Good Guy, not the main professor but helps the class allot, easy grader, very funny and interesting. Find out what classes he's assisting and sign up.

he is a nice guy that is easy to understand. he gets a bit cheesy at times, but he really breaks the information down so that it is beyond simple. not too difficult of a class, but reading the textbook is KEY!
Very nice guy, if you talk about fishing with him he will love you as a student. Try to take a class where he is helping out in.

well, I think I am wierding him out with my spunky persona, but he pretends not to mind me. Dr. lindemann is a quality fellow who is passionate about his work.the class is excrutiatingly simple in content, but if you are a bit timid in public speaking, it could really help, I would assume. captain Kurt has my endless respect.
I really enjoyed his class. He speaks clear and his powerpoints are easy to understand. I also thought he was funny.
It's a shame that more people didn't show up for his lectures becuase they really were entertaining. He finds ways to effectively connect the notes to our lives. My favorite lecture was the one about the pick-up lines! This lecture really is an enjoyable one - even though it wasn't mandatory, I attended every one.
He tried to make the lectures interesting but they still were kinda boring. Definitely not a class you have to attend since everything is in the book. Overall he's a really nice guy.
I thought he was a really nice prof and he tried to make things interesting...but they just weren't. You can't really lecture in a fun way I guess, but I attended a different lecture by Diess and he is way better! Lindemann is okay... you don't really have to go to lecture to get the info though...it's all in the book.

A good guy, and i know he tries to spice up the class but the lectures were still INCREDIBLY boring. I tried my hardest to stay awake, but just could hardly ever do it. Nice guy, but really, I could have skipped his lectures and jus studied the book, & im sure everyone else can too.
I agree with everyone that lectures were very boring..He did what he could to make them interesting...I only missed 2-3 lectures..There were some things on quizzes n tests n exams from lecture that werent discussed in class...but other that, he was fine!
Pointless lecture, pointless class, but he's a pretty cool guy. I only went to three lectures during the semester, but if you study the study guide, you'll do fine on all tests.
Nice guy. Easy class. Lecture is kind of pointless, but he tries to make it interesting for the few that actually go.
Pointless lecture. everything he goes over you already read or know. He seems cheesy when he talks. Went to 4 lectures the whole semester and still got an A in the class. he tries to make it interesting. sometimes assigns assignments to turn into your comm class to make sure you are going to lectures-counts as participation grade.
the lecture is useless. the book is better. don't bother showing up.
boring, hard tests
He's a very nice guy, but everything you "learn" in that class is common sense. Skim through the book and you should be fine.
BORING! didnt go to lecture ever untill he went on a power trip and decided to give assignments. he teaches exactly what is in the book and then throws in like 2 other things and bases the test on those. he makes your tests so go to lecture or get friends notes. if u do go to lecture bring something else to do becuase u will be bored.
Pretty nice guy, very funny to students who leave lecture early. he teaches well and uses great examples, but attendance in lecture doesnt really help that much. usually, the discussion teachers post his notes. i would take him tough...pretty easy class
His lectures are VERY boring. He tells everyone that theres important information at the lectures, but when you go all he does is review the last chapter and ends up running out of time to go over that weeks reading. Dont bother going to his lectures. Just read your book and youll do fine.
I think this professor was great!!!! I've never had a professor that was well balanced in the teachings of communications. This class was very informative and interesting. Highly recommended.
if you can, try to take the other comm 103 prof. his lectures are super boring! my TA was cool, but i heard that some of the others were unclear. if you dont go to lecture, you should read and you will be fine. take the online quizzes before the midterm and final, they are both written by the same person, so it helps.
He's does Lectures. He introduces ideas(&assignments) that are not in the book but ARE on the test.I would have gotten an A if I went to most of the Lectures. Woops! If you have a good small groups teacher than you are okay.(L.Nguyen was great)meet them during office hours.
He teaches a class on how to be effective when speaking to others. Doesn't that just make him sound incredibly fake right from the start?
Lindermann is the worst lecturer EVER!! i cannot express to you how pointless his lectures are! I went to about 3 the whole semester, because I realized that none of the lecture stuff showed up on tests even though he said they would. As long as you read your textbook and do well in your small class lectures then you will be fine! Take anyone else!
