She is very over excited about what she is teaching. But she also explains things very well. Easy class to pass
No Comments
she is someone whos lectures are understandable but her exams are very difficult. prepare for exams to look nothing like the material that ws presented in the homework. good lectures but her exams are too difficult... nice person though
Her exam is hard, and I think her lecture is not really interesting. You have to read the book and understand it before you go to her class in order to understand what she is talking about.
Mean.... this is what she is! She might be a good teacher, but she is not helpful at all. If you are good at math, go for it. You might enjoy her class. But if you are not that good in Math, don't take her class no matter what!! She will just ruin your last interest in the subject!
I am a math major and have never had any problems in math, but her class was just awful. She writes on the chalkboard faster than any intstructor i've ever had. She is not good at explaining anything. The homework doesn't help a person on a test. I transfered out mid-semister, it saved my 4.0 gpa
She is a good teacher but some students don't like her method of teaching. Her class is do able but you need to pay attention.
ye, good one
the worst teacher i've ever had. period.
good teacher who explains things. nice person who obviously likes math a lot
She is dood but she is writes on board so quickly, her exams are hard and her grading homework is not fair. 80's of HW problems, but she picks only 3 and those problems must be absolute correct. If you did but got wrong answer then you failed the entire homework.
she grades easy. just study your notes from class. homework doesn't go towards grade. Really well organized teacher and good at explaining.
Answers all your questions when you go to her office hours. good at explaining how to use the calculator.
mean..too fast can't follow her.test is hard. if you are really good at math try but if you dont do not take her class!!
Awsome teacher. Very understanding. The only math class ive ever passed with a B. I had to miss a few days for some training and i still did well.
She is pretty nice, and her class was easy for me. and i loved homeworks that don't count for grades 5 tests they aren't too bad
Unless you're already familiar with the material, this probably isn't a very good class for you. I suggest auditing this class before you take her. It does take a mature and dedicated student to pass this class with a decent grade. If you're hard working and dedicated, then this class is for you, but if not, try someone else.
awesome calculus teacher. I had to drop but I would take her again
i think that she is the best math teacher that a person can take. she really made me love math. i would take her again. she is very helpful and she works with students. If you need help she is more the willing to help u out. TAKE HER!!!!!!!
Excellent teacher, knows everything about math, very patient, answers all ques, but VERY rapid pace! Don't blink, because you might miss an explanation! If you want an A: do ALL the homework, ALL the practive exams + more, attend all classes, get A's on 4 exams, or at least 3 A's and one B and don't dare to go the bathroom while she's lecturing!!!
I'll be honest, I only stayed in her class for a week. Being a horrible math student, I found her class was too fast paced for my capability. That wasn't the reason I dropped though--the main reason was because in her two hour class, she didn't allow her students to use the restroom nor break for 10 minutes. Very odd...felt like high school again.
a good one

Just do all the homework and you won't need to study. Pretty easy grader.
This is the only math teacher that math actually made sense. I never understood math and it gave me alot of frustration but this professor explained things in a way that I actually understood. She is no nonsense, gives homework and strict but it is worth it.
she teaches you like you are in elementary school.... i was very bored
good teacher and nice person
Professor Numrich is an excellent instructor. Especially, if you're a math phobic like me. Her quizzes and exams aren't hard. If you do your homework and study you will do well. Because of Professor Numrich I am confident in all my math endeavors.
She would be a great middle school teacher.Treats the entire class like children. Get together in groups class! There is no question that she is a sharp math professor.I just could not stand being treated like a child in her class. She would spend way too much time with the group thing all the time!
Great teacher, I highly reccomend professor Numrich, she makes the subject easy and clear, and she always happy to answer any questions you have. Just make sure to study all problems prior to her tests because sometimes the questions can be a little more challenging than your basic question and kepp up with hw and you should do fine.
The lecture is pretty boring, but if you mind more about the grade, she's definitely the teacher you want. She writes really fast (sometimes hard to follow her writing and explaining together)but she does a good job with explaining. Homeworks r not fair but grading is easy (can easily have an A).
Explains things clearly and answers homework questions. I liked having bonus problems.
One of the best teachers I have had. Makes math understandable.
