Why so many negative ratings? I enjoyed her class and I thought she was very nice. I'd recomend taking her class.

Anthis is a fair professor. If you talk to her she'll help you out. Her class isn't easy, but if you pay attention in class you'll be fine. I skim my notes before the tests and have consistently gotten B+. On quizzes- be specific.

Ms. Anthis is one of the best psychology teachers I have ever had in my life. She's not easy by ANY means, but she is so smart and loves teaching what she knows. I would recommend her to anyone.

Easiest teacher ever. You don't even have to show up (ever) to get an A. It was nice for a change to have a teacher who graded you on the important part of the class,like THE SUBJECT,opposed to how often you raise your hand and that crap.

Sweetest teacher, very interesting class. She has quizzes every week, and about 4 exams plus a presentation. Never counts attendence except for presentation time. Take her...you'll be glad that you did!

this is actually a very cool person, rare in professors. she's understanding. i learned a lot in her class, but the exams were killer. her online stuff REEEEEAALLY helps, use it!

Dr. Anthis is incredibly cool, but don't be fooled into thinking that means she's spineless and will let students walk all over her. Her tests are easy if you read the book as and pay attention to the lectures. Conservative students who are put off by occasional liberal commentary should avoid.

She's an awesome teacher and you learn a lot in class. She makes class lots of fun. Her tests though are so hard! I find that even if I study and complete the online tests I get just ok grades on the tests

her class was a breaze if you read the materials. unfortunately most of the class i was in were lazy and thought they could pass the exams just by studying their notes. fully informative, very clear instructing. plus she is very nice. read and you will pass. i got an a while working full time and carrying 6 classes. this is a real class.

fair grader and reviews for each test with you.. You learn alot and shes nice and helpful too so go and see her.

Very interesting class. tough grader. doesn't take attendence, but if you miss work you get a zero and she does not believe in make-up work even if you have a doctors note. follows her syllabus. she's very smart and knows what she is talking about. a lot of work, but overall a good class.

OMG...run while you can. You will never meet another like her. She's sweet and interesting and then slams you with the most bizzare exam questions! ONLY take her if you're a exam wiz. I've done all that I can and I average a D! I had a 3.7 until I took her!!!!

She was hard but nice when you talked to her alone or via email. Tests were open note/book, but you had to go to everyclass to fill in powerpoints and actually study to do well. I recommend her but go to class even tho its optional or you will fail. Class grade is out of 600 points, and final project 200 pts!

I like her lecture outlines on Webct and extra crediut book was cool and shes really clear about what she wanted on for the project. Class not easy but youll learn something but you have to read and go to class. Im giving my sister in law the book.

I don't understand why everybody hates Anthis...her class was the easiest college class I've taken in my college career, I got an A in her class. If you read the book before the tests and go to class and print out the powerpoint notes you'll get an A. She also offers plenty of extra credit.

The awesomest professor. She really cares about her students and cares about the grade. I would definitely consider taking another class with her if she teaches one I'm going to take. Absolutely awesome and so nice and understanding.

Gives a study guide for each test with EXACTLY whats on the test... if you take the time to do the work like college is for, you'll do fine!

One of the best teachers I've had at Southern. Both her notes and slides helped me ace this class. Everything from her tests comes right from them! Just take the time to study and you'll do fine. Also, really caring, and understanding. It seems like she really wants her students to do well and is interested in the subject! I highely reccomend her!

Anthis is very sweet and understanding. Online homeworks- helpful but tedious, and have to be on time. Fast paced class. Covers 3 chapters a week. must read to understand class. Great teacher makes everything easy to understand and always has respect for the students. While class isn't mandatory GO TO CLASS she knows who shows up and who does not. For people who did not do well in this class they obviously put no effort in...you must read..then reread the chapters assigned, she REALLY wants you to do well.

She was an amazing teacher. Alot of work but it was pretty easy and she was always available for extra help.

