Kurt is an awesome teacher. He has loads of energy and quite a few jokes. He is a funny guy and not your normal accountant. He will entertain but at the same time educate you. He is not an easy A but if you put the effort so will he. Overall great class and I will be going back to him for BUS 1B

Okay so Hull was amazing. I dont understand why some people thought he was hard. He lets you have a cheat sheet for the test! As for the multiple choice, read your notes, read the book and you'll be FINE. I got As on all his tests. and he is SOO helpful. His stories are awesome. He's truly and amazing teacher. One of the best I've had at Elco.

Very helpful and knowledgable professor. His practice tests are very similar to the tests and he is clear about what you need to know to succeed. Just keep up with the readings and study the practice tests and homework questions and its not too hard a hard class

Great teacher in this course. His practice test are as close as they can be to the actual test. Study the practice test, fill out a great one sheet, and you'll pass the test. He has a lot of experience in the field which he tells stories relating to the current chapter of the class.

I thought Hull was a great teacher. I had done a lot of bookkeeping prior to this class, but this class really helped me understand accounting, reading financial reports, and more high level accounting info. Prof Hull was very, very helpful, explained everything well, and was a great teacher.

Hull is an awesome professor all around. Funny, approachable, knows the material well, and is great at teaching it in a way that you can follow and understand. Goes over every homework problem and does lots of examples in class to give you practice. Never thought I'd like accounting but his class made me switch majors to it. Take him!!

Homework is online and it is based on the lectures from class. For test, study the study guide that he gives in class and the one from online to get an A on Exam. If you study that you will get an A on the Exam. Nice professor and is willing to help if you don't understand something.

I am not a business major when I took this class. It was hard to be honest but the teacher made it easy and the end project will help your grade that is if you do well.

I took both BUS-1A and 1B with Prof. Hull. Both are actually intense, and you definitely need to spend some time for HWs and Projects to pass these courses. Although they weren't easy courses, I got As for both 1A and1B. If you study reasonably, it is not hard to get A. You can always ask Prof. Hull if you need some help. He is there for you!

He's a good teacher with a hard subject. Accounting isn't fun. Never has been, never will be, but he tries to make it fun. He gives pretty good speeches sometimes. He changed the way I think about some things and you can tell he's pretty smart. Tests are easy if you study.

Professor Hull is a great teacher and knows how to explain the material very well. Managerial Accounting is a tough concept, but if you do the homework and the practice problems in class you should get an A on the exams. He also lets you use a page of notes on the exams, so its not hard to pass them.

Accounting is a not so easy subject. After taking this course with professor Hull I understand accounting. He understands accounting is a not so easy subject and tries his best to make the class as do-able and interesting as possible. Pre-tests are given before all exams. Expect long homework assignments, but these are meant to help you.

One of the best teachers out there hands down. Hilarious. Sacrifices his dignity for the sake of keeping the class awake. Extremely caring and takes the art of teaching seriously. Very clear in lectures. I ended up getting over 100% and I'm not the smartest guy around by a long shot. Pretests very similar to actual tests.

I took Prof Hull for Bus 1A & 1B, MORE THAN HALF of the class was the same as the 1A Sem. That's a testament to his ability to teach and how respected he is by students. Great lectures, straight forward and funny, and he gives you more than enough work to prepare for tests. Use his office hours and extra study sessions !!!! Would take him again!

Professor Hull is one of the coolest teachers on campus. He's always willing to help and has a great sense of humor. He also works with you on Accounting problems in class so you understand it. Homework is online and the pretests are online as well. Make sure you do those and pay attention in class and you'll be golden.

Nice guy. Easy Class. Allowed a piece of cheat sheet every exam. He talked so many fun stuff when he notices the class got boring. He tried so hard to get your attention and tried every way to give you an A. Even made up a "final presentation" which you get full credit by just show up.

He is a unique guy & takes his time to remember student's names in the class, which is cool. he also tells interesting stories about his travels and does his best to keep the class interested and listening. Professor Hull is the best professor I have ever had! I definitely looked forward coming to class. Tests can be difficult - however, if you study, you will pass. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Teaches class with passion, great instructor. Just do the hw,reading, and assignments and you will do good on the exams. He gives 4 exams, which are not tough just study for it and you will get an A. Professor Hull highly recommended. Pluses are notes for exams, Canvas online system very helpful, important to view videos and example hints for homework. Majority of your grade is based on the tests. He gives a clear explanation of all the material & encourages the class to participate in examples. This class can be very easy if you're willing to learn & stay on top of the homework. I plan on taking him again.

Prof Hull is great! Gives you a full cheat sheet for every test. Decent amount of online homework. But his class is not boring with his sense of humor. All you have to do is actually pay attention in class and take real notes with pen and paper... not just sit there in front of your laptop. Also he has some good stories!

He is an exceptional instructor, his lectures are not boring. He makes you work hard for your grade but you will prepare for when you transfer. Skip class won't pass, ask questions, exams are little hard but if you review the practice exam you will be fine.

This class is not easy. Get ready to spend 3-5 hours on your laptop trying to complete all of the weekly assignments. These assignments consist of 30-60 "reading" questions in which you have to answer all of them correctly in order to move on, the hw 6-10 problems that have a-d sometimes a-f, and quiz. Pro. is nice but he tells too many stories.

