He is a superb professor! I would and probably will take other of his classes.
Exellet instructor. You'll always have fun in his class
2 hw's, 2 tests. best of each plus a final makes your grade. going to class is not needed, but makes understading the frigin book much better. students work out book work on board in class. has a heavy accent, took me a week to clearly understand him.
Sulewski is an extremely intelligent man and a good teacher. Students go to the board daily and work problems from the book while he wathces and offers guidance and correction. the cd-rom included with the book helped me a lot. interesting and fun class.
one of the best I've had at edcc.
Krys was an extremely well educated and helpful teacher. I wouldn't hesitate to take another class he offered, and encourage everyone else to do the same.
OK if you understand concepts - if you don't - well, hummmm
Great teacher! he is very hard and very fair. I took his PHIL 120 class twice. The first time i did poorly and got a poor grade. the second time I did great and got a great grade. I also took His PHIL 255 class that was incredibly hard but I worked hard and did well. He is honest and so is the grade
great teacher. has a heavy accent but you understand him quickly. very funny. has students do problems on board and helps them if they need it. ends up letting one or two students do most the work sometimes.
Was great to work with. Helped you understand it when you got lost with out making you feel like a waist of time.
No one really understood what we were meant to do in this class or when due dates for minor assignments were. There was really no clarity at all and asking him directly still did not help this. Having sought his help out a few weeks prior to turning my final paper in, I was surprised to have him basically have me rewrite it. Died for an A-
Fantastic teacher. Makes sure you get the help you need. Material is fairly easy to understand and it's fun to do problems on the board and show everyone up with your vast, complex knowledge. (Really, it's not that hard!)
Hard teacher, grades fairly though. Has great music taste.
Great guy, Funny as heck. The subject of logic is just a weird one though, pretty out there. he explained it well, but not crystal clear. Kind of rough on you though if you dont get it, and really rough if you dont come to class. I'd Recommend
ewwwwwwwwwwww worst class in the world
Great teacher, he knows his topic well and can explain it well to. Also very funny, watch what you say or you'll have it turned around on you in a heartbeat.

EXCELENT teacher. Ridiculously smart. PAy attention in class and take notes like crazy; you'll do fine.
Nice Teacher, Extra practise on Singing every morning for late comer. The singing part is harder then actual learning one, in my personal opinion.
Terrific teacher! Intense class, but so worth attending. Would have liked a bit more time in class (we had a lot of one on one conferences).
you will love to listen to this guy and his accent
Great professor. Keeps the class interesting. Great at lecturing... listen and take good notes and you should do great. He'll help you out with any questions you may have too. Tough grader but the class is worth it. You definitely have to earn your grade. Not a class for slackers

This teacher is not all that helpful. Does not explain the material thoroughly in a way that is understandable to the student. I recommend future students to rely heavily on the book and to do all the assigned chapter problems before attending class. Go to the Learning Center if needed.
Freaking AWESOME class. I think we talked about communists in Poland more than anything though. It was a tough class cuz we had to write a 20 pager, but it was worth it. If you are an intellectual person you will like this class. :) :) (And if you like Polish accents and listen to Genesis)
Very fun prof. His accent can be a little too heavy for ESL students to understand.

The class was very difficult for me the first few weeks. I felt lost most of the time, but I kept doing the work and kept with the material and ended up with a 3.9 for the class. This instructor takes things step by step in a very clear way. He will keep explaining until you understand. MAKE SURE and do the CD that comes with the book. Great class.
Sulewski is pretty tight. if you participate you will do fine.
The teacher is a cool guy he just has a different sense of humor. It was a fun class and not really too hard. You just have to be there on the days he goes over new material. He only has two tests and two homework assignments and takes the better of the two.The tests aren't hard at all, they are the same as the homework. I would recommend this clas
You have to really understand consepts to do good in this class. If your not a scientific person DO NOT TAKE THE CLASS!!! It will kill you!
Great professor! Explains things clearly. Very funny, too. Make sure to participate when problems are done on the board. Don't be late...unless you like singing or reciting poetry for the class :)
Chris wants to see you fail. Half of the class failed. Don't waste your time or money on a useless subject and uncaring teacher.
