Professor does a good job at explaining the material while keeping the class accessible, had a couple year gap between accounting221 to 222 and didn't have much issues with picking it back up.
Professor Jenkins is an engaging professor. Out-of-class work is essential. The most information-heavy stuff is in the recorded lecture and class is usually for reviewing the homework, discussing the content, and engaging with the content hands-on. If you do not do the homework or watch the lectures you will be very lost.
Professor Jenkins was a great professor. While this class was asynchronous, Professor Jenkins kept us entertained with weekly announcements(full of dry jokes lol), and made sure to be always be accessible. This course had real set due dates, so as long as you manage your time and do the assignments throughout the week it is totally doable.
For future ACC 211 students, stay on top of deadlines! Professor Jenkins takes due dates seriously. Keep a calendar and prioritize tasks. Brace yourself for lots of humour along the way, Professor Jenkins loves his puns. Stay engaged, ask questions, and seek clarification when needed. Make sure to start early and review regularly. You've got this!
The professor is good and makes jokes every now and then. Just make sure to keep up with assignments because late assignments aren't allowed
Overall I enjoyed this professor, he has a super unique grading rubric that is made to help you succeed. He has a good attitude & sense of humor. However, his class (accounting) is super homework-heavy, and if you aren't very math-savvy like me, set aside a bit more time for this class than your others.
Professor Jenkins is a very interesting which helps me pay attention in class. He has a nice grading rubric, and gives extra credit which is always a bonus. He does have a lot of homework so be ready to work.
I have had Professor Jenkins for two semesters now and he is great. If you attend class and listen to his lectures, so you should have no problem passing the class or getting a good grade. He is very insightful about not only accounting, but all aspects of business and life. I had a good time this past year with Professor Jenkins.
Professor Jenkins is an amazing professor! He breaks down each of the chapters to make sure you understand the material. He is laid back and cares about helping you. This is my first semester taking Professor Jenkins. I wish I took him for ACC 211. I definitely recommend this professor, he is the best!
I took the class strictly online, but the pace was very manageable! He allotted a couple extra credit opportunities and commented on assignments effectively/inspirationally so I appreciated that :)
Students should be aware that they have the flexibility to adjust the grading percentages of their coursework categories. This means that if they perform exceptionally well in tests and discussion boards but struggle with homework, they can allocate more weight to the former categories to balance out their overall score.
Professor gives you the opportunity to adjust your grades, giving you the option to make certain categories worth more than others. He tends to go off topic during his lectures, wasting time. It is a fun waste of time. He still teaches the material well and gives you everything you need to succeed. 100% would take this class again.
Professor Jenkins gives you the option to control the percentages on your grades, he is also very social and understandable person, he gives you a lot of extra credit that you can do at the end of the semester and also throughout the semester. The class decides when the due dates are for homework and exams. Majority wins
Sometimes he talks about off-topic things but most of them are useful.
Great teacher, it was my second time taking one of his classes and I have nothing to complain about. His class it pretty straight forward and if you do everything well and on time then you shouldn't have an issue in passing his class.
I love him so much
He is really a great professor, and teaches you very clearly. He is ready to help after class and is available outside class.Accounting seemed easier while he was teaching. Take his class you would love accounts. You just need to listen to his lectures And the lectures and enjoyable and hilarious.
Has many stories about his life, lets you control your grade. This Prof has a lot to offer.
Good professor. Lets you control the course.
Nontraditional style, which didn't work well with me. Teaches through videos, then goes over what people struggle with in class. A lot of practice through the online textbook. Choose your grade style, so if you struggle with tests, you can make the weight less than homework and attendance, and vice versa. Great teacher with a lot of experience.
This class was hybrid, so you had the ability to attend via zoom or in person. Teaching style was not the best for me, I prefer in person lectures.Professor uses McGraw Hill to do all assignments. Professor has us watch previous zoom classes and take notes and we then discuss what we did not understand in class. extra credit opportunities available
Kush Jenkins has a different style of how he teaches his class. He abides by a non traditional grading style, as well as using textbook to teach content and using real life applications during class time. Prepare for lots of lecturing, and watch out for the Principles of Accounting I Midterm.
For future students who may want to take this class, u should know that u pick your grading scale, within reason, there are a bunch of categories like exams, HW, quizzes, etc and you choose the percentage of what you want each to weigh for your final grade. We also watch Zoom lectures for HW, rarely in-class lectures more prax. Overall great prof!
Professor Jenkins is an excellent instructor who genuinely cares for his students. He offers extra credit opportunities to help his students succeed. However, I wish I had taken his class in person instead of online via Zoom. Additionally, he tends to grade assignments a bit late and sometimes doesn't respond promptly to emails.
Professor Jenkins is an amazing professor who cares for his students. He is homework heavy and a lot of the work does take up your time, but with good time management you should be good. His grading is straightforward and he offers extra credit which is always nice.
Dr. Jenkins was an amazing instructor and really cares about his students future. He does not accept late assignments so ensure you complete everything on time.
Professor Jenkins is awesome and cares about the success of his students. He offers his class the ability to chose assignment due dates and individualized grade weight, therefore he is strict about due dates. He does not accept late work, but has a few extra credit opportunities. Significant work load (hybrid class). Would take again!
Professor Jenkins is an excellent instructor who genuinely cares for his students. He offers extra credit opportunities to help his students succeed. Exams are easy if you study, also he will go over the study guide a week or two and let you know what questions will be in the exams.
The best professor I had in NOVA
Awesome professor. Assignments are easy to follow and complete on time.
Professor Jenkins is a great professor. Lectures are very interactive and are well-balanced between accounting material and real-world things. Get your work done well before the due date. Class is very autonomous, ask questions, and homework does take time, so get them done as soon as possible. Lectures are based on questions only.
Professor Jenkins is an amazing teacher. He is very patient and understanding with his students. He is very lenient with his students as well. The homework assignments are straight forward. As long as you pay attention and do your homework you will pass.
Great professor! He explains things in a complex way so sometimes I had to teach myself with the homework. We used connect and there were many assignments that take about an hour to complete each. His study guides are amazing and so helpful. He is also very caring.
Great professor! homework was on connect and there were many assignments that would take about an hour to two hours to complete. The study guides were amazing and so helpful.
Professor Jenkins was great! I took his online course this semester and really enjoyed it. His teaching style is very inclusive and he answers any questions you may have during lectures/outside of class. I would definitely recommend taking his class if 211 was difficult for you. He also offers extra credit multiple times throughout the semester.
Dr. Kush Jenkins is not only an excellent Professor, but an incredible mentor. You learn so much more in his class than what's outlined in the syllabus. Whether its about business, accounting, or life, each class is worth its weight!
kush Jenkins is an amazing professor. he wants you to pass his class. take him!!!!