The material is very boring, but Linderman does his best to make it as interesting as possible. Know key terms! I had the other lecturer once and he was very funny.
Total waste of time going to lecture. Though it is now required through use of the 'clickers' to take attendance for points. He is VERY boring and is a total dork. Not very helpful in or outside of class. Doesnt know anything about how to use his computer/clickers during lecture...how long has he been teaching in the same lecture hall???
he's an ok professor, lectures were a little boring and didn't seem to help me much, it's easier if you just read the book, or copy a friends notes.
Wow I can't believe all the bad comments. Well, I took this class last semester in Fall 06' for COMM103 in the ENS big room and had him as a lecture professor. He is a very professional professor and his lectures are crystal clear. He also makes his lectures funny. Those notes if you use them to study for the exams, they will sure help out.
i dont recommend this class but it is required. Its a complete waste of time but it was easy class overall.
Lectures are somewhat boring. The powerpoints are extremely helpful though. Attendance is mandatory because you get participation points with the clicker questions. It's a chill atmosphere and he's a nice guy
Pretty annoying, likes to talk alot , but kind of knows his****
His lectures tend to be boring, but he really knows a lot about the subject. Nice guy, attendance was required.
He tries to make class interesting and fun with his little quirks here and there and at times it can be amusing. He always tries to present his lectures in way that students can relate to them in the current sense. You can tell that he knows his information like the back of his hand too.
Lindemann makes things very clear, and you can tell he knows what he's talking about. Large lecture is only once a week, but I looked forward to going every week. Easy class as long as you read the book before the midterm/final.
He's a pretty nice guy, and his lectures are good but relatively unnecessary if you read the book. Midterm and final were easy in my opinion-study the vocab and diagrams and you'll be fine.
not a bad class really. it matters who get get on your small section. so talk to some people about that. i hated my grad student small section person. tests are hard. study.
He's a nice guy with a great attitude, jokes around a lot, and tries to stay "hip".His material is straightforward, everything you need to know is written on the projector over powerpoint.but you do need to go to class every time to use your clickers, and DON'T FORGET TO READ THE BOOK,a lot of information comes from the book. Not so much the lecture.
Boring lecture, but you basically get points for just showing up. The small lecture teacher is more who you should be worried about.
Fun guy, but boring lecture. Attending lecture is mandatory but its an easy way to ace 10% of your grade. Make sure you read, or at least skim, the book before tests because a lot more material comes from that than the actual lecture.
funny guy, and not boring. involves the class by asking funny questions. its such a large lecture that you can talk and text in class while taking notes at the same time. go to lecture because you get points for clicking in and also some of the lecture notes are on the midterm. i would recommend him for communications
funny guy. go to lecture because you will receive points. take notes (especially on the clicker questions) because they will appear on the midterm and final. the large lecture is interesting, but the small discussion groups are ridiculous. lindemann is a good professor, but i would not recommend this class.
Nice guy, his lectures are alright. It's his TA's you have to watch out for, not all of them are super nice. Tests are based on lecture notes and readings, practice tests are useful, some speeches are dumb but whatever.
406 is stupid. And dr. L is a beating. Take this class only if you have a refillable precription for vikes. his staff profile says that for fun he reads and writes. And he truely is that dry. OH...AND HE GRADES RETARDEDLY HARD. Online posts and quizes weekly. 10 page essay, 20 page group project, and in class excercizes EVERY WEEK. Efing BOO!
Lindy is so boring, yet he wants to be hip, so he says random stuff in an attempt to get some laughs. Lectures are mandatory for clicker points, but so pointless because nothing he talks about is really that relevant. Midterm & Final are hard becuz he doesn't teach any of it. just hope you get a good TA like Sara, she was freakin' awesome!
mr. L is hilarious in an akward way. the class is relatively easy if you dont have a problem public speaking. the only thing i hate about the class is that it's big so everyone thinks they can just talk & text their way through it. there's a lot of rude people who do this and then look at you like you're crazy when you tell them to shut up..
lindy was hilarious, def tried to engage his students in things they understand.only need large lec for clickerpoints.TA's are wat matter.i had RUDOLPH, he was laid back and not too hard of a grader. midterm/final were 98%from book, easyeasyeasy if u study for 3 days prior&use ch study guides.make sure u work hard on outlines, they count for a lot.
