Professor Plussa is very inspirational, passionate, and experienced within the field of criminal justice. He was a great professor who truly gave us a full introduction to criminal justice. The lecture videos help a lot with assignments and quizzes. Also, he did Justice Community Conversations which were zoom call "podcasts", those were insightful!
Professor Plussa was very knowledgable in the field of criminal justice, he gave many real case examples to connect the modules which was very helpful.
Prof. Plussa excels in CJ, blending theory with real-world examples. Weekly podcasts explore diverse political viewpoints, enriching discussions. His engaging videos bring insights, fostering critical thinking. Highly recommend for a dynamic, comprehensive education. Prof. Plussa's commitment showcases him as an exceptional, dedicated educator.
The professor is very dedicated to the work he does and his lectures reflect that. The class is mainly discussion post and quizzes, and there is a good portion of critical thinking tasks. Overall the class is well put together, and as long as you do the work you should be good. Would recommend taking.
I highly recommend this class! Professor Plussa is dedicated to his work and teaching his students. While there are a few lengthy discussion posts, if you love criminal justice you'll do great.
Prof. Plussa is very passionate about what he teaches. There was a lot of busy work for this class and some very long discussion posts. If you put the work in and like this subject, this class is easy. It is obvious that he cares about his students and wants you to succeed.
COURSE NUMBER: CCJ 4450 - CRN 50090 DATE WRITTEN: 6-17-2024, 12:10 AM A dedicated professor that loves what he does, and it clearly shows in his lectures and his videos he shares with the class. Lot of lectures, but with lots of important information you WILL need to know. All in all, a solid class with a great teacher.
Professor Plussa Is an amazing professor. He cares about his students and wants to see you succeed. If you do what you're supposed to do you'll do very well in this course.
The structure and organization of Professor Plussa's class were amazing. With weekly meetings to make sure we are all on task, 3 assignments due a week that were absolutely easy to get done if you managed your time well, and lots of extra-credit opportunities, his lectures on YouTube were set up to correspond with weekly assignments and exams.
The lectures were educational and interesting. Professor Plussa is a kind, inspirational man who wants his students to be the best and learn all he has to share. Tests are long but manageable, lectures are long but not so bad, assignments require critical thinking, there are a lot of extra credit opportunities that also benefit you in the long run.
Professor Plussa offers numerous extra credit opportunities,His innovative teaching style is exceptional as he incorporates real-world experiences video from his law enforcement career, and podcast interviews into his lectures. This creative approach creates an immersive and interactive learning experience super engaging.
This Professor was one of the best professors that I have had. Assignments were always easy to complete. Due to this class being an online course for me, attendance was not mandatory but if you came to the zoom meeting then you earn extra credit. There are so many ways to earn extra credit for this course. You have to really try to fail this course
For 4450 Leadership and Management, Professor Plussa did a phenomenal job. It is a pretty easy course, but you get what you put in to it. I didn't use the textbook as much, but his lectures and videos shared are the key to passing this class. It was online, but the zoom meetings are important as they give you an advantage on the exams.
A great class, you learn about the class material but more so about things that would help you in your career. 10/10 would take again. The class meetings are not mandatory but highly recommended. With the lectures containing all the needed information to pass and more than usual opportunities for extra credit, it is extremely hard to fail.
Professor is AMAZING!! Definitely takes his job seriously and cares about his students and their work a lot. He wants everyone to be successful. The only issue is there is A LOT of videos to watch, but he uses real body cam footage which is cool. My only advice is to make sure you manage your time wisely. No essays just video recordings mainly.
Professor Plussa was great. I had him for a six-week leadership & management class and he was very easy to reach and communicate with. Most of his material was videos, stuff like interviews and other short informational clips. A lot of extra credit opportunities, and I believe he is a very helpful professor. One of the best that I've had at FGCU.
Professor Kyle Plussa at Florida Gulf Coast University is an exemplary educator whose dynamic teaching style and deep commitment to student success make him an invaluable asset to the university.
One of the most striking aspects of Professor Plussa's teaching is his extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of criminal justice. He brings a wealth of real-world experience to the classroom, having worked in various capacities within the criminal justice system.
I would honestly take his class again, easy class as long as you do all homework and pay attention. Give you plenty of opportunities to earn extra credit. I receive feedback and way I can improve on assignments. Easy grader, just show up in meeting to earn extra credit and do the assignment. Nothing but positive to say about this professor
Will recommend this class for a full term rather than a mini term due to the amount of material he goes over. highly recommend watching the videos with no distractions and attending the meetings as he goes over many important keys for his assignments and exams. very interesting class for those in criminal justice and legal studies.
This professor loves to teach and is very well at it. He cares for the students and wants them to succeed.
Professor Plussa is by far one of the most amazing professors I've ever had. I frankly took this course because it's required to graduate. But, I very soon found myself enjoying his course. His lectures are in the form of YouTube videos so you can start and stop them at your own pace. Overall he's an amazing professor and I'd highly recommend him!!
The course is content heavy but the assignments are easy to complete.
Professor Plussa's Class was unlike any online class I've taken before. He focuses a lot on experience for the future through video responses and other similar assignments. It prepares you well for these interactions. He cares a lot about his students, and he granted me extensions when I had to stay in the hospital. Very enjoyable class.
He is the best teacher I've taken so tar, it was so easy to communicate with him, and he always send feedback to homework. I have no issues at all with the class just do the homework and show up for the meeting. He made sure everyone participate and understand the material will definitely take his class again. Material was easy to follow, also fun
Professor Plussa is an outstanding educator! He's engaging, responsive, and genuinely cares about his students. He went above and beyond to write me a recommendation letter with a quick turnaround. His real-world law enforcement experience brings valuable insights to the classroom. Highly recommend!
He was good I liked his extra credit but I didn't like how kind of tough his tests were. But if you have the time to watch about 6-7 hours of videos every week take him.
Take him I was initially scared because it looked like a lot of work (kinda is), but it was easy to get the hang of. Ab 3hrs of videos a week, no textbook. Weekly meetings if you want to go. Weekly quizzes which can be hard if you do not take notes. Learned so much. He is so funny in his videos and annocements. Very kind and caring. Great feedback
I have never taken someone like Professor Plussa. He teaches in a way that makes you feel the passion and love he has for what he does. No exaggeration the best teacher/professor I've ever had in my life and it's not even close. I just recently requested he be my recommendation letter to law school. Don't be dumb, take his class and thank me later.
He is the best professor ever! Lots of lectures and videos. It's how he teaches and he tells you up front on 1st day of class. Other professors will assign chapters to read in a textbook that someone else wrote and assign you busy work. Not Plussa. Three things everyone needs to have: Critical thinking; attention to detail, big boy/girl pants.