HE IS SO DAMN FINE! and the class is good too...w/e ;P
Great Instructor. Can come across as intimidating, but overall just really cool. You need to come to class and you must know how to take good notes. You need to be a self-starter and disciplined to do well.
Awesomely laid back and calm. This guy almost seems like he was in the military before. He's Polish, if that means anything to you, so you may have a bit of trouble understanding him at times. Girls (and some gay guys) find him strangely alluring if that is something you are looking for. Overall, a tough teacher, but makes you feel accomplished
Make sure you keep good lecture notes!
Serious, knows what he's talking about.
Sulewski is a great teacher. He has a Polish accent, but it's not too difficult to understand him. He's very intelligent and knows his material well. He also is a humorous guy! Word of advice: DO NOT COME IN LATE! Hehe. He can be intimidating, but he's really a nice guy and cares about his students. He has is attractive in that manly man way. ;)
I like the guy, but I don't like the way he teaches. I like the fact that he's polish- there is one polish girl at Edcc that is extremely hot and extremely nice. Anyways if you are a good student you'll be fine.
He is a fantastic teacher. I really enjoyed the class.
Great professor, probably my favorite at the school. He's a rather classical teacher, he doesn't tolerate inattentivness. Not a lot of time is required out of class, just keep on top of any reading and stay focused in class. He knows his philosophy, so go to him with any of your questions.
Fantastic teacher who knows the material extremely well. You need to stay up to date in the class or else you will fall behind quickly. Tough class but teacher makes it better
He is a well educated teacher who is a huge help in understanding logic concepts, show up in class and pay attention and you'll get more from Kris than you would the book. Study material is difficult so stay on top of it!
Attendance is paramount in this class. I skipped a couple times and it almost did me in. He CAN be intimidating but he's humorous at heart. Logic sucks but he's a good guy and a good teacher.
He has a pretty thick accent that takes a day or two to fully penetrate. He knows his stuff and will work with you. Do NOT skip class or the reading.
One of the best teachers I've come across at EDCC. Very entertaining and very helpful. Stay on top of your reading and don't be afraid to ask questions. It helps you and everyone else, trust me.
my favorite teacher of all time, offically. I loved Krys. He was really entertaining and funny, but not mean at all (he may seem intimidating.) I love his grading scale. And, if you impress him on the final he is flexible and will help you out. YOU MUST GO TO EVERY CLASS AND KEEP UP. It's hard material, TRUST. But it's rewarding once you get it!
don't waste ur money to buy the book because the exams are based on his lectures in class. he's a cool professor, doesn't care much whether u're sleeping or actually listening. If u need help, come to him, u surely get help.
A true professor. Philosophy is a love of knowledge, and this man truly does love knowledge. He is a master of his subject and makes his students elevate themselves to a high standard. His classes are not easy, but if you show up to every class and try hard, it goes a long way. A truly remarkable experience for serious students.
LOVED this class! I was not interested in Logic at all, but found it incredibly useful. Just keep up on daily homework, and go up to the board as much as possible! Plus, nice eye candy.
Not for lazy students. His pace is STRENUOUS. You MUST take copious notes. Recommend recording his lectures. Is very willing to help outside of class. Very obviously enjoys his work. Hard but rewarding. Not for the faint of heart.
You will be attracted to him and he gets mad at you if hint this. I understood his accent 90% of the time. Hes my fav teacher. Hes the toughest, you only need your notes to study-no book. Krys's mental prowess is impressive, he has the coolest mind and soul i have met in my life thus far.I didnt want class to be over. You will learn so much from him
Awesome class, he's ridiculously smart and he explains everything very well. I thought the class was difficult at first but by the end it was the easiest thing ever. Almost zero homework, but if you don't participate in class he'll pick on you until you do. Also, really funny and SUPER HOT! :D
Well krys is not easy and can come across as a hard head but that is not the real krys he just wants people to think he is a tuff guy! He is so sexy so even if you dont pass you can dream about him!!!