Funny guy. Some lectures a bit boring, but not too bad. We are supposed to read the book, but I never read and still got an A. Study the study guides he posts on BB. Some questions are given only in lecture. Speeches kind of annoying but whatevs! Clicker points given & extra points added in case of glitches, so you could probably miss some classes.
Took this class in summer.. It was pretty much the easiest Comm. class I have taken at SDSU so far
I really like this teacher. He is enthusiastic and the material is interesting as well as easy to understand.
nice prof. the lectures are not super boring like some of the others are. he makes jokes, some are cheesey but at least he tries. read the book and you'll do good on the tests, they're mostly about vocab and main concepts so you dont really have to worry about all the little details. it's a good easy class
hes a really nice guy and hes easy to listen to his lectures werent bad and his clicker questions help a lot with the tests
At the beginning of the semester he's funny but then it just starts to be annoying. Tests are EASY.
Easy and fun lecture class. All you have to do is take notes and answer clicker questions. Pay attention to the clicker questions because some of them are in the midterm and final. He doesn't go over all the terms in the chapter so look for the rest in the textbook. Use the study guides b/c they're really helpful.
Really boring and annoying. He tries to be funny and fails. If you can take a different professor. Class is super easy so either way your grade should be fine. tests are easy too. Clicker question class, if you cant go just have someone take the clicker for you.....you wont miss much.
I liked his class. He kept things interesting and the use of the clicker (while it made class pretty much manditory) was really helpful. Take his class if you can.
attendance to lecture is mandatory cause you get a lot of points w/ your clicker. don't worry if you don't understand his lectures but do take notes. just study the study guides & hope you wrote down the info he only gave out in lecture! but it's an easy A. do what the rubric asks for and youll have good speeches.
attend class for the easy clicker points.book was useful for when you used the study guides.take notes during lecture because some of the topics he discusses comes up on the midterm/final.some clicker questions show up on the exams.fill out as much of the outline for your speeches as you can.3 individual speeches and 1 group speech. simple enough.
He is really nice and his lectures are pretty easy to understand. Make sure you go to lectures because you get 100 points just for showing up and using your clicker (you dont even need to get the clicker questions right). Some of the clicker questions show up on the midterm and final so make sure you write them down. I highly recommend him.
mandatory because of clicker points. his lectures really don't make any sense and he kinda tries too hard to be funny. his tests are also ridiculously hard. you don't really use the book throughout the class, just need it for the midterm and final.
He tried to be engaging but for the most part was pretty boring. The lectures are important and the clicker questions do help. Go to Lecture. Some of the questions on the midterm and final are only found at lecture. A fair class overall.
he's cool and makes everything pretty clear. he can get kind of boring and you kinda need to go to class for clicker points, but would recomend :)
Lindemann is a pretty cool professor. He's really nice, and gets the class involved. You're grade really depends on who your TA is.
Nice professor who liked getting the students involved during the lectures. Clicker questions count as points whether they or correct or not. Material was kind of boring, but the overall atmosphere of the class was fun. 1 midterm and a final. Most of the clicker questions end up being questions on the midterm/final, so make sure to know them.
Professor Lindeman was one of my favorite professors during my first semester. He taught us the material very clearly, and in a way that connected to the students. Other than the connection with the students, I also loved the clicker questions. They really helped with my learning.YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIS CLASS!!!=)
Hes such a nice professor! He speaks very clearly and helps you alot by giving clicker questions that just happen to be on the midterm and final. He makes lecture fun with good topics and music/videos. you dont really need the book that much. I would recommend this class.
He is pretty funny and tries to make the material interesting through videos and class participation. Don't really use the book. One midterm and final. Have to go to class for clicker pts. Grade mostly depends on your TA.
