Prior to taking Stat, I have to admit that I was freaking out because everyone I knew that took it, said it was hard. Maybe it was the professor they were taking but I'm taking this course with Kris right now and things seem to be going good! I aced my first test, he is very easy going and he makes stat easy to understand. AND he's HOT!!!!

I took statistics with Kristopher. He has a masters in stats so he knows his stuff. He is super smart, super funny and a blast. Stats is hard but he does a great job breaking it down. 5 exams and homework. Don't miss class or you will get behind. Don't buy book, use the online version as you will need statsportal. A+++

Kris is by far one of the best professors I've ever had. He takes a subject that isn't easy and breaks it down so that everyone understands. He's also really funny and will go out of his way to help anyone who isn't getting it. I would HIGHLY! recommend taking his class for stats!

Kris was a great professor. He's easy going and always willing to help. He's extremely funny and knows his math. As long as you attend his class, do the homework, and makes decent grade on the test you should be fine. I hated every math class I took except for this one. High recommended.

Statistics can ruin your life. However, Prof Marcus knows what he's doing. He breaks down the material to make it easier and always offers help. He's generous with grading and definitely curves giving credit for method rather than answer. Weekly hmwk and 5 exams. Attendance not req, but if you miss a class, you'll struggle. Walked away with an A.

I had dropped out Math stats class before due to the Teacher (T. Encheva) was terrible, her class size went from 36 to 9. I was not looking forward to this. Kris was very helpful, explained the material well. If I didn't understand it, he welcomes to ask questions and helps before/after class. Grading is extremely fair. Take Kris's class for this!

Kris is a fantastic teacher! I had always heard Stats was hard and/or boring, but I actually enjoyed this class and am so glad Kris was my instructor! Takes the time to explain, has great materials and clearly cares a lot that his students understand what's going on. Attendance and HW is important - both will help a ton with the tests. Kris rocks.

Stats is a hard class no matter what !! The information that kris gives you in class along with handouts comes together if you put study time into it. He takes time to answer the craziest questions over and over with so much patience. He replays to email promptly and available before and after class. I'm so glad he's at ACC !!

This professor is awesome! He obviously loves teaching math and is passionate about it. He teaches with so much patience. I hate college algebra but he made it great. He's an easy grader and gives partial credit just go to class and do your homework and you will do well! I would definitely recommend him!

I have barely tolerated a math class, let alone actually enjoyed one before Stats with this professor. His lectures are great! He keeps them interesting and teaches in a way you don't get lost. I broke my leg halfway through the semester and missed a few classes, which would have killed my semester, but he started recording lectures and saved me!

Kris takes a difficult subject and makes it understandable. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, and ask questions if you don't get something (he answers e-mails quickly). Take him if you can. If you study his test reviews and pay attention, you'll get an A.

I am terrible at math. Period. I don't ever get it. I actually have taken a Stats class before & my professor was so terrible & unclear I had to drop it. It terrified me to take it again. Kris is amazing. I have an A in class right now. He has made the material much MUCH easier to understand & has given me my confidence back. Highly recommend him!!

Professor Kris is such a down to earth person and an amazing professor! You can tell that he is passionate about his job and really wants his students to learn and understand. Goes step by step for every problem & will stop to answer any questions to make sure U have a clear concept of the problem & will stay after class if needed. 4 test (final is comprehensive) notes & reviews are exactly what 2B expected on tests. Was not a great student in math but Kris was a great teacher, very clear on lectures and made sure students understands the topic. Homework is very easy as long as you complete the assignment you'll always get 100's. Test are easy, if you take note you'll do just fine on the test. Side note: he kinda looks like vanilla ice.

He is an increbible professor. He make class very fun and interesting, the way he teaches math is easy to understand. He does not count attendance which is a great thing but not if you want to pass, he covers a lot of material so if you miss a class it's tough to get caught up. There's a lot of homework but it's easy.

I am currently taking 1332 College Math. Kristopher is the best ACC math teacher. I have never been good at math but he is patient and willing to help. I think ALL math teachers need to be mentored by him. He understands that this is a community college and not all of us are traditional students. Do your homework, come to class and participate.

I took his statistics course and in my opinion the best math professor i have ever taken at ACC. His lectures are very entertaining. He uses real life story examples and combines it with Statistics. His test are challenging but his grading is very fair. Make sure to do all of your homework and attend every class.

