She is fairly difficult but lets you know exactly what it is that she is expecting. She is thorough and understands real life. She's younger so that helps. Her tests are fairly easy if you study. You will have to work for you grade but not too hard.

You will earn your grade in this class, but she will go out of her way to help. My writing has improved tremendously since taking this class. Challenging, but well worth it.

She asks for A LOT. Never have I had a teacher apply a rough draft as an entire grade point towards the final draft. Never have I had an Teacher make me photocopy/highlight every source and cover of every book (source) to turn in with my final essay (F oh your paper w/o them). If you have the time to complete every little pointless detail shes asks for then you'll like the class, if you don't (like most college students) you'll end up hating her.

She is always there willing to help with sincere. She helped me a lot with my writing. I do not feel any discrimation in her at all and her fairness is nature in contrast to some other whites. As a minority student, I do appreciate her attituade. I wish she will teach 1B and I will follow her to the end.

Great teacher for Eng 1A! Makes the class very interesting for students. This class is not super easy but she totally goes out of her way to give her students any help.

Very helpful teacher, she will help you if you ask for it. If you just want to get by with a C then you can manage in this class. Although she makes you learn she will not merley pass you for coming to class. If you're intrested in learning then take this class, but if you want an easy A you want another professor.

Lani is an exceptional professor. If you want to take the best Eng. 1A class for continuing your college career, go no further. Do more than the minimum requirements in this class, participate, and above all else ASK her for clarificiation and help and she's more than willing to provide it. It's too bad she doesn't teach 1B anymore. Great Prof!

Lani is an excellent teacher. She definately makes you work for your grade, but prepares you to forward your college career. You will definately be a more efficient writer and will have learned a lot by the end of her class. If you want an easy A, I would not recommend Lani, but if you want to learn a lot then she is an excellent professor!

Great prof. Cares about helping students become better writers. Not an easy A, but prepares you for what college and the real world will demand. You can learn everything you missed in HS if you are ready to work hard.

I hate to write and this class had a lot of it, however Lani taught me how to make it more exciting. I could see how much she cares about teaching the right way to write essays and such. Because of my schedule I regret that I am not able to take her for 1A. Good professor.

lol, her markers would always run out of ink right in the beginning of class. she would then resort to talking for a full two hours, which was boring. she gave too much homework and she graded hard. BUT, she did teach me a lot about writing and she was very helpful. you will learn a lot from her.

Great Professor, extremely helpful. Essays are on good stories/topics. Eng 57 really helped me in Eng 1A. Highly recommended for students who struggle with English/essays.

She is demanding in her work. It gets VERY demanding after half way through the semester. I think she's funny. She does have favorites (I am one of them) that she always refers to. But she does try to help you in every way she can - she offers plenty of feedback. I think she's gotten better from her past experiences.

Not only is she helpful and incredibly funny, she will gear you up for English.

She is very clear at what she is looking for in her essays. As well has a sarcastic personality to make time go by faster.

I took her for English 1A and transfered. Thanks to her I have been successful in my classes at a four year, skills she taught me I think are common sense now, my TA's are constantly complementing me on. She's tough but you will learn and use what she teaches you. If you want to be successful take her it's not an easy C or B, but worth it. Trust me

She makes writing essays easy by breaking down all the steps needed to write a good paper. Her quizes are easy, and she has a fun personality. Just be sure not to be absent more than 3 times otherwise she'll fail you or lower your grade. Not that you would want to ditch this class because she really helps you to become prepared for 1A.

Prof. Kreitner is a good teacher. However she teaches her class as if it is a harvard class. Before you can turn in your paper you have to do atleast four graded assignments before you can turn it in. Dont take if your taking a heavy work load.

I took this professor before I transferred. She taught me all of the skills I needed to excel at a four year college. I took classes where TA's would have to go over how to site sources and other skills she taught. She may be tough but she gives you a better education than some of these people that made it into a four year college. Take her!