He is boring and has a monotone voice. he is almost too perfect in his communication techniques. He is really nice and tries to be funny, but usually fails. he is to the point. but almost too much. if you want an interesting class, dont take him
He tries to make the class entertaining, randomly dispersing jokes throughout the class. Attendance is mandatory because you get clicker points, so make friends and trade days to go. All the slides are posted online. You definitely don't need to read the book at all.
I attended his lectures just for the clicker points. Tries to be entertaining, but if there is such a thing as too positive... it's him.
His large lecture was just something for me to burn time. He has a Good sense of humor.
Prof tried to be funny during large lecture, but was rarely entertaining. Lectures are mandatory only for clicker points. TA in small lecture takes care of your grade. The large lectures seemed like a waste of time because all notes are online. Do other hw during his class except during clicker questions and your time will be used better.
attendance mandatory because you use clickers every time. very cute middle-aged man who is so excited to teach you about communication. lectures were sometimes dull, but that's because im not interested in comm, but most of the time it was fun because we had little activities. one time he asked the class what pick up lines weve heard.. that was fun
Attendance definately mandatory. Uses clickers every time. Fun to listen to. Easy to pass if you take notes and pay attention to powerpoint slides. Definately recommend:)
Attendance pretty much mandatory; uses clickers every time. Easy class to pass if you take the notes, actually pay attention and read the powerpoint slides. Funny guy, likes to joke around a lot. Definately would recommend:)
Lecture - waste of time. Best thing I learned so far: selective hearing. Most small sections go faster than the large lecture so he teaches on things you have already learned so the clicker points are a breeze. No need to pay attention just press ur clicker and enjoy the free time. He does love his job though and tries his best. Kudos for effort.
Theres really no point to large lecture except for the clicker points as attendance. He puts all the powepoint slides online. With so many people in the class its hard not to get distracted on yours or others laptop's. There is also always technical difficulties when he gives lectures which is annoying
Lecture is extremely helpful for the midterm and final. Clicker points are important and the clicker questions are on the tests.
Write down every clicker question and the answer, those are basically free test questions. Lecture is very interesting. Take notes. Listen. Do the study guides.
EASY CLASS. Ask someone you know about TA's tho. I had Kathryn Shaw, and she was a really chill TA. Just show up to large lecture and write down the clicker questions its what most of the class midterms and finals are based on. Clicker Points really affect your grade too. its the only reason I showed up for class.
Either go to class, or give a friend a clicker, either way you'll get all the points for the large lecture.
Dr. Lindemann (great prof!) says that it's untrue what ppl say about clicker qs, but I disagree. You really could give it to a friend bc you get credit for attendance whether the answer you submit is right or wrong. BUT you should go to lecture & listen. Qs are on the tests. Pick a good TA (not Alyssa Strom). Study guides=must!
this guy really isnt funny, class is boring, and you can give someone your clicker. write down the clicker questions he gives out because theyre all on the midterms. stupid questions like... JESSE & JAMES are showing what kind of communication? SEAN & LANESHIA... blah blah blah
Start going to the classes at the end of the semester, he gives out more points. Useless and boring lectures, easy if you put effort. Write down clicker questions and do not worry too much about this class.
Large & small lectures. Large lecture is boring, but you get points for clicker questions which are always on the midterm and final. Write down clicker questions. Small lecture TA determines your grade. DO NOT GET ALYSSA STROM! She does not want anyone to get an A.
good teacher, sooo not funny but the class is easy because all you have to do is show up and click... hell you dont even need to show up, have a trusting friend click for you!!!
He's a cool guy but everything he tells you in lecture, he posts online the night before. He gives out way more clicker points towards the end so definitely don't miss the last few classes. Pretty easy class, but it depends who you get for your TA - it could screw you over.
Professor is super nice. Go to his lectures and write down the clicker questions, these are the same questions he uses on the tests. use your clicker every lecture and get easy points. Your TA is the important part, your grade is mostly dependent upon them for speeches. READ THE BOOK & study, it helps. So choose a good TA if you want a good grade!
great
Total nerd! but not a bad guy at all. In fact he is really nice. The class is really easy as long as you dont slack off. WRITE DOWN THE CLICKER QUESTIONS. they are always on the tests. Also, look into who you get for your TA, they have the greatest influence toward your grade.