Anthis is pleasant and helpful. My issue with the course was that too much value was placed on the final paper. The points were not well distributed between work, exams,etc. through out the course. That final paper can change your grade from a B F or a D - A/B. Be sure you know what she's looking for. That too, can be a bit of a guessing game.

Great professor. Dr. A is very helpfull, she cares trully for her students and explains materials perfectly. Online homework is hard, i'm not going to lie, on average it takes 1+hour to complete. Overall: take her, she will make you have fun while learning. The test are ok, plus she drops your lowest one, so that cool. Also; she is very pretty. ;)

AMAZING! She is the best professor I have ever had. She is very caring and wants her students to do well. She will always go out of her way to help you. She is very intelligent and makes topics interesting and relevant to every day life. I highly recommend taking her.

Dr. A was probably the best teacher this semester. Print out the powerpoints before coming to class so that you can follow along with the lecture. She tells you not to study with flashcards, but personally I studied that way as I have always done and was fine. I am glad she made the online homework optional due to technology problems.

I love her! Great professor, and is extremely caring for her students. You can tell she wants everyone to do well. You can ask her anything during class and she is willing to answer. You can also email her all the time for extra help. Highly recommeneded.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Dr. A inspired me to want to get my PH.D. Do not take her courses unless you want to be challenged. Her tests require lots of studying, however she is one of the most thorough and patient professors I have come across and absolutely loved her teaching style!I LOVED hearing what she had to say!

Great professor, great class. She's extremely helpful, stimulating lectures and really makes sure everyone understands the material. Tests aren't bad, make sure you study and follow her study guides. Final exam is optional. I strongly recommend any class with her.

She is a good teacher. Her slides are online before class so you can just take notes on the side. If you pay attention to the lecture and read the book, you'll do fine on the exams. She drops the lowest grade so the final is optional.

super nice, great sense of humor too. Go to class, print out the slides, take notes on them, and listen to her hints about the test. Read the book sections that are on the study guides and you'll do great. 5 tests and a final, drops the lowest one! a pleasure and you really do learn alot.

Anyone that had anything bad to say must have had a personal grudge. She is more than helpful and possibly the most caring and thoughtful professor I've ever had. The book is scary but she gives out a detailed study guide before every test. If you know the study guide you don't need to read the book. Great professor!!!

She is one of the most helpful & caring professors out there! She gives you detailed study guides for each test & drops the 2 lowest test grades (counts 5 of the 7). Her paper isn't truly a formal paper & if you can show effort you will pass.

Professor Anthis is so nice and really caring :) I suggest definitely doing the study guides before each exam, read the chapters (even though they may be long), because it is very helpful. Really not a difficult class if you put the effort in and study.

Awesome professor!!!! She makes the best of her time in out of lecture. She keeps blackboard up to date and informs her students on anything important. On a reg basis she comes to class early to prepare her lecture and downloads any videos so they are ready to go! She is very helpful!!!

Dr Anthis is a great professor! I liked psychology prior to taking this course, now I absolutely love it! She is everything I could hope for in a professor. Very helpful and gives you a study guide for each exam. If you study the guide, you will pass the course.

Anthis is a great online teacher. She is constantly sending out reminders on when to take tests and quizzes. Has discussion questions for each chapter. Gives you the option on how you want to be graded at the end. Easy online class.

She is an AWESOME online professor! I was a little hesitant to take an online class but she is always reminding you of what is due. She posts lectures to go along with the readings and study guides. I would definitely recommend taking this class!!

I was hesitant to take an online class, but Dr. Anthis is an awesome professor! She always sent emails reminding us when quizzes and exams were due, and encouraged us to come to office hours if we needed extra help. Definitely planning on taking another online class with her. I would highly recommend taking her classes!

Dr. Anthis is a great professor to take online. She provides you with power points and study guides for quizzes and exams. She lets you have 3 attempts on every quiz/exam and will count your highest attempt. Great professor!

