Lacey is the best professor I've ever had! She's new to the campus and I'm so thankful I had her for this class! She's so sweet and genuine and one of the funniest people I've ever met. I've learned so much from this course and would definitely take it again. Not too much work either, just enough to learn the material!

I have mixed feelings. She is a very kind, sweet lady. She is very funny too. However, She does grade tough, but with that being said she is always open for help. She reminds students at the end of every class that she is available to help. You do have to work for your grade but she is a good teacher.

Professor Brown is the best speech professor! She is so funny and makes every class engaging! She gives tons of extra credit opportunities so it easy to receive an A. I looked forward to her classes each week! Highly recommend taking her.

Professor Brown is someone who you can be very comfortable around, which is perfect for a class where you have to do public speaking. She wants you to succeed outside of class with projects that are useful in the real world but are simple to do. Her feedback on your speechs are also very accurate and helpful. I had lots of fun in her class!!

We spend so much time just discussing the business world and there are like 3 speeches altogether. 1 is only 2 min which is just introducing yourself, Persuasive and Informative speech and a group presentation with as many people as you want. She also does mini interview questions (total of 4) for 1 min at the beginning of class. INTERESTING CLASS

Professor Lacey is one of the nicest professors and on the top of that she gives great feedback . She makes public speaking easier than I expected.

Professor Brown is one of the best professors you can take for speech. Her class requires you to participate and practice your speeches. However, this class will help you with your public speaking skills. If you have the chance take SPE-208 or any SPE class with Professor Brown

I don't know how anyone could not give this Professor anything other than 5 stars. What is expected is clear, not overwhelming, and feedback is quick. This is one of the only classes where I have looked forward to coming to class. I would highly recommend.

Love Dr. Brown! Took her SPE 208 class during winter intersession. Easy A, especially when its online. She responds to e-mails super quickly and always offers to help! Learned a lot in her class in only 2 weeks, would definitely take her again!! It consisted of a few quizzes, discussion boards, 2 big speeches and a mock interview. Not bad!

Lacey is honestly an icon. She is easily one of the nicest professors I have ever had and you can really tell that she cares about her students. She made this class super interesting and a lot of the time she was able to incorporate it into our lives. The group projects were sometimes too easy or a little dumb but it was a group presentation class.

She really is an icon. Only four written speeches the entire semester, and she gives you an adequate amount of time to work on them. She'll answer any questions you have and will go in depth with you about your topic if you're struggling. She's super funny and you can tell she cares about the class and her students. Take her if you can!

I had her for first year seminar, so I cannot speak for how she is in normal classes. She has the best positive attitude and is always upbeat and caring. Even having her for first year seminar made me want to take one of her actual classes.

Take this class with her if you can one of the best classes I had all semester I always looked forward to it. Class discussions are fun she is very relaxed and super helpful on assignments, and I viewed the speeches as easy, do the work and you will get good grades

If you are dreading taking this class because of fear for public speaking, do not worry, prof. Brown is a really nice person and makes SPE 208 super easy. As long as you show up and do the presentations she'll give you an A in the class. There are 3 presentations and some other minor assignments throughout the semester but overall super easy class.

I took BAC101 with Prof Brown and was very happy to find such a kind and helpful teacher. She really makes the class fun for us. Our graded work is not difficult, just a few small speeches that require minimal effort and are very casual. I plan to take her again!

Really easy class. Easy grader. Just do what she says and you will get an A. She almost never goes the full class time and she is super nice.

Lacey is truly an awesome professor. I was so nervous for this class but she made me come out of my comfort zone and become very relaxed. She also truly cares about you and your future. The presentations and assignments are not bad at all. Fully recommend her because she is one of my favorite teachers/professors that I have ever had.

I was really nervous for this class because I am not the best public speaker but this class and professor has helped me so much. She is so caring and wants everyone to do well. You do a lot of presentations, some by yourself and some in groups so you get comfortable with it very quickly. TAKE HER!!!!

wow if u want an A+ and hate doing homework... take her. she is so sweet and caring and the class is as easy as it should be for a bac. she offers way too much extra credit haha, I have a 133 in the class rn and im an actual idiot. class sometimes lasts for 20 min lol. shes so cool and keeps it real with us, she also has no filter. deff take her!!!

She genuinely wants you to succeed. You will become a better presenter in her class. She has many opportunities for extra credit and she really cares about you doing well. Her feedback is specific to you, and she will work with you as much as you need until you get an A. Please do yourself a favor and choose her.

Great Professor! Grades super easy. A lot of speeches in beginning of semester, but the work is super easy. There's no way you can't get an A in this class. She's super chill, take her class!!!!!!

