Awesome teacher, great humor and down to earth. Group work and fun class. Field trips made it interesting. I would take his classes forever if I could!

Mr. Kemp is awesome! way easy class, he tells you how to make an A and sure enough I made one. There is a LOT of group work which is annoying at times, especially when your the only one who studied some of the vocab but mostly completion grades, so even if you dont know the answer just BS it.

Very helpful instructor. Teaches in a non traditional manner that easy to understand and makes learning fun. Although the class was geared towards the arts, I enjoyed the historical and political parts of the text.

Pro. Kemp is awesome! He is funny and easy going. We grade the tests in class and weekly vocab is made into a game. Its a class you actually don't mind going too. You really do not need the book it calls for either. I used it maybe twice to look up a definition.

Mr. Kemp is awesome! He tells you exactly what is expected on the first day of class and sticks to it. To get an A in this class, all you have to do is read the chapters, do your vocab, and show up to class every single time. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who isn't afraid of a little reading!

Mr. Kemp is really fun. I enjoyed this class so much. I loved going to class and interacting with everyone. Most of us take this class just to earn the credit and Mr. Kemp understands that. He told you exactly how to make an A in the class the first day. The vocab was hard to find sometimes but as far as work and in class stuff it was a lot of fun.

You are required to go to every class, that is how you earn all your points. His so called "tests" are actually just different groups playing jeopardy with the vocab. and notes. You will get an A as long as you go to every class.

Mr.Kemp undertands that this class is required so he makes learning fun. Easiest A! All test are group test and vocab is very easy to find. Make sure to attend video days as well. I will be taking him for Humanities II

I took Kemp for humanities 1&2 and i loved his teaching style. He keeps it interesting and this class is easy to love but not easy there is work required but an A is acheivable. I learned something in every class and i wish he taught every subject.

Mr. Kemp is a very good professor. This class is by no means EASY! You need to make sure and attend class this is very important. Also you need to keep up with the vocab & themed questions. I would highly recommend this class because I learned a lot!

I took both Humn 1 & 2 with Mr. Kemp. Mr. Kemp keeps his class fun, but don't be fooled, there is work involved! It's important that you keep up with the work, and come to class if you want to get an A in his class. He is super helpful and will stay after class and talk with you about any questions might you have. I highly recommend this class!

Kemp is a great teacher. He is very easy and helpful. The hw consists of vocabulary and theme questions. All of the tests are in the form of a buzzing game so even if you didnt study you will do well except your group may hate you for not helping. I wouldnt recommend Kemp to someone looking for a traditional lecture teacher bc we watch movies alot.

I have taken humanities 3 times. I'm absolutely awful at it for some reason. But this has been my favorite class this semester. Not just because it's easy, but because he makes it so interesting. Jeopardy group tests, fairly easy theme questions, and some movies. Love it!

What a great class. Very easy. Every Tuesday we played interesting games. Every Thursday we watched a movie. You need the book but no tests. Only open book, group quiz. I took the summer class. Easy A. You have to go to every class.

Prof. Kemp was informative fun and very open-minded. He really wants you to learn to love history art culture etc. NOT a boring class. I learned the importance of study groups. He definitely believes in team work

This class was awesome, Mr Kemp loves what he does and always has good energy. I only remember doing one test (very easy). lectures consist of PowerPoint slide shows, usually shows a movie every other week and every week we would participate in group oriented games (winners omitted from exams). there was a lot of homework though.

I went into this class thinking I was going to absolutely hate it, but Prof. Kemp has a way of making it fun while still making sure you retain the information. It's not an easy A. You do have to read and you do have to study. If you show up every week and participate you will do well in this class.

Show up to EVERY class. I missed two days and it dropped me to a D. Most graded assignments are participation in class and turning in your homework. not many assignment but missing any will mess up your grade, do them and you will pass. I managed to get back up to a c+ after missing two classes and 100's on all other assignments. games in class.

Kemp is AMAZING! No lectures (seriously the best part) because you learn through videos, movies, and group tests that include essay questions. The test game played in class is the biggest motivator to study and come to class prepared. Homework is due about every other week and follows the reading spot on.

Mr. Kemp expects a lot out of you. Attendance is worth 100pts per class. But he is a truly great professor who cares about what he is teaching. He will take the time and explain if you have a question. If you do all that is asked of you, the class is an easy A. His tests are unique, yet very fun too. I highly recommend his class!

Super easy class! He is passionate about the material, we watched a movie every other week with "tests'" in between. Tests' consist of playing jeopardy in groups and the winning team gets to leave w/o taking the test. My team never lost so I didn't take a single test all semester, so pick your team wisely. Once you get past his God-awful stand up (usually in the beginning of class) you understand how easy the class is. I was asleep through about 65% of the class and still managed to get an A-. Take him if you want an easy A

I love him! learned a lot in his class! he's pretty easy if u study for the test. He has very good humor! Book is needed and you do have to read. i studied so yes it was an easy A. Plus attendance is MINATORY! I think if you miss one day its almost a whole letter grade, unless you have a legit reason to be gone then he reasons with you.

HES AMAZING! super easy class the entire class is group tests. Its alot of fun and easy!! TAKE HIM!!!!!!! You can not skip class though. One week you'll watch a movie the next is the group test. He is Father, a Teacher, a Councilor and and Administrator. He knows his job. I love him so much. His class was so interesting and fun. I was able to learn so many stuffs about Humanities. I would take him again and again and again. Just make sure you study hard. I would recommend him to anyone.

loved this class! Mr. Kemp actually makes class enjoyable! the games were fun, but also a little stressful because of the time limits BUT would 10/10 take again. Do not recommend skipping class, it's honestly so much easier to just show up!

