This class is no cake walk, but you can't really expect calculus to be easy. If you do all of the work and pay attention in class, you should do fairly well; I have an A in the class. She knows her stuff.

By far the best math teacher I've ever had. She explains everything really clearly and makes math seem much less scary. Still need to do the homework and study, but she'll help you all the way through.

Really nice teacher. Her tests are easy, her test questions are similar to homework questions, so if you got that down, you will do fine on the tests. Her grading isn't too bad either, for tests she gives points for trying.

My favorite teacher of all time! Explains things very well. Prepares you very well for the tests - gives REALLY helpful practice tests. Makes math seem very easy. If you are going to take this class, you definitely should take her.

this is a good class for everyone to join. She explained well. Give grade easy except the exam is abit harder than i thought. The best way to garantee u will get a A is to listen to her lecture. If u understand the lecture clearly, then i pretty sure u will get A in that class. She grades by your work not just by the resulf.

What a wonderful teacher! I hated math, but she somehow made me love it! If you listen, do the homework, do the practice tests ... you can pass this class. She is extremely helpful for those who are lost, highly recommended!

She takes the whole class period to thoroughly cover all the material. No need to read the book really, but hw is really helpful for doing well on the tests. Exams are straight forward from the hw and sample problems.

You don't even need to read the book if you pay attention to her in class! We had a nutcase in our class, she was still patient as hell. Reviews are great. She even posts and maintains a website for you to get help. She also comes to the Math Lab. Let me turn in late hw. Very understanding of busy schedules. Take her class, you will not regret it!

BEST MATH TEACHER EVER. Took this class accidently and thought i would be falling asleep in dis easy math class coz i was in AP Cal back in HS. In fact, she is really nice and good at explaining her materials. I wish i had a math teacher like her back then. she understood my situation and allowed me to only attend exams and just turn in HW!!!

shes a great teacher! i failed the first two exams and had an F in her class cuz i suck in math...but i started trying and raised my grade up to a C. this class is an easy A but i slacked off. she encouraged me to stay and not drop..if she sees you are trying she'll try to bump your grade if its not good

Retterath is the best math teacher I have ever had. She explains the material so it can easily be understood. I never thought I wold do so well in a math class. Just show up to class everyday and you should be able to pass the tests without much studying.

I love Mrs Linda. She is very nice and dedicated to her students. Easy to reach her, and always help you. Her lectures are clear. Too bad that she does not teach 3B next semester.

I was planning to take math 3A in the fall but after finding out Retterath will be teaching it in the spring, I'm waiting. Her lectures are clear and to the point and she explains concepts well rather than just memorization - which in itself was a must for Trig. If you can take a class with Retterath, by all means do it. She's that darn good.

Extremely helpful and clear, good grading structure. Offers practice exams online, so if you do the required homework there's no reason not to do well.

Professor Retterath is a wonderful teacher. She explains concepts very well. She may teach quickly, but if you ask questions, she slows down. 6 exams total, including final exam. Lots of hw, but helps in studying.

One of the best at Mission & by far the best math teacher at MC. She is very nice, explains things really thoroughly, and is willing to explain them until you understand them. She gives a lot of homework from the book, but it definitely helps with understanding the material. Her practice tests are almost identical to her exams, so do them!!!!

This is one extremely hard class, but Retterath is very helpful and willing to explain everything thoroughly. She gives about 20-40 problems of hw from the book for every section (hw takes about 10 hrs a week to do), but helps with understanding the material. Practice tests similar to exams, but she is a very hard grader! She is also very strict!

There were 5 or 6 test, including the final. She gives out a practice test before each test and if you take the time to complete the practice quiz, you should do well as it will be similar to the actual test. She explains things well and teaches in a way that kept the majority of students interested. Definitely recommend her!

She is excellent teacher, so patient teacher. She explains quite clearly. Before every test, she gives you a practice and the test is similar. After you study with her, you will love math or your knowledge will be improved at least.

Before last semester, I hadn't taken a math class in five years. She's amazing! She's truly one of the best math teachers I've ever had. She was incredibly patient and clear in her teaching. She even gives practice exams! Two suggestions: read through the book and do the examples, and do the homework while the material's still fresh in your mind.