Professor Plussa has a very unique and guided structure to his class. He is very committed too his students learning and understanding of the material. The class is very straight forward if you attend his weekly meetings and simply watch the videos. If your looking for a fair, unique and good learning environment Professor Plussa is the guy.
Professor Plussa is one of a kind, you will never have a professor like him. His teaching style is one of a kind, he does not believe in textbooks and his style of teaching is interesting to say the least. His class is lecture based mostly with one weekly lecture as well as multiple videos of him either interviewing other law enforcement officials.
Professor Plussa is an amazing professor. He cares deeply about his students and genuinely wants to see them succeed. His lectures are engaging and informative, providing a solid foundation for understanding the course material. Do all the module work and stay on top of the assignments, you'll be well-prepared to excel on quizzes and projects.
I logged into my first zoom meeting and was told by Professor Plussa himself that he is "like no other professor and this course is like no other you can take". And I can say he was not wrong at all. No textbooks. No reading. Straight facts. Straight videos of reality. Nothing hidden. His teaching style is impeccable. His lectures show his love.
Professor Plussa is unlike any professor I have ever had, by far my favorite. I was blown away by the personal experiences and real-life examples he shared throughout the course. I am a better Criminal Justice Professional because of him and am glad I had him as my Introductory teacher. He laid a great basis for my other CJ courses.
Professor Plussa is a great professor who cares about his students and gives good advice. To be successful, you will need to join his lectures and take good notes. Write down the important facts, even for the supplemental videos. Quizzes can be difficult but if you take good notes on the material, you should be good.
Professor Plussa is an amazing professor. He cares about his students and wants to make sure we have the resources we need to succeed. This is my second time taking a class with him and he does not disappoint. Make sure to watch lecture content and you will do great.
You can tell he enjoys what he teaches. This course is very structured. He uploads a lot of useful videos. However, it is not easy A; effort is crucial to be successful in this course; it is very lecture and content-heavy. I loved the class and the professor!
I thought the class was really enjoyable and I actually learned a lot from it. The use of videos and real-world examples are very helpful because it isn't just looking at random assignments, they are all applicable. The only thing I have to "complain" about is the depth of PowerPoints. They contain a lot of facts and hard to remember it all.
This course is outstanding and highly recommended. The professor's passion for teaching and genuine care for students is very evident. While there are many videos, they're engaging and far better than textbooks. The course is well organized and low-stress. If you stay focused and put in the effort, you'll succeed and gain valuable knowledge.
Professor Plussa isn't like any professor I've ever had before but in a good way. You can tell in his lectures and assignments that he is passionate about his job and cares that his students are learning the material without having the answers handed to them. I would definitely take a class with him again.
Professor Plussa is a great professor he is accommodating and understanding. His class is truly different from other online classes but I think its for the best the class moves at a decent pace but you will get behind if you miss even one week because the lectures and videos can be long but overall this is a good class to take and a good professor
Professor Plussa was one of the best professors i've ever taken . His Class isn't meant for you to cheat you need to actually put the work in . All assignments are straight forward as long as you watch the videos & pay attention you shouldn't have any issues . He also gives tons of extra credit opportunities & always responds to his students.
He's a hard teacher with many assignments but is very reachable. His lectures and the power points he gives are word for word the same.
Great field experience. Provided real-life examples of several situations that he encountered himself and his colleagues endured. Truly cares if you're learning. The teaching style was a little tough, considering he is heavy on critical thinking and material conveyed was not always clear if you don't put in the effort to gain strong understanding.
At the beginning of this course I was very nervous as I didn't know what to expect. Professor Plussa has been unlike any teacher. Not only are the lectures interactive and entertaining, they are also extremely inspirational. The proudest thing I can say about this course is that I left with so much more desire to make something of myself.
Professor Plussa is hands down the greatest professor I have taken out of my 4 years at FGCU. He truly cares about his student's success and shows great passion for what he does. He filled me with a great amount of knowledge not only in criminal justice but also in life. You will never have a professor like this one, TRUST ME.
Professor Plussa is like no other professor I've ever had. At the beginning of the semester, this intimidated me, but I am so grateful for how much he cares about his students. From the beginning, he tells you exactly what the course is about and what to expect. I have gained much more knowledge in his class than in any other one due to his style.
Professor Plussa makes the material engaging and understandable, using real-life examples and videos that connect lessons to actual situations. His approachable style encourages questions and fosters clarity. This method not only keeps students motivated but also promotes critical thinking, especially for those passionate about criminal justice.
When I first joined the course I was hoping for a fun introductory level elective. The course itself was not very hard, but quizzes include tedious fill in the blank questions. The class is very quiz heavy. Prof Plussa is unlike other professors, he is extremely involved and personally invested in the course, his strong personality shines through.
Professor makes it easy to obtain an A if you watch all of the video lectures and supplemental videos. He was unlike any other professor I have ever had truly wanting his students to succeed. He holds students accountable but makes his lectures interesting and tangible. He is accessible but makes you use critical analysis every step of the way.
Some modules can be a little time consuming, but they are relatively easy. I did not mind this class at all. If you are looking for a non stressful professor I highly recommend taking a class with professor Plussa.
This Professor has been great to work with I very much like the personality he brings along with his lectures, he does lecture heavy in my personal opinion but it is needed for the CJ major. I liked the way he set up his modules and the way he graded them.
I registered for this course as an extra elective I needed and Professor Plussa said he was unlike any other professor you can take. I found that to be true as Professor Plussa has lots of experience in the criminal justice field and has filmed countless interviews with officers and important people in criminal justice settings.
Professor Plussa is a great teacher and does a very good job with applying real world situation in this course. However, his tests are a bit confusing so take notes. His zoom meetings are usually an hour long but its not bad but he has videos that do take up a good amount of time. Overall, he is a good teacher and is very interesting.
In the beginning Prof.Plussa told us this class and himself as a teacher would be like no other and he was 100% correct. He shares his own personal experiences as a way to teach his class and it really inspires you in many ways. He teaches his students criminal justice studies but he also teaches them perspective, and hope. He is an amazing Prof.
Prof. Plussa really cares about what we takeaway from this course. There are no textbooks and rarely any readings. He also is very organized with assignments and quizzes within canvas. Paying attention and taking notes over his lectures and videos that are included as well, is key. With the right attitude and effort, you'll be good with this class.
There was a quiz every week based off the lecture and they were based off critical thinking which were difficult at times. He is a very great professor that cares about his students and had very inspirational lectures. There were many extra credit opportunities that helped out your grade a lot. I would take him again.
Awesome teacher! Lots of feedback.
There is probably more video to watch every week instead of lecture and the quizzes every week have a lot of verbatim questions that are hard. It is hard to get an answer from him so be prepared to be able to figure things out on your own.