She wasn't hard but the workload was very heavy. I took Eng. 30> A survey of children's Lit. We read 14 books!!! It was rediculous. I felt at times I could not say I really felt about the books BC i felt she was a bit bias & my grade would be affected. I wrote what she wanted to SEE I got an A, Write what she WANTS, you'll get A!

she is the best instructor Ive had at RCC. Sure she is tough, but thats because she makes you work for your grade. The way she has her class structured gives you no choice but to stay engaged. I felt that by not staying on top of assignments I was letting her down. Your writing will improve. Trust me.

Ms. Kreitner is one of the best English teachers at RCC! She helps her students become better writers by teaching about different sentence structures and word choices, and she prepares students for the next course.She grades objectively.Take her if you want to become a better writer. Not an easy A! Paying attention is mandatory.

Prof. Kreitner is smart! She gave some tricks to help students understand the material better. She was quick in responding students when they needed a help. Her class always interesting.Is she subjective? no, that's only a rumor, in fact, she is very proffesional.

I really loved and appreciated professor Kreitner. She truly wants her students to succeed and she makes time to help them do so. She made me more aware of my writing skills, as well as what is going on in the world. She grades fairly. The grade a student receives is soley based on the effort they put forth. I wish I could have taken her for Eng1A.

Kreitner focused way too much on diversity, I get books need different races and culture but as soon as a children's book had only white characters, she said it was a bad book. The reading was ridiculous-new chapter book every week, which gets pricey. Grading was tough and strange (black person shouldn't be capitalized!) Wouldn't take her again.

I took Prof. K for both Eng60B and Eng80. For those who are unaware, English 80 is an excelled course that puts English 60-50 all in one class. This class was extremely difficult but Prof. K was always there to help, she never neglected anyone and did her best to help you with essays. She's also hilarious and tends to keep her class in a good mood!

She truly cares about you succeeding in her class, BUT she is a tough grader. Just do exactly what she tells you and follow the prompts. She makes class fun and is very helpful . GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS

I loved taking this class and learned a lot from her. Though she is a hard grader, she makes sure you understand the material. Also the class is intertaning, we were always laughing and having. The class is a joy and a great start for English 1A. She will really make you ready and confident in your writing if you put in the work. Great choice!

If you want to learn the tools needed for English and to succeed in writing, then this is the professor you want to teach you. She is great! I admire her work ethics and I appreciate her for caring about her student's educational goals. Yes she is honest, but fair when it comes to grading. The bottom line is this is college people not daycare.

If you really want to improve with writing and leave this class with more then you walked into it with TAKE HER. Yes she is a tough grader, and yes she makes you work for it, but the pay off is so great. Also get the textbooks she asks for they will be very helpful and do the homework or you will struggle more. I took this professor back in 2006. At the time she kicked my butt, however, thanks to her I was one of the few that actually knew how to write a decent paper. I honestly believe it is thanks to this professor I have been successful in my masters and now my doctorate. If you want an easy A then complain away, but she will help you succeed.

Kreitner is an amazing professor and really helps better your writing. You do have to work for your grade but it is so worth it in the end.

Professor Kreitner gives really good feed back and she helps her students the most she can by giving certain worksheets and going out of her way to remind us of things coming up and worksheets to help with our essays and papers. There is only about 4 essays and its fairly easy, just make sure to keep up with the work and worksheets constantly.

If you value becoming a better writer and evaluator, this is the class for you. A 'learning to learn' mindset is CRUCIAL. A tough grader, but by the end, I almost perfected the MLA rules by memory (which felt rewarding). Holistic grading, so do not expect perfection in certain/some areas to carry an essay. Topics are IMPORTANT and RELEVANT.

Professor Kreitner is honestly a brilliant professor and gave great feedback but I feel like I still wouldn't get a good grade regardless of all the help I would try to get. Though it might just be my opinion, but the Research Paper Project seemed totally unnecessary and felt like a waste of time.

Kreitner is an excellent professor for students struggling in English comprehension. I went from writing D papers to writing A papers, and I can confidently say that I am competent in critical thinking. Her class is NOT EASY, but it is worth it. Take her if you are looking for a challenge.