Professor Jenkins engages with the students rather than reading off from ppt slides, this allows students to understand a course like accounting much better. His grading criteria are also extremely lenient, as he allows his students to choose their percentile. All due dates are also selected by the students themselves. I would recommend him.
Professor Jenkins leads an interesting course in accounting that is very deep and through. He will teach you that due dates are important. Overall he was a good professor.
Re-taking accounting 1 with Prof Jenkins really helped me understand it better than when I first took it. Just pay attention in class, try to take notes for class lectures a week before, and keep up with all due dates. If he says something is going to be on the exam, It's going to be on the exam! He literally makes sure you're prepared for success.
Professor Jenkins is an exceptional accounting educator whose experience and expertise set him apart. In class, he doesn't just teach; he mentors. His lectures are filled with practical wisdom gained from years in the field.
He was awesome! I also took his ACC 211 course and it was a bit more difficult than this one because of the criteria but overall was such a great professor because he walked us through it. There is a generous amount of homework and there is a strict late policy where he doesn't accept late work but all the homework is due in a timely manner.
I had Professor Kush Jenkins for Spring 2024 as an online class with weekly Zoom meetings and he is a great professor! He is funny, very informative, understanding, respectful of our time and commitments, gives great advice on how to go through life outside of college, and overall an upstanding guy.
Professor Kush Jenkins gave us plenty of time to complete assignments and he was helpful in learning the fundamentals of ACC 211.
Professor Jenkins Hybrid flex course was great. He has such a funny guy in class always making jokes and keeping class entertained. He did have a lot of homework/assignments but if you manage your time well you should be okay.
I took his online course, and his classes are interesting. This professor is very flexible, you'll have to buy the textbook. You will have a lot of assignments, and you'll have to do a lot of work outside the class, but this will help you to practice. The professor provides helpful study guides for the assignments and tests.
Maybe better in person. Ignored all emails I sent in Canvas/NVCC Gmail (4 in total), in one I was requesting an extension when a family member died suddenly. Comes across as semi-arrogant in an online class telling you to stay on top of work when he grades late/won't respond to emails. Poor/no feedback on HW & exams. Otherwise the course was okay!
Professor Jenkins provides you with all the information that you'll need to pass the exams. I was in his all-online class, where he assigned 3 assignments a week, which were all due on Monday. He posted a little meme for every event, like holidays and final day exams.
We did a lot of group work in class where we practiced doing the proper forms, I found this helpful. I struggled to get the pre-recorded lectures finished, they were very dense. I wish he would switch so that the live lectures were the more information-dense format. Otherwise, it was good, you should get an A if you do the homework.
I took this class as an asynchronous online course for the second half of the semester. In my experience, the class is pretty straight-forward, but you have to be on time with all your work, as there is no turning in late work under any circumstances.
Never written a review before, but he truly deserves it! If I could give him a 6 star, I would. Overall amazing professor, very funny and engaging lectures and TRULY caring about his students. One thing I wish I knew before taking this class is watching the recorded lectures is very helpful before diving deeper into the material in class.
I wish I had known that you need to dedicate many hours outside of class time to complete other assignments and you have to purchase McGraw Hill Connect to take exams.
This class is very easy if you keep up with your homework and smartbooks. He is helpful and allows you to decide how your work is graded.
Keep up with homework and discussions as the semester goes on. Professor Jenkins thoroughly explains each chapter and gives recordings. Easy to get an A if you keep up with the work.
There are a lot of discussions and homework but they are straightforward. He includes study guides for the exams and if you practice the worksheets, the exams are pretty easy. Also, there are many extra credits, so if you do the assignments well, you will definitely get an A.
Would definitely take again.
He was a good professor. I took his summer class and he was very accommodating. Attendance isn't necessary but it can add as extra credit. The textbook is $200 which sucked. You might also have to turn your camera on during class, and he calls on you during class to answer questions.
You have to buy a textbook which was expensive, but theres a free trial for like 2 weeks so I completed all the assignments in the two weeks so I would not have to pay. He takes a while to reply to emails too. But overall easy class.
Professor Kush is the best! You chose how much you can grade yourself.. He a lot loves talking about accounting and actually explains things to make sense. Accounting is difficult but he makes it easy! Took him for both acc 1 and 2!
Professor Jenkins is not only funny but he gives you all the material you need. I took his class last semester and I chose this course specifically because it was taught by him. He gives everyone motivation and makes jokes every week. He made a YouTube channel as well. Overall a great professor!
Clear and straightforward teaching style, but does not play about due dates! So be sure to complete assignments on time. The workload was a bit heavy due to the compressed nature of the course, but Professor Jenkins' structured approach and clear instructions made it manageable. Also, beware of dry jokes...
Professor Jenkins is great! The course itself, is okay. Accounting is just inherently super hard and be very weary of the accelerated courses. He sends lots of funny announcements which helps. Be mindful of getting assignments in on time because he won't accept latework, but does give students a full week to finish. Its on McGraw hill.
There are only 2 BIG exams, if you miss one, you won't pass. He does not tolerate late work. Your grade is mostly made up of weekly homework assignments, if you start missing some here and there, it will add up. He gives many extra credit opportunities, take them! Textbook reading is a MUST. He is fair, if you fail, it's likely you procrastinating
I took a fast paced, online course with this professor. Make sure you pay attention on the homework assignments and he provides extra credit, which helps boost your grade. He has dry humor so don't take his funny comments too seriously. Would recommend him if you want to understand accounting!
Very easy to read and go through assignments. Lectures are easy to understand, and it makes the actual work really easy to go through.
Professor provides great lectures for each chapter. These were very helpful to get through the course. I took an accelerated course, it is a bit difficult and the assignments can be time consuming for some chapters. Two major exams and extra credit provided. You will need to stay on top of your assignments. No late work.
This professor is good and the class is relatively easy, if you do the work and study it is a good grade guaranteed.
easy to get a hold of, and provides grade check ins throughout the semester.
He was okay, He doesn't take late work at all no matter what.
His lectures was very easy to follow but you have to read book as well. Lots of homework but that helped for the 4 exams. definitely want to take his class again. His YouTube videos were very helpful for exams too.
Professor Jenkins is fantastic! Be prepared to do plenty of assignments throughout the week (or clump them up into 2-3 days). The assignments may be time-consuming, but they are not too difficult. Professor Jenkins also gives plenty of extra credit, so don't worry if you miss an assignment or two. Overall, great teacher.
Dr Jenkins is great. He is very funny and tells dry jokes. Gives extra credit. His exams are not difficult if you study and watch his videos lectures. Make sure to submit your work on time no late work. Assignments are time consuming but useful and feel like hands on learning. Accounting is no joke so be ready to read a lot.