This course was a total surprise! The professor is super unique, and I learned a ton. The class is super video-heavy, which made it really engaging. I learned so much from this course, and I'd definitely take another one with him. There are a lot of assignments, but if you watch the videos, it's a breeze to pass.
Professor Plussa is someone who you will learn so much from. I highly recommend this course as he is so easy to learn from and provides so many opportunities. In class we watch his body cam footage from his law enforcement experiences. Its honestly hard to fail this class and if you provide minimal effort then you will pass. Highly recommend.
Professor Plussa is someone I would highly recommend and has a very efficient teaching style. In online lectures we watch his body cam footage and learn from him being a law enforcement officer. This class is hard to fail as long as you provide minimal effort you will do well because Prof. Plussa is chill and a really nice guy.
Professor Plussa is a very experienced professor in the area of criminal justice, and I think he does a good job going over a lot of material, and a diverse amount of material, but a lot of his grading is based on small irrelevant things. Sometimes based on attention to detail over material.
Professor Plussa was a great professor he held weekly class lectures where he talked about the content for the week. Majority of what was said in the videos was on the quizzes for the week. He got the content across easily and made sure we understood what we were learning. He was a great professor and overall would take him again.
***LISTEN UP*** Plussa is THE BEST prof. I've ever had anywhere, I've been to many. He's unlike any other and tells you what to expect the 1st night so there's no surprises. He's "lecture heavy" but they're AMAZING! No books someone else wrote, just videos that he's MADE. He's inspiring, funny, and from the real-world. You won't regret taking him!!
The class is very lecture-heavy, and quizzes are only in 3-day windows on the weekends, with the teacher's office hours only being on weekdays. I wouldn't recommend this class as an "easy elective."
Class was easy as long as you followed along and did the assigned work. Tests relied heavy on the lectures and videos, just take notes and it will be a lot easier. He communicated well and tried his best to make the course as simple as possible.
Professor Plussa is hands down the most legit instructor I've ever had. He calls himself an “educator” and takes that role very seriously. He wants his students to succeed but won't pass you. His grades are earned, you will pass yourself. If you pay attention, take notes, and listen to him and the many winners on here, you'll pass with an easy A.
He was a good professor, taught me a lot of things. Though the quizzes were a lot of work, I felt more knowledgeable after completing them.
I enjoyed his course! Though his quizzes contained a lot of effort to get a good grade on them, I only learned more throughout the course. His lectures allowed for me to be more sufficient in what I was learning compared to any other course that presented us with a different chapter to read every week, followed by a repeated and ordinary quiz.
The most down to earth professor that exists, at least that have ever had. He cares. He's cool. Plussa sets you up for success in his course and in life with what and how he teaches. He loves what he does and it shows. His lectures are like entertainment you'd buy tickets for. Get your popcorn ready, have an open mind, and some big boy/girl pants!!
Professor Plussa is THE BEST!! You won't regret taking his course. He makes them his own and helps prepare you for life and not just exams. His methods are effective. I learned so much about many things, even beyond criminal justice. It's not a free and easy A. You've got to earn it but he makes that easy. Excited to take his 4000 class next term!
Professor Plussa is possibly one of the best professors I've had. He has a very different dynamic that really helps you learn and understand concepts better. There are weekly quizzes but he gives you a lot of resources to do your best. He looks for effort and attention to detail matters!
He presents important information very carefully, and you need to know what to look for. If he hints at something being even a little important you need to pay attention to that, as it will likely be on the quiz.
Professor Plussa is a great instructor who not only teaches the material well but also expands on mental health and life lessons that will stay with you far beyond the end of the course. It was truly a blessing having him as my professor, and anyone who has him in future years is in for an amazing yet thought-provoking class.
Amazing proffesor
This professor was great because the class and assignments helped me grow my critical thinking skills. I appreciated taking a course that will help me in the real world and I would recommend this class to everyone. The course material is also interesting, and it made learning and taking this class fun. Overall, it helped me succeed.
Plussa is an excellent Professor. With extensive firsthand experience in the criminal justice field, he brings valuable real-world insight to this course. He encourages you to think critically and cares a lot about your feedback. He organizes this course well and offers many extra credit opportunities. I would highly recommend him as a Professor.
Professor Plussa holds non-mandatory online lectures once a week that he records and uploads to canvas. While they're not mandatory to attend you HAVE to watch them to be able to do the quizzes and exams. He is a great professor and his class is not hard if you actually put in the work and effort.
Professor Plussa doesn't take any excuses but he does lay the course work out for you and it is really up to you to pay attention and actually watch the lectures and videos. Also, start the FEMA certifications early because I did experience technical difficulties.
Professor Plussa's class consists of a weekly quiz based off of around 2 hours of videos to take notes on, he provides very real life experiences and has weekly conversations with important figures that allows for you to get a better understanding of how the real world works. You have to pay attention heavily as the quizzes are quite specific.
Professor Plussa was a great professor, and is very knowledgeable. The lesson and videos presented throughout the semester were very engaging. When Professor Plussa says this was a no stress zone he truly means it. Everything is laid out well and instructions are clear and easy to understand.
Plussa is hands down the most effective instructor I've
Passionate and inspirational instructor. Has video content with a quiz each week. Has a unique and engaging teaching style that helps you learn so much while making it fun. Clear with instruction and provides extra credit.
Professor Plussa was 100% one of my favorite professors. If you don't like reading this class is for you. He uses video lectures as well as real life applications to help you understand the concept. I have already registered to take his class in the spring.
Professor Plussa is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! Like it doesn't even come close. He's in a league of his own as a true educator and not just another instructor. Your grade is earned, not given for free. Have an open mind, maturity, and get ready to learn for life!
Mr. Plussa was a great professor lays everything out in the beginning of the semester. To help you know what is expected of you. You will do great in his class by staying on top of all the due dates. Also, he is very good at responding back to emails.
It's one of those classes that has a decent amount of work in the form of watching videos. But if you do that and apply yourself you should be Gucci. The teacher is nice and cares about the content he is teaching. Grades are mostly composed of weekly quizzes with some easy assignment sprinkled in with a final exam. Lots of extra credit throughout.
Easy class, LISTEN TO ALL LECTURES, very lecture heavy, did not need textbook, nice and interesting professor, tough grader, a lot of work every week.
Zoom calls are helpful but not necessary. All of his interviews are about himself and generally just talks about himself.
Overall a very good teacher gives you everything you need throughout the semester it's just a matter of you staying on top of it.
Very good teacher who loves the course and always does his best to be optimistic about everything. Online course with a lot of video content and quiz every week. Have to stay on top of the work and not get behind.
