EXCELLENT Professor! He cares about all of his students passing Math 9 and will help you if you need it. He gives a lot of practice take home tests & homework, and I recommend that you do them because THEY HELP! Read the book, come to class everyday, participate, do the homework/practice sheets he gives out, and you will pass the exit exam.

He goes through his stuff in class really fast so you've got to pay attention, but if you stop and ask questions he'll give you full attention to help. HW everyday isn't mandatory, but he reviews it in class and the practice is so much help. He's very outgoing and gets to know everyone, and actually cares that you pass the final.

He is a great guy who takes his time to explain the stuff to his students and goes the extra mile of giving more practise questions. Great guy with great personnality. Makes class fun and lively. A is a must in his class. If you looking for Math 9, done just go with Kwame..

He is an excellent professor! He takes his job seriously and actually cares for each and everyone of his students. He will do what it takes to make sure you the know the material that is being taught. If math is not an easy subject for you i defenitely reccomend you take his class! :)

I had him for the fall semester and he's hilarious.. he always have the class laughing.. but most importantly he does care about his students and would stay up all night preparing worksheets for the kids to study from I recommend him as a math teacher!

Very intimidating at first but he's a great professor. Hes huuge on participation and calls on everybody which made it intimidating at first but you get used to it. Doesnt require a teaxtbook either. He really helps if you dont understand, just do the work, participate, and make jokes and your fine.

I had this professor for M1 and passed with flying colors so I took him for M2 and he is phenomenal! I believe he teaches you much harder work then the actual final making it SO easy to pass the finals without a problem thanx to him i got a 96 on my final! I was nervous at first because I'm terrible at math. He made everything so clear to understand. He doesn't check if you do the homework, but it will show on the tests if you didn't do it. Just do the work and keep your mind fresh by practicing a few problems over the weekends. He really cares about his students. He is a one of a kind teacher :)

I hadn't taken math in 4 years, but im glad i did with this professor. Professor Nyanin really cares about his students. He may give a lot of homework, but it will help you in the long run. DO THE HOMEWORK, as it will help you on the quizzes. Dont be afraid to ask questions, he is more than willing to help.

This professor wouldn't let me stay in my seat - he kept on having me do problems on the board. Very good if you want to be prepared for MAT 900. Prof. Nyanin made this class enjoyable and a lot of fun with his real-world examples and jokes.

I would definitely take professor Nyanin again if I needed another math class. Very clear and helpful with the material although he does have an accent but it's not bad honestly. I was struggling with the test repeatedly and he was willing to sacrifice his mornings ans afternoons to work with me . He constantly called on me and class and continued to push me to do my best . I went to tutoring for like 5 hours long he was willing to work with me until i got it . I ended up passing with an A-! Great Math teacher

I found Professor Nyanin to be very nice and very helpful. He was tough to keep up with and gives lots of assignments. I dropped his class but he continues to offer free help when I've run into him on campus. I would say he's a great instructor to have as long as you do the work.

He teaches well however he is a critic of everything and spends allot of class time on issue that really are not math related. But when he does focus on the math he does a good job at ensuring you obtain the information. Be very very very patient.

when i first took his class i was very annoyed he gave tons of homework and i did not like it BUT he is the only person to ever get me to understand math he always said you have to practice math to understand it and he is totally correct hes the absolute best guy you can take even though hes a pain

Math R300 great teacher. He moves through content quickly but DO NOT be shy to ask a question. HE WILL make sure you understand! He does not like smaller questions taking up a lot of time (i agree), but if there is time left near the end of the period he will explain deeper, just remind him. VERY UNDERSTANDING TEACHER. He knows how you think.

This man will make you understand Math even though he might diss you in the process but he's a great prof and a part time comedian. Very funny guy who picks on everyone good laughs. Practice makes perfect is his motto & he is correct, only way to understand math is by practice lots of HW, quizzes & notes. He's not boring & he will help if needed.

Prof Nyanin is great! He comes off very intimidating and rude cause he aggressively calls on people you learn he really cares. I was about the drop the class the first 2 days cause he was intimidating but thank god I didnt, hes awesome. You need to do the homework in order to understand, and ask questions. If you take notes, you should do fine

He can come off a bit intimidating but please DO NOT let that deter u. I had him for math2 & then sought him out for math 4! He's an EXCELLENT prof the only times I got A's in math were in his classes. He gives a lot of hw but nothing hard & he will help you however he can if he sees even the slightest effort on your part even staying after class!

Took him during the winter semester:He gave 3 tests &drops the lowest grade + final; extra credit was given on every exam but the final. He gave a lot of homework,but honestly it was very helpful. If you don't do the homework& participate (doesn't give you a choice) you wont pass. AMAZING PROFESSOR, takes some time to get used to him and his jokes

Professor Nyanin truly does care for his students, especially when he sees them trying. Expect homework every night but just know it's in your best interest. All three tests, and the final is cumulative, with the lowest test grade being dropped. There's always a chance for a 10-pt extra credit question at the end of all tests, except the final.

Look, I gave professor a horrible rating. However, I wish I could take it back because he really is challenging us and he making sure we understand and also grasp his work. If you got problems in math, get a tutor. first of all, he's aggressive. Second, he gives a million question that all are completely mind boggling. Study and do homework.