This class is so easy! Write down the clicker questions because they are all on the tests. He's really nice, and extremely helpful. If you know someone who has taken the class, ask about what TA to get. They are the ones who grade all your speeches.
He gives great lectures and has memorable examples. Great professor. Be sure to attend lectures and know the vocabulary and you'll do very well.
Lots of class participation. He is a nice guy. Reasonable.
Dr. Lindemann is a great professor. Just write down all the clicker questions because most of them appear on the Mid-term and Final Exams. Make sure you get a good TA, and TAs do the Gradings. I highly recommend the TA whose name is Hish Omar, and he is very easy.
Class isn't mandatory but I suggest on going because he gives out a lot of extra credit points for clicker questions. Click questions are also something to pay attention to because he uses them on the tests. Overall an easy class and his the lectures aren't completely boring.
I took him over the summer for Comm 406- organizational communication. Such a nice teacher!!!!!!!!! He tries really hard to make a really dull subject more engaging. He gave us points for in class assignments and gave us E.C. points too! We had 2 exams/ 1 group project. Half of his tests come from the quizzes/in class review questions. Take him!!
He's a nice dude. Easy class. he has over 2000 students so he's pretty busy, but will still provide help when you need it.
He is so good at public speaking and teaching but the subject matter is just very boring. Very good teacher and easy class to pass.
He is very engaging and fun! he makes most topics very fun. and basically tells you what he is putting in the test. I HIGHLY recommend going to large lecture, because his clicker questions oftenly show up in his very easy test! This professor is great!
Great teacher!! He does a great job explaining things and he makes you understand everything. Attendance isn't mandatory, although you get points for going. There is a small and large lecture for this class. Both present a very comfortable environment to be in. Tests are not hard, just know the material and you'll do fine. Enjoyed this class a lot.
One of the best professors at state hands down. Funny, clear, and keeps the class engaged. A very very good speaker in general. If you have the choice to get him as your professor than seriously take his class.
Best professor I've had this semester! He makes the lectures entertaining and also easy to understand. He also gives out study guides for the exams and mostly uses the clicker questions, so write them down! I love this class.
this class is easy, just 4 speeches only 2 individual ones and rest as a group. take as a TA: Brooks! Great and fun large lecture, powerpoints are extremely helpful. review for test and you will be good.
He is a great professor. He teaches in a huge lecture room full of people but yet keeps you engaged. He keeps the lectures really interesting and funny its not like hes just lecturing you. I actually enjoy going to this class
Attend lecture and write down all the "clicker questions" bc they appear on the exams, do about 5 speeches in your small sections which are graded by the TA. Recommend doing the study guides. Got an A.
Pretty easy class as long as you get a good TA. Make sure to turn in all outlines! Mid-term was super easy, study more for final!
Only lecture I ever attend (among all of mine) he is a very energetic teacher. ALL THE CLICKER QUESTIONS ARE ON THE EXAMS, (some) so write them down. He provides study guides and those alone got me a 95% in the class. You need a great TA to get an A.. I had MATLOCK, best TA ever. She never made us dress up for speeches like other TA's do. GET HER!
Enjoys teaching the class. Very funny, he is always making jokes. If you sit in the front he will call on you so if you don't like talking sit in the middle or the back.
He's very funny and shows some funny clips during lecture. Definitely a good class.
Sit in the "splash zone" he usually interacts with the first 3 rows. Its a large lecture so try to talk to him. Attendance points & clicker questions are a plus, CLICKER questions are on the test; use his study guides on blackboard. GREAT TEACHER!
He loves teaching, and it shows. Really interesting to listen to even though I didn't really care about the subject matter.
This large lecture is sort of useful if you write down all the clicker questions and get full credit on them. 4 speeches, one mid-term, and one final. Not an extremely hard class, but the tests are challenging and need studying for. In-class lectures are fun with David Berver.
He was a great professor! As long as you attend the lecture you are fine. The tests are for the most part clicker questions so MAKE SURE TO WRITE THEM DOWN!!! He is a very friendly, approachable, and enthusiastic professor.
One large lecture a week. Always the class out on time and seemed very enthusiastic about the material.
he's awesome, funny and made class interesting. WRITE DOWN THE CLICKER QUESTIONS!.. they'll be on the test. I HIGHLY recommend him!