Be prepared for weeks worth of ample video content, detailed lectures, and real world explanations. Prof. Plussa can come off as intense in the beginning, stacking on hours worth of videos and detailed quizzes. However, he has your best interests in mind. Each video, lecture, and interview gives new perspective that is vital to success.
There is a lot of material to go over but Prof. Plussa, makes it in an orderly fashion, so it doesn't seem overwhelming. try not to stress yourself out with this class and be sure to watch all of the videos.
Plussa is dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate about the subject, which made a lasting impression. The course offers plenty of opportunities for critical thinking. However, if you're someone who benefits from interactive conversations, I recommend finding study partners before or as you take the class.
Professor Plussa is truly an expert in his field! Throughout the course, I was blown away by his years of CJ experience and top notch lectures. His expertise translated into course assignments and material as we got to see REAL police footage from his service and peers. If you are doing your best in the course, you will get an A.
This professor has a lot of experience in the field he teaches, making him a very reliable source of information and an even better teacher. He has an amazing backstory and an amazing background in law, which he uses to teach everyone, while also making the classes fun and entertaining to tune into.
The professor was great and you can tell he is very passionate about his career. The course contains a lot of lectures and supplemental videos, but they are all interesting and help you understand the content more effectively. The class is easy to maintain a good grade in if you actually watch the lectures and take notes.
Professor Plussa is a dedicated, driven, and passionate professor and officer who truly loves both of his jobs. You cannot BS this course. Participate, attend lectures, watch all module content, give your best effort, and you will easily pass this class. He cares about each student and provides great feedback for all assignments.
This class solidified that I want to work in criminal justice. His teaching style is different, using a lot of videos. However, you will learn more in this class than you do in any others. I truly believe that this is the best professor. He uses real-world examples and gives amazing lectures. He also works in criminal justice, having experience.
Great professor and individual. Very interesting lectures. Really knows what he is talking about and is passionate about the subject matter. 10/10
The best professor. He is passionate and cares about his class. SO funny and understanding. Most challenging class I've taken, but it is not hard if you watch the videos and take notes. The tests were not what I expected at first, but you learn what type of questions he will ask. Attend the lectures and do the extra credit in the first few weeks.
Challenging class. not hard. Watch the videos and take notes. Very funny guy. Can't BS in this course. learned so much. His whole course is untraditional but it was great. Love how he teaches and overall is a great guy. If you want to actually learn and get something out of it take his class. Weekly quiz and lecture. Lots of extra credit.
Watching the lectures and thinking critically is a big component of the class. I recommended to go over the videos multiple times over and in depth and to think critically about them for the quizzes at the end of each week. If you're unable to do that you most likely won't pass. He is a great professor and is very passionate about what he does.
Class is easy, the lectures are important, there is no need for a textbook, the professor is fascinating, the grader is challenging, and there is a lot of work each week.
Prof Plussa is very kind and is a good teacher. He is understanding, but is sometimes hard to reach outside of class due to an outside job. I personally wish more reading was involved in this course, but it is mainly videos and a weekly quiz. He is not too harsh of a grader, as long as you watch the videos.
Incredible professor from start to finish. Genuinely cares about each and every one of his students and puts his all into everything that has to do with this course. Best professor I've ever had and I'd strongly recommend if you ever get lucky enough to get the chance to take him.
Professor Plussa doesn't want you to stress at all, which you rarely see in professors. Course is based on real-world experience, and it's an easy class if you pay attention and stay involved! Professor is super insightful, incredibly understanding, and values student relationships. Definitely recommend you take him at least once!
Professor Plussa was a great teacher! Make sure to fit more time in your schedule because the lectures itself are about 1 hour long most of the time, plus his community conversations and additional videos that range about an hour as well. His tests go from both multiple choice and response questions, in which critical thinking is a big must.
Professor Plussa was a great professor. He is fair with grading and assignments. He never gave any crazy work, just a quiz and a couple of assignments due on Sundays, nothing ever crazy.
Professor Plussa was very motivational and provided real-life applications when it came to his lectures which created more engagement. He cares very much about his profession, and it shows through his teaching and feedback to students. Quizzes could be a bit tedious.
Professor Plussa is very good at what he does and genuinely cares about his students. He wants everyone to succeed. Going over the videos and thinking critically about the course content is also important as there are weekly quizzes and lectures. The course is simple as long as you stay on top of things. Lots of extra credit too which really helps.
I would recommend this class to others because it can't get more real-world than this. He comes from a background of what he teaches and loves what he does. He shows every angle and gets all of his knowledge out from when he was doing this firsthand, with real-life examples. He is teaching us the right things in the best way possible!
Prof. Plussa has a different style of teaching from most professors but he still is extremely proud of his students and the criminal justice industry. Yes there are some big lectures but they are full of very important information and theory and are incredibly impactful for both school and in everyday life. This class has been one of my favorites.
DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN T
DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN HIM! Prof. Plussa is probably
His lectures were the highlight for me. Many people complain that there's a lot of videos, yet Prof. Plussa lays it all out on opening night. He trades a textbook one other author wrote for videos from all over, many that he made. Not shocked by his final exam. Nothing to study for, just pay attention every week and learn how to think critically.
I went through something medically hard this semester which made me miss some assignments so when I contacted the professor with proof that I actually had a procedure done he still denied me the chance to redo assignments and told me to withdraw from the course. Although that happened I wouldn't say his course work is hard at all.
Before starting the course, I heard that your teaching style is engaging and dynamic, with real-world examples and lots of class participation. I was also told you're approachable and good at simplifying complex concepts, which made me excited and confident about the course.
Takes his work as a professor very seriously, and he's the best professor I've ever had! He's fair and makes learning fun! His course is manageable but the final exam is no walk in the park. Pay attention. Go to his lecture meetings, take notes and ask him questions. He's so funny! Most of all, as he'll remind you: put on your big boy/girl pants.
Constant reminders that we're not children anymore and responsible for our own learning, we're a little off putting at first but in the end his methods were spot on. Prof. Plussa says he's like no other but really it's no other is like him. I've never learned so much in one course about life than with him. He's makes learning fun. He is the best!
I enjoyed learning about CJ, but the grading was unfair and inconsistent. Despite hard work, I got a low grade with no constructive feedback. Through out the semester, it was nearly impossible to gauge our standing because the professor used points instead of the regular grading rubric. The final exams were excessive and overshadowed the course.
He requires to post on Rate my professor and screenshot it as a grade.
Prof. Plussa is an okay professor but can be hard on you if you do not agree with his STRONG opinions. He is a good person deep down, but it is often hard to see. I did not hold myself to my values in this course, as I prioritize my grades. Do not take this professor if you get offended.
