Hella professor. Show up to class if you want to be entertained and actually learn the material in an understandable way. He curves the midterms and finals so that the class average is 75%. Hard not to pass, a little challenging to get an A. Easily accessible outside of class.

Kyle is a 10/10 prof! His lectures are very easy to follow and very interesting, but you have to pay attention for the entire class period or else you get lost. Econ is a very complex subject but he simplifies it. He does curse and sometimes makes a lot of jokes so if you're looking for a strictly business prof he may not be the best choice for you

Kyle is such a great professor and he understands how hard it may be to grasp the subject of Economics and he is willing to help outside of class. Also he makes the lecture extremely entertaining with his passion and jokes. The midterm and final are worth 60% of your grade so you should study but the rest is homework and they are easy points.

Asking questions in class, commenting on the facebook page etc! There was one Final paper and that was a huge part of your grade so if you kill that then you'll have a solid A+

Professor Hampton is the perfect example of an individual that really enjoys what he does. He really wants each student to succeed. His lectures can be fast paced at times so I recommend reading beforehand. Online homework is super easy. Do the practice exams! He offers a ton of extra help outside of class so go to it! Only two tests all year. The class is set up so that you can do okay on the tests and still get a good grade in the class by doing all the homework. The only way to learn anything is to read the book, and the chapters are very long. There is not enough practice work, makes it hard to learn. Econ is very hard overall, but he awesome. V enthusiat

Kyle has by far been one of my favorite professors. I always struggled with Econ but Kyles lectures were so engaging I thoroughly enjoyed Econ this semester. Homework is very easy but midterm & final are definitely challenging. I worked for my grade but it wasnt painful.

Regardless of if you're an econ major, take a class with Kyle. Every day you will learn something new. He cares so much about econ and gives Ted-Talk worthy lectures. Office hours 1-2x a week (sometimes with donuts), and he is so willing to help because he wants you to succeed. This guy deserves an award for best prof. Or at least a 5.0 rating.

The lectures are just stories about economics and how the stories apply to the textbook knowledge. It's like bad stand up comedy, which is funnier than all other teachers I have had. Listen to his stories because if you can tell why he tells them you will succeed.

Kyle is an awesome professor. Super chill guy, relates lectures directly to college students' lives in a way I've never seen before. Homework once a week online, drops two worst homework assignments, one midterm, and one final. He's funny as hell and one of the nicest guys I've met.

You don't have to come to his class, but if you don't, read the chapters in the book (don't procrastinate), highlight notes in said chapters, do the homework (graded and "practice quizzes"), and come to his office hours for help on graph interpretations and other questions. Show you care even a little about his class, and he'll be generous.

Labor econ was my 3rd class with Kyle and I am genuinely upset I won't be taking a course from him next semester. Kyle's class is more than just learning about the given subject. He teaches us how to be prepared for the upcoming challenges in life while relating it back to the subject being taught. It is an intensive course, so I wouldn't recommend taking it if you have an extremely tough semester. Still, Kyle is very helpful and you can always reach out.

He is super interesting to listen to and always has something fun to talk about in class. He takes most of his bias out of debates and likes to play devils advocate as much as possible. He helps you with your Op-Ed and is more accurate than most English professors about what writing is needed for the real world.

Kyle is a wonderful man and this class really changed me! This class does require consistency, like not slacking off on reading, taking notes during class, and just being proactive from the start. His tests are very hard but attend SI Sessions because the SIs are amazing :) also don't forget launchpad and do PollEV in class!! they are important!

This year he had to make his class harder, so the recent negative reviews are probably from students who took this class as an easy A and didn't put in the work to learn the concepts. Hampton is definitely an interesting teacher. I loved his class but it was definitely my hardest one. Econ is not an easy subject so be prepared to work for your grade. He can seem tough (and the class IS), but if you work hard, get extra help, and keep up with notes, you'll be okay. Go to the SI sessions, they'll save your grade (THANKS GUYS)

Hampton put our class through the ringer with the second exam; however, he apologized for it being unfair and ended the year with a final exam that if you put in effort you could readily prepare for. If you work for it, your effort will be rewarded and youll walk away with an abundance of economic knowledge. I absolutely loved his course!

Professor Hampton is a really good teacher. It clearly shows that he does want all his students to do well. but this semester he was forced to make the class harder by the school so the grade average would be lower . so that means that the tests are way harder and the homework counts for less than it usually would.

It's difficult if you don't study but before the exams, he gives you multiple practice tests and the questions are similar to the test. We actually went on a mountain bike ride one weekend, during which he convinced me to add econ as a double major. He's an excellent professor and I can't recommend him and his classes enough.