By far the best professor I've had so far. He makes the material relevant to pop culture and makes lectures fun to go to. Make sure you have the required amount of clicker points before you start skipping. Your grade will drop significantly if you don't get clicker points.
This is the only lecture class where I payed attention throughout. I found it very easy to listen to Dr. Lindemann; He lectures in a fun, enthusiastic way. The clicker questions are pretty easy and mandatory to do to get enough points throughout the semester. They also mirror the exam questions, so study them and the ones on the study guides.
Prof. Lindemann always seemed enthusiastic about teaching. Attending lectures, which are once a week, are helpful bc the clicker questions presented are often on the exams. Studying the clicker ques & reading the chptrs assigned will def help for the exams as well.
take him! super easy and interesting. the lecture is only 50 minutes and he posts all the notes online. clicker points for attendance but it raises your grade and he gives you about 3 days to miss. the midterm and final is ALL clicker questions so write them down!
This class was pointless to go to large lecture as long as you give someone your clicker there is no point in going. The days i went i did not pay attention unless he was making a joke, he is pretty funny and nice. Just do the study guides before the tests and your good
Large lectures were boring, he tries to be funny but you lose interest in the middle of the lecture. Try to avoid.
Give the clicker to your friend if you dont feel like going to the class...Good class...I recommend Ms.Puhl for small lecture...
Easy class, Easy A. Boring subject but good teacher. I wouldn't go to class and if you do you don't need to pay attention. Everything that is on the test is in the book. The clicker questions are helpful but not necessary.
This was probably one of the easiest classes I have ever taken at SDSU. The material is commonsense and he is a great teacher that explains each topic very clearly! There was a smaller group class meeting that was taught by a student assistant, it was associated with this class & speeches were involved (3-4)
Easy going guy. Make class pretty entertaining with his humorous jokes. teaching style is clear and concise. relies heavily on powerpoint presentations. Ends class early a majority of the time. Going to class is pointless if you forgot your clicker since thats how you earn your points.
He's a nice guy and does his best to engage the entire class or 300+ students. His powerpoints help and the study guides/ clicker questions are invaluable for studying! easy A class. highly recommended.
Good teacher, he is interested in his subject and keeps lectures interesting. You have to go to all lectures but he lets you miss around 4. Attendance is through clicker so you can have a friend click you in. Half this class depends on what TA you get as well.
A great lecturer. Knows his subject and is able to relate it. Attending class is worth it to hear him speak-also participation point through clicker use.
Great presenter and knows what he is talking about. Funny in class and most of the time you want to be in class. It all depends on your small section teacher.
He is the large lecture professor so he doesn't give you any work, all that is done in the small section. He is incredibly easy and all you have to do is remember your clicker and its an easy 100%
Large lectures were a little pointless because the topics are pretty common sense, but Lindeman is a great guy and tries to make class interesting. Pay attention to what the answers are to the clicker questions because a lot of those questions are on the midterms!
Great professor. He definitely knows his stuff. He does his best to make class interesting. Pay attention to the clicker questions and take advantage of the study guides he gives for the midterm and final. They help. A LOT.
Really good for having to teach so many students. He uses humor in his lectures and it is mostly common sense. Overall I thought he was a great professor.
Lecture and final are really easy. If you study using the connect learnsmart modules, the final will be simple. He makes the lectures interesting and funny, and you have to attend to receive clicker points. Actual small section depends on your teacher. Great large lecture teacher though!
Great teacher. He canceled class for about two weeks and the material on the quiz were easy. just go over the key terms in the book and sometimes the paragraphs have "stories" that he usually takes his clicker questions from. also don't forget to do modules.
Dr. Lindemann is so nice and funny! He makes large lecture entertaining and occasionally plays a funny video or makes a joke, always being considerate of the audience. His lectures are clear. You need to show up with your clicker to get points. Overall, I recommend him. You learn in this class and actually enjoy it.
Lectures are boring but what can you expect- it's pretty boring material. He tries his best to make it interesting, always cracking jokes etc. Your grade depends on which TA you get. Some are hard, some are super easy. The two exams are fairly difficult. I didn't expect to have to study for a communication exam (haha) but definitely needed to!!