This class is NO JOKE. Like it's not your typical 1001-intro course. You really have to listen and think. He gives you more than enough chances for extra credit to get the grade you want if you actually work for it. It's like you have to intentionally suck at being a student to fail this class. Would take him again for anything. Solid bet!
The best professor, period! As real as it gets and wasn't kidding when he said the keyboard warriors would be on here trolling him after they bottom out in the final exam and never went to the class meetings. He has so much extra credit like this. He doesn't hold back and doesn't hold your hand. He introduces students to how the real world is.
Not like other instructor. Really wish I had signed up for his other course for spring because it's full already. Very fair and very down to earth. He really cares about his students and his work and it shows. He is the best teacher I've ever chosen to take. His lectures are like speeches I'd pay to see. Very glad I did. You will be too.
I got a good grade but would not take this professor again. He is very tough and believes in his beliefs and if you don't agree with them get ready for an argument or your grade to drop. I never said anything or disagreed with him that's why I received a good grade. But his way of grading and the tests are can be improved.
He gives a change to do extra credit but alot of them are objective assignments and if you dont get the correct answer as in the exact same "perspective" ANSWER as him he will mark it 0. Even though the question will be based on perspective. I took this class last semester and I needed to take him again but I chose not to.
He claims attendance is not mandatory but in the end of the semester will grade your effort assignment based on if you showed up to class or not. He also requires us to post on rate my professors and he indirectly tells us to make it positive or he will remove it from rate my professor.
Despite the attendance being not mandatory, professor mocks students who receives low grades for not attending live lectures, even if they have watched all the recorded sessions. Unfair for those who work fulltime and chose a virtual class specifically flexibility. The lack of understanding and professionalism from the "professor" is unacceptable.
NEVER AGAIN!!
Does not really teach. just reads off of powerpoints then talks about his life Also if you have kids around while watching his lectures, put the volume down as he tends to curse while talking.
Nice teacher but tough grader. Wish I had studied more but I was super busy.
Very fair professor. Will not sugar coat things and some of the students who are used to being served like delicate and fragile minded children really got their feelings hurt. Plussa was kind and fair but called them out on their immaturity and their crap. Be warned if you need emotional bubble wrap. This class is actually worth paying tuition for!
This professor is very down to ew
One of the better ones. Goes over the syllabus on the first night of class and takes an hour for questions to make sure everyone knows what's expected and there are no surprises and excuses. Very understanding for me when I emailed him that my kids were home sick. He's really easy to talk to about things. Would take him for anything he teaches.
He doesn't do busy work or discussions with replies. Plussa is serious about his instruction and doesn't send you off into a textbook, assigning pages and testing you on your reading skills. He grades on your critical thinking skills. Had a hard time with that at first because he's very different, but had a ton of extra credit. Impossible to fail.
Prof. Plussa could teach others how to give good and powerful lectures. Refreshing that he actually knows how to make an online course exciting and fun. Very honorable, called out some in the beginning for complaining and shared that 1 of the 150 of us was currently homeless and still going to class and not complaining. He set our perspective.
Excellent communicator. I just got an email update from him on the similarities and differences between his 1020 and 4450 courses. This professor never leaves us in the dark and always wants us to feel prepared for success and provides us with all the information needed to have an stress-free learning experience.
Fair, honest, and an overall great teacher. You will learn a lot, about the subject matter, about life, and about yourself — if you try. Wish I would have gone to his class meetings each week. I just watched the recordings at first but it all started to click together once I started going. Nobody does it like Professor Plussa does. He's THE BEST!
Probably one of the better ones. His intro course was so good and rich with meaningful content, I signed up for his senior leadership course. He emailed the class today, on Christmas Eve, reminding us not to spend our Christmas money on textbooks until we go to his first meeting opening night of class. Stand-up professional!
Take this professor if you hate yourself
Never again
He is a tough professor and unfair.
Loves to lecture, but they're actually good and meaningful. Like you're actually going to learn something and not just for class and the exam but for real life. Professor Plussa was very supportive and helpful with giving me a recommendation letter for a job application. His mock interview assignment in his leadership management class was awesome.
I work 12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule. Said the "zoom meetings weren't mandatory" and call me out for not attending lectures on a weekly basis (WAS REMINDED ON MANY OCCASIONS OF ROTATION) Would make smart remarks regarding lessons and assignments to me in emails and other lectures for not understanding material. Do not recommend taking him
Professor Plussa is very passionate about what he teaches. All his lectures require you to think outside the box. He is also great at providing real life examples relating to everything you learn in the course. He does not take nonsense and encourages students to act grown and hold themselves responsible.
His lectures are very knowledgeable and hold a lot of key information for interviews and leadership. The information is very useful. Each module has around four additional videos to watch, and they tend to be more than an hour EACH. It is a lot of information to retain for the final, especially since the final is worth A LOT.
He was great. Super kind and taught the class very well. Every class was different, and there was a lot of new information. He is super helpful, both class-related and unrelated to class. Clear grading style. If I weren't graduating, I would take him again. Highly recommended if you want a little bit of a challenge.
If you want a little bit of a challenge, I would take this class. I highly recommend it to everyone. The majority of the information you learned can be used in the real world.
Professor Plussa is a supportive, engaging professor who truly values effort. He was very accommodating because I showed up, participated, and worked hard. He doesn't tolerate laziness and pushes students to do their best. His zoom lectures are always amazing and engaging. This course is material you will use throughout your life. Take his course!
I absolutely loved this class. I have had Plussa for both of his courses and have to say he is one of my favorite professors and the material he teaches is so beneficial for criminal justice students and future career paths. He sets each student up for success as long as you put in the effort to try and learn. 10/10 would recommend both classes.
10/10 would recommend this class to anyone who is a visual learner. Professor plussa teaches through lectures and requires a lot of critical thinking for me I loved it as I am actually able to take it ALL in. He will be on your side from day one as long as you adhere to his simple rule of putting on your big boy/girl pants.
Professor Plussa's class was not hard at all as long as you focus and pay attention to his lectures you will be fine. He was also very understanding!
Professor Plussa's class was not hard at all as long as you focus and pay attention to his lectures you will be fine.
I would definetly recommend taking this course. Overall the course has a fair amount of assignments nothing that cannot be completed. Easy access to communication to the professor just give him time for a response. It is worth and in your best interest to get in contact with professor if you have any issues as he is very helpful.
Take his class! I had Professor Plussa for both Intro to Criminal Justice and Leadership and Management. It's safe to say that I've learned more about life and things I'll actually use than in any other one class, in all of my years of school. He will back you up for success if you act like an adult. You'll need your Big Boy/Girl Pants everyday!