I took her during an early morning class, and she's decent. She provides good examples and teaches at a good rate. However her tests always had curveballs and our test period was not long enough for the class.
she is really nice. i took her for 190 and ill take her for math 220. she really helps you with the materials. i took 191 with another professor unfortunately but i got an A fortunately:)!afetr 191 i just realized that how much prof. Numrick was nice to her students . she is the best, i believe honestly:)
A teacher that should be in the olympics for teaching. One of the best iv ever had.
The BEST math teacher i've had so far in elco. i wasn't looking forward to math after my previous math class but she totally changed that, very clear with lectures and test aren't hard just study the practice tests she gives before the actual test. i recommend her 100% =]
My first semester with numrich was also my first in college, so i of course didnt show up to every class and I also may have dosed off one or twice, but i did all my homework and paid attention. I'm now in math 70 w her again, HOWEVER she now has a grudge against me from last time and will NOT give me full points for ANYTHING.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Best math teacher @ ElCamino so far. She is very helpful, I got a C in the class because I slacked off. She is willing to teach you and she does it the simple way to understand concepts. She is veryhelpful during her office hours too. DO your hw and go to class and you'll be fine. her tests are exactly what she covers in class
Nice teacher. She moves very fast with class material. There is little time to ask questions in class. She does not offer much extra credit. Not much interaction in class.
On tests, she hands out papers which is to show all work and answers. I used it as scratch paper and showed my work and answers on the test which we are allowed to write on. My fault for not have listened correctly. She didn't give me those points! She told me to consider about dropping the class. It was the first test!
she was the worst teacher, very mean and didnt give me much help at all. her way of gradeing seemed unfair and i did not do well in her class!! She wont give you much help and seemed like a grumpy old lady! now i have to retake the class, and so does the other half of the class!!
Best math teacher I have had. She explains everything and does not assume you know it. Tests are just like homework.
Professor Numrich is the most clear and concise teachers I have ever had. She writes all her notes on the board so it is easy to follow along and take notes at the same time. I know most professors give out handouts, but she is not one of them. If you have any questions she's more than happy to answer them. Great professor.
OMG!!! Shes so easy take her Gaurenteed A.! Math 220, if you are taking with her, is the most easiest math class one can take.
Great Professor! Allows you to get homework done in class AND you can ask her questions on the homework. Not a long class, super easy, and you get out early once you finish your homework. She grades homework out of three points which stinks but the tests are easy and usually consist of 15 questions. I HIGHLY recommend her!!
she is the beat!
Read all the good reviews so decided to take Math 180 with her this spring semester, ended up dropping the class [so did more than half of the class]. She's alot harder than I thought. She moves prettyfast and the tests are hard. Her notes are pretty clear tho. If you already know the material, you should def. take her.
OK she is good. But if you want to learn the course work conceptual she does not do a great job. Also she does not give extra time during exams.
If you're good at math take her because she goes fast during her lectures. hwk gradeing sucks bcuz she leaves a bunch of hwk but only grades 3 problems. She is very helpful and kind.
she is a really nice teacher. Do all your homework and you'll be fine.
she goes fast during the lecture, but she is clear. Make sure you do all the homework!. she is very helpful
Shes very clear, very easy, and very nice. She gave us a lot of time to do hw. Her exams are based on the notes and the review problems that she gives us right before test day. I would definitely recommend her. Do your hw, take notes, and pay attention. You should be able to pass the class with an A
Stuck in math 40 and she sucks!! Be ready to learn as soon as you walk through the door and ready to takes.
Awesome teacher, I absolutely LOVE Ms. Numrich. She does such a great job helping her students. It was really difficult for me to not understand the material. If I could take her for Stats I would, but unfortunately she doesn't teach it.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER FOR THIS CLASS.
She has to be one of the best math teachers i've come across in el camino. Very clear and organized. ALWAYS be on time. As soon as class begins she begins lectures. Do your hw and pay attention in class for sure to pass!
very great teacher
She moves wayyyy too fast by the time I finished writing down one problem she would be on the third one -__- she be moving across that chalkboard! She is a kind woman but I wouldn't recommend her.
I took her for Math 191 in the Spring. She is a really great professor. She is passionate about the subject and does not hesitate to help if you do not understand something. I really enjoyed her class. I received an A.