Lectures are boring but you have to go for the clickr points. Do the study guides, questions from them are often on the tests. Always look on the extra page for surveys, I missed getting an A buy 3 points and I could've got those points from a survey.
Topics were boring but he made it relatively interesting. Attendance with your Clicker is a MUST in order to receive points for large lecture. Two exams, must study the book in order to know a lot of the vocab and topics, but some are more common sense-based. Overall, pretty laid back guy!
Dr. Lindemann was great. The topics are boring and pretty much common sense, but he made it interesting and relatable to us. Clicker questions so you have to go to class but he's fun to listen to.
Loved this guy! He's a very entertaining lecturer and he makes the subject interesting. He's as helpful as he can be lecturing a class of 500... he really seems to care about students. The tests are really easy if you read through the material. Don't be stupid and cheat, because that's one thing he has no tolerance for.
All I can say is that it's fitting that Lindemann teaches COMM. He's a very good communicator, and manages to make the fairly boring subject interesting. He doesn't care much about his students, but you'll mostly work with your breakout section teacher, so that's not a big deal. Recommended.
Lindemann is entertaining and I didn't mind going to his lectures (clicker points make attendance mandatory.) There are two tests, and they're not bad if you do the study guides/take the quizzes at the end of the chapters in the textbook. He loves to read things that people tweet about his class.
Very funny and great speaker. Lots of the class is basic common sense, but learning terms for the situation. Clicker points is a drag but lecture was not bad at all. 2 tests and 5 quizzes. Small section speeches are pretty dumb topics but TAs are pretty lenient on grading. Forgot to take 2 quizzes and and got Cs on both tests yet ended with B+
Dr. Lindemann is super nice and very clear about all the concepts he is lecturing on. Attendance is mandatory, he uses clickers. There is one mid-term and a final (not cumulative). Class is very easy. Just go to large and small lecture, do the work and you're golden :) Have a great semester!
Go to class to get your clicker points. He makes lecture interesting with his examples and jokes. Do the study guides for the midterm and the final!
Very clear on the concepts, and uses good examples. he is a master of speech lol. he also makes a few jokes here ans there, and puts on videos which are usually funny, but to show the concept of communication. i cant recommend to take this class... i will instead force you to take it since its freshmen requirement lol
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! SO HELPFUL!
Pretty easy class. Show up and use the clicker. 1 midterm and a final. fairly easy overall
He makes his lectures easy and understandable and I actually enjoyed going to class. His exams are straight forward and his study guides help you prepare for the test!
large lectures, super fun super easy, he is great. the real class takes place during the breakout sections, and that is all on your small lecture teachers. i was blessed to have a horrible one, but if you want a fun large lecture, hes the guy.. tests are not hard either just read
Dr.Lindemann is a cool professor he has a creative way of getting each student to learn the material. On top of that he realize that some students can't learn without using their cell phones or other electronic devices so he takes that into account.
great comm professor! if you want 100 easy points, then go to class for clicker points. he gives ou full points whether you get it right or wrong. powerpoint slides are up on blackboard and he gives a study guide. either way, midterm/final are common sense. easy, easy large lecture. follow him on twitter!
Dr. Lindemann is a very entertaining lecturer. He does a fantastic job for lecturing over 300 students. He incorporates pop culture into his lectures (ratchets, hella, justin bieber+ selena gomez) and follows his students on twitter. His powerpoints can get a little dull but they are very informative. Highly recommend.
He made lectures entertaining with videos and examples that students can actually relate to, which made learning the material a lot easier! Bring your clicker to class, super easy points! I would recommend taking his class.
Lindemann is a great lecturer & keeps everyone interested. Attendance is required in order to get clicker points! Also, make sure to do all of the online modules & quizzes, which you can use your book for. This is the class that made me decide to become a Comm major! Overall, pretty easy & interesting.
