I would say hes the worst professor ive ever had. if you wanna pass pre calculus just don't take him. he doesn't give review sheets or even quiz's and he doesn't drop the lowest grade as well. even when u ask him a qus about the subject he doesn't give you the right answer. I had an A for math 119 and I might fail this class because of him.

He's so annoying. He takes of points for the littlest things on the exams. He don't even call the exams "exams' he calls them parties. He thinks he's funny and he's not. He takes off points on the exam if you didnt solve the question the way he say to and still get the question right. He doesn't care if you know the concept and get the right answer

He is the worst professor! Do not take him !!! He always goes off topic, doesn't explain things properly and isn't willing to help after class or give you a chance to improve your grades. He doesn't review before tests cause he's lazy. If I fail this semester I'm going to the head because I'm a 3.8 student and clearly he's the problem.

By far the worst professor I've had in QCC. He calls his tests "partys" and actually puts that on the test "party 1" calling it a party does not make it fun. Cannot understand what he is saying at all, he is not helpful, expects you to understand everything he is teaching and jumps to next section way to quickly.

He doesn't care about you as a student. Al he cares about is shoving math down your throat without explaining anything, and then gives smart comments and remarks when you ask for help. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Any one but him will do! His exams look like another language compared to what you learn.

Don't take his class especially in summer, he would not explain clearly to you on each point. And the grade he given is totally based on test grade, so there is no curve , whatever how many effort you pay, he didn't care about that.

He's a good person but his teaching skills are not the best. I get the answer right on test but he shows us a way to do his test and if we don't do it his way then he takes off point. I highly do not recommend this professor.

goes off topic a lot n calls his test parties n questions song. He doesn't teach in class when we meet . He had u watch a lecture video of him on YouTube take notes n then gives a lot of homework and only goes over 6/30 the easier ones when u finally meet. A hard grader i had the corr answers and he took off a lot of point bc i didnt do it his way

He's ok as a teacher for those who know and understand math. He rushes through the material and gives little explanation. He's very tough grader. You have to solve the problems exactly like he showed you, otherwise he will take points off. He lacks social skills and is hard to approach. I wouldn't not recommend him.

I took him for a partially online course and it was going great until the first test. There are no review sheets and the material on each test was covered weeks ago so now you have to review about 10 sections of work you finished a month ago for a test. The online part was great for me, lots and lots of homework that took about 3 hours.

NEVER teaches in class! always says watch video lecture and goes over a few questions on homework. when you ask to go over something in class he just tells you to come visit him during office hours... HORRIBLE!!!!!

He is awful, if you are struggling and want to ask him a question he tells you to go see him after class rather than just answering your simple question. he gives VERY FEW homework assignments and exams i have no clue what he bases his grades on. he teaches a new topic every day, and he does NOT ever tell you what will be on the test

Tough grader, I received a 62 on a test and when I went to the math tutoring center the tutor went over my work and told me I should have received a 90. When I asked the teacher why he was unclear and didn't explain anything to me. always told me to check blackboard. excessive homework over all HORRIBLE!! made everything difficult do not take him

he is simply terrible, whatever you see on the comments is true except who talks good about him. even though you get the exercise right, he would be criticizing your method.

This prof. Provides clear lectures and isn't bad at teaching you the material. However he lacks care for the students. He doesn't care about you and is really frustrating when it comes to simple questions. Hw is not necessary but he does give you hw for practice questions but i don't think he incorporates them to your grade. Just study alot to pass

Lacks care for students. He also just lectures and when someone raises their hand to ask a question he gets mad and dismisses them, he does try and be funny however that doesnt help the student succeed in any way. After he finishes class everyone goes straight to the tutor center because he cant teach

He is the worst prof I have ever had in my entire life. The material is heavy and if taught correctly the student would get an A, however he doesnt care for the students and does NOT answer any questions so if you want to fail and feel horrible about yourself then take him. Also Im actually doing well in the class so AVOID I mean it.

Terrible, currently in the class and his grading makes no sense, he will take off points where there isnt any to take off, if you dont explain the problems in the exams like your talking to a 3rd grader and not a math professor he takes off points. Even if you got the question right and explained it thoroughly in math terms he will take points off.

he was great at first , but then upon taking the 2nd week of his class, i was completely lost. He doesn't give extra credit, doesn't grade homework, and only counts 4 exam grades + final which counts as like 70%. The worst professor I have ever taken. if you do a problem thats not his way, he will mark it wrong. do not recommend.

Prof Chui is not the professor to take if youre in Nursing. He doesn't like to help the students. I raised my hand a couple of times & he ignored me or said you have the book. On test he wants you to do this work his way or youre marked wrong even if the answer is CORRECT.. Then he asks the students if they are happy after his terrible lecture.

Even if the question is very easy he will find a way to complicate the question. He is extremely rude and expects you to go to the math center for everything and is no help at all. I never usually struggle this much in math but in his class i struggled a lot.

Hes very inconsiderate. Majority of my class failed. He does not keep you updated about anything. GOOD LUCK if youre taking him youll need it!!

Does not review any of the material on exams and expects you to know them. He often get side track during lessons. Do not pick this teacher as a calculus professor you will fail.

This professor is by far the worst teacher I've taken so far in that school. He's very sarcastic and isn't helpful at all. If you want to keep your gpa this isn't the professor for you. I did everything possible in that class and he still failed me so good luck to you all.

dont take him. SO MUCH HOMEWORK, impossible to finish unless you have 60 hours free a week. He requires you to take class notes and send it to him. He requires the homework notes as well. He requires you to show your work on exams. He doesnt care if you get the answer right, he will grade your work and not if you got the answer right. Stay far away

the worse teacher that i have ever seen. he took me points in the exam even i have the right answer. his explication is so confusing. he always skip steps and he never allows you to do that in the exam. no extra credits.