Well krys is not easy and can come across as a hard head but that is not the real krys he just wants people to think he is a tuff guy! He is so alluring so even if you dont pass you can dream about him!!!
Great Prof! He is hard, but if you need help ask him and he will gladly help you. A great guy and very fair with grades. If you put in the work, you will get a good grade.
He would be a good teacher if you really enjoy philosophy. Before I took the class, I thought I would be really interested, but turns out I was not. The tests he gives are HARD. And there is no homework but you have to take really good notes to do well on the tests.
Be careful if your a pretty girl. He only teaches two classes, philosophy and logic. No farting in class. Hes intelligent and uses his accent as an excuse. Hes an omnipresent being. Intelligence and evil are scary as hell, especially when its your teacher. Good luck.
He is a really hard teacher. His tests are ridiculously hard and it is impossible to pass. Lots of the people from the class failed the class and I have literally seen people walk out of the class room crying after a test. You have 2 take home assign. and 2 in class tests when only one of them counts, but again it is really hard to pass! Good Luck!
Logic is made extremely easy to understand with Krys; no homework, and he takes the best assignment and best test. Final was 15mins long, and very easy. If you pay attention, and come to board often, you will do well.
It's definitely a difficult class, I got especially lost for the last half of the quarter, but if you just focus on perfecting what you know, you'll do fine. He gives two tests and two assignments, but only counts one, the one that you do the best on, only two, but only one counts, and then the final, which was atually quite easy. Willing to help.
Great instructor and smart as hell. Anyone who said otherwise about his 106 class didn't attend the lectures. One of the few classes I have had that was both very easy and very informative. He takes the best test score and the best HW score. The final is and easy 1 on 1 interview style thing. Just don't be late or he'll make you sing.
The final cannot really evaluate students' understanding of the whole class, and the final is worth a third of the total points.
This class is easy to follow.
Prof. Sulewski is a very highly intelligent and gifted professor and has a real gift for what he teaches. Krys, as he allows students to call him, is very open minded and friendly, sometimes funny. Attendance isn't mandatory (though he might be annoyed if you don't show up). As a course, Phil 106 IS HARD, but at least with a great teacher.
took teachers logic class too, same format. tough teacher
I originally took this class as a requirement for my degree and left with a surprising love of logic. Krys is an awesome prof, but you need to ensure you attend the lectures and participate in class often or you will get lost. Fair grader, blisteringly intelligent, and more than willing to help if you ask.
Intro to logic was great. Attending everyday isn't necessary although he does take roll. On most days he just says "Alright lets do the practice problems where we left of yesterday" or introduce something new before doing that. To ace this class, you will need to memorize 18 rules which resemble algebraic rules. Not too hard, makes you feel smart:)
Great sense of humor and very patient! Not the most inventive at explaining things but mostly clear. Respectful of students. No graded HW, attendance not mandatory - ez ez class as far as that goes. Class moved too fast tho and downfall is w/ only 3 graded assignments u quite literally have to do perfect on everything to get a decent grade.
He is an awesome teacher and an awesome guy. His logic class is very slow paced. It's an easy 4.0 as long as you understand the material well enough. Most of the class is spent going over examples so it's really drilled into your head by the time it gets to homework or tests. Also very easygoing; his class feels more like hanging out than working.
Tough class, but manageable if you attend (and do not be late)! Krys definitely knows his stuff and is willing to help. In my opinion the material is a little boring, but at least he makes class enjoyable.
He was not a good teacher at all! Out of all the classes iv'e taken at Edmonds he was by far the WORST! Don't take his class if you aren't a good test taker since your grade revolves around that! he gives no homework. HORRIBLE TEACHER!!!
AWESOME TEACHER!!! If you like to learn new things and think, this is a great class. There seems to be a lot of people complaining about how hard the class is but it is philosophy, did anyone truly come expecting it to be simple? I don't understand that statement :)This teacher is extremely helpful and informative, I would take the class twice :)
I honestly learned nothing from taking this class. He had no notes, all he did was talk and walk around. Those two days we had study sessions he would not even stay to answer questions. Was not helpful at all
There are three grades for this course. The first and second are open-book. The third is a VERBAL final! You sign up for your own time slot and he asks you questions that you either write down (and he grades right then) or answer orally. Nerve-wracking! However, if you come to class and stay on top of the lessons you should pass.
