Absolutely Horrible T.A. If in Sept you realize you're in her tutorial.. get out as quck as possible. Not Clear, Not Intelligent, = a complete was of a year, and your money

I've been at york 4 years, and seen my share of bad profs.. but she quite simply is unfit to teach in any educational institution on this planet.. what a terrible terrible choice... york should be ashamed.. (I'm not a disgruntled student who got a bad mark.. she was just that bad!!!!!!)

she is horrible! boring as hell. has difficulty even trying to explain what she is talking about. do NOT bother taking this course, you'll definitely regret it. lectures are horrible and hard to understand -- and she doesn't do a good job trying to explain it better either

SO BORING!!!!! She drags on and on and says the same thing over and over again. There is never any real point to her lecture. No matter how hard I try, I can never find anything worth writing down in her lecture.I have never fallen aslep so many times in one class!

She is THE MOST borin Proff ever. She had no idea about anything. She always had to ask Peter(he was the other Prof for the course). Every time she tought ppl hated stayin in class. If you don't have to take this course DON'T. SHE MADE IT BORING and the most DRAGGED on thing ever! TERRIBLE PROF

Even if you try to pay attention to Kry's lectures it is impossible! She loses her tarin of thought constantly, never knows what she is talking about, is very monotone and won't finish her main points or arguments. Waste of time and a HORRIBLE prof!

you might as well teach the class yourself.. b/c she's a complete waste of space (and I'm not disgruntled.. i got a good mark.. she's just THAT bad!!!)

Worst prof. ever :S i'm so glad Peter was there but still to have her teach was jstu horrible ... i learned absolutely NOTHING!! i just sat there and got bored outta my mind :| DON'T TAKE THIS COURSE IF U DON'T HAVE TO *TRUST ME*

BE AFRAID... BE VERY AFRAID!! She was my worst teacher in my first year. Not only is she confusing as hell but she also can't clarify things when you ask her to. I suggest that you only take this impossible class if you'll die without it. Otherwise it's not worth it.

OH MY GOD!!! I had Verral last year and WOW did she suck! I have never been to so many lectures and learned NOTHING!! When we came back from christmas break she welcomed us back by reading of a sheet of paper "I hope you had a good holiday"...does that sound too hard to memorize!! Never take a course of ehrs agian!!!

OMG where to start-she is unclear, inconsistent, not helpful, does not know how to explain things properly, has pointless key term boxes on powerpoint that are a waste of time, puts up usless pictures to try and explain points which further confuses ppl, takes long pauses when she talks,unfair exams, overall HORRIBLE she needs to change or retire!

I'm sorry, but she just doesn't know how to teach! rather then explaining terms she asks you what they mean and then wehn the whole class stares at her blankly for 5 minutes she moves onto the next one without explaining it. I have only had two classes so far with her and I am already at my witts end!

Just to get an idea of how incompetent this prof is; this was her definition of "pop culture"....."Popular culture, is culture that is popular" TERRIBLY unorganized, cannot lecture whatsoever. Overall this class is a waste of money. Readings are rediculous (especially when they arent even covered in lecture, so you waste time reading them.

can you say too-much-acid-in-the-sixties? she's off the wall, makes no sense, expects us to understand some grand design she's laid out for the course but can't explain what it is to save her life. i'm at the end and i have no idea what i've learned. whatever i have learned though, won't be on the exam; just random concepts we haven't covered.

Online course; the amount of paperwork is ridiculous - every reading requires a written summary and analysis, on top of 250 pg/wk reading. Exams are too abstract and confusing. She does not articulate herself clearly and the expectations are too high given the time constraints. A shame considering the potential. Avoid this prof.

She forgot that she had received my essay...and gave me 0% for the it. Now I have to file a petition...horrible experience

awful-disorganized, slure up words, usaes questions to answer questions, states a statement without reasons given, just terrible despite that she tries to help :(

This class was just a disaster. Disorganized, pauses too much, makes a big deal about people talking or incorrect use of laptop - just pure stupidness, she jumps from one point to another WITHOUT CONNECTION. very vague study tips or outlines = HARD exam. the only reason i got a B was due to my T.A MIKE K. Worst and hardest class EVER. DO NOT TAKE!!

She is HORRIBLE! The way she talks would just make you go to sleep! She cannot explain any difficult ideas to you at all! She really needs to go to school and study how to communicate! AND, you can't share ideas or work on any assignments with anyone in the class...it's considered as academic dishonesty! She's is awful!

If you get her drop the course and run! She doesn't know anything or how to explain anything and she is very VERY unclear. When you ask her to clarify something she gets angry. So she doesn't know anything but she expects you to know everything. GO TO SOMEONE ELSES TUTORIAL. Consider yourself warned of her annoyingness.

She's horrible, unorganized, doesnt know what shes saying, will jump from one topic to another OR will try to relate irrelevent material into the course (like some pictures of friends). Overall, dont take the course with her.

