Dr. Lee is brilliant. His style is relaxed, funny and very entertaining. But beware, each story has an equation attached. You will learn and laugh a lot. A great way to learn Math. His slogans: "Math is beautiful" and "Math is Art."

But if you do not have any problems bout that, the you will be fine. 3 tests drop one,final must take. He gives review before the test which is reaaally help..! Study the reviews and remember every steps!

he is really funny when he cracks jokes (which he do most of the time). 3 tests, drop 1, but if your final (must take) is better than any of your 2 tests, you can replace the marks with your final's. so in overall just take one test score, final score, you'll do fine!

Prof.Lee is the hilarious and i love the way he intregrates jokes into his teaching. I took him in summer'06 and I thought the 3 hrs lecture was really too short.. cos he went fairly quick, yet clear in his explanation. His tests aren't that hard, so long you study his lectures well and do the homework. Oh, he's picky bout attendance too!

This guy has a witty way of teaching the class with his I.Q. of 180 1/4 and his usage of 31% of the brain. "Why? Because I know everything." How did I know the = sign is parallel? Dr. Lee's class. Dr. Lee is the best math professor that i've ever had in my entire life. I wanted to learn, so I made questions and he answered them clearly. Also, he is very patient and funny to teach. You can see that he knows the material. Math became a piece of cake to me - thanks to Dr. Lee.

I hated Math before but I like Math since taking it with Dr. Lee. He makes Math fun and he breaks everythig down so simply and clearly. Drops lowest test, replaces second lowest test with Final if final is better. He gives you the problems on the test beforehand. Good times!

Great teacher! Dr Lee keeps the class interesting with his stories. Attendance is a must, he moves through topics pretty quickly! You must show all your work on exams, no multiple choice.

I belive that Dr.Lee is one of the best teachers in SMC.He tells u stories and makes jokes to keep the students interested and most of the times it works.When students don't understand the subject, he will do everything that he can in order to assist them(and that's a good quality in a taecher).I would highly recomend this teacher.

Math scares me and I've always been terrible at it, but with Prof. Lee's instruction I actually started to grasp the formulas. Prof. Lee is a wonderful, caring instructor. Pay attention in class. Sit near the front so that you can take good notes and do the homework. It's worth an extra 10%, which can make all the difference in your final grade.

Professor Lee is a super great guy. I don't really like math but he makes the class really fun to attend. Never miss a class and NEVER EVER talk on your cellphone or with classmates during the class. He finds it disrespectful. Tests are a clone of review session. Totally recommend for those who are not math wizards.

The guys who criticised him are losers. He is really good at teaching. When I was a student in Japan, I really hated Math, but he changed my idea compleately. Come every class, and sit at the first row because his wrighting is sloppy.

Lee may not be crystal clear when he teaches.....but his methods for solving the problems are great. not to forget his explanations of where YOU mess up and why are very helpful.If you have any questions on the subject just ask him right then and there he'll explain it very well!!!

He is pretty easy, and reviews homework everyday. He usually makes mistakes when grading tests, so make sure you double check your grade. Everything is easy except the FINAL :-( Otherwise, he is TOTALLY AMAZING!!

I've taken Lee for several courses now and the way to take his class and get an A is as follows:1)Sit in the front row- his writing is very small 2)DO NOT miss his review before each test- they're copies of each other. Thats it. Don't worry about his accent, after a day- at most two, you'll get used to it and understand him just fine. Sweet man.

Hard for me to jugde easieness because I am a math nerd...but if you go to class and do your homework, there is no reason not to get a good grade. He is funny. But make sure you LABEL EVERYTHING, he does deduct points for it. And his handwritting is horible, so fallow along with his. Anyone with a bad comment probably was a screw off in his class..

Dr Lee is the most straightforward and funniest prof ever! He keeps class fun with his jokes in class like "My wife's calling" when he hears cellphone or "I know everything" when doing a problem. I rec taking him. He has 3 easy exams drop 1. Study the REVIEW he gives. His final is KILLER though so study very hard ESPECIALLY chap 7 and A. good luck!

This is the best math teacher. He keeps things interesting and explains everything quite clearly. Accent is no problem and he can be funny as heck! Just study and do all the homework and you'll pass the class. His tests are easy. Just study and show to class.