Dr. Brown is easily one of my favorite people at this school. She's extremely understanding and flexible with deadlines and presentation days. We did about a speech a week, but they're not stressful at all. Her class was enjoyable to go to and she always let us out early. Super chill professor overall and I always recommend her to my friends.

I never thought I would write a review but Brown deserves one. I took her over the summer and it was one of the best classes. I hate public speaking and talking in front of large groups of people is the worst but she genuinely wants to see you do well and helped me improve a tremendous amount. Easy A and doesn't keep you the whole class. 10/10

Lacey is one of the best professors at UT. SPE212 definitely includes a lot of content that's a bummer, but she does what she can to end the class on a high note. Classmates who are not socially aware make discussions frustrating, but Lacey makes taking this class so worth it. I definitely gained a lot from taking this class.

One of my favorite professors I have ever had at University of Tampa. Professor Brown truly cares about her students. Attendance is not mandatory and she believes that you are in charge of your academic journey. There were about 5 speeches all of which were easy and helpful. Truly one of the best classes ever!

Lacey is so chill and easy going. Her classes are always short, fun, and to the point and the speeches are super easy. I hate public speaking but the speeches were so chill and she tells you what she wants but gives you plenty of room to do what you want with your own speeches. super easy grader. attendance is never mandatory either!

Solid speech professor, definitely the best one out of all of the other sections. You do a couple of speeches and lots of team building in the class to get more comfortable speaking publicly. The final is a group speech and commercial. No tests, homework, or quizzes. She does care about attendance tho, so def show up and you'll get an A

Everyone in my class got a good grade and enjoyed themselves. I can tell you with certainty she does not assign a lot of homework/readings/papers, nor is she a tough grader. This class really did not stress me out at all b/c Lacey is understanding about pretty much everything and has straightforward graded assignments. She wants you to get an A.

Lacey is one of the best teachers ive ever had at UT. 2 hour class only lasted an hour, it was a very chill class. I was always afraid of public speaking but Lacey made it very easy to talk and present. I highly recommend her as she will make this class very easy for you and add fun into it. I'll miss this class and wish I could take her again

Lacey is one of the best Professors in the speech department. She is kind and fun to have in class. There is minimal homework and no tests. She gives time to work on speeches in class and is available in the speech center for more help. ** There is not a single person in her class which does not love her **

LCB is really good at her job. I enjoyed going to her class, and I appreciated all of the volunteer opportunities she provides. Her class is tough only if you don't take it seriously. 100% take it again!

REAL REVIEW Lacey is a decent professor. Expect to be putting in hours outside of class definitely towards the second half of the semester. Volunteering outside of class as she runs out of ideas for things to do in class. Couple of presentations on boring things and a big final project worth 50% of your grade.

When we're talking about the greatest of all time, make sure to have Lacey Corey Brown's name in the conversation. She is the most genuine, kind, and awesome professor at UT. I had her for both SPE-300 & SPE-308. I highly suggest taking her if you have the chance.

I love her!! She is the best professor I have had at the University of Tampa. Attendance is mandatory, but class is always cut short in the most effective way possible. She is so helpful and so great at teaching. You have to try in her class, just like any class you take. Her lectures are great. You would be a fool not to take her as a teacher.

Classes short and sweet. She is super funny and down to earth. Lenient on grading. You have to go to the center for public speaking before each speech. She is kind of slow with grades, and the quizzes are not allowed to be done late. Those quizzes will tank your grade if you miss them.

Awesome Professor! The classes are straight to the point and never run long but the energy is still always really high. We learned a lot and had fun too. She is very caring, accessible outside class, and helpful. Just don't miss the homeworks (usually weekly), and you will be fine.

I really enjoy her class, the only critique I have is poor response time to emails. Her class is very interesting and the lectures are more like open-ended discussions which helps to keep me engaged. She hardly ever keeps the class for the entire 2 hours. Speeches have clear outlines and expectations. Overall a really good and caring professor!

Dr. Brown is the best professor here at the university. She grades fairly and as long as you are nice and show up you will get an A in this course. If you are curious about speech and communication please take her course and you wont regret it. cannot praise her enough.

Her class was really fun. I actually learned a ton of information about myself and how to debate better. If you pay attention to what she says shes looking for in the assigment you'll do great. Her classes have a lot of student participation and you have a large say in what you learn. Debate class was so fun with her!

Genuinely cares about students, class was easy, mostly graded by speeches but there's a midterm and final. She clearly outlines what you have to do to get an A, and is willing to help you any way she can. Would definitely take her again.