I took ECON200 in my first semester of college and I can say that Kyle is the reason I'm now pursuing an economics major. Took for macro. I struggled with the content, and Kyle did his absolute best to make it more understandable. His lectures were incredible though, he is super high-energy and fun to listen to. It's a tough subject and I assume as tough to lecture on, and for what it's worth, he did a really good job.

Kyle is a great professor who tries to simplify concepts by giving you examples. Read the book before class and listen to his stories in the lecture for a full understanding (and laugh). The people who struggle in this class are the ones who thinks his lectures are off topic, but they help to really understand a concept, not memorize stuff.

Do not make my mistake and barely read the book. Paying attention during class is good to contextualize but definitely not good enough. READ THE BOOK IF YOU WANT MORE THAN A B

Kyle has a charisma and charm that is few and far between for professors. He truly cares about his students and strives to see everyone who puts in the time and effort succeed. He is not the type of teacher to hand you an A, but if you grind, that A will come. 10/10 guy, beast mountain biker, and brilliant economist.

As he'll probably tell you, he is a golden god. I took Macro with him last year, and he is the most engaging teacher I've ever had. He is hilariously cynical. I took this class as a GE, which I don't recommend if you want an easy A. I'm a comp sci major, and I thought this class was awesome. I didn't get a good grade, but I don't care. Worth it.

Kyle is a great professor that cares about his students' success. He also makes the lectures very interesting which makes the concepts a lot easier to understand.

This is my favorite professor at Chapman. Hands down. He is extremely engaging in his lectures and very funny. It is definitely not an easy class, however he is such a fun teacher that I plan on taking as many of his classes as possible.

Do not be intimidated by Professor Hampton. He is an amazing lecturer and truly wants his students to do good. Office hours are almost a must if you feel like you are behind. Everything is fair in the class, with 2 exams and a lot of small homeworks. Overall, a definite go with his course!

Absolutely the best professor you can take for micro/macro economics or any class at Chapman that he teaches. Professor Hampton is extremely engaging, loves what he teaches, and makes the class extremely useful for those who are interested in the topic. If you get the chance to take him you will not regret it! Best professor out there.

Professor Hampton brings so much energy and passion to this class. He always finds a way to sneak in a few jokes that'll always leave you laughing. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his work. I would 100% take him again for a different class as he makes going to class enjoyable. I look forward to going to his class every time.

He is the funniest teacher I have ever had in my entire life. If I could go back I would make sure I took both micro and macro with him because he is that good. Somehow he made his lectures so entertaining and is literally so funny. Highly recommend. At first he tries to scare you out of the class because everyone wants him as a teacher but stay.

PLEASE TAKE HIM FOR ECON! He's so funny, he keeps his lectures engaging and really cares about his students' success. There is only the midterm and final going into your grade for tests so paying attention in lectures and being prepared to be challenged is important. Only light homework assignments and they will save your grade so please do them!!

Hampton is incredible day-to-day. His lectures are more enjoyable then pretty much anything else that could be happening during class and he really gives you a new perspective on economics. He does not however, teach very diligently. If you like or are interested in econ and want to hear an educated lense on it, this is the perfect course.

Great teacher. Very fun lectures. A little odd. He is funny but sometimes he makes this joke about kissing your sister so thats odd. He really wants you to do well. Makes Econ fun. Also lets us use the internet for test which is pretty cool.

Overall his class was informative. However for me it was hard to follow at most times because he would jump from a topic to a real life scenario. In general his test were hard but if you study you will do fine. He is very funny and passionate about economics. Definitely take him you haven't learned Economics if you haven't taken it with Kyle.

Amazing Professor. Econ is hard. Hampton's lectures really simplify and help you walk through concepts. He makes it an interesting subject to learn about by using hilarious examples. All exams are open notes, but make sure to study as the notes only get you so far. One writing assignment. Take this class with Hampton!!!

Most inspirational and fun professor. Great professor to have in your freshman year, especially. He genuinely cares about his students and is so great to talk to. It was really refreshing having a professor like him! His lectures always leave you thinking about life and current issues in the world. The course I took (The Righteous Mind) was amazing

Most interesting guy youll meet. Dont wanna spoil the class but I highly highly recommend this FFC. I think this is the best FFC, especially after hearing so many people complain about their FFC. I wish I took him for Econ too but I couldnt find a space.

TAKE THIS CLASS! This was the only lecture I would attend every day of the week. Kyle makes it so engaging from the moment you step into the room, blasting house music then telling us crazy stories, it's an unforgettable experience. Participate in class and answer his questions! 2 exams for your grade so you have to be confident in the material.

Kyle is an amazing professor, I would definitely recommend taking his class if it's available. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you pay attention during all of his lectures and do the reading, the class should be pretty easy to pass. The reading isn't too bad, just one short chapter a week and homework that you can easily get 100% on.