He assigns a lot of work, and any late assignments recieve zeros. He has a YouTube channel where he posts lectures for every chapter (super helpful). He gave a few extra credit opportunities during the end of the class that werent very hard. When I reached out to him with a question he responded quickly. Fun fact: he likes to tell jokes.
Professor Kush Jenkins is passionate about his teaching, and it shows in his announcements and responses to assignments. He can be unresponsive to emails, which was the only shortcoming in his class. There are plenty of extra credit opportunities, so getting anything less than an A is only possibly if you miss out on assignments or exams.
Assignments clear instructions on hw and what is expected in class. Grades fairly quickly and is pretty accessible. He tells a lot of jokes I would definitely recommend taking his online courses.
The professor makes the class enjoyable with their humor, while also providing all the necessary materials. Staying on top of the work is key to doing well. Overall, a solid choice for an accounting course.
Professor Jenkins is an entertaining and accommodating instructor. His lectures are informative, and he provides helpful resources like recorded videos. Completing the assignments diligently can lead to a good grade. unstuckstudy ai is a great tool to supplement your study efforts.
The class is pretty straightforward. Do the assignments based on the due dates and manage your time wisely, he's not a tough grader so just don't slack and you really are the master of your own success in this class.
The professor was clear on his expectations for the class and conveyed information effectively. He gives alot of busy work and tells lots of dry jokes but overall is a good professor!
There is a lot of reading involved and lots of homework. However, as long as you manage your time appropriately this should be an easy pass. Professor Jenkins is clear and transparent, and actively communicates with his students. I recommend taking him as a professor.
Professor Jenkins is someone who you can tell cares about his work. He always sends out encouragement for his students and offers extra credit to those who need it. There is a good amount of work in this course, but that is suspected as it is an introductory course. The work load is manageable though, just don't wait until the last day to start.
Professor Jenkins is a great professor! He is a great communicator, and gives clear instructions and expectations. His class was well organized and as long as you don't slack off it is manageable. Warning! He tells a lot of jokes! I look forward to my next few classes with him.
Great professor, very kind, class was super easy it was bacicly all connect assignments and a few discussions highly recommend
Doesn't respond to emails, some assignments don't have due dates which is confusing & uses mcgraw hill which sucks but besides that he's good, quizzes and exams aren't too hard.
A LOT of mcgraw hill, quizzes and tests aren't too hard.
Almost all of the assignments are on McGrawHill. Homework and quizzes are pretty easy to complete as long as long you don't complete them last minute. Gives clear instructions and is well organized. I recommend to not procrastinate. Heads up, he tells a lot of jokes!
Professor offered wonderful opportunities for extra credit and attached helpful videos to each lesson. It was difficult to get a hold of him throughout my semester and that would be why I rated him "good," and not "great". I had a hard time getting responses from him via email.
Pretty good teacher, told jokes throughout, homework was fairly easy, tests were great as well as they related to the assignments given. Overall, class was great. He was hard to get a hold of though, which is the only reason I gave a 4/5. Although class is easy, I wouldn't recommend it for those who procrastinate, as it's very easy to fall behind.
he is a nice professor, gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit, I took the class online, and everything was clear and organized.
Dr. Kush Jenkins was amazing, His grading was on time, and everything is organized and easy to find in canvas. He doesn't do late work so make sure you turn in everything ON TIME. I would recommend Dr. Kush just watch out for his jokes they're super funny (very dry) hahah.
Professor Jenkins is a great professor, he uses a lot of corny jokes but he keeps the class interesting instead of making the work the main priority. i have never seen a professor care so much about his students and check in on them almost everyday! so if you want a teacher who actually cares about his students i would recommend taking him.
Professor Jenkins is a great professor, and he also tells dry jokes. I took Acc211, and there were a lot of assignments, but he gives extra credit at the end of the semester. I would take his class again.
Professor Kush provided a well-structured and manageable workload throughout the week. The course included multiple McGraw-Hill assignments, such as the concept book, SmartBook activities, and homework tasks, all of which were clear and effective for learning. Additionally, the case study discussions were straightforward and easy to follow.
While this was an online class my experiences with Professor Jenkins seem to all around pretty friendly. The work expectations were straight forward although repetitive. I took a 7 week class, paired with my 30 hour work week this was TIME consuming. Definitely recommend the 15/13 week for ACC211.
I did the online version of ACC 211 and can say that this class has a lot of reading. Be prepared to complete 2-3 chapters plus 3 sets of homework for each chapter every week. Professor could be better at communicating so don't wait until last minute to ask questions about anything. Overall a good class if you are able to self-taught.
ACC 211 is not very difficult, but it takes time and focus. Professor Jenkins loves to tell dry jokes, quite often. I mean it. All in all I am satisfied with the course and professor and I definitely recommend.
Basically, if you do the video questions, smart book, and homework on time and actually learn the content, then this will be an easy A while also learning some valuable skills. Its basic math on top of learning some formulas and methods, no late work tho so if you're a procrastinator then go for another professor or stop being a lazy ponk idk
Kush Jenkins was a humorous professor for sure. No matter what mood you are in, he will make you laugh at some point in class, unless you have no sense of humor. He wants you to be there every class, and there is an attendance grade. There is also no late work so make sure you have time to fit in about 2-3 hours of workload per week.
He is no nonsense about late submissions but he will present you with extra credit opportunities as well as the ability to customize your own syllabus. The work load is a bit much at times but it is manageable if you stay on top of it. If you want someone who actually cares and wants to see you well please take him. ATTENDANCE IS GRADED
This class was hard for sure. But the professor offers recorded reviews before every exam and they help a lot. He is actually great. If you do all the assignments you will do good.
I wish I knew there was going to be so much down time during this class, I choose the in person model twice a week to be able to learn during this time but most of the learning is done online and on your own. Lots of homework and practice for exams which are very helpful, DO use the hint function while completing homework and text review.
I feel I learned more from works outside of class like Study Guides and Homework rather than Lectures themselves, although this is partly my fault for slumbering during Lectures at times, Professor Jenkins has earned my respect for how understanding he is and how he's always willing to help you, be aware this class is a good time commitment.
Dr.Jenkins values an interactive classroom, that is his style of instruction. The more active you are and the more you ask questions the better. He will answer each and every question.
Professor Kush is great, he is very caring and passionate about his job. Homework assignments are long, it will take you a long time to do it but it is worth it since it prepares you for tests. If you take him, make sure you listen when he says something is important because you will use it at some point. He is funny and classes are entertaining.
Dr. Kush is an amazing teacher he has earned my respect for how intelligent and a great person he is. The class itself can be a handful, but nothing that can't be managed. I enjoyed it and locked in with the knowledge and wisdom we learn after and before lessons. It was great , I recommend him, and I will be taking him again next semester.