This is a hybrid class, which transferred to online due to COVID-19, but still have zoom lectures. Professor Hull is very thorough when going over the materials. He gives time to understand the material. He is a VERY nice guy who is attentive to his students! Well trained professional who can actually teach from afar with no issues. So glad I took!

the best prof I've had! his class is DIFFICULT but he is great at lectures, never boring, and very funny! took is BUS1A/B classes and don't regret it. DONT SKIP CLASS! took 8-week hybrid classes for both and it goes really fast! the tests really determine your grade but the hw helps edge you out of a bad grade if youre not doing so well.

Professor Hull is great. I took him for Bus 1A & now Bus 1B. He is REALLY good at the hybrid/online courses. His lectures are interactive or he shows how to do the work. A real good find for El Camino. He is way better than some at the school, especially once we went online. Good attitude, great help, positive feedback. SB and HW are key to exams.

Professor Hull is honestly amazing and his assignments are not that hard if you read the textbook. There are only two tests, but if you review the hw assignments you should be fine. I didn't think it was a hard class and I definitely look forward to taking him again for BUS 1B this fall. Also, he gives extra credit and it boosts your grade by 2%

If taken during covid-19 learning, be prepared to read the chapters on your own. I took the accelerated version of the class, and boy was there a lot of reading for each chapter! there were no zoom meetings but each week we would get a video update from professor and he responded to emails quickly. tests were not too hard and based off homework.

Not sure what all the negative comments are about. I took Hull for Bus1A & 1B & I really appreciated that all of his lectures, assignments, etc. were posted prior to start of the semester. You knew exactly what to expect for the entire course & could pace yourself. His class was organized & straight forward, nothing came out of left field.

I don't know what these bad reviews are talking about, Hull is honestly a great professor. He is very worldly and it is clear through his lectures how he connects things to everyday life. He's a very understanding guy and is there for office hours if you don't understand. I'm taking him again for 1B and I am ready for it! Definitely take him!

Amazing professor, super funny, and very wise. He takes his time to teach everyone how to work out problems and is very communicative. His class was relatively easy. You will pass as long as you do the hw and quizzes. Tests can be hard but he helps your prepare for them and its everything you have been doing. Also drops the lowest test

I had him for 1A and took him again for 1B. We had started off in person but switched completely online due to coivd, but considering most of his coursework required online access already the transition was easy and felt the same as in person. Hes the best BUS professor at Elco. Super funny and advises on real life stuff a total no BS person.

His discussions were always thought provoking, he posed questions on top of questions and interacted with every student despite this being an online course. Absolutely great Professor.

Easy class. The professor responds fast to emails and is very helpful. Took this for the last 8 weeks semester. It is very easy and manageable but definitely doesn't recommend procrastinating.

Class consist of two weekly assignments that are time consuming, however they prepare you for the tests. Tests make up majority of grade. You stay with the same group for all group projects. Prerecorded lectures are timestamped and easy to follow. Professor is reasonable and rounds final grades. Also offers weekly study sessions highly recommended.

Overall this guy really makes something as dull as accounting worth learning. He has a great personality that's easy to connect with and he is thoroughly educated on everything in accounting. Absolutely recommend.

Must study to Pass. Test weight alot no extra credit or late work. Be organized and on top of due dates. Every point count so yes do the assignment NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES.

Great professor! Online practice exams were very similar to the actual one. For the exams you were allowed a cheat sheet front and back. He also dropped the lowest test score.

This was a tough class but it was also only 8 weeks and online. We completed 2-3 chapters weekly and had to complete homework, quizzes and tests on the smart books website. The website was very helpful with studying

Best professor. He actually cares about what he is teaching and makes a mundane subject better. Provides his own templates and has plenty of practice during class to really solidify the info and takes the time to explain anything you don't understand. Also has plenty of life experience on the topics which makes for a memorable teaching style. 10/10

Great Professor! Took his class two semester for Bus150 & Bus151. I would recommend you to take him, really made me understand accounting more than I expected. As long as you are attending the class and you are keeping up with the assignments and paying attention, you'll do fine. Doesn't give extra credit but grading is not harsh.

Professor Hull is hands down one of the best professors I've had. Extremely experienced, knowledgable, and passionate when it comes to business, I intend on taking his class again. His lectures are paced professionally and naturally, and not to mention, he's a pretty funny guy altogether. Hard to find a negative about him in my honest opinion.

If you want to learn about accounting, he is the guy. If you just want credit, then skip. I was the just wanted a credit person but converted to actually want to learn about accounting. I learned about accounting so much. HE WILL TAKE ATTENDANCE, HE WILL PICK ON YOU. But picking on me from no where motivated me study more and master accounting.

Mr Hull is dry but an excellent teacher. I took the condensed online course Accounting 150. Tough. I like him SO much better than the professor I have now. He gets back to you quickly, his emails aren't curt, he adds context to his lectures and when meeting on zoom, has an actual sense of humor! Stay organized, keep up and you'll do fine.

Prof. Hull's teaching style is straightforward. Expectations are always clear. Lectures are never under-stimulating thanks to his ability to charismatically sprinkle in personal anecdotes that are relevant to the course material. Show up, read the material, do the homework, take the practice exams, and surely you will pass having learned something!

This teacher gave extremely clear lectures, clear instructions, and perfect pacing to prepare me for the midterm exam and final exam. If you do all the homework, you will be prepared, and you will be glad he gave you so much homework, because you will be prepared. I like him a lot better than my current accounting teacher. I miss Professor Hull.