This is one of the worst professors, to be more specific, he really doesn't deserve to be a professor or teacher, what he does is finishing all his "lecture" cause he doesn't care about his students, no matter what subject, it's common that students could have questions but he never answers. Also, he is just making the whole subject much harder.

He tries to be funny by calling tests as parties, and the amount of assignments that I have received is unfair to the students. If you want to get a decent grade in this class, you will have to be present, show work, do all the assignments ON TIME. This is the worst math professor in all of QCC, please save your GPA by not taking him.

He ignores your questions if not he doesn't know how to explain it well and makes you feel stupid. Way too much repetitive homework and notes you have to submit that he doesn't even grade even if you submit it early. His whole grading policy is just unfair and makes it feel impossible to pass. Mr. Kwai Chiu Bon doesn't answer our questions and ignores our chat. When he does decide to answer our questions, he will refuse to answer most questions and make fun of us for not listening, not acknowledging that students are having tech or environmental issues. Doesnt go over test questions, even when majority of us are failing

Professor Chiu is my third math professor and so far I do not care for the experience. I have address my home issues to him many times since this is on online and he will not care and belittle you for "not paying attention". I even went to his office hours and he will just keep stating that "you need to pay attention". Not helpful at all .

Bad overall and not too helpful. I think he means well but can't explain clearly, doesn't want to help or wants you to do everything. Exams are bad and too much homework.

He's an extremely tough grader and assigns a lot of homework, but if you do it in the way he teaches, you'll be fine.

Actually embarrassing what a joke of a teacher, honestly. Gives an insane amount of homework that is not doable unless you have no life and live off of math. Marks your answer wrong if you dont do it his way even if you get the correct answer. I cant stress enough how bad of a teacher he is. Straight joke.

WORST MISTAKE EVER. I'm a 3.7 gpa student and had to drop the class. If you don't solve the exam problems using his methods, you don't get the points, even if the answers are correct and you've shown work. Amount of hw is absurd - at least 50-75 questions per night. No makeup exams or points given for makeup hw. He is funny tho I'll give him that.

This professor get's upset if in the middle of lecture you ask for further explanation. Grades very harshly. Barely gives extra credit and if he does it's not nearly as helpful. Office hrs are a waste of time, will walk out even more lost than before. DO NO TAKE HIM!

He is so bad, he failed me on all my exams because I didn't use his methods to answer the questions even though they were correct. I double-checked my answers once I received my exams back and they were right but he still graded them wrong. I don't know how he is still a teacher he is terrible.

Save your gpa and avoid this class he speeds through lectures doesn't take a moment to pause and ensure everyone is understanding he only deems problems correct if you use his specific method to answer it although you may have been taught other methods to solve it and get the answer correct to him it is wrong, seemingly only his way is efficient.

Unless you want to absolutely hate your life, DO NOT TAKE HIM. He rushes through content without making sure students understand. Beware of 2min pop note submissions and a lot of homework. The sole fact that he calls exams "parties", calculators "dancing shoes" and homework ECE "Easy and Constructive Exercises" should steer you away from him!!

I wouldn't be surprised if he was Kim Jung Un in another life. His strict approach to the class is unneeded not to mention his lack of empathy for his students. His teaching style is literally "watch this YT video I made and write notes" and "do as I say not as I do". It's funny cause he GRADES those notes with a 0 even after copying everything 1 to 1. When it comes to exams, he will deduct points on answers if you do an equation as said videos AND when you don't do small things like LABELING AN EQUATION.

Please save your GPA and do not take his class if you do not want to risk losing your current GPA right now. Just recently got out of this class for spring 2024, he does not respond to emails, gives a lot of homework to the point you cant even focus on other subjects, tough grader if you don't do how he does the work you wont get full credit.

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PROFESSOR, he is terrible at teaching , it's like he's just reading facts making it very uninteresting and impossible to learn plus does not care at all about his students , their needs , or questions . He will completely ignore your problems .

Please do not take this class, he rushed through all the topics and subjects, every class we learn something new. He will rush though and it doesn't matter if you understand or not, he is moving on. Basically watch him do everything on his own.

This class was the WORST math experience of my life. Professor Chiu just rambles, barely explains anything. His accent is impossible to understand, although that isn't his fault. Emailed him with questions, no response EVER. The homework was near-impossible. Tests? Don't even get me started. Brutal.. Unfair... I studied for DAYS and still bombed.

Will not answer your emails if you reach out seeking help or clarity, drowns you in copious amounts of homework with no leeway, a harsh grader that does not give any points if you make one mistake. This professor was one of the worst I've had.We received 30-60 unrelated questions nightly and his tests were extremely challenging often requiring knowledge not taught until after the exam.Despite my 100% attendance, he was often upset and stingy toward student making the class unnecessarily difficult. Don't ever take this professor unless you really have to, he is all over the place and not organized I regret taking his class because I learnt nothing much he confuses you a lot , listen to the other reviews and don't take this professor I'm sorry I ignored everything others were saying.

Grades off of drop boxes that are only open for a few minutes (5) every class, but needs them to be submitted as scanned PDF. Doesn't allow for issues like slow school internet and many PDF sites requiring you to watch ads/taking a long time to load. Doesn't answer questions during lecture, doesn't communicate test dates properly, only lectures.