Dr. Kush is an unorthodox professor. This is the only way I can accurately describe him. He is very knowledgeable in his expertise, and enjoys the work he does. Dr. Kush is infamous for his stories and pieces of life advice. The homework for accounting can be overwhelming, but Kush is sure to help you manage the load. Be prepared for tricks!
Professor Jenkins is an expert at accounting. I would definitely recommend taking his class because you leave knowing at least one more thing about Accounting. Although there is a lot of homework, he also gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities. As long as you submit all your work on time for this class, you should be fine.
This class was probably one of the best classes I've ever taken. Professor Jenkins uses his personal experiences to help you better understand the topics. He always is telling some interesting story's from his past. Would highly recommend this course for anyone.
Professor Kush is a great teacher, especially in the early chapters, where his explanations were clear and engaging. However, later in the semester, he spent too much time on personal stories, leaving little time for more complex material, which he rushed through at the end. He's a fair grader and can be funny at times.
One of my favorite professors I've taken at NVCC. Someone you can tell genuinely cares about his students and knows a TON about what he's talking about. He is extremely well-versed in the accounting world and knowledgeable about anything you might ask him. I will be taking accounting 212 with him and I'm very much looking forward to it.
Very easy going professor, gives extra credit opportunities. As long as you keep up with the simple weekly HW assignment and study for the exams you should be good.
Professor Kush is a great instructor, he genuinely cares about his students and wants them to do great. The homework can be a lot sometimes but, turn it in on time and you should be fine. Be ready for some tricks he might pull! He gives out extra credit so make to hop on that. If you like personal stories from professors, this class is for you.
Prof Jenkins is such a great person and teacher. This is my second time taking him for ACC 212. He's very lenient and patient. He cares about ALL his students. Go take his class!!!
Professor Jenkins is very fun and comprehensive. You do have to do homework to do good in the class and pay attention but besides that he makes it too easy to learn. I would definitely take him again!
He spends a lot of time talking about random life things during lecture, but is overall a good professor. Would take him again!
professor Jenkins is one of a kind. I took him for both accounting 211 and 212. I definitely recommend him to every student that goes through Northern Virginia community college. He is a great man and will teach you so much more beyond accounting, especially favor when he relates his teachings to the real world and encourage he does it more.
Great accounting class. Excellent professor, very personable. Fun and interesting lectures. Course is very straightforward. As long as you do the work and study you'll easily get an A.
Professor had an easy-going class, some of the topics were difficult however there were multiple extra credit opportunities to make it back.
Dr. Jenkins is AWESOME! I took him for both ACC 211 and 212 and I would recommend him to any NOVA student. His class is fun, his grading policy is fair, and you can excel in his class with a little bit of effort. I highly respect Dr. Jenkins and believe he is one of the best professors at the Loudoun campus.
Dr. Jenkins is understanding and wants you to succeed.
He's genuinely a great guy and wants the best for his students. The workload can be heavy but if you stay on top of it, it's manageable. There are also Lots of extra credit opportunities and tests were pretty straightforward. But tbh, I felt that some of the lectures weren't covered thoroughly so I had to do a lot of learning on my own.
His approach is very methodical. He doesn't push too much too fast on the class. He puts everyone in a spot to be successful. Great teacher to have to introduce you to a potential new career field.
I wish RMP had a bigger character limit. If there's an open slot in one of Dr. Jenkin's courses, ENROLL ASAP. The overall amount of assignments each week was very easy to manage. He provides prerecorded lectures for each exam that cover all questions, and he allows one sheet of notes. Dr. Jenkins has over 900 five-star reviews for a reason.
Sometimes hard to understand
Great and funny professor
Honestly a great professor. He is very clear in his expectations and his way of teaching. He assigns a lot of homework each week, but most of it isn't too long. His exams aren't too hard as he allows a cheat sheet of paper, and exams are almost identical to the practice exams. I will be taking him again for ACC212.
This class was overall very well taught, I do however want to say those who are taking him for the first time definitely do understand that his grading system depends on how you would like to be graded, it has it's advantages so definitely be aware that it can be used beneficially. Extra credit is offered many times fyi do them for free points.
He is a great professor, he teaches well he make sure students understand. He goes overall every assignment and exam give a lot practice. During the examiner there a video record.
Dr. Jenkins is very knowledgeable in the subject matter and I much preferred his lectures over the book audio. I went into the class with the hopes of grasping basic accounting principles which I definitely got. I did end up changing majors and not needing the class for my major but it was still good information to know for life as well.
If you need to take accounting but don't want to do it the traditional way, then I suggest taking Kush Jenkins. He is funny and informative, and he is surprisingly super lenient on a lot of things indirectly. I think he is a great teacher, but you need to pull your weight.
Very great professor. He makes the class fun and interesting. He teaches well and is very knowledgeable of the subject matter. Videos are recorded before taking the tests which helps a lot. Lots of extra credit opportunities are given. Overall he is a great professor and definitely recommend to anyone that is planning on taking Accounting.
I took professor Jenkins' online ACC 211 class and was happy I did. He created an amazing environment and a very simple Canvas setup that was easy to follow. I enrolled in the 7 week course and while the course load was heavy, I never found it overwhelming because of all the tools he provided for success. I am taking his class again next semester
Prof. Kush Jenkins is a knowledgeable instructor who clearly expects a lot from their students. The coursework is challenging and requires significant critical thinking. Be prepared for a heavy reading. While the assignments are well-structured, they can be time-consuming. If you're willing to put in the effort, you'll learn a lot from this class.
Professor Jenkins is a great professor. He is highly knowledgeable and his lectures are very informative. He does give out A LOT of homework, expect 3-4 hours a week of assignments. The midterm is very long. He does offer several extra credit opportunities, and the class is dictated by the students, including grading.
Dr Kush is a very passionate teacher but he can get a bit off track when lecturing sometimes. The first half is in-person lecture and practice heavy but the second half is online lecture heavy. He gives a regular amount of homework but they are pretty long. He also provides a handful of extra credit activities. Overall a great class.
Professor Jenkins is easygoing, and very talkative. His class is McGraw Hill heavy. His lectures tend to get sidetracked, but this shouldn't be an issue as long as you stay on top of your work.
Professor Jenkins is easygoing, and very talkative. His class is McGraw Hill heavy. His lectures tend to get sidetracked, but this shouldn't be an issue as long as you stay on top of your homework.
Professor Jenkins is kind but straightforward. He gives a lot of homework, but if you manage your time, you'll be able to complete them. The homework is done through McGraw-Hill Connect, so if you want to complete it before the due dates, you can. Also, he provided several opportunities for extra credit. Overall, he was a great teacher.