I love love loved this professor. Very down to earth, very easy to approach. I took child psychology and i love psychology but i also loved the way she taught it with giving real life examples from youtube videos, etc. You never get the feeling like you cant talk to her or ask her for extra help. She tries to make sure everything makes sense.

She's one of best professors that I had so far for psychology, she is very nice and helpful. Her tests can be challenging because she does scenario questions, but she will help you understand the material. There's 4 exams with the lowest grade dropped, the final is optional. But I would recommend her, and I would definitely take her for another course. Her class overall is easy if you take the time to study ahead of time, and be sure to read the textbook because it will help you pass the exams

The BEST psychology professor. Took her online course and still found her lectures to be incredibly interesting. If you run into any problems or have questions she gets back to you immediately and is so understanding. I would take her again in a heartbeat. Loved this course!

Dr. Anthis is so great. This class is reading heavy. We read a lot of books and do presentations on them in groups. There are very few tests and papers. This class is more self taught with her support.

Prof. Anthis is an excellent Professor, you can tell she cares about her students and wants to see them succeed. Psych lifespan is a very difficult topic and this is not an easy course, but she gives us all the necessary tools to help us succeed and do great. Thank you for a great course and all of the support. This class was great!! The material was very interesting, and it was thoroughly covered. Each quiz and test could be taken three times, and only the highest grades were counted. The book and posted lectures help you fill out the study guide, which is exactly the material that is on the tests. Definitely a good class to take!!

Dr. Anthis teaches this class from a life skills perspective. She is an organized online professor. Everything you need is uploaded, and she reminds you when quizzes and tests are due. She also give information on events that you can take or leave. And this sounds really weird, but she has a really pleasant voice to listen to her audio lecture.

most answers were on quizlet. would recommend doing the study guide and not really needing to write down all the notes from each slide.

I enjoyed this professor so much! Due to this course having to be online, she posted videos for us every Monday. They were candid, informative and inspiring. The material was challenging at times, but she was always quick to respond to emails and had office hours often. Loved her!

Easy A. Quizzes and exams can be retaken 3 times and the lowest grade at the end of the semester gets dropped. Lectures are short, but all answers can be found online anyway. She cares so much about students well being outside of school, she doesn't want this class to be a headache. Very accommodating, and her weekly check up videos are fun to see

This was one of the easiest classes ive taken. I took this async and we only had 5 quizzes and 5 exams 1 optional final exam and everything was 3 attempts. You do not need to stress over this class. Quizlet will be your best friend ;) I wish all my classes were this easy. DON'T EVEN HESITATE TO TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

If you have the privilege to take this course, do it! Dr. A is the best of the best. First class I've taken that I felt like I could apply the material to real-life the same day I learned it. If you take this and see 2 puppet shows on the syllabus, DO NOT be worried!! Dr. A is an easy grader and provides you with all the information that you need.

Take this class for an easy A. It was async, but she emails frequently to check in with us. 5 quizzes, 5 exams, and 1 optional exam, all with 3 retakes and she drops the lowest grade. All answers were on Quizlet, you can literally finish this entire class in a week. Do not hesitate to take this class!!!

She is the best!! She helped me get into her full class and the work was so straight forward. Her lectures were played out very well and helped students understand to the best extent. She gives so much extra credit and drops your lowest grade, guaranteed a great grade. Only 5 exams and quizzes (none are lockdown) and multiple attempts on each!!!

Such an easy online course. She provides all the information in the slideshows and even makes study guides for the exams. There are 3 attempts on all quizzes and exams. I never had to email her because the expectations were made clear and I was able to complete the class early as there were only quizzes and exams due. Easy to learn and pass.

This is an easy ASYNC course. Everything was straightforward. All the work for the entire semester is posted. You can finish the class early if you want. The content was interesting. The slideshows have voice recordings that provide more explanation. The assignments are just quizzes and exams. All the information is in the slides. No textbook.