Intro to Logic was probably the most nerve wracking class I've taken, but it was very interesting. I was afraid I was going to fail the class all throughout the quarter, but I ended up with an A. If you do the work and pay attention in class, Kris will help you out. I really liked him and this class and would recommend it.
Kris is an excellent prof. No graded homework, however, I highly suggest attending every day and taking part in exercises. It will reflect in your grade, to compensate for zero homework. He's very clear and concise, and the class is a friendly atmosphere. (for extra course study guides, Mark Thorsby is helpful in further explaining the textbook)
Attendance and homework assignments are not graded but you REALLY should go every day. Take notes keep up with the class participate in writing problems on the board ask questions if you''re confused most people probably are and seriously do the homework. Krys is a wonderful teacher and he will help you if you ask Your success is up to you.
Two main tests with a final at the end. One test score is dropped for the better grade so your grade comes down to just an average of the one test and the final. Outlines are given and all questions on the tests (avg is about 16 questions, you only have to answer about 4) are taken from the outlines. Notes allowed on tests.
Generally a great professor, can be unclear at times. But always open for questions. Suggests doing board work during class hours, and try not to miss a class.
He's a very relaxed teacher, but before signing up for this class, understand that attendance is dire to the passing of this class. Take lots of notes, perhaps voice record, but all relevant information is covered in class.
He does a lot of class participation by the board. He helps you learn by calling you out to the board to do problems in front of the class. Passioned and very willing to help if you struggle. It helps to have a study group to study with. Tests are not that hard and not long at all. He has a thick accent which makes him a lot funnier.
Lectures left me with a great understanding of the material but almost no idea how to actually pass the tests, somehow. Test scoring rubric is about as arbitrary as the ever-changing nature of reality - came out of a test feeling like I did A- work but got a C+ for it, and your entire grade hinges on three of these tests. Good luck.
He is a great professor! I enjoyed his class and his style of teaching. You get to practice a lot of problems in class. Tests aren't hard and are not long. The final is a two part test, written and oral. He is always happy to help and makes the class fun! Attendance is not mandatory but if you're late you will have to a in front of everyone.
Krzysztof encourages intellectual debate, so speak up! And he doesn't really ever let on his true personal views, even if you think he has, b/c next week he'll bring up a contrasting point from a new philosopher. The class is great fun and easy--the memorization for quizzes and tests is the hard part, but don't sweat it, because he's chill.
It is hard to great a high grade on final exam. Not much homework and tests. It is an interesting class.
Lectures don't follow the book; sometimes even seem to contradict information from outside sources. He is quite an annoying person to listen to too.
I took Phil 120 with Krzysztof and unfortunately, I didn't pass it. I was excited to take his class at first because he mentioned that there wouldn't be daily homework or participation points so I felt like it was going to be easy but then I realized that if there such things had existed, they could've helped me with understanding how logic works.
This was maybe the most boring class I took. You get no homework or quizzes to test your understanding. He just talks the whole time then, your given a midterm and a final. Although he was very kind & will help you, I would not recommend this class.
He is terrible because his accent is so strong that I could not understand any of his instructions. It makes it very difficult to succeed in the class. When you ask him to repeat what he said because you cant understand him he gets an attitude, but he is the one who needs some English pronunciation lessons. The final test is in a weird format.
No homework and only 2 tests. He doesn't use powerpoints or anything. He talks the entire time, which would be fine but he talks very old English, meaning he uses a lot of "big words." I would not recommend this professor for ESL students. Other than that, if you take notes during class, you'll pass no problem.
I took Phil 101 last year and I was an international student. For this class, you REALLY need to be a good note-taker and listener since he speaks very fast and have an accent. Written exams are based on your own notes that you took in class (He doesn't use presentations or provide notes, so take notes!) and you have an oral final exam. Good luck!
Take good notes and show up to class and you'll do fine!