Prof. Jenkins is a decent teacher. He doesn't allow late work and assigns a lot of homework. However, the extra credit he offers seems to make up for that. The lectures can be a little frustrating when he gets sidetracked by a story.
Professor Jenkins is a very knowledgeable and caring professor. He knows what he is talking about, but he does get a little sidetracked during some classes telling us stories. He is very helpful when answering what exactly needs to be done for homeworks. Overall, I would take him again.
Dr. Jenkins is passionate and very talkative. Sometimes he gets sidetracked in class and goes on tangents about different subjects which can be frustrating. At times there is a lot of work to do each week, and it is time-consuming, good time management is needed. Exams are practically identical to study guide; a sheet is allowed. Taking 212 w/ Dr.J
Professor Jenkins is an excellent professor, and I highly recommend him for ACC212. His lectures are informative and he shows true compassion and care for his student's success. He outlines everything perfectly and what to expect on the tests.
There is a lot of homework, but this course should be easy if you complete all the assignments. Professor Jenkins is not lenient in giving spare time for late work; however, some of my late McGraw Hill homework did get automatically graded. He is helpful and responsive to emails. I am planning to take ACC 212 with Professor Jenkins again.
hes a good prof he just gives alot of hw and takes a while to respond to emails
He's a very easy going professor, will give you opportunity for extra credits. The grades you get is decided by you, he gives a syllabus in the beginning where you can pick what grades matter most. highly recrecommend!!
Prok Jenkins is honestly one of the best professors I have ever had. He's so incredibly knowledgeable about accounting and super kind to everyone. He's makes lectures entertaining and exciting!
Dr. Jenkins was not hard, but he did assign a lot of homework. The homework was not bad, just time-consuming.
Kush Jenkins is a very easy-going professor. He lets us decide how we want to be graded and he lets us dictate what concepts we should cover in class. Also, I appreciate the extra credits he offers. I highly recommend taking him for accounting, I will be taking him for 212!
Professor Jenkins was very caring and fun. Some of the work was hard, and the exams were a bit challenging, but he was always there if you needed help. He definitely knew what he was talking about and really enjoys teaching. Overall, I would recommend him to other students.
ight lemme keep it a buck. The semester hasn't ended yet and lowkey I think I failed his class. All that being said, this guy is amazing. He's funny as a mf, he's good at teaching, and his approach is amazing. Couple things tho, he yaps a lot, I fw it tho, his stories are amazing and truly inspirational, but he should teach more. i barely know jack
Lots of homework over McGraw Hill and four exams (including midterm and final) but Dr. Kush is clear with his grading criteria and expectations. His lectures can derail to random topics but when accounting is focused on, he is a great teacher. Make sure to not fall behind on the homework, it's very time-consuming.
The smartbook assignments are a major time sink, so be prepared to spend lots of time working on your computer. But the expectations are clear and the grading is fair. Overall, would probably try a different professor next time, hoping for less work.
Great professor 10/10!
The class was asynchronous and therefore largely self taught but very easy if you do all the assignments and read the textbook a little.
Professor Jenkins is an amazing professor. His lectures are very informative and he sets his class up in a way where it is completely dictated by the students. Professor Jenkins loves to share jokes and laughs with the class and I would 100% recommend him.
good professor.
Accounting class will be long but he will tell stories in class because he knows the human brain can only focus for 45minutes, because of that study he will tell stories that won't be remotely related to accounting but just for fun.
Dr. Jenkins is a great human being and his knowledge is amazing. He is willing to explain things repeatedly until we understand. His sense of humor is unbelievable, you will never get bored. This course was hard, but it was worthed with an instructor like him.
Dr. Jenkins is a wonderful professor and I cannot recommend him enough. He is very knowledgeable in his field and really knows what he's talking about. There is a lot of homework in this class but the work is EXACTLY what the exams are on so it's worth it. If you do the homework it is literally impossible to fail! Lots of extra credit offered too!
Professor Jenkins is a great professor! He's super nice, flexible with deadlines, and really respects his students. I loved how he brought his experience into the lessons. He doesn't just focus on boring numbers but encourages us to think critically which made the class pretty enjoyable. I truly learned a lot and wish him nothing but the best!
He doesn't take late work but if you tell him you have something going on beforehand, he'll probably give you an extension like he once did for me.
this class goes by so quick it's so hard. the professor does not reply to his emails at all and he's not really good at explaining stuff. he kind of gets annoyed if you ask questions which is really annoying. in class he just goes over the discussions we had but other than that he doesn't really teach good. I would not take this professor again.
He is a good professor, gives you chances for extra credit. He does not accept late work. There is a lot off material to go over. His study guides are very helpful when it comes time to take your exams.
Professor Jenkins was good, he gives extra credit near the end of the corse which is helpful. Overall, pretty easy class just stay on top of your work and you'll be fine.
I took both Accounting with Dr. Jenkins, and it was a fantastic experience. Very approachable professor who allows us to choose how we want to be graded. He also offers extra credit. If you complete your homework on time and review his prerecorded exam reviews, you will do well. He genuinely does everything possible to help his students succeed.
Professor Jenkins was good, he gives extra credit near the end of the course which is helpful. Overall, pretty easy class just stay on top of your work and you'll be fine.
Exams are not difficult if you follow study guides. He gives extra credit.
Great professor funny and interesting lectures
Professor Jenkins is a great professor. He's really chill and runs his course really smoothly. His lectures aren't long and boring; they're informative and help a lot. Just keep up with your work, and you'll be fine. He has quizzes and homework every week. Gives good advice! I would recommend.
One of the few Professors where I was looking forward to listen to them speak for over an hour. I definitely recommend this Professor.
Kush Jenkins is the perfect professor for Accounting 212: clear, entertaining lecture style, lots of illustrative examples which make difficult stuff understandable. He is approachable and shows great concern for his students' success; all these things make his class challenging and rewarding at the same time.
Dr. Jenkins is a great professor. He's really chill and runs his course really smoothly. His lectures aren't long and boring; they're informative and help a lot. Just keep up with your work, and you'll be fine. He has quizzes and homework every week. Gives good advice! I would recommend.
Professor Jenkins was great! I enjoyed his lectures, but sometimes I wouldn't understand the examples given in class considering he would compare some topics to his personal life and not much about his professional life.
great teacher, loads of homework
great course
I loved his class, and he made it pretty fun. does get carried away most of the time, but it's fun.
Prof K was a great teacher. He had his class organized in a unique way. Students were able to choose what %of their grade each assignment is worth. Before starting the class I wish I knew that attendance is important. I had attended every single class up until the very last few, and then missing 1 brought my attendance grade down from a 100 to 89.