Professor Plussa is one of FGCU's gems! He genuinely cares about his students and their success. The only thing you have to do in his class is try! He provides all instructions clearly and gives you more than enough time to complete everything. I 100% recommend taking both of his classes and getting to know him as a person.
Plussa is an excellent teacher who genuinely cares about his students' success. The material you learn in this class is valuable and will benefit you for life. Attending his online meetings is extremely helpful and will set you up for success. As long as you watch the lectures, take good notes, and think critically, you'll do well in this class.
Professor Plussa was easily one of the best professors I've had. His lectures were super engaging and fun to watch. Something that really stood out to me was his feedback. On basically every assignment he would give super detailed feedback. I can tell that he really cares about seeing his students succeed. Great class, I 100% recommend.
Professor Plussa was absolutely amazing. I learned so much in this course, and it really helped me to think more critically about a lot of topics. His weekly lectures were super interesting and fun to watch. He would also give feedback on a lot of assignments. Overall, he is an amazing professor, and if you are taking this course, take Plussa.
Professor Plussa is probably the best teacher I've ever had. He cares about you, your goals, and your success. He's real world. Bring your A-game and wear your big boy/girl pants because he will call you on it if you don't. Only the immature students who acted like children had a bad time. Prof. Plussa is the best, take him for as much as you can!
Overall great professor. Pretty clear on all of the assignments. Lectures are posted online if you cannot attend them via zoom. Easy grader. Work load not heavy. Content really interesting. Would 100% take his class again.
I think Professor Plussa was a good teacher. It took me a minute to like him, but after he helped me with the lecture material and had personal talks about my future, I realized he is a personable guy. You should definitely pay attention to his posts. Don't start a group me with the people of the class because it will be considered cheating.
This professor was not the worst but has a very high ego. It's as if your forced to only ask him questions. You cannot ask classmates are it's seemed as if you are cheating to him, even if your asking for clarification on a question. He graded fine but lectures were long.
This professor is okay. Personally would not take again based on the professor's sudden change of syllabus in the semester and long lectures. He is passionate about the course but could have done a better job organizing the instructions to projects and assignments.
Professor Plussa's courses like no other. Instead of a textbook, he utilizes weekly lectures. He is very inspirational and you can tell that he thoroughly enjoys teaching leadership and management within the criminal justice industry. If you take this course with this professor, I highly recommend attending the lectures. Take notes!
Prof. Plussa's class is demanding, but it's a very valuable learning experience. This is a "get what you put in" class, and not an easy A or a class to be joked around with. The lectures and videos can be long, but they contain important and life-changing information. Stay on top of work and put in effort, and there won't be any problems.
Attend the lectures every Wednesday at 6 PM and take detailed notes, as there is no textbook. He's very understanding and a great instructor. As long as you put in effort, do all the assignments, and complete the extra credit, you'll be fine. I ended with over 100. DO not cheat with others, as most questions are based on your opinion. Take him!!!
Professor Plussa is one of the best professors you can take. His lectures are great, and the project is even better. I have taken both of his courses, and I recommend them to everyone. Professor Plussa has real-world experience, and he has prepared me for the future. His class is very video-based, and you get to see some real cases he worked on.
In my four years of education, I can honestly say that Professor Plussa is the second professor that genuinely cares about his students' learning and comprehension of the material he teaches. Although the final exam and paper have a significant influence on the class, passing the course is generally very simple.
This class was super easy as long as you do the work and pay attention to the lectures. Definitely would recommend this class.
Professor Palussa is incredibly caring and genuinely wants his students to succeed, always making time to help and explain concepts clearly. However, the course structure shifted significantly halfway through the semester, which made it a bit hard to adjust.
Professor Plussa is one of the best! You can tell that he really cares about what he teaches. His motivation throughout the course and understanding were also very helpful. I would honestly take this professor for all of my courses if I could. He does lectures and provides real life examples. I really appreacited him.
i really like it
Although Prof. Plussa's class is challenging, it is an extremely worthwhile educational experience. This is neither an easy A or a class to play about with; it is a "get what you put in" class. Although the lectures and films can be lengthy, they include valuable and transformative material. There will not be any issues if you put in effort.
Professor Plussa is passionate about the material. He gives helpful, detailed feedback on assignments.
He was a good professor overall and the assignments weren't hard to complete
Easy course but a lot of video material which wasn't awful but got repetitive after a while. Would take this professor again.
Easy course. Professor Plussa was very understanding of my full time work schedule and offered me a lot of advice and was willing to work with me about finding scholarships available for me.
Great class to take if you are planning to work in a criminal justice organization. Professor Plussa is available if you have any questions or need help. Despite being an online course, there was a zoom lecture meeting you could attend each week. If you could not attend the lecture is posted for you to watch after. Overall great course!
Professor Plussa is the GOAT, like he is THE BEST instructor you could ever take. His lectures are a big deal for you and blend information, entertainment, and inspiration. Like each week they were good but some weeks so great as if they were something I would pay for a ticket to go see. Learning from him was the best course of all in my degree.
Best professor I've ever had. I'll take this to my grave, he cares more then any teacher figure I've ever had in my life. He doesn't just do this as a job, he does it because he genuinely loves teaching and sharing his real world experiences. Take his class, just do it.
Overall it was a great class to be a part of. Especially for an online class since the lectures are recorded, just make sure to do all the assignments and you should be fine.
It was a good online class to be a part of, due to the lectures being recorded. Also, just make sure you to take notes of all the lectures each week, so that you don't fall behind.
Professor Plussa is a great teacher - that's if you put in the work. While I initially was intimidated by the course load, as long as you read the directions clearly and put forth your best effort you'll pass. It's all about your maturity and how you conduct yourself. I learned more than I could've imagined taking this class.
Extremely opinionated and grades based on his opinions. Had to ignore my morals in order to get good grades. Alluded to removing negative reviews.
Professor Plussa is one of the best at FGCU. He is passionate about the material and committed to students success. His engaging, visual teaching style makes learning enjoyable and the lectures are incredibly valuable. This class requires maturity so make sure to take it seriously. Show up, commit, be honest, and you'll thrive.
Get ready to learn, but that is if you have the right attitude and put in the effort to earn it. Professor Plussa sets you up for success if you want it. Both of his courses were set up for adult students who work outside of class, but you have to want it to get anything from it. The work isn't hard. You get so many tools for life. Simply the best!
Professor Plussa's lectures are engaging and full of real-world examples from his experiences as a police officer. He uses his body cam footage relating to each module, and invites students to share their own perspectives, ideas, and experiences. He also offers extra credit opportunities that further learning and help students raise grades.
Very passionate professor who really cares about his topics and his students. I has a unique point of few in this field because of his experiences. Sadly the class is only online available and is not interactive because he records the lectures, so he can upload them but you can ask question after the lecture. He makes the topics easy to understand.