Easy teacher. Mandatory attendance. He makes class pretty fun. Uses IClicker and does clicker questions but you get credit with correct or incorrect answers. Take him :)
Lindemann is enthusiastic about subject, making lectures bearable. Attendance a must bc of clicker points. Do all study modules (easy 5pts) 5 quizzes, 2 exams. Do study guides for the exams. 4 speeches that are done in your small lecture. Grade is mostly based on your speeches and outlines, but most TA's are lenient graders. Good luck!
Lindemann is really nice and enthusiastic about subject! Willing to help anyone who goes to office hours. Must attend because of "clickr" points. Do not recommend K., Everhart as TA. She is an extremely difficult grader to the point of not being fair. Some TAs are helpful and nice, some are not. Be aware! Good luck, overall easy!
He is really nice and pretty entertaining! Def an easy class
One of the best professors at SDSU !! very intelligent
Pretty fun professor Tests are super easy just review notes from lectures no need to read book
He's cool but all he does is teach large lecture so the only reason you have to go is for the clicker questions. He makes lecture interesting for the most part. Super easy class and professor.
Sickest professor at SDSU. He's very passionate and knowledgable (obviously) and he's very interested in his students' success in his course and very easy to get in touch with -- just follow him on Twitter! His lectures are easily engage-able because he puts a lot of humor into his teaching. Overall, a great professor.
Professor Lindemann is very clear in his lessons and how he chooses to teach his class. For my semester, there was a LearnSmart module where you had to complete the assignments as well as do online quizzes, and there were two major exams. Each exam was 50pts. Definitely study for his class and an "A" is what you should earn. He is funny as well (:
Well he is the only large comm lecture professor but he is fine. All you have to do is go do the clicker questions. very easy and he puts most of those questions on the midterm and final. very easy to get an A in this class! he can be funny but most of the time i was just on my phone on pintrest.
Lindemann's large lecture is very funny. Just go to class and do the clicker questions and you will get an A on the midterm and final. Always mentions COMM103 Tweets and mindfulness. Hilarious
Dr. Lindemann is a professor that you can actually get to know as a real person, a mentor, and a friend. His upper div classes are much more rigorous than his famously easy COMM 103. Be passionate about COMM if you're going to take any of his classes, he expects a high level of critical thinking and writing skills. Awesome professor!
JUST TAKE HIM! great and funny professor! loved him! great lectures. clicker questions. times goes by soo fast :(
He gave entertaining lectures. He made people laugh. He demonstrated great communication skills. He gave great tips for preparing our speeches. He did a job well done when I had him. The i-clicker questions were fun to answer. I think he changes the lives of thousands every year.
He's funny
Dr. Lindemann is a great teacher at SDSU's school of communication. You can tell he is passionate about what he teaches which translates to the students learning. If you put the work in, you can get a good grade in this class. My only gripe is that sometimes he is a bit condescending to his students (knowingly or unknowingly). Overall cool prof
Dr. Lindemann is an intelligent professor that I had the privilege to take this semester. There's a group project required (pick your members carefully). There's also quizzes and exams. Overall show up to class because points are involved. His lectures are also interesting because of the examples he provides.
Pretty boring class but easy tests. For the online section, he doesn't have video lectures, just powerpoints without audio so it's up to you to learn the material by reading the text. Heavy, heavy reading for the summer session. One week we had more than 140 pages of reading.
This was by far the most straight-forward online class I have ever taken. The schedule and assignments are easy to understand. The book is very easy to comprehend and the tests are straight from the reading with bits from the powerpoint he provides. I would definitely take this class again.
He's just the best. Loves to joke around and is very caring.
class is discussion based. Great teacher who is extremely funny and can tell is passionate about his studies. I would recommend him for any course at SDSU. Workload is manageable. Come to class prepared to participate in discussion by completing the reading.
A lot of athletes thought this sport class was going to be interesting, but Lindemann makes this class so boring. Powerpoints every class on APA format. Monotone voice. Socially awkward in the sense he can't identify with most of his students during lectures & make the material engaging. No midterm, 1 final exam. 2 group papers. Class is doable tho
This class was fine but honestly very boring and hard to get myself to go to. Very monotone and the lectures are not super intriguing. You get stuck in a random group that you do a paper with all year so if they are lazy you are kind of screwed. He's a super caring, nice professor but I just wish I liked this class more