She is so helpful! and very clear with explaining the concept. She does many examples with the students during class. The homework are optional but very helpful. Her tests are based on her notes and the homework! Although she does not take attendance, showing up to class helps a lot ! very good math professor.
Good professor. Prof. Numrich will make good use of your time and usually will start the lecture at the beginning of class. She goes over the material quickly, so only take her class if you can handle a fast paced lecture. Do not expect her to compromise on the scheduling and/or the way she grades her tests.
Lectured quickly because there is a lot of material to cover, but easy if u follow along. Hw not required (grade based on exams only) but prepares u for exams. Stays after class to help, really wants u to succeed!! Very approachable.
Great teacher. Do all the homework correctly and you should be able to do good on the test. Also make sure to go over notes prior to test.
She is such a great teacher, super caring and really wants you to succeed. As long as you pay attention to notes the class is super easy.
Very clear, structured lectures. If you can do examples and specific hw questions she assigns, then the exams are totally fair. Tells you what to study for on exams. Usually gives 1 or 2 bonus questions per exam. DO THE HW even though it's not required. She gave me an A when I had an 88 percent just because I had hw credit. I wish she taught 220!
She has great lectures, she will step by step walk you through math 190, and what calculus is, and purpose of calculus. Her tests are not that hard, just do homeworks and take notes, you will probably get an A. Dont skip class or slack, lectures are very important. Ask her for help if you dont understand something. Take her!
If you don't mind long lectures, tons of homework, and extremely difficult exams, this class might be for you. She goes through topics extremely fast and tends to over complicate basic concepts. At the beginning of the semester we had around 60 students, by the 3rd exam we had around 25. Beware of this class, I would reccomend another professor.
DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU'RE NOT GOOD AT MATH! She goes way too fast in her lectures where you're always struggling to pay attention and write at the same time. If you go to her office hours she makes you feel stupid for not knowing something. She doesn't follow the book so if you miss a day you're lost. NO CALCULATORS
Be ready for tons of homework and super fast lectures. I've had my fair share of fast lectures but nothing compared to this professor. If you don't mind working on your own to figure out a problem then by all means take her, otherwise, find someone who gives you the opportunity to let the lectures sink in instead of playing catch-up with your notes
bruhs don't lie. you sukas . she is sooooo good. im gonna take her class next year again. booo you liars go away read and do some homeworks.
let me honest about this prof. some people said they don't like her lecture bc, she goes way too fast. but you know what as I am an international student who've never learned trig before but I passed. she is good instructor, y'all were just not listening. I'm taking her agian at math 190. just seat in the front row pay attention you won't have any
Do Not take her if you can't learn on your own. Her lectures are fast and full of useless easy examples that don't help you on the homework or the test. She gives a tremendous amount of homework which doesn't count for any points. She's a very hard grader, marks off points for little mistakes on exams.
Honestly, the poor ratings are over exaggerated by miles. She is NOT a hard teacher. She's actually easy as long as you 1.) Come to class & take notes, 2.) Do your homework, 3.) Review. Do these three and you're set. She DOES lecture fast though. If you take her, take every exam seriously because the 5 exams are the only way to earn points.
I've always had very little interest in math, but prof Numrich makes it very interesting for everyone! I would highly recommend her! She does give a lot of HW although most of it is done in class. She's very caring & if you fail her class then you must be doing something wrong! I passed her class with an A and I would take her again if I had to :)
Professor Numrich was so helpful, kind, and accommodating. Definitely recommend!
Her tests weren't particularly terrible, but her attitude sucked. She makes false judgments based on one grade receive on her exam and is unwilling to motivate students to do well. Also shakes up the students' confidence about passing the class, if they messed up on one test. There are only 3 exams, no quizzes. it's definitely not a cake class.
Honestly, she lectures so well that doing the bare minimum (showing up to take notes) will get you a passing grade. She does assign a ton of homework and she'll check only 3 from the entire set, she will take your homework scores into consideration if you are between grades. Homework definitely helps, she will take problems from the sets for tests
This class is hard because CALC2 IS HARD. She does an incredible job explaining info, homework (not worth points) is usually finished in class. Each test is 33.3% of the grade -- make sure you study hard. Tests are not hard but you have to know the material -- she only gives you 45 mins. DO THE HOMEWORK tests are based of the HW. Bonus q's on tests
Prof Numrich is amazing! Gave homework (not online) regularly, but not excessive amounts. Explains lectures really well, and answers all her students' questions. If you are one who struggles a bit with math, take her!
