Mr. Kyle Martin was a very lenient and understanding professor. He always kept me on track and guided me throughout the duration of the class. I'm somebody who always gets distracted with work and other things , resulting in a bad impact on my grades, and that was no problem with this professor. I would rate him a 10/10 and I would retake him!

He teaches in a way that makes the class seem easy. He explains things thoroughly and answers every question, even if all of us have questions. He always makes it known that we can talk to him about staying after school if we need help. He also has a great sense of humor which makes the learning atmosphere very fun.

Professor Martin, is very thoughtful and caring he always makes sure all assignments meet every students needs in order to be successful. It is shown through out the class that Professor Martin shows up and does his job in order for his students to succeed rather than just showing up for the job. All in all, hands down he is the best!

Not only is Professor Martian an amazing teacher, he is also cares about his students and makes sure to help them with whatever they need, highly recommend you take his class you wont regret it. Just make sure you are in class and don´t slack off or you will regret it towards the end .

Professor Kyle Martin is by far the best math teacher I have had ever! He is very caring and explains each problem in a way that every student can understand. he offered online or in person classes and allowed you to choose what would work best with your schedule. Any questions you emailed he would email back timely and show you his work to help you understand what mistakes you might have made. Easy to follow and very fair as far as grading. highly recommend him

Mr. Martin was very helpful and responsive. His class was either in person or live online. He is very nice and easy to get along with. The pace of the class is awesome. He records so you can go back, listen and watch anything you missed. He reviews prior to exams and works out the problems with you. I would recommend his class to anyone.

Mr. Martin is awesome!!! I would highly recommend anyone to take his course. He helps the student learn the material and you can't forget his cheesy acronyms. Hey, they do help tho. Its things like that, that made it a joy to be in his class. The only thing is he only teaches Mat 151 & doesn't go any higher but besides that he is amazing.

Im not great at math but he made the content super easy to understand. Hes super nice and is flexible if you need to come in early or stay late for additional help. He gives opportunities for extra credit and is very understanding! I wish he taught 182 because I would love to take another class with him. 10/10!

Mr. Martin is a fantastic teacher, I was really hoping he taught higher math classes and unfortunately he is not currently however he stated he would love to. I 110% recommend taking his class, he makes it easy to learn and wants all his students to pass. He's best professor I have had while attending GCC and hope he moves into higher courses.

Mr. Martin is easy to understand and is clear about the expectations of the class. He is responsive when there are questions about assignments and provides clear helpful feedback. I never felt intimidated or rushed when I asked questions in class. He provided video recordings of his instruction during class which helped me study for quizzes.

Mr. Martin really cares about his students and goes out of his way to make sure you have the tools you need to succeed. His lessons are built for everyone and he offers extra help. He is quick to stop a lecture to walk through a difficult problem so we all understand. Flexible attendance, pay attention to lectures and study past tests and quizzes.

I believe he has a very interesting teaching style. Not like one I've experienced before. I do like it since it involves a lot of group work at the beginning of the semester. I can see that he has a genuine passion for his career. He gets excited to answer questions. He worked hard to become the teacher he is and it reflects.

you definitely need to show up to every class if you want to get a good grade. your grade is 100% determined by how much effort you put in. overall, the guy is really passionate about what he does and has a fun personality. i think it's fair to say he's the best option for math at gcc.

You can easily tell that he is really passionate about the subject and he really wants everyone to be able to understand the content. He also sneaks some really good financial advice in along the way. He's also just a really kind, likeable guy, and all of the exams are online, with multiple attempts, so if you focus in class you will pass.

Awesome person and teacher, willing to help if you have any issues. His midterm and finals go over each math concept learned, but are pretty much the easiest questions possible for those concepts. Would 100% recommend this guy!

Mr. Martin is a very passionate teacher he always makes sure to explain clearly how he is solving each example so it's easily understandable. If you don't understand the math at first he is always ready to answer any question you might have for him. Study well for his tests and you will have great time in his class

Overall, Mr. Martin is a good teacher. His teaching style is not very lecture heavy, if your learning style is lecture oriented, I would not recommend as it made this class fairly challenging. Aside from this, Mr. Martin is always reachable and is more than happy to go over any questions you have during office hours.

I enjoyed going to this class. It was difficult for me because I haven't done math in years. There's a lot of group work, make sure to do your homework before class so you have the materials you need. Overall a good class and Mr. Martin is cool.