There are options for the book. I bought the one that you put in a binder and NEVER opened it. I liked using the ebook because it included videos and other links to help with content. Do the homework, learning curves, and practice quizzes; they help w/ tests! I missed a lot of the hw, lc's, and pqs, and got a B in the class.

One of the best professors ever. He makes a hard subject much easier to understand. Goes out of his way to help students. For example, he posted some recorded lectures for his online section, which helped immensely. LOTS of homework but very good practice for the tests.

Kris has been one of the Best math professors I've ever had. He's so caring and understanding and he teaches the material very well. He's always helpful with questions and he always explains the math clearly. His class made me love math and even consider changing my major to it. Awesome teacher! I was not the best at math but I got an A in his course. His grading method is like this: each question he looks at and says "does this person deserve an A, B, C, D, F for this question". So if you do all the math right and flip a negative sign somewhere on accident your still going to get like 80% credit for that question.

Speaking as someone who had to repeat Calculus 1, I emerged from Mr. Marcus' class with an A. He gives partial credit when grading, if he can see that you know what to do but messed up the simple calculations. He does an excellent job at explaining some difficult topics in Calculus 2 and has tons of scheduled OH. Also way too hot to be a professor.

I took him for a summer (11-week) Calculus 1 class. He was very flexible about late homework and told us what we needed to study for tests. He didn't give dates for tests but did give a week's notice. He covers the topics well and makes sure everyone has it down. Overall, great professor!

AMAZING. If you're taking stats online, WATCH THE LECTURE VIDEOS HE HAS. The book is tedious and homework is time consuming, but he makes sense of a usually difficult subject. Don't expect your grades back in a timely manner, but he's got more than a full plate and is a great professor so as long as you put the work in, there's no reason to worry.

Best math professor at ACC! Even if you struggle with math, you will pass if you take him. Lectures are very clear and there are no surprises on the exams. He has a separate calendar from Blackboard that shows when homework is due and exam dates. He is also a very relatable, funny guy and is always willing to help. I wish I could take him again!

Took his Calc I and II classes and let me say, he is an outstanding professor. Super nice and makes you feel good at math. Do yourself a favor and take Marcus. Con: He can talk too much but he doesn't skip a step with the methods. With that being said he doesn't assume you know the inns and outs. Pros: there are no surprises on the tests. CLEAR lectures, he wants you to succeed. He isn't your typical Math Professor b/c he doesn't over complicated the subject.

Great Professor. He made the most complicated material very simple. There is weekly homework, 4 exams and no quizzes. He is clear cut on what is expected. Do the homework, you will do fine on the exams. I wish I couldve taken him for Math 2414.

Great professor. I had a very bad Calc 1 background, I was able to understand his Calc 2 lectures well. His lectures are heavy, but they all have information necessary for homework assignments. His tests are very straight forward, and he doesn't grade harshly. I would recommend him if you aren't the best at math and need to get stronger in it.

Kristopher Marcus is a great professor, I had him for Calculus 1. He was very straight forward with all of his lectures and his homework. His lectures are very informative and he goes step-by-step through each part of the problems. I actually looked forward to coming to class and to top it all off he tells great stories to keep class fun!

I took the online course. He posts videos of the lectures, which are helpful, since you can watch them as many times as you need. Lectures are clear. Lots of homework. He provides study guides for exams. Do them, since the exams are similar. Only thing is that he can take a while to email you back because he is busy teaching multiple courses.

Really liked this class. I'm not math-phobic nor am I great at math, but i made a really good score in this class because he teaches it well. No sweat if you miss a lecture or two, they're all online. Pretty easy grader, will give partial credit (if you don't leave something blank). Fun teacher, easy going and likes to make jokes and share trivia.

Very clear on everything, repeats as necessary, patient, individualized attention, classes are recorded and well-presented, extremely well organized, the only math teacher I would go back and take any math (uhh!) class from, and I've had a few .

He goes the extra mile for his students, Records the lecture and notes and posts them. He grades things individually so he can see what you messed up on during the math process. Medium amount of HW but all odd #s at the back of the text book.