Math has always been my "worst" subject but she makes stats very easy & understandable! Supposedly it's her first time teaching this course but she's great. Seems like a lot of hw but it's mostly done in class w/ her. She appreciates when you call her out on her mistakes so don't feel bad! Always in a good mood & approachable.
She clearly explains everything and homework is done in class. Highly recommend.
Overall, much of the class was spent with the professor doing problems on the whiteboard. She also could be discouraging to those who had any questions.
For our class she was very caring and reasonable. Clear grading criteria and study guides before each test. Our entire grade was 3 tests and homework is P/NP. Her exams are essentially the practice/HW problems so there are no surprises. She is a very fair grader. Do the hw and you will at least get a B or A on the exams.
Extremely fast in lecture and takes points off for minor mistakes. Do not recommend.
Absolutely horrible
Honestly the best math teacher at elcamino and i would take her for every math she teaches. class only grades were 3 exams. She isnt a tough grader on exams bc as long as you try the problem but get it wrong you can get 4 out of 5 points for example. Do the practice problems she gives u to study you will get an easy A. Do the hw also bc it helps to
So much respect for this gem of a professor. She cares and really knows her numbers. This professor literately creates your notes for you, just make sure you keep up with here speed of handwriting. If you'r lazy, you will not pass - if you'r diligent, this is the class for you.
I love professor Numrich!!! I am absolutely terrible at math and she makes stats so easy. She will go miles to help you and she actually makes sense when she speaks. The only thing that sucks is that your grade is composed of only three tests but honestly shes such a great professor that you will understand easily. Take her!!
Professor Numrich is great. Her lack of trusting when it comes to exams were a real surprise to me! You must be ready to take notes in all class sessions and do not miss class. She is very informative and willing to help you out as much as possible. If you do not wish to sit all and write for the entire class this is not the class for you.
Wonderful teacher. She makes sure you understand the materials before moving on to the next section.
This professor is really hard on grading
She likes to emphasize the little things you can miss while doing math problems by repeating it multiple times. Your grade is based off 3 exams, so far Im passing and theyre pretty easy. Also make sure to get the 5th edition of Michael Sullivans Stats textbook, because shes expecting you to have it on the first day. Overall shes solid.
She explains steps clearly and answers all questions. Review time before tests helps a lot.
Definitely take her she grades homework and gives practice problems before tests
She does not like to answer your questions. She basically says, the answer is 10. If you ask how did you arrive at the answer? She'll answer it's 10, don't you see it? More than 3/4 of the students left her class. She has a bad attitude. If I'm paying for the class, I'm expecting detailed lecture. Don't waste your money or time on her.
Took for covid. She went above & beyond, detailed straight to the point lecture videos for all topics we are expected to know. Grade is 100% off the 3 exams, but hw is suggested. She is involved, kind, & eager to help. Take notes, do suggested CH test examples (and some similar) and you got it. I wish I could take her for all my math classes.
I used to despise math until I experienced math taught by Professor Numrich! Dont miss class. Her lectures are extremely thorough. Also her method of teaching a math problem Is consistent. Very organized. She gives good feedback. For most part, exams are straight from practice tests; homework is essential. If had to, would take her again!
Prof K did an excellent job in STATS150. Due to Covid, I was very nervous about taking stats online. However, let me tell you, I wish I had her for all of my math classes. Her lectures are very handy and she does homework problems in the examples also. Exams are very straight forward and are just like the HW prob. TAKE HER I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
In the pre-recorded lectures she doesnt explain anything shes doing and throws out answers without how she got them leaving me clueless and causing me to have to spend double the amount of class time to research what she actually just said and teach it to myself. I wouldn't take this class if you cant teach yourself math bc she cant either
I took it over winter, and I honestly have no regrets. Prof. Numrich was a great teacher who made clear-cut lecture videos and explained everything thoroughly. Homework is optional but it helps A LOT to prep for exams since its very similar to what youll see on the tests. Take notes, do the assignments, and youll pass with flying colors.
I enjoyed taking this class because the homework wasnt as bad its pretty self explanatory and the online lectures posted help a lot same goes with the exams.
