Pretty easy class. I suck at speaking in public and for some reason I made an A in the class. Just write the speeches and do them and you should be fine. Don't go over the time limit.

I like this class so much. This teacher is so much fun, always keeps me laughing. Never a boring momment. I wound take this class.

She is very easy going just dont get her mad. Her emaxs are very easy if you read the chapter and its open notes so take notes. She cant really teach in front of class, but hey for the easy "A", why not take her class... I recommend it.

She is easy, hot, and super friendly. Really teaches you the material too. Speeches are easy, and on any topic you want. She is liberal with extra credit, and easy on the eyes, loves it!

I just love her! she's awesome, super helpful and really funny (not on purpose), very understanding and she'll work with you to do better in class. Take her class, its an easy "A" even if you slack off a little bit.

She was very nice and will do what ever she can so that you can get a good grade in the class. Her tests are easy and they come straight out of the textbook, but they're always take home tests so you can use the book. Easy A, as long as you practice your speech a couple times beforehand then you're good to go.

hayes is very easy going and is willing to help you out whenever you need it. The presentations are a piece of cake.

She's an EXCELLENT teacher! Do the work(meaning, with effort), practice your speeches ahead of time, perform it well and gurantee that you will get an A. And also, most of the time she will know who you are because for sure she was the only instructor that actually knew me :)

She is so chill and laid back, she cuts people ALOT of slack, and is very sweet. She understands if you have prior commitments, or didnt get to finish something on time. Her test are very easy the midterm u can use notes...the final is take home...speeches are super simple...shes a great teacher to take!

Best class for my 1st semester. Super sweet teacher, understanding, but also strict. No excuses unless reasonable. But, it's mostly towards you and your group. Work together and get the grade. Individual Exams, so make sure your pay attention and read the book.

Hayes is a fantastic professor. She is very understanding and lenient given you're one of the better students. She responds to e-mails in a timely manner as well. Exams are based on the textbook chapters; however, the chapters are an easy read and the price ($35) for the text is great! She brought us treats on our last day too. Highly recommended!

She's an amazing teacher!I love her, she's very lenient on a lot of work that she hands out. I really recommend to get her if you can. Her assignments are also very easy and if you don't understand she will answer your questions if you ask.

Ladonna is freaking hilarious. She's very clear and teaches in plain English. She's super funny and recognizes the fact that not a lot of people really want to be in her class. Her class is a cake walk, and she's got the best sense of humor. Take communications with her, and you'll have fun.

A really cool and laidback teacher. If you want an easy grade and isn't afraid to speak in front of the class, then take her! She's super easy on grading and cancel classes once in a while but that's cool. Only issue I will have is when she give lectures on powerpoints, it's super boring. Just take notes or asking questions so you won't be bored.

Instructor is cool and grades easy. She is one of the most cheerful teacheers I have ever met. Only little homework was assigned. Class grade is based on 3 speeaches and 3 exams. No final. Read the text & you shall pass the exams. Don't wing speeches & don't read from a paper!! Practice to get a good grade. Good luck!

Professor Hayes is the best professor I've taken this year. She is always so happy and is very kind. She never makes anyone feel as if they are less. There are 3 exams and 3 speeches, no final. Read before class, take notes during lecture, and be prepared with your speech. She's awesome!

She is one of the best teachers I have taken! I had her my first semester of college and she was so nice and caring. She truly loves her job and her class isn't difficult. I passed her class with a B but that was my own fault for going over the time limit on every speech. I would take her every semester if I could, she is that amazing.

Professor Hayes is hands down one of the best, most influential, and supportive teachers at Fresno State. It is obvious she spends time, and puts thought into her lectures and power points. Even a year after taking her class she remembers me, and is willing to help me with my grad school application. She is a wonderful and influential woman.

If you ever want to take a class that is easy, fun & have a great instructor, take Ladonna. Big heart, humorous & the type of teacher every student would want. Attendance is a must, sometimes noteslectures, tests are fairly easy. No need to buy the book. She makes class fun with her personality alone. Just take her. She's the real MVP.

If you want to take comm for GE this could be the best one for you. So easy and so clear instructor, willing to help you all the time. There are two group projects, one presentation and one essay for each project. Also, there are three tests. Make sure to be with a serious group.

