NEEDLESS TO SAY I PASSED WITH A B.! I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN.! HE ALSO HAVE STUDY GROUPS BEFORE EVERY EXAM! AND EXTRA CREDIT. =)

Nicest professor ever. His class covers a lot of information but he is more than willing to help you. Very funny and tries to make an otherwise boring subject very interesting and relatable.GO TO CLASS!! He will take note of who attends and who doesn't. If you have a 5:30-8, you can only miss 1 class. Take note Freshman.

The tests are very hard so studying would be helpful. He offers a lot of extra credit and assigns a few written assignments. He likes to talk and tell funny stories about himself. He is also willing to help any who needs it.

He's a very helpful teacher. He drop the lowest test grade and he curves alot :-) He's easy to talk to, and a funny. LOL. He's also young so he's VERY understanding. Go talk to him and do ALL the extra credit and read. A guaranteed A :-)

Take notes, read the book before class, and attend his study session (which he gives extra points for). He gives you so many chances at making an A in his class if you fail you didn't try at all.

This has to be the best guy for the job at famu....he knows his stuff and he is funny with what he does. He is very very...VERY helpful....there is no way to fail his class....NO WAY!!! Take Prof. Harris! I've taken him TWICE. Both times I received a high B. And that's only because I slacked all class and then tried to rush and do everything towards the end. But he is an awesome professor and I would take him again. Will need the book. GO TO STUDY SESSIONS AND MAKE SURE HE KNOWS YOU! :)

He is the BEST TEACHER EVER... He will help you out if you come to him. Very nice and very friendly. Nothing but joy in his class. Mr. Harris is the funniest most chill teacher ever. He's always full of energy (if you'e not the kind of person to handle perky people in the morning then reconsider) but he's fair about attendance and grades so don't drop his class. He gives extra credit and once he knows your name and face you're set.

Kyle Harris is by far one of the best teachers you can take at FAMU. He is truly a blessing. Attendance is not important, like he says "we're grown." He also does any and everything to help you pass. Take him for as much classes as possible.

Professor Harris is GREAT. He's very understanding and is willing to work with you. Attendance is not checked because "It's your coins." He's very knowledgeable and loves what he does! If you're not a morning person then you might want to reconsider.

Professor Harris is the most caring professor I have ever had. He's young, understanding and brilliant. His Exams are tough, but he offers so many extra credit opportunities that it's impossible to fail unless one simply doesn't care. He even asks what you think you deserve in the class at the end of the semester.

He's really an attention grabber and keeps you engaged. I absolutely love his class.

This was my best class during my summer b term. He's very energetic and passionate about what he teaches, this class opened my eyes to the society we live in. As long as you attend class and take notes during the lectures you'll do fine. KEEP IN CONTACT WITHOUT HIM THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER. He's very understanding to things.

Professor Harris is great. Come to class although he doesn't take attendance he will remember your face at the end. Test are hard, but read the book you will be fine do what you are suppose to. Doesn't want you to fail.

Professor Harris is by far one of the best teachers I've had so far. The book is essential to passing his class, but he gives tons of extra credit and works with you as long as you communicate. Also, his lectures are great and it makes you look at things differently (referring to black society as a whole).

If you have an A, B or C at the end of the semester he will bump you to an A. If you have a D he will bump you to a C. But if you have a F there's no hope for you. He lectures (he's really EXTRA), gives a few writing assignments, and provide test through blackboard. Just do your part and you'll pass.

HE IS AMAZING! A GIFT FROM GOD! I LEARNED SO MUCH AND GAINED A WIDER SENSE OF SOCIETY!

He is extra fun. This class is a joy to come to everyday this class gave me life go to his office hours. He does take attendance sometimes not everyday. The test are very long 85 questions in one hour sometimes. Read the chapters and write the essays and see him during his office hours he doesn't want you to fail or make the class extra hard.

Amazing I Had Professor Harris as an 8am. He doesn't take attendance so I Barely Went because it's an 8 am... there were 2 major papers. The book wasn't used just take notes on lectures. All Test online so you can look up the answers. I passed With a "B"

This man is the most passionate professor I've ever come across. And you can tell him Moore said that! He is a little all over the place when it comes to lectures and extremely playful but you will leave his class a more informed student, that's certain.

This teacher honestly makes history fun! Being a proud HBCU professor he makes sure that his black pride shines and that everyone is appreciative of their melanin. I learned so much history that high school teachers wouldn't dare to touch on. He is hilarious and makes it easy to get an A as long as you make the effort to receive it.

I had the pleasure of taking both AFA 3104 and WOH 1012 with Professor Harris. He conveys his expectations of his students at the beginning of the semester. Okay Mr. Harris is the best teacher to take for social sciences classes if you have the chance. He gives 5 exams but also gives enough extra credit to help your grades.

Absolutely awesome professor. Is very caring and will work with you for you to get a good grade in his class. You can't fail this class unless you don't come at all or do the few papers he does. He gives 4 exams(midterm in class; he doesn't drop that grade) & all the answers can be found online. His class is funny as hell.

Professor Kyle is the BEST professor that I have met on campus thus far. He is caring, funny and just overall an amazing person. He gives about 4 exams which are all online and one in class mid term. He makes sure EVERYONE has a good grade at the end of the class he does not want to see anyone fail. I bought a text book but didn't really need it

Professor Harris is one of the BEST professors on campus. You will probably fail one exam but he drops the lowest test grade. He is very understanding and gives extra credit opportunities. He gives you a chance to negotiate your grade as well as curving. COME TO CLASS so he will know your face. He tells the truth and does not sugar coat anything.