Best math professor I have ever had. Cares a lot about students' success and is always willing to go the extra mile to help. He is very interested in the subject matter and therefore teaches in an engaged an interesting way. Students are always comfortable asking questions and he is great at providing useful and understandable feedback.

The teacher is very helpful and made it easy to learn, I have a hard time attaining the material I learn but the teacher did a really good job teaching. If I had to take the class again I would have him as a teacher.

I am limited to 350 characters, but Martin exceeded my expectations since week one. His canvas is neatly organized, his lessons are extremely clear, and his assignments and quizzes are very forgiving and only ever cover material you learn in lectures/assignments. He puts so much time into his classes that you would be stupid to NOT take his class.

You are fool to not take his class. This was my second math class with him and he's a great teacher. You will get an A if you try. He cares about his students. Dont go with another teacher. Everyone was 100% prepared for 100% of the in person exams questions... If you understand that, youll understand his hints.

I would definitely take him again. Tests and reviews are similar and gives credit if work is shown which is A+. Super flexible with grading. Just put in the work.

I had the immense pleasure of being taught by Professor Martin. He is the most remarkable educator I've ever had. He is very knowledgeable, very fair when grading assignments/exams. As long as you pay attention in class, participate in the lectures and make sure you're doing the homework every week you should pass this class with flying colors!

I've never been good at math, and I have always struggled with it, but taking this professor landed me with an A in both MAT151 and MAT220. He makes complicated concepts easier to understand, always answers questions from the HW if asked, and is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He genuinely cares for his students and wants them to pass.

Mr Martin is one of those professors who is so exceptional and passionate about his job that it makes you (specifically me) feel guilty about procrastination. I would highly recommend his class especially if math is not your subject. I prefer a faster pace lecture, however, I believe he has nailed the system to teach slow and fast learners alike.

The class itself is a little bit difficult, especially if you don't put in the work and effort, but Mr Martin does a wonderful job of making it easier for his students. All the units and lessons are available online so that you can study on your own time at home if you're struggling, and video lessons are attached as well.

Mr. Martin is who you need to take if you truly want to understand the material. It won't be the easiest math class you've taken, and the CFU homework problems will push the limits of your patience. However, they're difficult for a reason, as they solidify the core concepts if you take the time to work through them, making the tests much easier.

Honestly, one of the best professors I've had. Super clear, super chill, and responds to emails promptly. The class was organized and made sense (bless), and he made some tough stuff way easier to understand. You can tell he actually cares if you're learning or not. Would 100% take another class with him 10/10, no notes, give this man a raise.

If you have to take MAT212 you NEED to take it with Mr.Martin. This course was easily one of the best classes I've taken. Mr.Martin truly cares about his students and wants everyone to pass with a good understanding of the material covered. Textbook is supplied through pdf copy in canvas (I didnt even need it) and there is an attendance incentive.

He is actually the best. He made the most difficult math make sense and less daunting. I will always have the most respect for him

Really great guy, not many professors care about their work as much as this guy does and you can tell. He is SO busy and yet he will always seem to make time for any student needing support and do it with a smile on his face. Also - he loves game of thrones, so that's how you know he's goated. One of the good teachers I have met. Course is intimidating in the beginning, but Mr. Martin makes sure it is divided into bits and pieces to make sure it is easy to follow and understand. 10/10 would recommend if you have a Math Class. He is patient and explains well when you have any inquiry.

The lesson videos are easy to understand, and there is plenty of inclass practice. He gives indepth, step-by-step explanations on how to solve each problem.I recommend reviewing the unit tests, as they prepare you well for the two proctored exams. Without a doubt, not only the best math professor, the best professor in general at GCC. Professor Martin really cares for his students, and always encourages to ask questions. His way of teaching is extremely effective considering how difficult the material already is. If you have a math course and one of his classes is open, take it. PLEASE.

You watch video notes outside of class and go through examples in person, which is so annoying (not hybrid btw). 3 big exams 2 40% 1 30%, lowest bumped 10% if 90%+ attendance, plus a small notecard cheat sheet. Exam is literally the study guide w/different numbers. Class is manageable but STUDY!!

Professor Martin was a great teacher! I really thought I would struggle with Calculus but he made it easy to understand with lots of opportunities to keep your grades up!