Prof. is good and really cares about the information he is teaching and wants you to learn. some assignments were confusing as he can add in a lot of filler words but overall he was good and class wasnt too heavy assignment wise. lots of online short quizzes
Prof Plussa is a great prof who really cares about his class and what he is teaching. he compares a lot of real world events and issues and tries to tie it all in. he is really passionate about his class and is eager to have his students learn the material
Great teacher and even better person. Overall, the class was good, he is a very fair and "by the book" type of person. No slack will be tolerated and you will get out what you put in, this means no laziness nor b.s tolerated. In my opinion I enjoyed the class and Prof. Plussa, I would recommend the class to those who are truly committed to learn.
Professor Plussa is very straightforward and offers lots of videos to supplement his lectures. As long as you take the time to listen to his lectures, take notes, and truly apply yourself - you will do well. Overall, I really enjoyed this course and will be taking him again.
Regardless of your major, everyone should take this class at least as an elective. It teaches crucial concepts that everyone can apply to any career and life in general. Professor Plussa's passion in regards to these concepts is inspiring and enjoyable. His lectures are infused with real world experiences and examples to explain the lessons.
This professor genuinely wants you. to succeed. He wants everyone to pass. He puts his personal experiences while also having interactive zooms. He will adjust the course as needed to help students. Tons of extra credit!
This class is a great introduction to criminal justice. The professor does not require any books to be purchased and there is no readings. Instead he holds a zoom lecture once a week (also posts recording after if you cannot attend) and has an exit ticket that goes with it and has various podcasts with different community partners. Great teacher
Awesome teacher, you'll definitely get a couple laughs every lecture. Overall I liked the course 1 zoom call every week and the rest of the week to do work. Make sure to stay on top of your assignments, it is very easy to fall behind. He does offer extra credit towards the end but don't rely on it. if you put in the work you'll do great
This was a great and simple class. There are lectures that are fun to be in but also if you miss it you can just watch the video. I had many questions during this semester and would email him about it. He always answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. He advocates for students who care.
Prof. Plussa does a fantastic job of presenting this class in an entertaining manner. I took this class completely online during my own time and did just fine. Putting effort towards the assignments he gives you will result in a good grade, he really just wants to make sure you learn.
This was one of the better online classes I've taken. The professor is straightforward, fair, and actually cares about student learning. His feedback was helpful, and he made the material easy to follow. You can tell he puts effort into making the online format work well. Highly recommend.
Prof. Plussa gets it. Not only does he have a great deal of knowledge in criminal justice and the different subject matter exactly week, but unlike other professors, he actually has a great desk of knowledge and experience in teaching. Professor Plussa is one of the best I've ever had. Act like an adult and won't go wrong. He's very supportive.
He does a great job in creating assignments that directly lead to criminal justice. Even when it comes to events that we know about, he makes sure to teach us something different. His exit tickets are confusing sometimes, and, in my opinion, it needs to be longer with more points. However, he gives good assignments, and the class is enjoyable.
This professor has given me a new perspective on things not just in Criminal Justice. He is very passionate about his teaching and cares for his students which shows by the numerous Extra Credit opportunities he gave throughout this course along with his encouragement to join his lectures live to get the most out of this class.
Mr. Plussa defiantly shows and expands your knowledge of Criminal Justice through his lectures and the videos you have to watch for his class. He has taught me a lot not just about Criminal Justice but about leadership and respect in whatever field you wish to pursue. He treats you like an adult so if you act like an adult, you should be fine.
Professor Plussa is very lecture heavy because its an online class, but really cares about his students and their grades. The lectures are actually inspiring and very entertaining. The instruction is clear, and assignments aren't overbearing. I would take him again.
Lots of video content, very versed in the course content, if you don't want to work dont sign up for this class.
Professor Plussa is one of the best, offering his student a world-class education experience. His class is more of a learning program for a self-driven student, than a university course. Very much fun and he's a pretty funny guy. Will call students out on their crap. He doesn't put up with any BS. He values your time as an adult. Taking him again.
I am a freshman and had Professor Plus for my first semester, he was awesome beyond words. Very clear feedback, flexible with ay schedule, offers lots of extra credit, and most importantly fun to listen too. I don't like online classes, but I genuinely looked forward to his class.
Professor Plussa provides detailed weekly lectures in which he not only teaches the required content, but helps you immerse yourself in the experience and helps you visualize your future career. He shares key concepts throughout the lecture, and reiterates them at the end of each one. Long lectures and a lot of notes, but very helpful overall.
He was a very easy teacher, only had to attend the lectures if you could, I had class at the same time he was doing lectures so I couldn't attend any of them but they get posted after. The quizzes are only 5 questions so if you don't do well on them you probably won't get an A. As long as you do the work it's easy. I recommend taking him!
Pretty easy course, he posted his lectures if you weren't able to attend the Zooms, which made it easy to catch up. Quizzes can be tough since there are only 5 questions each week, and you won't do well in the course if you don't get higher than 3/5 on most of them. He is very nice overall.
Professor Plussa is very passionate about what he teaches and it absolutely shows, especially in an online course. The online course had weekly recorded zoom lectures. Attendance wasn't mandatory but you need to watch the recordings to pass the weekly quizzes. Overall great teacher, wish I got to take his course(s) in-person.
Professor Plussa is a great instructor. His lectures are clear, engaging, and easy to follow, and he connects real-world examples to the material. Exams are fair, workload is manageable, and he genuinely wants students to succeed. Highly recommend!
He was a nice professor, and his class wasn't horrible. My only issue is with any assignment besides a test on canvas his grading criteria was very confusing. His lectures are also somewhat difficult to understand he kind of just talks in circles.
Professor gives a fair amount of work and the lectures are very entertaining.
His class was one of the best I have taken during my semester. He would provide optional weekly lectures that were recorded in case you were unable to show. And the workload is not too heavy, as he usually posts videos to watch during the week for better understanding during the lessons and a small exit ticket quiz due at the end of the week.
Professor Plussa is one of the few professors I have had who is truly passionate about what he is teaching and you can tell! His course is beneficial for everyone, even those not going the criminal justice route. As long as you take the time and apply yourself, this class is easy and very interesting!
Professor Plussa is a great professor. He has lectures every week, and they are pretty interesting. You don't have to go to the lectures, but it's encouraged. As long as you do the work and don't slack off, it's a pretty easy course. He posts a bunch of extra credit.
I would call him a little extra at times, but he is very thorough with what he teaches and the guidelines for the assignments. The live lectures on zoom aren't required and the video lectures are available at all times, so you can look back at course materials at all times. None of the assignments are too hard, just need to think about what to say.