He's very funny. You don't always have to show up he doesn't take roll he will have surprise quizzes though! STUDY for his test there will be 2 papers due. Lots of extra credit. He will talk mess about failing you or not fixing grades but I had a C and ended up with an A you wont fail his class.

Mr kyle is the GOAT. His test are pretty challenging, must study and listen to his lectures. He offers a lot of extra credit and it will help your grade. Doesnt take attendence but will have a lot pop quizzes when the class is empty.

Mr. Harris is by far one of my favorite and the funniest teachers at FAMU. There will be pop-up quizzes and essays from time to time. He gives TONS of extra credit and he will help you with your grades. Highly Recommended! Don't be begging him for more work towards the end because he will not listen to you. Do the work and pass!

Professor Kyle is a great teacher he does have heavy lectures in class and they are long just take notes and pay attention to the videos he plays. Do not skip class because you will miss a lot. He says you need the book but honestly, we did not use it his lectures cover everything. Overall Mr. Kyle is a great professor he is very funny.

Kyle is fuuuuuunnyyyyyyy. He has such passion for what he teaches and he shows a lot of notes and shows videos that go along with it. Tests and quizzes are never hard. Just know your material and bring your laugh box its gonna be a long class.

I loved Proff Harris his lectures can go a bit off topic but it helps keep your attention, his tests are not only textbook based but also about school history so look out for those. He gives extra credit opportunities at the end of class so look out for those. Easy A or B

Hes the best and most passionate professor Ive ever had. He genuinely cares about his students and about African American history. Youll learn so much & idk anyone who has failed his class so if you do thats bc you just didnt care & didnt show up. Its an easy pass. Theres 2 short papers & a couple online test thats it.

I LUV MR. KYLE. Let me start off by saying I took his class during the summer so Im speaking on how he teaches during the summer. This man is HILARIOUS, and so energized. You definitely wont get bored in this class. He genuinely cares about his students and wont let you fail as long as you dont do anything stupid. Hes caring and very respected

He is one of the best professors that Ive ever had. He literally changed my view of the world. Please try to speak with him as much as possible. If you dont go to class you might miss out on extra credit. He does random extra credit and attendance checks close to the end of the semester when nobody wants to show up.

Dr. Kyle is very enthusiastic and passionate with his class and students. He will offer a lot of extra credit. DO IT! If he knows you and sees you involved in his class and the community he will definitely pass you. Tests have some sneak questions so beware and make sure you network with your classmates. You will need it.

I took him during the summer and he has been by far the funniest professor that I ever had. His storytelling is phenomenal and class is never boring. Beware of the pop quizzes because he will drop them without notice. Stay on top of every assignment and visit office hours as often as possible. The more he sees your efforts the better the rewards.

Brother Kyle Harris is well informed professor, you are sure to be inspired and entertained while he is teaching, He requires participation in school events on campus for a grade if you cannot attend because of work or class he understands and you are excused. He's really passionate and funny and a kind man you wont regret taking him.

Dr. Kyle is a 10/10. Yes he tells you that you do need the textbook but honestly, I didn't open my textbook one time and I ended with a 94. Just pay attention to lectures. He drops grades at the end of the semester and gives extra credit randomly so show up. I had a C-B the entire semester till the end I got an A. Take him if you can !!!

One of my favorite professors. He genuinely loves what he teaches, wants you to learn and be the best version of yourself. He will come through in the end if u have a bad grade but its hard to fail his class. We had 4 test all semester and they got easier as we went along.

One of the best professors at FAMU! He comes to class everyday ready to teach. He is really passionate and loves history. However, you have to put in the work. Theres a quiz due everyday and you have read the text. He offers a ton of extra credit. He does provide the text for free. I definitely recommend you take him!!

He looks out for his students that put in an effort and show up to class. he assigns a bit of reading to keep up with and a few essays that can be difficult. He also has a "life happens" mindset so if you know you're going to miss class, send him a courtesy email. Also, PLEASE SHOW UP TO CLASS! Take him!!! He's literally the best teacher at famu. His lectures are really funny even though he gets sidetracked often so just read for your own. He give us the pdfs for textbook as well. Easy quizzes just read. Lowest scores will be dropped. Participation and attendance make up most of your grade. He's really understanding so communicate.

If you see Doctor Kyle teaching anything, TAKE HIM! He's a great professor and very caring in regards to his students. He help you out anyway he can. If you showed up to his class and he knows you personally he will definitely help you out at the end of the year. Had a 87 B and he rounded it up to an A.

get ready to read, there are about six books you have to read. there is a quiz almost every day, and attendance isn't mandatory but sometimes he will take attendance as a grade. There always extra credit.

Professor Kyle is engaging and passionate. His classes involve a lot of reading and daily quizzes, but he drops the lowest scores and offers generous extra credit. Unstuck study was a helpful study tool. Overall, a manageable class if you stay on top of the work.

Dr. Kyle is an amazing professor, and it would be hard to fail the class; however, be sure that you read the required readings, attempt the quizzes, attend all mandatory events, and also pay attention to announcements he may put out on Canvas.

Amazing professor! You will be overwhelmed by the constant mandatory events, pop quizzes, and having to keep up with the readings, but Dr. Kyle is very helpful pass. You'll only fail if you don't try.

Dr kyle is a pretty good professor there are a lot of assignments you have to do outside of class like going to school events, but he is pretty reasonable about your grade as long as you let him know the situation beforehand. I would only advise to take him if you plan on going to the events because they do count as a grade
