Besides the slight lack of personality, his lecture and tests are pretty straightforward. I think sometimes he doesnt really want to be there, you can tell he's bored with his job. Otherwise one of the better Chem profs.

He is very dull, but he's clear. I've heard horror stories about other chemistry teachers, and there's none to tell about him. As long as you don't touch his dry erase markers. I left understanding Chemistry a lot better than when I went in there. And with a good grade also.

He's straight forward, and writes good, clear notes on the board. Also, the required lecture books that he wrote have the entire outline of his lectures and include the reviews you need to ace his tests. He makes learning chemistry more simple, and you definitely walk out of that class with more knowledge. He can be pretty boring though sometimes.

Good professor, gives very straight-forward lessons - very dry sense of humor - I learned a lot in the lab class. One complaint - each test was 15% of the grade and two of the tests were only 3 questions long. If you screw up on one test, your grade is screwed. I enjoyed the class though.

Would take again

His tests are difficult but its chemistry I was expecting that. His lectures are really boring. This class is very do able if you but in effort. I could have gotten an A if I tried a little harder. Grade is based on homework tests and final. There is a take home Add to dictionary that replaces your lowest test grade. All in all not that bad.

Fantastic professor! Sadly he is retiring this semester, but he was great. Kind of a monotone voice, but told us exactly what was on the lab exams, amazing though!

Wouldn't take again

He wants a summary of the lab procedure and calculations when he asks you to do it. He demonstrates the lab step by step before your group does it. There is only two exams a midterm and final. They are difficult. No extra credit.