He can be a little extra, but he is very thorough with that is taught and what he expects. None of the assignments are too hard, just takes some time to think about what/how you need to say what you need to. Attendance to zoom lectures isn't required and the video lectures are available at all times , so you can always look at course material.
Professor Plussa is a very good professor, he demands a lot from you and expects you to pay attention to instructions and put in the work. His lectures were often very deep and interesting. Fairly accessible outside of class, and can be understanding as well. If you actually try you can learn a lot from his course.
Overall, a good teacher. As an online class there was a zoom meeting each week that was not attendance mandatory, always posted the lectures on Canvas for those who were unable to attend. There are weekly assignments/quiz which aren't heavy or difficult if you genuinely watch the lectures and take notes. Extra credit offered throughout the course.
Teaching style is unique. Lectures are where you get most of the information, but they are recorded and made available. Small weekly quizzes and then periodic assignments that make up most of your grade. Critical thinking skills are a must for this course.
CCJ 1020 with Professor Plussa was one of the most beneficial classes. His lectures are based around real-world scenarios and their applicability to students. He is also very reasonable in grading and provides plenty of extra credit opportunities. His assignments are detailed and easy to follow. I highly recommend any major to take this class.
Teaching style is unique. There's no textbook. Most of the information comes from the lectures, which are recorded and made available. Weekly quizzes, but the periodic larger assignments make up most of your points. Critical thinking skills are a must for this class.
has one quiz and one online lecture a week- so you fail one you're cooked- and you can tell he writes the quizzes himself and I felt they were written in a very confusing way that made it seem either every answer could fit or none of them could. also he hid the access coded to quizzes in his syllabus and was snippy when you couldn't find it
Really great professor. Very interesting and learned a lot during this class. Lots of videos but really interesting to watch. Quizzes/exams are easy and he gives many extra credit opportunities.
Professor Plussa is great. His lectures aren't mandatory, but I recommend you attend them. The course is relatively light, with a few discussion post and big assignments, but they are all pretty easy and engaging. 100% would take this class again with him.
He has a very unique teaching style but stick with you. He is strict on getting things in on time but if you try you can easily do really well.
Professor Plussa is an expert in his field. Plussa does an amazing job teaching his students valuable life skills that are applicable to those in the criminal justice field and beyond. He teaches online and does not require a textbook. He delivers his course via Zoom and posts it on Canvas for those who were unable to attend.
Professor Plussa is a great instructor and lays everything out in a very easy to understand way. His lectures were all very cohesive, he was very direct with what he expected, and he seemed to genuinely care for and respect his students.
Genuinely an enjoyable course. Really makes lectures engaging to watch and does a good job at treating every student in the course with care.
He is super engaging and an all in all amazing professor. I personally didn't love the online style but I don't think my grade reflects his teaching at all. All you have to do is pay attention and you will do really well.
Professor Plussa was an amazing teacher. As long as you PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL, you will succeed in this course. He not only teaches class material, but also gives real world advice to carry with you. I highly recommend taking him!
Really great professor who takes a lot of pride in his job. I would recommend actually joining the zoom meetings even though they are not mandatory—you will learn a whole lot more. However, I do think that the quizzes are too many points for how little questions there are, but if you take your time and pay attention you will be fine.
Took this class for half a semester before having to move to take care of a sick family member, did not do well in this class because of my inability to complete the coursework. Do not take if you're unable to separate personal views from facts and are overly sensitive. Loved this class and wish I'd been able to give it the attention it deserved.
I recommend taking professor Plussa's course. Pay very close attention to detail that is the most important thing to remember when taking his class. He is passionate about what he teaches which makes his course interesting to learn about. I enjoyed this course.
The course itself was really interesting and covered a numerous amount of topics. If you struggle with online classes it may not be for you but overall a good class.
His lectures are not mandatory. The lectures are so engaging and it's really cool to hear his own personal stories and experiences in the field. A quiz at the end of each week, usually 5 questions, but review that weeks materials. I would suggest making a study guide for tests.
Okay if you were to trust me on a professor, this is the only one d say to truly trust me on, not only was he an amazing professor, but also cared which is something you don't see often anymore, the class is very straightforward and you will actually learn without feeling overwhelmed it truly was my favorite class and I couldn't recommend him enoug
The class wasnt too bad as long as you stay on top of your work
This professor is very upfront and good about the course and its requirements; it is best to make sure to keep up with the lectures and the videos within the course.
Professor Plussa's personality is out of this world. He is so very obviously enthralled with how his students do in his course, and he wants each and every one of us to succeed. His lectures, while not mandatory, are easy to attend because he makes them fin and interactive.
AMAZING PROFESSOR! If you have the opportunity to take his class do yourself a favor and do it. You will learn a lot. It is also very difficult to fail; he gives a million extra credit opportunities and is very clear with what he expects. He is genuinely passionate about what he's teaching, and his lectures are never boring.
If you need to take his class, whether just for the credits or as a required material, I would highly reccomend the online segment of this class. The professor puts a LOT of effort into having updated, fresh materials, is active and engaging if you choose to attend his lectures, and offers plenty of opportunity for extra credit.
He's a great Professor and has helped me find a deeper interest in criminal justice.
TAKE THIS CLASS!!
Plussa was a very good professor who is passionate about the classes he teaches and has significant hands on experience within the field of criminal justice. Lectures are recorded and posted on YouTube and additional helpful videos are posted on Canvas. The course reflects the same effort you put into it; you need to put in the work .
Prof Plussa was one of the easiest classes I took this semester. He's very understang, and if you take the time to do the work, you could easily pass with an A. He has Zooms where he teaches the lessons, but if you can't attend, he records them and puts them in Canvas. Overall, he's an excellent professor and would definitely take his class again.
SIMPLY THE BEST PROFESSOR!!! Like he's the best there is, an expert in criminal justice with real world experience he adds to the class but not in a lame story telling way, and an expert at instruction and actually teaching. Tough combo to find. BRING YOUR A-GAME because he has high standards and holds his students to them or will call you out.
Professor Plussa makes criminal justice fun, interesting and easy to understand. His clear lectures, real life examples, and helpful life advice keep students engaged. He has weekly exit ticket quizzes to keep the information fresh in our minds and hands out manageable assignments every now and then. Overall, I enjoyed taking this course with him!
Professor Plussa was an amazing professor. As long as you can follow instructions and think critically, you will have no issues. His lesson plans are clear, concise, and easy to follow. He also uploads his own BWC footage on cases he has personally been involved with which I thought was very interesting.
He is very demanding, he also gives you credit to write these reviews so pls don't trust them. He literally reported people to the dean for having a group me and talking in it. He is the most disrespectful person ever and to get a good grade you need to stroke his ego!