The easiest teacher ever! Attendance is not mandatory, just do the homework and test are easy. He reviews each time before a test, there's 4 test and he drops the lowest one. He is funny and very understandable.I would highly recommend this class very easy A.

Professor Lee's writing and speaking may be hard to follow, and he always tries to lighten the atmoshphere in class with his jokes. His tests are fairly easy. It's a easy A/B class as long as you study the concepts. Overall, he's a good professor :)

DO NOT pay attention to all of the bad ratings. He has an accent, but you can still understand him perfectly. Prof Lee is extremely easy! He explains the material over and over and in different ways until you understand. He drops the lowest exam score (1 of 3), and replaces one test score with the grade on your final if this one's higher. Take him!

His accent and writing can be confusing. His jokes get repetitive. He gets annoyed if you talk during class. His method of turning in homework can become confusing. He's an easy professor, just he's nit picky when grading things, so make sure you don't make tiny mistakes to lose points.

After 15 years not taking math I got an A in his class. Great professor full of energy & funny great jokes really knows what he is doing. His lectures are very clear and he drops the lowest test. when he gives a review before the test do not miss that because his reviews are very helpful to study before the test. He isn't hard unless you are a lazy student and don't do any homework but over all his a funny,and good teacher.

One word sums this guy up: awesome! This was the second time I took this course, and after not taking math for over 3 years, I must say I was so excited for class. Dr.Lee is funny, yes he uses the same jokes, but he does it to keep the class attention and break up the lecture. Show up, do your hw and pay attention and u will get a guaranteed A!

I love professor Lee. Take him if you can. His accent is not thick and you can easily understand him. Weekly homework helps you to understand the material. 3 tests, lowest one get dropped, one final. Even though Professor Lee is a tough grader, I would love to take him again. At least you will learn in his class and that's what you should. He assigns weekly homework that he grades. He's funny and lectures are entertaining. Very smart, and accent isn't that bad at all.

I took Dr. Lee for math 20 and 26 and he is amazing. He has been teaching for a very long time so he knows what he is doing. He drops the lowest test score and he gives study guides for every exam that are identical to the exams. Dr. Lee is a good professor, don't be lazy and you will pass.

Freshman year, I enrolled in Math21 with Prof. Lee & he was great. He is a thorough grader, but makes it clear what he expects. He gives detailed study guides before each test, that are almost identical to the exam itself. He also drops your lowest test score. Just do all your homework, come to class, & you should be fine! Don't stress! Take him!

Prof. Lee is a great professor esp. for first year students. He's Chinese and has a thick accent but you can still understand him. Just show up to class, take notes, and do all your homework. He tells you what he expects so there's no surprises. Gives good study guides and answers all your ?s. He also has quite the sense of humor. Take him!

I love this professor, had him for two semesters in a row. There are four tests, drop the lowest, and a cumulative final at the end of the year whose score can then replace the lowest of the new group of three. He gives a lot of homework (graded) but only so you understand the material. He is very clear at explaining difficult concepts.

Helps lay groundwork for the following years of math. Explains difficult concepts well and stays after class to make sure you understand the material. At the end of spring sem made more mistakes than fall (had him 2 sem). PLEASE LAUGH AT HIS JOKES. He will repeat them all semester but when the class laughs hes in a better mood and teaches better.

A great man. He teaches directly from the book so its impossible to get lost even with his heavy Chinese accent. He is a jokester and definitely makes it a fun class by making jokes and connecting it to his lecture. Drops lowest test grade. IF you get a better grade on your final than on a test, you can change the grade of that test to that grade.

Took Professor Lee for my first college level math class in 2013. He is great at explaining concepts and is more than happy to help you and answer questions. Now that I've had other math professors, I have an even greater appreciation for Prof. Lee. Would recommend taking his class.

He occasionally goes on weird tangents un-related to math, but . Grade is almost completely based on 3 test scores and final. Runs 5-10 minutes over class sometimes. If you act respectfully and pay attention/do the work, you'll do well. He's great. I don't love math, but I enjoyed taking his class.

He's serious about dropping you if you don't come. Super easy class. Gives out hw based on the lecture. Gives a study guide for the test. Test turns out to be exactly the same. There's 16 arranged hours you have to do or you lose 5% of your grade. I recommend. Goes overtime the days he's reviewing for a test. BE AWARE ITS A NONTRANSFERABLE COURSE
