He is very hard. You better have had some Problem and Statistics before taking him. But actually all them are hard. They do not know how to teach. They do not realize most have not had Stats.

His tests are ridiculously hard. He doesn't explain things well at all. I had a 4.0 GPA before this semester - now I'm hoping to scrape by with a C in his class. He is so horrible!

Worst teacher ever. Tests and class are pathetic. He has no idea how to teach a class and doesn't realize that not everyone is great at math. everyone in my class but about 8 withdrew within the 1st month. he needs to be fired!

The study guide for this class constitutes about 1 millionth of what is actually on the test. He says study the guide and you will be ok, but I think I would have done better if I did nothing at all. By the way, he looks like George Castanza off of Seinfeld. Avoid this man at all costs.

Quite possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. He's not willing to do anything to help you, no matter the circumstances (i.e. hospitalization) that caused you to have problems. Even the other professors hate him...

The absolute worst class i have ever taken. Such a stickler for the rules, wont bend them for anyone. He is such a bad teach i beleive his belly is the most amusing part of the class. Screw Lemmert and screw this class. it started with 30 kids and only 5 took the final. enough said

i would have 2 say he is the worst prof in this university. he's biast as hell, won't help u, & his tests r 2 hard 4 the material covered in class; oh & the book is rediculous! the book has all these mistakes, & the problems expect u 2 know more than the book teaches u... just an aweful class & an aweful prof... i really wish some1 would fire him

Lemmert is hard for no reason. I withdrew after I got a D on the first exam. Then I took it with Hegde and I got a B in the class.

He doesn't seem very smart. It seems like he doesn't know how to teach. His tests are very hard and confusing, mainly because he thinks up the problems. I worked hard in this class and understood the material, but the way his tests were way too confusing. I frustratingly dropped the class after i failed the first two tests.

This teacher is awful. He speeds thru the material super fast, never explains things(like he expects you to already know prob & stat), and tests on stuff he never teaches and stuff that is NOT in the book! He's extreamly unhelpful if you go and ask him to explain something. He says that we already went over this in class and you should know this.

He is a teacher that knows he material very well, but doesn't have the slightest idea who to teach it to others. His test are nothing like what he teaches in the course and nothing like the book. Hi to everyone out there! If any of my fellow FSU student peers are reading this, don't ever take the MATH 209 class with Dr. Kurtis Lemmert!!! He gave me an F grade this past spring 2007 semester and I busted my butt off. He'll never help you pass the class because he will never actually tell you what exactly he'll quiz or test you on!!!

A class goes from 25 to 9 after the deadline to drop the class, when he teaches you something and it's different than the text book, that's a problem. When you get something wrong on test and it's what he taught in class, well let's say that I wish people who dropped the class could still do the teacher evaluation. Good luck to all in his class!

I studied every night, went to tutoring twice a week (every week), went to him for help and did everything he asked and couldn't even get a CS! very hard teacher for no reason, does not care about failing you oh and the dept chair won't help either... One of the worst experiences I've had at this university. He was rude, wouldn't explain anything, and got mad whenever anyone would ask questions. He also intentionally misrepresented our grades, with only one partially graded easy assignment to go on before the withdraw date. Over 2/3 of the class was gone by the final.

He made fun of my answer on the first day. In front of the entire class. He may have been unclear on the fact that he was teaching an entry level math class. Stay away.

Taking his class was the worst mistake that I could have ever done in my life. He is a joker that can NEVER be funny. Stay far far away from his class if you do not want to fail and have re-occurring nightmares. One out of fifteen students pass his class and my class is a proof to that. I wonder why he is still a professor.

WE ALL SHOULD WRITE A LETTER TO THE PROVOST/ PRESIDENT ABOUT HIM. I mean, it will probably not change the grades we have on our transcripts & it cannot refund the money we paid him to fail us- but it can do the next set of students good. He is collecting every dollar that we put on tuition by failing students over and over again. IT NEEDS TO STOP

Heres how college algebra works. Several assignments make up a quiz, several quizzes make up a test. Have to get an 80% on all the HW to take the quiz, and 80% on all the quizzes to take a test. One test = One module. Before you open the next module you have to get 80% on the previous test. Lemmert is no help, and its all online. Goodluck

He is terrible, it would seem like you're getting the hang of it but when you take the "pop" quiz its bad and i couldn't get the have of it i had to drop as fast as i can

Lots of homework, daily readings, very hard class to keep up with if you are taking other classes that require time. expect a hostile class environment he sometimes gets angry at students for little things like leaving or not taking notes. daily quizzes that are a challenge (trick questions). i recommend avoiding this prof, you have better options.

Horrible experience. He is the boss and lets you know it. Teaching assistant is your only hope.

Your expected to do so much homework everyday. He basically thinks this is the only class your taking and expects so much out of you. Its hard to keep up with him try to avoid him at all costs.

Took this class in the summer and he made me buy a $300 textbook and then didn't use it. He also never posted any videos, just expected me to complete 200 equations within the week. He is condescending in his emails. It's appalling that his degree is curriculum and instruction as he's awful at teaching.