Kemp provided a syllabus with due dates & posted vocabulary lists to study for each section at the very beginning of the course, which was helpful. The class was divided into teams & some tests were done in quiz bowl format. This was a fun class, but required a lot of interaction & reading. Having the online book with audio player was SO helpful.

In class, you will watch movies based on the content. He will give you a schedule for the whole semester so it's no surprise when the exams are. You will use an online txbook and be graded on the quizzes. You have to read because in order to get an A you have to study and work in a group to answer questions.

A lot of reading and studying, but it is generally pretty easy after a couple weeks. Half of the class is watching videos on what you read for a more visual connection to the reading. Awesome Professor

There is a lot of reading and studying to do so make time. Tests are in groups of 6 so pick your teammates wisely because you're stuck with them throughout the semester. Watch videos every other week to have a better connection with the chapters you read in the book. Easy class as long as you study.

Mr. Kemp is the dream professor when it comes to taking humanities 1. He is aware that this is a required class that no one wants to take. This is an easy class IF you are willing to study. HE gives you everything that he puts on his test (which are group tests) but you have to be willing to put in time studying what he gives you.

I loved professor Kemp's class! Extremely heavy on attendance and participation. Videos in class and "tests" every other class, where you will work with your team to answer questions and play vocabulary bowl. If you enjoy group activities, study and try your best, this is such a fun class! I wish he was full time, I would take him again and again.

Professor Kemp is a really cool dude. His class is based on the jeopardy game, so I don't recommend if you have anxiety. If you study, you'll pass, but then again you can fail 2-3 tests and pass with a B as I did.

Nice guy! Does exect you to study and learn the terms. Gives you the test questions you just have to study. Also offers competitions to not have to take the exams. Clear grading criteria and is super helpful. Communication on his part is great. Recommend to anyone needing to take humanities.

Professor Kemp is hands down once of the best professors I have had at TCC and I am graduating soon. He also teaches Humanities in a way that is actually interesting and where I cared about the subjects. Attendance is necessary to pass, so be ready to be in each class. Study for the exams and you will do great!

Professor Kemp is awesome, I took his in person hybrid class and we would watch a documentary each class date and go over the review for the test. There is a test about every 2-3 weeks and its mainly vocab and a few questions from the textbook quizzes, which you can just use quizlet for. And teams compete against one another and last takes the test

I went back to TCC just to find Professor Kemp and thank him for the style in which he taught. It was by far the best college experience I had. Professor Kemp takes a boring subject matter and made it fun. There is work, however, as well as tests and homework. He also has some heavy reading assignments, but nothing bad.

honestly no bad words for this man. fun but still serious. actually got excited to go to his class. there were some things i disagreed on and his class is heavily rooted in evolution however he never mocked other religions. encouraged class participation and our tests were pretty much set up as a game show that you competed in with partners.

If you need to take Humn 1 take Kemp.He made his class fun & enjoy coming to class. Only work there is the Chapter assignments & study. Every other class you will watch movies that goes along with the chapters you read. Study the vocab terms and the quizlets at the end of the chapters. Pick your team. So pick wisely or you might have to do the exam

Kemp was a dope professor. Super easy class. Only work you have to do is study the vocab and read chapters with questions. During classes he shows movies of the topic youre learning. He makes exams into games like Family Feud/Jeopardy, dont lose or you will have to take an actual exam after. Would definitely take his class again if needed

Professor Kemp was an excellent, respectful, funny, and laid-back instructor. He knows what he is doing, is open to all students' opinions, and grades work super fast. His class works and quizzes are simple and enjoyable. If you are not up for group challenge and work then I wouldn't recommend his course then.

Kyle was a great teacher. I'm dual enrolled and can say that this class was easier than my high school classes. He grades for attendance, so if you're absent, you get a 0 and your grade DROPS. Even if you have an excuse, he'll make you write an essay on the videos watched in class that day to make the grade up. Tests are jeopardy-style in groups.

AMAZING + FUNNY. 4 tests, jeopardy style + 1 required/standard one in the beginning. The team that loses takes them, so study and memorize the vocabulary words (I didn't take any test). Just show up and try your best. 8 assignments total -> Mcggraw Hill...Overall, fun and easy + a super understanding guy. 5/5 would take again.

Great professor! The first test and finals are by paper but the rest of the tests are jeopardy. He does assign a bit of HW but it's definitely not overwhelming. Attendance matters here! Overall a very easy and fun evening class.

Professor Kemp truly cares about his students. If you are looking for a good humanities elective this would be the one! Homework assignments are on Connect, some of them are long. They are worth 300 points though! 3 Tests are played via Jeopardy style game as a class, if your team looses the test is paper. Final is engaging as well.

Professor Kemp makes a typically dry subject engaging and enjoyable. Attendance is mandatory, but his interactive teaching style and use of Unstuck ai make the class worthwhile. Definitely take this if you want an easy A.

Professor Kemp's class this semester was fun and engaging. Most of the course material was through an online textbook, documentaries, and vocab words. Exams were kahoot style and the final was a short comprehensive essay. Show up and do the work and you'll do great. He is also very understanding and generous if life happens and will work with you!