He creates a rapport with students, makes class a safe place to ask questions, gives 5min breaks after 45min of work, always makes us laugh. Ive learned sm more than I signed up for. He keeps notes fun, and easy to understand, made the transition to online. Ive said it before Ill say it again, this man is my favorite man. (No hetero Im a lesbian)

Kris goes above and beyond for his students and even students who aren't in his class. he has a youtube channel, The Math Informant, (MI) and personal MI website where he has recorded lectures and other assorted explanations, he tutors outside class, and never has morning classes. he even took on extra classes for another prof during covid-19.

I am a 9th grader taking dual credit at this school and math is my weak point. The lectures that he gave supplemented by the solution and section goals videos in WileyPlus were phenomenal. Contacting for questions is also very easy. I cannot think about anything bad about this professor!

I took his online class during COVID but he allowed us to attend his class sessions online. All lectures are recorded and you can watch later but during his live classes you can get help on questions after. Book is required. Do ALL HW PROBLEMS and PRACTICE EXAMS thank me later. Very caring and will explain it until you understand. Highly recommend

This is by far the best professor I have had at ACC. As long as you answer all homework questions you get a 100. The pretest help you to prepare for the exams. There are 4 exams total that you can either take during class time by Skype or the lockdown browser through BB (recorded). I was very unsure about taking this class but he made it easy.

Most students don't take math just for fun, but Kris does make it a fun class! Very caring, will answer all questions, guide you through the scary formulas and concepts. Wont brush you off but will make sure you are getting it. A decent amount of HW takes some time but really-really helps to practice and feel confident and prepared for tests.

Best professor at ACC for sure. So much to learn from him, because he is really really smart. He has a great sense of humor and excellent speaking skills. He talks like a professional Youtuber. If you like Math and feel confident with Statistics, you might not need to pay for the textbook, there's a free version on the Internet, look it up.

You do have to show up to class and do your homework, by no means is this an "easy A" however, if you aren't understanding something he doesn't mind taking the time to make sure you understand the information. Favorite professor ever. His lectures were found on youtube for each chapter; also provided notes that are understandable without watching the lecture. Every single homework I turned in I got 100 even with mild mistakes and some a day late. Very detailed in lecture with "what if" questions and always available during office hours in zoom. Amazing.

I took his Elementary Statistics class online. Excellent professor - absolutely hilarious. Well organised. Statistics is hard, but he made it interesting and graded fairly. Not a ton of extra credit opportunities. Just watch the lectures, do the homework and take the practice quizzes over and over and you'll do well on all 4 tests. Take his class!

I failed stats in high school, so I was nervous to take it during college. But Prof Marcus made me honestly really enjoy the material. His lectures are never boring and he really makes sure that you know what youre doing. EASY A. No brainer!!! Just do the HW, and do practice test. Do practice test couple of times and the exams are 100% the same. Thats what I did. couldn't be easier than this. Don't skip this professor and an easy A.

He wants all to succeed. He will never not not give some points on exams for questions attempted, also if he sees you skipped a problem, he'll slowly give ya step to go in the right direction. You could also start a problem down the right path, slip up and put one digit incorrectly and it messes up the rest, you'll still get full pts. Always try!

What a gem! I literally suck at math and had never taken a statistics class, but Kris made it so understandable. This was a condensed summer session and Kris was the absolute best at making sure we understood EVERYTHING for the exams. He is very generous with giving credit on the exams even if you get something wrong. TAKE HIM FOR STATS!!!

Grades are mostly from exams and some from homework. This was an Asynchronous class so I just watched recorded lectures. He really dumbs it down for you in elementary statistics. The exams are proctored but is you learn your stuff he will give partial credit for anything given.

Probably the best professor Ive had throughout my college career. Homework is harder than the actual tests, but thats something out of his control. Super easy class if you watch lectures and do homework.

The lectures are awesome (sooo clear!! And he's funny). The grade is 90% exams (there are 4) and 10% homework (14 assignments). But, if you do the homework, the exams aren't too bad. He's very accessible (has office hours right after class). The textbook is online, but you don't need the extra online material (I got a refund & rented a hard copy).

90% of your grade is tests and 10% is homework. He's funny as hell in class and makes sure to teach you everything you need for the test. His online lectures are high quality with digital hand written notes and his green screen which he uses to keep the lectures different. Great study guides and an overall legend of a math teacher.

Prof. Marcus is awesome. I took his asynchronous course and felt very supported and guided through each assignment and exam. Make sure to watch the lectures, take notes, and turn in your hw. 1 hw each week, 4 exams total. Can take awhile to respond to emails, reach out sooner than later if needed. Take advantage of practice exams, they help a ton.