She's a good teacher, but this class requires A LOT of outside work on your part. Homework is a must (10% of your grade) and her assignments are extensive. Professor Retterath is very clear when she gives her lectures. She spends time on previous topics from the Homework to make sure we understand. If you do the HW and attend class then you should get a solid grade on every exam, definitely not easy but possible. One of the best instructors I've ever had.

Retterath is amazing. Best math teacher I've had my entire academics. Her lectures are clear & she's very helpful in explaining concepts if you're confused. However, you do need a good foundation of Algebra and Trigonometry to pass. Homework is lengthy but is a big chunk of your grade. Practice quizzes are helpful for the actual test. Take her!

Linda is probably the best math teacher at Mission. I have taken her twice (math 1,3B). She explains problems really well and lecture notes are amazing. I didn't even need the book. Her tests are pretty standard and homework is a solid part of the grade. She's always ready to help out(been to office hours many times). I definitely recommend her.

She is an awesome instructor Calculus. Her lectures are very clear and well organized. She explains every question and very patient to her students. She has you to do homework and give you the answers on calcchat, yet she expect you to do on your own. Her tests are difficult to lazy students, however you seriously study, you'll get an A+

A good amount of homework but it isn't an overload. If you go to class and do the HW you shouldn't have a problem. She is very willing to help and always shows each step to a problem. She will even color code where she can. If you have problems she walks around and will help you with the, and I mean help not do them for you. Great Professor!

She is very kind, nice, enthusiastic and professional. At the beginning of the course, she hands out schedule and all of the content will be taught exactly like the schedule. Practice and solution will be given out before each exam. There are 3 exams and one final. Homework is mandatory but u can submit it at any time.

I had her for math00C a few semesters back and she was so kind and helpful. She is the top math professor at mission. I normally do not write these (just look at others) but had to on her. Every semester i get bummed out that she is not teaching the following math class i need.

Prof. Retterath is by far the best math teacher I have ever taken. Though she is quite the tough grader, she will give you exactly what you put in into the class. Very fair. If you get questions wrong on a test, she'll give you partial credit for every step that you show that is right. Practice tests that guarantee your success if studied.

Wow wow wowwwww, Mrs linda is an amazing prof. She is indeed a teacher, and you can see that passion in her eyes. I have always SUCKED in Maths my entire life. This woman picked me and brushed me up. Her teaching techniques are simply out of this world. And I can gurrante you success. With her, I achieved that which seemed impossible, an A+.

She's an amazing professor who will remember your name and get to know you. Her tests are hard, and she does really make you try and understand the material on tests. I personally didn't like her style but she is a good teacher and will talk with you whenever you need help. Attendance is mandatory!

Best math teacher at Mission College. She teaches math that is in a way that students can understand as she demonstrates the problem step by step. Exams are based off of lecture notes and study guide. A perfect score is over 100% which gives you a chance to get a good grade. Helpful teacher and gives us the confidence to do math. Professor Retterath did an amazing job as my teacher last year and has been the only teacher in about 4 years to actually explain concepts and go through it at a very solid. She's pretty good. Only thing is that she teaches like its a hs course. She really wants everyone to succeed so she gives a lot of help(i.e practice exam, chance to bring hw grade up). She stops lecture if you're talking or on your phone. Hw is easy and book is on mymathlab so dont buy it. Overall, I'd recommend her, easy class if you pay attention

She doesn't allow calculators but her tests are easy, though details are important. She gives great lectures, however, if you don't understand something she will answer through emails and is also accessible during office hours. She will tell you of upcoming quizzes a week prior. Encourages asking questions.

This is the best instructor I've ever taken at Mission. Her lectures are clear and she truly cares about all students. I never missed a single class (and this was M-F, 9:20-12:40pm) I'd take whatever math class she teaches (including Trig or Calc) because she's that good. I wish she taught more classes!

I had Linda for Math 903 and Math C back a few years ago. I have nothing but grateful appreciation to her for teaching me math. She convinced me to go for more math classes during my time at college. It's sad she retired but she will be remembered as a great math professor at Mission.