The subject is tough, he lectures everything, and says the book was un-needed, mostly because he dosen't use it (he knows this stuff backwards and forwards). The classroom is run in a way that feels like you should learn everything, but if you miss a day or are confused things can get a lot worse for you. 3 tests total, 2 written and 1 verbal.
He's a pretty cool professor. He'll throw some shade your way if you say something dumb. He knows Philosophy inside out, but sometimes that transfer of knowledge gets stuck in the air during his teachings. Though when I took copious notes, it really helped my understanding.
One very important note before taking this class: Your listening and note taking skill has to be A++. It is because the class does not use any book or any slides. He will NOT REPEAT his story in class, and will continue his story unless someone have a question. Basically it is just a non-stop storytelling class.
Timed quizzes weekly and time exams for an online class. You have to read the book and then regurgitate history facts.
Worst online class ever with very little direction or interaction with instructor. This instructor was worthless
I took his online PHIL 120. 1 discussion post (and 1 reply to a classmate) with 1 quiz per week, on the reading material. Everything was straight from the book. No extra essays or online lectures, but he does post a bunch of resources you can use for extra studying. All tests and quizzes are multiple choice. An easy A for proactive students.
1 discussion board and 1 quiz per week. 2 exams and 1 final. You can easily google the questions and find online practice quizzes (90% of the questions there are used in the exams) provided by the publisher of the textbook. I only read about 30% of each chapter and passed the class with a 4.0. He also drops the lowest quiz and hw score.
Very structured class, every week there is a discussion and a quiz. I highly recommend that you purchase the book and utilize all of your resources because this is a very individual class. The professor didn't do much teaching on the material so if you take this class, be prepared to teach yourself a lot of the material! Try hard, and you will pass
Took this online course and it is easy. 1 discussion weekly 1 reply to student, quiz, weekly, 2 tests 1 final. He drops lowest quiz and test score. Pretty independent class, just do the weekly readings and you'll be fine. He provides power point slides if you need extra help. Chill teacher
This was a fairly easy class. Discussions and quiz weekly, with three tests over the quarter. The tests were not too hard either, as long as you read the textbook you'll be okay. Overall a chill and easy class, would recommend.
This was an easy class. Most of the answers can be found online. The lowest test and quiz will be dropped. Tip for the final exam: Review the previous quizzes. Have them up in a separate window. Read the questions. No extra credit for this class and when taking the test the questions display one at a time. Hard to go back and make a correction.
This class is on your own, you read multiple chapters during the week with a discussion and response required. Every Friday he has a quiz on what was read, the questions are not easy and you have to retain a lot of knowledge and specific verbiage. The only time I heard from the professor was if I scored high on a quiz, he would email "good job".
Quiz/test questions are very specific, requiring you to know the wording of an exact line from the textbook at times. You read the entire book, essentially front to back. Tests are 50% of your grade. No direction from this prof, and no interaction other than a "good job" in your inbox after tests...
This was the easiest course I've ever taken. Every week was just one discussion board and a quiz. He drops your lowest quiz and discussion board grade as well as a test (only 2 throughout quarter). He seemed to grade discussion posts on participation and not content. Quizzes, test and final answers were all found using Google. Very easy A.
Doesnt really interact. Very uninvolved. Assigns a chapter or two per week to read, a question for the discussion forum, and a quiz. Doesnt present any ideas to the class or hold any dialogue with students, which seems key to the course. Test questions are frequently just hyperspecific lines from textbook which don't demonstrate comprehension.
Limit interaction is understandable in an online class, but I don't think the instructor put that much effort into the class material. While philosophy is supposed to be thought-provoking and encourage critical thinking, I see none of these qualities in this course. Discussions questions are boring as they lend toward summarizing what you've read.
Great class. I have taken several of his classes. His classes are very straightforward. Read/view modules and take quiz/complete assignments. If you are looking for a professor with a very hands on teaching method, he may not be for you. But if you like a straightforward prof, with clear instructions who supports independence, he is for you. :-)
Surprisingly easy class, only a discussion post and a quiz each week. No essays, no research papers which I loved.
The quality education you will receive from him is unusual at a community college.