This was a great class definitely make sure to pay attention I learned a lot of new things and it's was interesting I would definitely take the professors class again
I took this class over seven weeks; the workload was about two chapters per week. This class uses McGrawHill; there are two or three exams external to the platform that the professor makes himself; they are relevant to the readings. The professor sends out reminders to complete work and motivational messages. A very kind and bright person.
This was one of the best courses I've ever taken. The workload is heavy, but I believe it is to be expected from a 7-week class. He does provide extra credit, reminders, and ensures you are in good standing with the class.
If you're the type to check your grade daily, I wouldn't recommend it because sometimes the course might add some random assignment that'll drop your grade from an A to a D. It's all good, though, because your grade will fix itself later on. The Professor is a pretty funny guy. He LOVES cracking jokes in the announcements. He loves Snoopy gifs.
Great professor and lots of announcements and reminders. Def recommend this class and professor!
narcissistic. doesn't know how to teach and is obsessed with talking about himself. exams are worth everything so fail one and you're done. good luck teaching yourself with this "professor"
A clear class structure is provided, and there is a consistent flow to the class, so it is easy to incorporate into a schedule once you're established. Kush does a great job and is extremely knowledgeable.
Before taking this course with Dr. Kush, I was apprehensive, having studied Principles of Accounting 211 a year ago. However, his supportive teaching style encourages questions and clarity. By staying engaged, taking notes, and actively participating, students can confidently master the material and succeed.
Professor/Dr.Jenkins's classes are very straightforward. As long as you do the work (on time) you will be successful in this class. He is also very open to answering any questions students may have about the subject. He expresses care for his students and shares a lot of personal anecdotes. He also offers a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Gets off topic sometimes but overall good professor, especially for a somewhat complicated topic
I myself loved this Professor as it's clear from his demenor alone that he cares, however, expect most of your learning to occur via the homework and study guides rather than the Lectures. It seems Professor Jenkins sometimes goes off topic and the way he explains some concepts are confusing at times and it's hard to keep up.
he is a great professor but make sure to study good because there are a lot of assignments
All assignments have "real" due dates. Professor Jenkins is tripping on due dates and tells dry jokes. Study the material and you will be okay. His grading isn't tough. You just need to do the assignments on time and prepare for the exams. There are 2 proctored exams.
Great Professor, he's very helpful when it comes to preparing for exams!
Professor provided positive space to ask questions and made learning accounting enjoyable. He also made sure students were aware of his availability for questions outside of classroom.
I really enjoyed this class. It was fully online for me but he was always at reach when I needed something. Assignments are the same layout for each module so you know what to expect. I think this class was easy as long as you are consistent, really pay attention to the material , AND TURN EVERYTHING ON TIME. I am definetly taking him for ACC212.
Overall the course was good. There are two proctored exams. Mainly McGraw Hill was just homework and smartbook which takes time but overall wasn't that bad.
The professor is very caring and intentional, he truly enjoys teaching the class and wants the better the young scholars in his class. For this class asking questions and engaging in the conversations will make the content more understandable, the professor is more than willing to help make sure you understand what's being discussed.
Professor Jenkins is wonderful and is responsive via email. He believes that in business you can't show up late and unprepared, so do the work and do it on time. Do just that and you will be successful in his class. There are weekly assignments and four exams (two are proctored). He offers extra credit opportunities towards the end of the course.
Professor jenkins is a pretty cool guy who can say some really inspirational stuff sometimes. I want future students to know that there will be a lot of homework but the class isn't too bad because of the extra credit and the cool teacher.
The professor cares about his students. He will drop your lowest grade, so there is room for a mistake, but that doesn't mean you can coast your way through the course. Not regular due dates for HW, so make sure you are on top of it, but HW isn't heavily weighted.
Professor Jenkins teaching style is casual. Classes consist of a lecture on that weeks chapter, and answering any questions on homework. When an exam is coming up, he provides an accurate study guide, and goes over it in class. This class is easy as long as you do your homework on time and pay attention to lectures when you need to.
The best professor ever!
He is an amazing professor, and he is super funny, makes learning accounting way more fun than you would expect. My advice to new students is used the McGraw-Hill study guides he formats the test based on the study guides.
I would say Dr. Kush Jenkins is an excellent professor. His lectures get straight to the heart of the material/what's needed for exams, even when straying from accounting he always includes meaningful discussion topics. As long as you legitimately work, try, and listen to what he says during lectures, you should have no issues.
Professor Jenkins teaches the class well and cares for his students. His assignments cover all of the material well and the exams are doable. Definitely recommend taking him!
silly but classes kinda boring but easier than expected
The professor is generally good on most accounts. Expect some tangents in the lectures where you are wondering why we are talking about the tangent. Assignment of work can be a bit ebb and flow where you end up with a lot to do all of a sudden.
Professor Jenkins has great lectures along with his humor makes the class very engaging. Aside from heavy workload (which is expected since it helps you to keep up from the course), eveything about the class is great. Highly recommend if you want to learn and get something out of the class.
Caring professor and truly knowledgeable about accounting. His lectures are fun to watch!
Course is a bit disorganized, some assignments don't have due dates yet you're expected to know when to complete them, and if you're late it's taken from your grade. Motivaitional and funny announcements though.
due dates will not be altered even if the assignment didn't appear on your calendar, homework takes a while and is quite difficult, but the announcements are motivational and funny.
Gives you everything you need for your exams, PLEASE attend his lecture reviewing the study guide for exams and you are all set!! Dr.Kush is a great professor, very knowledgeable in his field. PLEASE do your assignments even if he doesn't assign them!! Sometimes he forgets to assign the HW for the week and they end up piling up for the students.
Overall is a great professor, make sure you keep up with the homework assignments. If you do not keep up with the homework, it will pile up very quickly. Make sure to do the study guides as they are very important for the exam's.
Funny, laidback professor. Very professional and informative. Would love to have him again!
Kush can ramble during lectures, so be ready to teach yourself the content. Lots of homework, but the tests are easy if you follow the study guides. Extra credit opportunities. Kush is overall a friendly, funny person. The lectures can be unproductive, but entertaining.
Dr. Kush Jenkins has good lectures and sends weekly emails with updates and upcoming deadlines. Since I took the class online, a lot of the learning and assignments were through McGraw-Hill Connect. He was helpful with due dates on some assignments that had not been correctly integrated into Canvas.
Before going into this class I wish I knew how much how much I would need to think critically. It was a lot harder in the beginning of the semester than at the end. A lot of the people in my class dropped it midway through the semester, but he made the class a little bit easier after the mid term for those of us who were still there.
Great professor that makes class interesting through his personality.
I wish I would've known that there were no due dates before exams they were after.
Take him! He takes time sometimes to reply to emails but overall not a bad professor ! Easy A
Incredible professor. One of my highlights of going to NVCC. Lots of homework really is the only downside, but if you can take this professor, do it!!