Professor Nyanin is the best Math professor I have ever taken, he does make you work hard but its the best interest of you, he gives a lot of homework but doesn't grade them but it'll be smart to do them( you'll understand the work better) participation matters do they homework and his class would be a piece of cake

This professor is amazing. He made me love math! I wasn't bright at all in Math EVER! In his class i loved doing the homework using his methods. Just do the homework it helps a lot... and you'll get 100s like I did. Plus he is super funny. You might feel skeptical on the first few days of class but trust me you will look forward to his class!!!

i had him for Math900. He is the professor that you can learn math alot from. He's great at teaching and super clear with his material. But his class does require some work to get an A.

My first day for his lecture was fun and from there I was completely scared lol!! I got the hang of who he is as a professor and did all required work for his course. It's important to do the hw and put it on the board and there's a possibility your hw is added as extra credit on one of your exams. He's funny at times but takes class seriously.

I had Pro. Nyanin for M100. First he's a very caring professor, if you don't understand you can go to him and he will help you. He's help me with M100, M200, R300. Practically every semester that I had math I went to him for help and tutoring. Even if it meant coming in early before his classes. I would have never passed this math classes w/o him.

Great professor! He cares about his students and breaks down everything to make you understand the topic completely. Expect lots of homework which he reviews with the whole class on the next day. He gave us 3 tests and he dropped the lowest grade. I also liked the fact that he made us all participate in class and at that same time he is funny!

He is a dedicated Mathematics professor who takes teaching very seriously. He teaches very clearly and proficiently! He is very funny and creates a family environmental setting in the classroom. Professor Nyanin is THE BEST! At first I thought he was too aggressive but he cares about his students and wants everyone to pass. He's big on attendance so try not to miss classes. He loves to call on students to make sure they understand the topic so be ready to be put on the spot. His homework is pretty simple. He's honestly AWESOME!

Great professor, expects his students to know any material he teaches. Tests are multiple choice but he wants to see all work, no such thing as partial credit, either you show work and get the right answer or get the question wrong entirely. In class will randomly select people to answer questions. Final was a cakewalk compared to his normal exams.

He gave homework but didn't grade it because he believed that it will show our progress by itself, and it was true. Great teacher, online and in-person.

I took professor nyamin for m2, and he was great, he is so good I have to take his class again for m9 and if he is teaching statistic I will take his class again. He make sure you know how to work out math problem. He likes participation so be prepare to be call upon. Take his class and you won't regret it

He is an amazing professor who is always available if you have questions. I had him for a short winter session 2021, so overall it was quick, not easy. But he is sweet and helpful. I was so bad in math at school and I wish he were my teacher back then. Be ready to work hard and practice a lot but you should be fine with this professor. He is good!

he was really nice and as long as you watch his lectures, you will be able to understand the homeworks and tests. he made long lectures videos but you do not need to watch all them completely (i skipped through some parts sometimes). he answers emails at reasonable times too

Professor Nyanin is a great teacher. Very clear and explains everything to the max. Lectures are long but it is just to prepare you. I considered dropping this course several times but got through it. As long as you put the time and work in, you will be okay. I recommend him because he really does care about his students and wants you to pass.

Professor Nyanin has been excellent. He has a way of lecturing and breaking down the material to make it very easy to understand. It would be great to be in his class for all the math courses after math900. He lectures through practice, so you will love the class if you love solving problems rather than the professor just reiterating the theories.

At first he'll come off as harsh, but he just wants the best for you. Our class was interactive and fun and we got a break between every class. Practice a lot and you'll be fine. I'm moving from a 25% to a 95%.

For about 80% of the course I hated professor Nyanin. I found him abrasive and mean. That was until I learned the course and taught myself everything in spite of him suggesting I cheated. Then I realized that he just wanted me to learn and it worked. I just took the final and I'm expecting an excellent grade because I studied my butt off.He cares.

Professor Nyanin is very attentive to his students from Day 1 and calls on all students to solve problems throughout class to ensure everybody understands the math problem and how to solve it. Provides extra help to any student and responds to emails within a timely manner to ensure all students pass with a good grade. Great Math professor overall.

Great Professor! Probably one of the best math professor in Kbcc. I will say, he sets you up for success but it's up to you if you want a good grade. The material is given to you and if you don't study you won't pass. But he's a great Professor.

Professor Nyanin is the best math instructor I have ever had. He is not only knowledgeable but also humorous, making his class engaging and enjoyable. He explains every question clearly. If you actively participate in his class, there's no need to worry about the final exam, as it's much easier than what you've learned throughout the course

Professor Kwame can Be a Tough Cookie, but he comes from a Good Place, He will defiantly Call on you Even if you don't now it , He Teaches very Fast so take this class if you're a fast learner. he does not babysit or does he wait for you to catch up he can be harsh but thats just his back ground ...... This Professor will call on students to participate in class. Such as answer questions or explain a formula. If you have a problem with authority, then this class may not be for you. This professor is nice and encouraging as long as you keep up on your work and study this class should be a walk in the park.