Hands down one of the best professors at Fresno State. One of the very few professors that actually cares about their students. Her class and lectures are entertaining and fun. Her instructions and grading criteria are clear. She informs her students what she expects from them. Show up every day, listen, and do well on the test and youll be fine )

Ladonna is awesome! if I could I would take all of my classes with her. she's super helpful and genuinely wants her students to be successful in her class. you do have to put in the work that's required of the class but she's an easy grader. definitely recommend anyone to take a class with her if you're given the opportunity.

If you guys want an easy class during your freshmen year, take this course with her! 2 midterms and no final! Her midterms are online on blackboard, open book, with no time limit, and is extended for 3 to 4 days! You don't have to go to her office hours, she emails quickly and clearly! If you just ask her, she'll accept late assignments. :)

LaDonna Hayes is great. She is extremely kind and understanding. She also has a good sense of humor. We gave 3 speeches, the first one around 5 minutes, the second around 8 minutes and the last one between 1 and 2 minutes. She grades generously and the only other work for credit we did were a few online quizzes for a few chapters from the book.

Ladonna is one of the sweetest women you'll meet. She's a quirky, animal loving professor who is extremely flexible with her students as long as there's good reason for it. She teaches the basic persuasive speaking skills, and we have a couple assignments that evolve around the speeches we give. Tests rely on the book, but are online.

She is one of the best teachers! She cares a lot about her students and frequently asks everyone for examples to relate the book terms. She is also super funny and says some pretty hilarious things in class. The tests are open book and online.

Ladonna is the sweetest woman you will come across. She made my 8 AM class enjoyable. Do the outlines and speeches and you'll be fine. There's a few quizzes that are from the book, but take notes and you won't need it. She offers extra credit as well.

I LOVE LADONNA. She was an amazing professor! She gives good feedback on outline the very same day. There's only 2 online test and 3 speeches. There wasn't a lot of homework , only like 2 times. It was an easy class but you do need to make sure to prepare your outline well.

Since this is a Group Discussion class, it is important that you attend class because most of the assignments are done in the groups you are put into. We only did two out of the three speeches because of the COVID situation. The speeches are about your group members, the Best ice cream of Fresno, and a cultural speech. Great and clear feedback.

First assignment self-introduction speech. Then get into groups that would be with you throughout the semester. Have two projects: Informative Cultural Presentation and Individual Group Discussion Topic Speech. The tests were based off of book. She'd take parts of the book and make them t/f questions and multiple choice. Take notes of BOOK.

Professor Hayes is super sweet, if you have any worries/concerns make sure to let her know and she will address them. There is a self introduction project and a cultural presentation. You will need the book for the class! You can rent it or buy it, I wouldnt pay more than 20 for it.

There is only a total of 3 assignments that are actually graded. 1 introduction speech, 1 pro/con speech, and 1 culture speech. Each fairly easy but she can be a tough grader. Make sure to follow all of her instructions.. Lectures are based on a book you need to read, and you have an exam based on the reading and lectures.

She is honestly a very chill teacher you have assignments like once a month. As long as you communicate with you group members you don't have to go to class. She is an average grader. She doesn't really answer emails and sometimes doesn't show up to class without warning her students. It's an easy course and it's easy to pass.

Professor Hayes is very understanding and caring. The group projects all made sense and the grading rubric was always accessible, so you knew what you needed to do. She is not a tough grader either. I think she is very easy on it unless it shows you don't know what you're talking about. Attendance is not mandatory but she really appreciates it!

Professor Hayes is honestly one of the best professors. She can also be forgetful and last-minute. Speeches were really easy and I pray everyone gets a good group cause that matters, especially for group meetings. Aside from speeches, there are assigned readings and she goes over them. Overall, she is super engaging and gives lots of time for work.

Professor Hayes runs a straightforward class. While she can be forgetful, the assignments are manageable if you stay on top of them. The grading is specific, so be sure to follow instructions. An easy A with good time management and use of study aids like unstuckstudy.

She is a great professor, she does cancel classes last minute. No final, it was like a reflection paper, and the midterm was online. Great skills were taught for your future.

If you actually want to learn don't take this class.. but if you're a comm major and need an easy class because you just want your degree that's this class.

Great professor, fun and welcomes discussion on topics, but definitely rambles, and may cause you to blank out while she is giving instructions (pretty straightforward). 2 group assignments and 3 presentations. Only one exam and a small, short, inexpensive book that we did not reference much (buy it anyway). 10/10 recommend

She was very nice! She definitely talks a lot, but she is very understanding and cares about her students. It is a pretty easy class, as well. If you need to take a communications class, I highly recommend her!