I'm a straight A/A+ student, and this is the only prof in my 4 yrs that I've absolutely hated. She's unclear, UNORGANIZED, unhelpful & rude. She gave us over over 8 assignments that required so much work, yet they were only worth 15% or less (4 were worth only 5%). Lectures were pointless & boring, as were assignments & readings. Avoid this prof!

she loves to hear herself talk, and hates to hear other people's opinions. to get a good mark you must kiss her ass, agree with everything she says, show no signs of individuality or originality in thought.she is a blatant favoritist,a boring lecturer,& an awful TA. 4 years of post secondary and this was the 1st (& only) non A I received. good luck

This was the worst class I have ever taken at York. She is so wrapped up in her own head that she cannot accept anyone else's ideas or opinions. The course material is pointless as is every single thing she has us do. Avoid at all costs.

i have NEVER been so frustrated with a course! I have to take this course in order to get into the childrens studies program so dropping it is not an option. krys is unorganized, rude, very unclear and spends half of the lecture talking about last weeks material and what she is going to talk about this week. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE UNLESS NEEDED!!!

I have never had such an unorganized prof in my life, nor have I ever been so angry with a course. The assignments assigned are so unbelievably stupid and unorganized. She thinks she is doing us a blessing by giving us assignments that are "out of the box" however, she has no clue what she is doing. It is quite clear this course is very unorganized

She makes me want to quit Uni all together. The course description & what she actually teaches is so far off. This course is more on the American revolution. Do not take this course unless mandatory. If someone else was teaching it, I'm sure it would be benefitial. She is an awful prof Waste of money, time, and nerves. Trust me, run the other way.

Takes the last 10 minutes of class to explain a major assignment ...useless

I was so excited for "writing by children and youth" and she completely changed the course (we are not reading any writing by children or youth!) she is by far the most unorganized professor and all I've heard is negative things, I don't understand why nobody has checked up on her. Completely unprepared for class - avoid at all costs!

This is one of the few Professors I looked up here and I assumed it was mostly hyperbole. It is not. She did not show up for the first class. Expected us to read an entire journal in one week. Did not mark two major projects. Did not listen to respectful criticism. Easy marker, good academic, great guests. I left each class fuming.

Terrible. Hate this class. Dislike her ways of teaching, and her help. Does not help, and cannot teach...at all. honest opinion.

worst teacher ever, 1/3 of the class dropped because no one ever knew what was going on. All previous comments about lack of organization and rudeness are correct. She took someone's history game and tried to tie it in as a game relevant to children... no one saw the connection... she treats everyone as if they are still in elementary school.

Worst professor I've ever had. Very unclear and does not know answers to her own readings. Is very rude. Completely cuts off her students if they don't agree with what she's saying. Her lectures are entirely pointless. Her readings are entirely pointless. Her course is also pointless and SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE'S TEACHING. She's completely lost.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT TAKE HUMA 1970B. I was warned and didn't listen, thinking it was no problem but it was my BIGGEST regret of 1st yr. The course description was deceiving and had nothing to do with childhood AT ALL. Krys is disorganized, isn't helpful at all when you go to her for help and she expects you to know and do everything yourself.

She's very disorganized and so is the course website on Moodle. Understanding Children and Youth was the name of the course, but we're learning about the american revolution, slavery, and things that have nothing to do with children and youth .

Horrible class she is very rude disorganized and has no intention to help her students in succeeding. Shes really in to the pointless Game humiliates people York loses its reputation because of people like her.

She is so eccentric and acts a little nutty sometimes. She doesn't know how to properly use a power point or moodle and rambles on about things. She is not that good at clarifying things and has no concept of time or work load.

She is very condescending and does not do the greatest job at explaining readings or assignments preferring the "everything will make sense at the end of the semester" approach but sometimes that is too late. She tests students on the most trivial questions that nobody would ever remember the answers to. Would never take this course ever again.

I really wanted to like this course, as abstract as it seemed, I went into it with an open mind. Unfortunately, the online course was very hard to follow at times. Grades are given back extremely late to the point where you have submitted 3-4 things and have no idea where you stand. She has a lot of knowledge to offer but needs to improve teaching.

This prof gives way too many assignments and readings. I think she thinks it is the only class you are taking. Be aware of weekly assignments and bi weekly collages, on top of assignments. She also takes forever to hand your grades assignments back as well. She is also VERY unorganized.

Horrible teaching style. She grades incorrectly based on her lack of proper teaching. Her rubrics do not align with her words and assignment requirement. YOU WILL PASS THIS COURSE WITHA HORRIBLE MARK.

Class was made needlessly difficult by the prof's ineptitude and inability to use eClass. You shouldn't have to struggle so much just to find things on the page but the prof seems to have no idea what they're doing and is extremely disorganized. Grades are returned late. What's the point of taking an online class if your instructor can't teach one?

A professor teaching an online course should know how to teach an online course. This one does not. The course was incredibly disorganized and confusing. It made no sense. Prof can barely seem to master email much less anything else online. This prof should not be allowed to teach this kind of course.

I don't know how to describe how she teaches, it's definitely DIFFERENT, and not helpful to students. Every week you have group participation workshops. This also includes a write-up by the end of every class. Classes were NOT engaging at all & atmosphere was depressing. lot of readings, picky grader. Not easy to succeed in this class whatsoever.

Terrible. Easy but you won't learn anything. Nonsensical course.

The prof herself isn't bad, it's the amount of work she makes you do. How am I supposed to write an essay where THIRTY (30) sources are mandatory. Not only is the workload heavy, she also expects you to read minimum 50 pages of course content every week, plus make notes on all of the readings, plus do quizzes on the readings?? would NOT recommend.

She's okay, but like she responds snappy when you ask a question, she's rude at times. Her lectures are soo boring, no one pays attention. Like the work isnt hard its just boring, and you read a lot. Also you have to do a massive assignment thats so unnecessary and like 30 sources. I don't recommend you def have to work and read for the grade.
