I am an A student and she is by far the worst math teacher ever!! Her class is confusing she doesn't explain anything. She tells you to figure it out on your own. If you actually want to learn Pre-Calculus take it with another instructor. It was as if I was learning the material by myself. Do not take her class especially in the Spring or Summer!

DO NOT TAKE HER. She is a very nice teacher, but she makes everything way more complicated. I taught my self everything, and not to be mean but its kinda hard to understand her with her accent. Overall take her with extreme caution.

I strongly do not recommend her! She is nice but she is not helpful. The only good thing is she lets you use a note card on tests but other than that her tests are tough and she does not help at all! I asked her many times to help me on a question or how do I solve it and all she said was figure it out.

She is the utmost worst teacher i have dealt with at HFCC. She is very unjust and not fair. Her tests don't match what her study guides are at ALL. She is horrible. I do not recommend you take her at all, not even a last resort.

She is very unclear when she speaks and is always looking in a book to teach us problems that she has no idea how to do. Do not take her she doesn't care about you she just wants to get paid. Worst teacher at HFCC -5/15 points for a missed parenthesis that doesn't affect the answer.

HORRIBLE! If you don't do every single step, even if it is pre-algebra stuff, you will not get higher than a D! If I took Calc 2 with any other professor, I wouldve gotten an A. BEWARD AND AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the sake of your mental health, do not take her class. I read reviews but thought i could handle it bc I've always been an A student in math. Now I'm retaking. Even if you're desperate for this class, another class with a decent prof. will come along. You WILL regret going against your instincts & taking this class, so don't do it... oh my god

Possibly the Worst professor in all of HFC. She does NOTHING to help her students. Her rules are all designed to screw you . You can use NOTHING on her exams and quizzes, you have to remember pages of formulas. She grades the weirdest way, she wants babysteps. 2.5 hours class, no breaks. Graded classwork everyday. nonsense due dates for homework.

The worst. doesn't grade you on your ability to do calculus but on your ability to follow her exact writing style . she gives worksheets everyday ad watches Indian dramas on the computer while your doing them ,doesn't help. 24 kids were registered at the start of class and only 6 made it to the final . Theonly good reviews on here are probably her

The worst teacher ever. When a student asks a question, she rarely ever knows the answer. She often says "if you don't know this... learn it" for stuff we never learned and she never plans on teaching. She wants you to show every single step, you can't skip anything.

The absolute worst professor that you could ever take. DO NOT take her. Listen to me and the rest of the reviews here. You will hate her and your life every time you go to class. Do not do that to yourself. The class/credits are not worth taking with her.

I'd like to specify that I am a straight 4.0 student, who has gotten OVER a 100% in every math class he has taken. In fact, right now I'm just about to finish a second bachelor's in math just because I love it. In the past I had this professor for a course... I dropped it the 2nd day. It is the only class that I've ever dropped.

Horrible experience. Make sure not to get stuck with this one.. She was hysterical whenever someone touched their phone, called security and everything. The school ended up replacing her mid-semester!

Avoid her class. Not clear at all. Expects you to have a photographic memory on tests and quizzes.(She deducts points if you miss something insignificant) she's difficult to explain things to. She is set in her ways. Looks can be deceiving. Only has one way of teaching. I actually had to drop her class so I wouldn't fail.

Prasad is difficult but passable. After every lecture she gives out a quiz on the information you learned MINUTES ago , and you MUST show every step. If you are stuck with her, go on youtube, search Professor Leonard, and listen to his lectures before class to do well on quizzes. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER ONLINE PRACTICE PROBLEMS. This saved my grade!

If you have another option, take it. This was absolutely the worst class I have ever taken.

A significant portion of the class dropped after the average on her first two tests was below failing. Then, of the 10 or so remaining students at least 3 had grades so low that passing would be impossible. She gives definitions from the book and does sample problems for two and a half hours and then you have to learn everything on your own.

I wish she actually tried to consider how her students feel, when they ask her a question because we couldn't understand what she wanted for her retarded tests. She doesn't explain anything, she just solves a problem basically how the book does and doesn't explain anything. she has an accent making everything she says unclear, she grades strict.

Lectures are only copying definitions from the textbook without explaining them. goes through examples on her own without explanation. Heavy accent makes you unable to understand anything. Be prepared to be devastated with a quiz every 2 lectures. The class has started with 25 students and ended up with 10 students who has prior knowledge.

She shouldn't even be a teacher at all she is literally the worst teacher I have ever taken doesn't answer any of your questions and its not helpful what so ever! Do not take her.

Took her course because she was the only professor left, if you struggle with math don't take her. People like her make math a living nightmare for people who struggle with it.

If you can, AVOID taking this professor. The class, she made it so difficult to pass. The homework is nothing like any of her test or quizzes. Lose points on test for simple things. I would NOT recommend her at all, unless you like failing, then be my guest! (Took class at Macomb Comm College.)

Terrible teacher..I am currently in her mth-1000 at macomb community college and she Grades ridiculously hard for first year students. She moved a quiz back one class, but never told the class she moved it back to the original date , so I missed the class to go to the doctors and she didnt take my doctors note. She said, "no exceptions, no retakes"

She is just flat out horrible. Rude, and doesn't consider the fact that people struggle with math. Take anyone! Do not take her if she is the last option! Wait till the next semester to take an actual professional. She is not a good educator.