Pay attention at the beginning and the rest of the course will make sense. Talk to Professor Jenkins! Make a connection because he has valuable life lessons!
Good Professor. Due dates matter.
There are a fair number of homework assignments, all of which are due on Mondays. The overall difficulty of the course is not high as long as you do the homework. Dr. Jenkins makes it very clear that he does not accept late work, so don't wait until the last moment to do work. -J.K
Kush Jenkins is honestly the best professor you can take at NOVA for accounting 212. I didn't take him for financial accounting which is the harder class but for managerial accounting, take the hyflex class! It is optional to go in person, if you don't want to you can go over zoom. The tests are fully online and proctored but with few questions.
Interesting discussions and fair grading
I took Accounting II with Dr. Jenkins this semester, after also taking Accounting I with him last semester. I love his teaching style. He is very engaging with his class. I think he does an awesome at getting his students prepared to learn the material, and test well on the material. I would highly recommend to anyone.
professor Kush makes learning exciting and truly cares about helping students succeed
He overshares, changes due dates without notification, cancels class abruptly, and is unbelievably confusing. He goes off on tangents of personal stories and makes mistakes with grading. I wanted to drop the class multiple times because it was so confusing. He is very funny and seems like a nice person, but is a very disorganized instructor.
Great professor! Lectures can go off-topic but are easy to follow and on YouTube. Tests are easy as long as you do the homework and study guides (easy A.) Lots of discussion boards but they're notes of the lectures. Offers extra credit as well.
Dr. Kush Jenkins focuses on the important aspects of accounting and cares about his students. Classes are fast paced, and homework is given before every exam week, so it stacks up (3-4 per chapter) including discussion boards. Assignments are on McGraw Hill with access to the paid online textbook (hints are useful). Attend and do the work to pass.
This is a good class to take in summer. I took the 8-week class, and as long as you actually watch the lectures and understand the material, you will do good on all 4 tests. Each chapter (lecture video, homework, quiz, smart book) takes roughly 2-3 hours and you have one/two due each week. Overall, his lectures are very helpful! Uses McGraw Hill
I've taken a few classes with Mr. Jenkins for my Accounting credits, and each one has been a breeze to get through. You're still learning of course, but it isn't too hard on you that you will be struggling for days on a certain problem. It's well organized, and you can complete all the weekly assignment sets easily days before an exam.
I have taken Mr. Jenkins for a few of my credited courses, and each time has been a breeze. Everything is well organized, and you can complete your weekly assignment sets days before an upcoming exam. Once you get into the rhythm of it, it become very easy to follow.
I was enrolled asynchronously in ACC 212. I really enjoyed his access to a variety of extra resources, since we did not have scheduled instruction time. He uploads good work to YouTube, and makes the class feel comfortable in learning harder material. All assignments have real due dates, but he gives plenty of time to get the work done.
Class is well organized and clearly laid out for you in the beginning. The proctored exams are worth a lot of your grade but professor Jenkins helps you focus your studying and gives helpful partial credit. The class is also at your own pace if you want to get ahead and finish early.
Professor Jenkins cares about his students' success, so never be afraid to contact him! I have no idea what people are saying about "fake" dates, but everything was very well organized and I got everything submitted on each due date correctly. He tries to brighten your date with some jokes. His YouTube videos help grasp an understanding on material
I took professor jenkins class as an asynchronous online class. It was very clear what was expected each week. He sent weekly reminders on what needed to get done to pass the class. It was very clear that he wanted his students to succeed in this class. He also has a very dry sense of humor (he likes to make jokes in his annoucements).
I enjoyed taking my course with professor Jenkins. He was transparent with what work was to be expected and grading. I would definitely take his class again. Also gave extra credit opportunities!
Professor Jenkins believes that in business you can't show up late and unprepared, so do the work and do it on time - no late work accepted. There are weekly assignments that aren't too bad, and four exams that are worth a lot. Tests have multiple choice and problems that can be hard but if you show your work, you can get partial credit.
he is very clear about what he wants you do for each week. he is very big of due dates and sends out reminders each week of what he wants you to do.
Took this class over the summer and taking the class with Dr. Jenkins was very rewarding! He sets STRICT deadlines with about 4 chapters of homework assignments a week with a no late work policy. He also makes a lot of dry jokes, which works to keep me motivated. There were also two proctored exams which weren't difficult. Overall, would recommend!
The professor is kind and thoughtful of students. Communication via canvas was really the only issue I had in this course which makes it difficult because there is a lot of work to do for this class.
He is an excellent professor who fosters a friendly learning environment and consistently reminds students of upcoming due dates.
He is very good and to the point, I like his sense of humor. But do not be late on assignments, because he will not accept a late grade normally. He does give extra credit which is great.
Professor Jenkins sends out good announcements that keep you updated on the course which is helpful. All assignments are visible along with due dates at the start of the semester and make the work load easier to plan for.
Great professor all around! Would consistently send reminders on canvas and was very clear about due dates and what is expected from the course
Due dates matter.
Great teacher all around! Great lectures on YouTube and sends nightly announcements. Would highly recommend, beware of the amount of coursework though.
All assignments have clear due dates, but he gives you about a week to complete them. Tells a lot of jokes. Great course!
Super funny guy, great humor. Lots of homework with strict due dates.
Great teacher all around! Good lectures on YouTube and sends nightly announcements. Would highly recommend, beware the amount of coursework and jokes.
Dr. Jenkins is a personable professor who makes plenty of jokes. He gave plenty of homework and assignments to prepare you for exams. He is great with communication as well as providing extra help if you need it. My one critique I would say is it takes him a little longer to grade than I'd like.
Professor Jenkins is a very accessible and active participant in the class. He sends weekly announcements and tells jokes. Make sure to set aside a good amount of time for this class, as there is a lot of homework and information.
Professor Jenkins is organized and fair, but the due dates are very real—no late work accepted. Stay on top of everything! Assignments are useful and tied to real-world topics. Also, beware: his jokes are extremely dry. Like desert-dry. Funny... eventually. 😂 Great class if you keep up!
Professor Jenkins is a great teacher, and I'm happy I chose to join his class. He tries to help his students, delivering very thorough lectures. These lectures are far from boring; he always adds a couple of dry jokes every few minutes to keep things fun. Just don't slack off in his class, because his due dates are very real.
Good professor laid back and is funny with his dry jokes
Really great class and the lectures were really interesting. Just be aware that if you take a 7-8 week class there will be a minimum of 6 assignments per week but overall they weren't too bad.
He's always willing to help and makes expectations clear, just be ready for lots of homework and strict due dates if you are taking the seven week session. He does give a lot of extra credit too.