This professor requires all notes, tests, and homework to be on paper. There are 3 tests and that will be the only things you are graded on. HW is optional but you can earn 1 ec point if completed. Textbook is required to complete assignments. For tests, you do it on paper and submit by taking pics of it. The professor is nice and ready to help.
I love her!! Her lectures make understanding the material so easy. HW is optional but it's for EC and her exams are very similar to the HW so definitely DO IT and the exams will be a breeze. She's such a kind and caring professor, I would highly recommend her!
Professor Numrich is a great teacher, she made math seem so simple. Wish I could take her class in person. I dropped this class bc I was failing the exams, I didnt have enough time to finish them. Lots of hw and only get 1 point for it which goes towards the exam, basically no credit for hw, If you do the homework and study, you will pass.
too much lectures to go through, too much homework, grade is mainly based off exams, mid teacher ngl for stats it was manageable but very picky when comes to grading
Professor Numrich is a great teacher, She's caring. Lectures are pre-recorded and simple. She makes statistics so easy. Take her class you won't regret it! Lots of homework, but do them, they count as extra credit towards your exams. Almost all of the homework problems are in the lectures where she shows step by step how to do it.
Professor Numrich is a great teacher. She genuinely cares about students who wants to pass her class. She doesn't accept late assignments but she is willing to help you if you put in the work. Use her time in office hour wisely and study hard, you'll pass. I enjoyed taking her class.
If you like a loose online format for learning, she's the best. She caters to students who've never taken the course before tho, she requires you to solve the problems her way. She's caring and wants you to succeed, BUT if you're not responsible enough to do the work alone or if you're a big procrastinator, you're going to trip and fall A LOT.
There are three tests for which the final is not cumulative. Simply show up to every lecture, take good notes, and do the homework that does not count towards your grade for practice, and you'll easily pass.
Felt like the lectures really only showed the most simple forms of equations, in the syllabus she says homework is not graded or turned in, yet near the first exam she asked for certain problems to be submitted while ensuring that the rest of the homework is visible in the surrounding area felt like that should have been made known at the beginning
For this class, three exams determine your grade. Her homework is worth nothing, but if you don't do it, you'll definitely not pass this class. To solve a problem, you must do it her way, or it's wrong.
Just keep up with her lectures and do the homework and you'll do fine. Test problems are near identical to her homework problems and she is pretty clear about what she wants to see on your paper! Very rarely did I ever have to go to her office hours and she provides a decent amount of extra credit that you should definitely take advantage of!
the lectures weren't too hard to follow but i felt like the material just wasn't explained that well and it wasn't very helpful during the test. i was never really good at math tho so thats on me lol. shes a nice person tho cuz she was very understanding when i had technical issues with submitting things
I took her online course over the summer. Study lecture notes, a lot of test questions come from it. Do the homework, super helpful. She's willing to help if needed.
The material is really hard and during the exam, it has a lot of questions for such a little time. I have never been so lost in my life. I have to drop it.
Lectures are pre-recorded and really not that great. Grades were based on exams. She uses old material and it would be helpful for more than a few examples at a face-pace.
Only three grades, the three exams. Can do homework for only one extra point. Her lectures are horrible only a couple minuets each and only solves the simplest problems. She is very nit picky about how you do the work and you must do it her way. Had to put in a lot of work to get an A. I do not recommend her. Terrible.
Took her class online, Was pretty good. Grades are based on 3 exams. Lectures are quick, direct and clear. Gives feedback and is always willing to help. She's genuinely one of my fav profs, take her if you want someone who will respond, be patient, and help! Im not good at math whatsoever but she was lots of help.
I was honestly afraid to take stats online, but I was not let down at all. I thrived in this class. Her homework was just for extra credit, but she gives you points that go towards your exam. Those points ADD UP. So just do your homework, ask her questions and you should be fine, it was a manageable class :) Her lessons were great.
Graded is made up of 3 exams. She tries giving you credit everywhere she can. Response quickly and is very nice. Im in no means good at math but she made me enjoy math and learn math. Her lectures are very quick and direct/clear. she lets you use notes some times. Does not use lockdown browser. So you don't have that kind of pressure or anxiety
The material can be challenging, but make use of Unstuck AI and other study tools. Attend lectures, complete the homework, and you'll do well. The professor is understanding and wants students to succeed.