I'm not great at math and stats is touch but Marcus is so good at teaching. He is generous with grading. His questions are really well written. Don't fall behind in the course. It is rigorous.

Great prof, there are a lot of homework but honestly pretty easy unlimited tries so you can easily get a 100. there are 4 tests and they all were pretty easy except the final exam I would definitely study for that but overall great professor very accessible will be there to help you also drops 1-2 of your lowest grade. I hate math but somehow Kris made the content easy to comprehend!! You will need to watch his lectures, take all the notes, and TAKE THE PRACTICE EXAMS!! Practice exams are VERY similar in format to the real thing. Summer session had 4 exams. He is extremely generous with giving credit for your effort. He is a fantastic instructor!

I'm HORRIBLE at math. Professor Marcus explains concepts well and provides recorded lectures, hand written notes to download and practice exams that are almost identical to what the test will be like. Do the online homework and practice exams and you'll do great. I got a C but it could have been an A if I had realized how easy that was to achieve.

I LOVED THIS PROFESSOR!! He made math so easy! I was so nervous taking an online statistics course but with him it wasn't bad at all. test reviews that help on the test a tone.lectures are recorded to go back an watch them if you missed class or needed to see something over again. His examples were always relevant and he was always willing to help!

Professor Marcus is a natural teacher who LOVES math, he doesn't mind taking a moment to answer your questions. If you are hesitant sign up for his class. Be open & ready to study. KM knows his stuff. Has been teaching for a long time and knows that stats is a difficult subject for a lot of ppl. Makes the class as interesting as it can be made considering the subject; is more than happy to work with you 1:1. Fairly prompt at responding to emails. He was more than willing to work w/ me on rescheduling my final. Highly rec!

Watching his pre-recorded lectures & taking notes before coming to class gave the advantage of really grasping the material & asking ?'s during class. Professor Marcus goes above and beyond so that his students have their best chance. - structured, organized, & provides extra resources - classes are enjoyable. He is clear in explaining concepts. He also has a great sense of humor and patience. Math is difficult, but he makes it much more approachable. TAKE THE PRACTICE EXAMS & you've got this!

I had to drop my first stats class because the professor made no sense, professor Kris changed that! I would take this in person or online with him on video because it is not your simple basic math. Math is my strong suite and this class still tripped me up. 4 exams percentage heavy, lots of homework and not really any extra credit

Kris is an incredible professor. Everyone says Calc2 is a difficult class, but his focused lectures, readily accessible notes and recordings, and generous grading combine to smooth out the wrinkles. He does assign quite a lot of homework, but in this class you're going to need the practice anyway, and it's mostly a completion grade.

Prior to taking Elementary Statistics with Professor Marcus, math was and still isn't my strong suite. Since then, I've learned to appreciate math more, especially because it differs from my previous math classes. Unlike anything I experienced before, his lectures were always straight to the point, and in general, wanted us to be successful.

Kris is great. He makes learning fun and easier to understand. There's no doubt that Stats is hard, but Kris makes it very fun and learnable. He's really one of the best teachers ACC has. His lectures are great, and he grades fairly. He cares more about what the numbers mean than if you got them 100% perfect. You'll do great with his guidance.

Kris makes math fun! He teaches in a way that is easy to understand, and you can tell he is knowledgable about his field. Incredibly kind and encouraging, and always available to answer questions. Speedy and easy grader-- he knows that math is hard and wants his students to succeed. Take stats from Kris, you won't regret it!

Professor Marcus is the best! The grade I received was on me, and not him, but the material is very challenging. I taught myself from the book and homework, and did not attend any online lectures or view any lecture videos. I recommend making time to view the online lectures and stay top of the material and don't get behind.

I enjoyed taking Prof. Marcus' online class! He's super funny and class was always entertaining! Homework was due every Friday and was pretty easy. We had a midterm and a final and as long as you do the practice exams you'll be fine! He's a very easy grader! He's available and willing to help outside of class as well! I would recommend this class!

Really enjoyed his class, math is not my strong suit but he made it feel approachable and the lectures were not boring despite being long. I felt that Professor Marcus cared that we learned and the SI was also helpful. He is a generous but fair grader, gives credit for effort and showing work.