I took an async accounting class he taught over the summer. The material was fairly dry (it's accounting), but Professor Jenkins was able to make the class enjoyable thanks to his sense of humor. Very clear grading requirements, and he was also quite generous in terms of extra credit. 10/10, no complaints.
Great professor strict deadlines.
The work is not easy but manageable . Does not play about deadlines. Everything is pretty straight forward definitely would take again
Dr. Kush Jenkins had a clear outline for grading and did not accept late work. Despite this, he made a constant effort to encourage students throughout the course period and even provided extra credit opportunities. Workload may be a bit overwhelming at first, especially if it's your first time taking accounting.
Professor Jenkins does not play when it comes to turning things in on time. No late work. Be prepared for some of the driest humor known to mankind. The class is pretty straightforward: homework, concept videos, quizzes, and exams. The exams are much easier than the homework. Overall, a good class for credit if you are not required to take it.
Dr. Jenkins is amazing Professor. Make sure you show respect to due date and do your assignments on time. You have a lot of homework which will help you to learn accounting. He send you jokes and funny quotes throughout the semester. Also you have chance of extra credits. Good luck :)
Okay professor takes a min to respond to emails
6 Week Online Summer Course 99% of work is done in McGraw Hill, not to hard but time consuming 2 Proctored Exams which are fair, I can tell he cares because he posts cool announcements There is some extra credit opportunity He DOES NOT respond to emails
The professor frequently arrives late to class and often doesn't show up at all. Emails go unanswered, and there's no feedback provided when we reach out. Announcements are unclear or missing, and we're left guessing whether class will happen or what to prepare for. It's been difficult to stay engaged and organized without reliable guidance.
He was very caring and he makes sure that you can understand. He challenges you and motivates you to do better.
Class is easy, just have the practice exam guides. McGrawHill is annoying and the assignments in the system are rough imho. I wish I had know that the layout of McGrawHill wasn't super user friendly when it comes to an overload of information.
The class is an easy A as long as you stay on top of your work and complete the extra credit assignments. There are plenty of opportunities for extra credit. The tests are fairly easy, though some questions may seem to have two possible answers. The exams can be a bit challenging, but they are definitely manageable.A bit of a talker, but he means well.
Decent professor, doesn't accept late work but gives extra credit opportunities. Just use the study guides to prep for tests and you're solid, the exams do vary significantly in difficulty. Homework assignments feel repetitive and like busy work.
I took a 7-week online course with Professor Jenkins. When you put in the time, effort, and submit your work on time, the course isn't too difficult. Professor Jenkins provides good lectures to follow each week, and the homework is helpful and relevant.
The Professor is an excellent Lecturer. He grades assignments quickly, and he replies to you quickly. Overall, I would recommend this professor to other students and hope to take him again.
It was a fast pace course, so it was very homework heavy. He does not accept late work. Overall, the content is straight forward and accessible. He tends to motivate you, so that helps you see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Professor Jenkins is a great instructor. He doesn't overload students with unnecessary assignments and clearly focuses on helping you understand the material. His tests are very straightforward, and if you study the concepts he teaches and follow the examples he provides, you'll do well.
Manageable workload, fair grading, strict deadlines (no extensions)
This class was amazing. It definitely has a good amount of work, mostly reading and practice, but if you keep up with the homework and assignments, it's very manageable and an easy A. The professor gives helpful feedback and responds quickly to emails. If you are looking for a class where you can finish with a strong grade, this is a great choice.
I took this course while working in car sales full time not a lot of work and a lot of the work is managable and easy as long as you prepare ahead you get plenty of time to finish your work as well no extra filler assignments like other teachers which I really liked.
I might or might not pass the class but he certainly cares about students. I took online lectures and it was LOT of homework. It had two proctored exams which were pretty hard for me. But professor will answer all the questions asked and he is fast email responder. He's jokes are dryer than a bad thanksgiving turkey but it does give chuckles
A lot of homework but everything is open, so you can finish it whenever. There are 3 exams and a final. He allows you to use a 1 page cheat sheet and gives you two chances to double-check your answers before submitting. He is a really chill instructor, and as long as you keep up with the assignments, getting an A is totally achievable.
Lots of extra credit chances, and clthe ass is perfect in my opinion and he teachs you what you need to know
Good professor; his lectures are clear and easy to understand. I did have a few issues getting in contact with him
The professor really cares for his students. He will make sure you understand the material as long as you are willing to ask. Easy to follow his class with the weekly assignments due.
This class was a nice, but the only issue was he don't reply emails and do not post notifications on canvas when there is not class. However his classes are really participate even it was online. He way of teaching is with good humor. For attendance he will do attendance by calling your name. If you take him in a person-class, you will be fine.
Great class!
Overall a good course. Offers extra credit and the homework wasn't too heavy. Due dates were a little confusing and didn't post announcements.
Cares about students.
Professor Kush Jenkins is a good professor but, he's not for everyone. He makes the content easy to understand and digestible. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities for his class. The study guides are key to passing the exams so make sure that you study them beforehand. The homework is pretty simple but can be incredibly boring.
He's a very good professor overall as long as you turn in your work on time And even if you miss an assignment or 2 he still gives opportunities for extra credit (extremely difficult to fail)
I took the 6-week version of ACC 112. The workload was a lot, but it was definitely doable! Professor Jenkins has great humor but make sure you turn your assignments in on time!!!! He DOES NOT play around with due dates and will not give extensions.
Good guy but do not miss assignments if you can, he NEVER takes late work.
Prof jenkins is a amazing professor, he assigns many extra oppertunity credits including this one to boost your grade and allows students to make up their own due dates. Hes also very hilarious, i would take him again if i could but im gradauting.
Has tight deadlines, but a clear grading system.
Professor Jenkins is very organized and clear about what he expects in this class. All the assignments and exams follow the syllabus closely, and he gives reminders so you always know what's due.
He was really nice, and I had him in ACC 211, and he was so nice, and I decided to take him again, and this was the best decision ever.
I think Dr. Jenkins is a very great professor and really cares about his students and wants to see everyone succeed in life. He is very knowledgeable and has lots of experience in the accounting space.
Interesting professor to have. Gives a lot of insight outside of actual learning material. If you enjoy interacting with the professor in a class, take him. Attendance is not mandatory but counts towards grade for a free 100.
Took this course online asynchronously so I didn't have much interaction with Dr. Jenkins. Good thing is he always sends reminder emails and makes sure everyone will catch up. His dry humor shines through his emails (there, I mentioned it :). I found the last exam to be the hardest, but hoping to still finish with decent grade. Overall recommend!
He's a nice guy who cares about his students.
He's an amazing professor, very knowledgeable & seems to really care about his students.
Professor Jenkins gives real due dates and extra credit opportunities!