Truly a great professor. Hes extremely knowledgeable and passionate about economics, and his lectures are absolutely amazing. You will come out of his class having learned a lot. Not gonna lie, you have to really study for his tests, but if you put in the effort, it will pay off. Do the homework, itll bump your grade up by approx. 3% so it helps

Loved this class. Very energetic prof that loves the study and application of Economics. Strongly rec reading the textbook before lectures. Only 2 tests during the entire semester (midterm and final) and they're both open-book/note etc., but don't rely on it entirely. Hw is a breeze and will boost your grade. Take advantage of the extra credit!

Professor Hampton was the funniest professor I ever had. I highly recommend him if you are interested in Econ. He really cares about his students and always has office hours if you need extra help.

Professor Hampton was an amazing economics professor. I learned a lot from his lectures because they all involved real-life examples that college students would understand. It is suggested to read the textbook before class to understand the lectures. You are graded on one writing assignment, hwk, midterm, and final. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!!!

Kyle gives fantastic examples to Economic examples. He is a Philosophy Major with an Econ Ph. D. Be prepared to put the work in, if you don't have previous Econ experience. Can be non PC, but does it to express points and challenge perspectives.

Professor Hampton teaches relevant topics and ways how to apply Econ to our daily lives. His lectures are engaging. Be prepared to READ before class and MAKE SURE to do your homework before class every time. No credit for assignments completed after due date. You MUST read the textbook.

If he has an open class then stop reading these reviews and just take it before the seats run out.

He is the only reason I came to class at 8:30. Super hilarious and engaging. He doesn't necessarily teach during lectures, so reading the textbook is essential. Tests are pretty difficult, but he is always willing to help by hosting study sessions before.

Kyle is really passionate about what he does and you can tell he really cares about his students and their success. His lectures are based on real world situations and less off of the textbook, which can be a disadvantage for exams. But, he's always super willing to meet with you outside of class to go over material and prep for midterms/finals.

Kyle is a great guy. Truly does care and wants the best for his students. Yes, the content of Macro is tough and the exams were rough but with good effort this class is very doable. He is very understanding, encouraging, and hilarious. Listen to his lectures because you will learn something valuable from his life lessons and stories.

Kyle's Econ215 was entertaining and very off-topic most of the time. The tests were tough because he didn't really teach, they were open note but that didn't really help. However, if you do the extra credit, you can improve your grade by at least a letter. He cares about his students but is frank which can be harsh at times.

Kyle's lectures are engaging and packed with real-world examples, but the class requires lots of self-study. Homework and extra credit are key. Unstuck AI was a great supplementary tool for test prep.

Loved my 8:30 AM lectures with Professor Hampton. His lectures were always engaging and hilarious, it was probably the only 8:30 I've willingly got up for. Go to his office hours, he will gladly take time out of his day to explain concepts to you if you have any questions. Any course with Professor Hampton is a must take, you will NEVER be bored.

He was the only professor who could get me to attend an 8:30 lecture. Although he's super funny, if you don't read the textbook, you aren't going to pass. His lectures are a good addition, but if you don't go to any lectures, you'll be fine. I also recommend going to review sessions, they're super helpful and he brought donuts.

Great professor! He has fun lectures and definitely cares about teaching his students. Pay attention during lectures and READ THE TEXTBOOK. Attendance is not mandatory but show up. Midterm was very difficult but the final is less so. The only two exams were open book and notes. Still study and read and understand the concepts. He will help you out.

Hella chill. Lectures are funny, engaging, and insightful. He emphasizes the importance of economics in our daily lives. Took it as an Econ major, but is taught in a way that could be enjoyed by a student from any discipline. I recommend showing up to class. Exams are open note, but still challenging. Read the textbook.

Definitely the most unique professor I have ever had. His lectures are optional and often consist of stories that may or may not be related to economics. Most importantly... do every homework on time (unlike me). Not doing the homeworks is what got me a C. If you do all the homeworks on time, and you do just OK on the tests, you will get a B.

Grade is only low cause of me. He's genuinely one of the greatest teachers I've had. Please take this guy if you have the chance.

Absolutely amazing professor! He is truly so knowledgeable about economics and cares about his students. He does go on tangents but they are super funny and he always finds a way to make understanding economics much easier. One of my favorite teachers I have ever had! Take his classes!!

Professor Hampton is funny and very knowledgable. The downside is he goes on tangents which can cause confusion. There is work you will have to put in outside of class to understand. However, he's always willing to help. His exams are open note but you need to know the material to actually benefit from them.

Super funny, best way to start a day. he would rant about a lot of random stuff. So, it's hard to stay focused on the class itself. Though, he does have an SI which makes learning the material super easy. Super smart dude super funny 10/10