It was my first college-level math so I was nervous, but couldn't have asked for a better professor. Engaging, understandable, wants to make sure you understand. Always gave detailed instructions when asked a question via email. Lots of time-consuming hw, but it isn't busy work. Very generous grader. If you put in the work, you'll get an A.

He is a kind of professor every professor should be. He not of those who gives review in exam but prepares you very well. Easy grader and you laugh and couldn't have a better professor than him for the hardest class of my life.

Amazing professor, Only grades homework and tests. You are able to have one piece of paper for study notes while taking your test. Lecture videos, which are not necessary. I would mainly study for the practice exam before I took the test. If I needed more help, I would look at lectures where he goes over practice exams.

AMAZING, kind, wonderful considerate human being. He managed to get someone like me who barely passed Precal and Cal 1, to get 100s on Exams...he's magic. Of course, it's a lot of work for the course but I couldn't recommend him as a professor more.

This professor's teaching methods benefited me as someone who has Dyslexia and ADHD. He gives a 5-minute break in the middle of the lecture to serve as a brain break. As long as you keep up with the homework and show up to class, then study for about 2 hours every day the week before an exam, you should pass with flying colors.

Lectures are recorded and saved. Gives so much partial credit it's kinda crazy, def saved me on the series test. If you genuinely want a nice Calc2 experience, PLS take this professor. Lots of HW, but it prepares you for test since no reviews. Older brother took him and I can understand now why he wanted me to take him so badly. Amazing professor.

4 Exam test worth like 88 percent, math homework 12 percent. Stay on top of assignments, first week is fairly easy but as it progresses it does get harder. You'll start with the simple linear equations and then by the end know how to Evaluate Finite and Infinite Geometric Series. Spend 1-2 hours a day practicing potential exam problems.

I had to withdraw late due to a family tragedy, but Prof. Marcus is the kind of professor students remember years later. HW was due on Thursdays, with the lowest grade dropped. He even said that if 3 test scores were strong, he'd average those instead. I felt awful leaving his class, especially given how much redemption he offers.

Professor Marcus is awesome! I took him for pre-cal, and I hate pre-cal, but he is great at teaching it and isn't a boring professor, he makes lectures fun and now and then he brings out his guitar and sings for us lol, but do be prepared for homework every week! But you will pass his class, promise you that!

He offers videos and notes of the full lectures if you miss class or prefer to work from home. You can pass! It's just a lot of material that is covered. Keep up with the homework and study!

Professor Marcus was by far the best math professor I ever had. He was very understanding and extremely lenient when it came to grading homework, though he assigned quite a few problems. He posted all his lectures as videos with notes and went through detailed problems in class that were relevant to the homework and tests. Take his class!!!

Normally, I really dislike math. I chose to do statistics since it was the part of math I understood best. Professor Marcus made statistics understandable and he was always willing to help! He made sure you understood how the formulas applied to real life! I do not think I would have done as well in statistics had I not had him as my teacher.

Best math teacher I've ever had. He makes the longgg lectures feel shorter. Be ready to hear his jokes and short anecdotes. There's LOTS of hw but its just to prepare you for the tests. If u want to pass the exams I recommend re-doing a few of the hw assignments and MEMORIZE the formulas for each unit. Great professor, wish he taught Calculus 1 🥲

One of the best Math professors out there! He explains the topics so well, plus the lectures are recorded, so you can watch them later if you can't make it to the meetings. He makes the class super enjoyable through jokes and connects textbook problems to real-life situations. Just make sure to go over the notes, videos, and homework before exams.

Professor Marcus is a brilliant math instructor who makes you love the subject by making it simply detailed and making the concept easy. the exams are fair and based on both home works and stuffs he goes through , he grades fairly and if you understand the concept , then there is no way you fail this class. I would definitely take him again.

Coming from someone who isn't that good in math, I believe this professor is the best professor I've ever encountered. He makes everything so easy to learn and breaks everything down step-by-step for you. Do the study guides and you will pass!

This professor is amazing. If you take a non-lecture course, he still provides a live zoom meeting and records the lecture for later viewing. I would recommend this professor always!

A lot of homework so be prepared and it felt like tests were like every week. But very helpful with office hours and replied to emails frequently but takes a while to get graded stuff back.

Professor Marcus is an outstanding statistics teacher! He made the lectures entertaining and engaging. He made a dry math class fun and relatable. He was present and caring in all the office hours, and he really wants to see his students succeed. I would recommend this professor a thousand times!