Do not take her. She is so rude. Doesnt follow the syllabus. She told me to drop her course rather then helping me. I now have a DR on my transcript because of her. I retook the class with a different proffessor and passed with an A+. Im warning you she is the worst teacher. On her tests if the work isnt done in a specific order its marked wrong.

One of the worst professors, and because of her I started to think maybe it was my fault I wasn't smart, but no. She takes points off on the smallest details. I have taken an online math class before and I loved it. I surely can't say the same about this class. HORRIBLE TEACHER, avoid her at all costs.

OMG, what a HORRIBLE teacher! She'd mark CORRECT answers wrong and refuse to change it, tested us on stuff she never taught in class, had us study the wrong sections of the book and quized us on totally different material, wouldn't comply with legally documented disabilities, told students to drop the class in stead of helping them, thick accent!!

Overall the class is not an enjoyable experience, I've obviously taken math classes before, but this one has to be the worst. One of the biggest gripes, is the amount of writing you do, while explanation is minimal while she writes problems. The class was actually MATH-115 not 141(There was no option)

I would recommend any who has to take Math080 to literally avoid this professor at all costs!! I usually tend to get As and Bs in math and quite enjoy it but she has made me hate math all together. The way she grades is ridiculous and all the note taking with minimal explanation helps nothing. Either get a tutor or retake the class without her.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! TERRIBLE TEACHER! Will mark correct answers wrong and wont change them, moves way too fast, thing she did not teach you will somehow pop up on your tests, very hard to understand( heavy accent), and a EXTREMELY TOUGH GRADER. No Math-080 class should be as hard as she makes it. AVOID!!

Don't be like me and not research your professors when you have choice between two. Like the rest of the comment, she grades way to harsh and having the right answer dose not matter. This is such a downside since Test and Quizzes are the main source of points for passing the class. Homework is a side show and extra credit is dose not exist.

This professor does not grade fairly. She will mark you down if you do not show every. tiny. step. She will not work with your schedule at all, not for hospital visits, doctor appointments, emergency's nothing!!! She will always tell you to go to the Dean if you have the slightest disagreement. Does not elaborate on material with no office hours.

She didnt try in any way to help me when I told her I was struggling with the material. All she said to me was to drop out of the class (on the first day). I was devastated and felt like I was too stupid to understand Calc I. I dropped her class and took another section, which I got an A in. So, its not that Im stupid, shes just a bad teacher.

Legitimately the worst professor, I dont even know how she can teach. cannot understand a single world that exits her mouth, Im astonished that she is allowed to teach math. Tough grader. if you have any reason that you are unable to make it to class or need an extension on an assignment she rlly doesnt care haha... also she just keeps on going without checking if anybody is actually understanding and really doesnt take questions or criticism.i spent a lot of time watching youtube tutors and u will too if you take this class lololol

I completed an assignment but got marked 0 for it when I pointed it out she sent me to the dean. She genuinely does not care about whether you pass or fail the class. I have so so so many terrible things to say about Kushum Prasad as a professor. I took her class because it was the only option left, if you are reading this... STAY AWAY your gpa depends on it.

I, myself, have always excelled in math classes. But in this class, it was hell. The lectures are fairly easy to understand but the way she grades is very unreasonable. If you don't include a step in your work, you get points off. If you don't put a degree symbol in your calculations, you get points off. I've never seen terrible grading like hers.

Don't take the class. Read the reviews it will be as bad as it sounds. Her grading criteria is unclear, a student in the class tried to get clarification and she gave none and just kept repeating the rubric phrasing which is confusing. If you ask for help she will give none. Her notes & feedback are really hard to read. Maybe she's better in person

this was the worst class I've ever taken. she does not care for you at all!! she speeds through the material and won't slow down if you or the entire class tell her to. the only good thing about her is she grades right away. if you take her get ready to teach yourself. the work in the class is easy but she just isn't. TAKE ANYONE ELSE.

Professor is really hard to deal with, gives so much homework, quiz almost every Thursday. If she makes a mistake during grading than don't even bother telling her she won't listen. Really hard to understand during a 3 hour lecture. Do not take this teacher

This is the worst professor I've ever had. Not only does she mark you wrong for every tiny mistake you make but she also makes dozens of mistakes herself and thinks nothing of it. She confuses us so much times and you can't understand her because of her accent. Literally most of the people that were in my class failed. SHE WILL NOT EXPLAIN ANYTHING

I took this class for like a week before dropping it because I knew that if I stay in her class I will inevitably fail. She has a thick accent as well. She's selfish and only cares about herself. worst teacher ever throws assignments at you without any lectures and expects you to understand and she doesn't have any study guides

I seen students registered for her for Winter 2026 and I actually feel so bad. She will FAIL YOU. She has no background knowledge of math so she wont answer your questions/emails, VERY dismissive, doesn't care about you or any of your struggles, no study guides, and LOTS of homework.

We started with 15 students and ended up with 3 left in her classroom. Everyone dropped out and everyone most likely failed. Language barrier, doesn't know math, fails you even if you know your math. Shes setting you up for FAILURE. I'm not kidding when i say this class made me depressed and isolated because i had to teach myself.

Do not take this class if you want to learn math yourself!!
