The cutest, easiest, funnest math teacher ever. She's so funny and adorable. Some of the things that come out of her mouth..hehe. Quite helpfull once she gets to know you especially. ZERO busy work too. ZERO. Only announced quizzes and tests (three each).

This women was one of the nicest, most kind people to ever teach. She is a real gem. She was so helpful in statistics, a class most people hate. However, her take home exams were so very looong. But she wants you to learn. I wish all my instructors were like her.

She is a good teacher. She wants you to do well. I recomend her. She is very helpful and nice.

You got to take her classes because you can learn math completly. You may think her classes are not easy, so you go to ask her as you need to. You will need to work hard, and then you get an A from her. It is time for you to understand math rather than to be afraid of math.

Lakshmi is a wonderful teacher. She deeply cares about the success of her students. Made math comprehensible. Helped me get over my math phobia. Would recommend her to anyone with a fear of math.

She is super nice and really wants all her students to pass. You can always shout out in class "im lost" and she will happly go over it agian. Pop quizes are really easy becuase the quiz is over what you just discussed in class. GREAT TEACHER

To be honest, it was my second time taking math 65, so I pretty much knew the material, and I don't know if shes good at teaching it. From the protests of my colleagues, however, she might not be the clearest teacher for harder classes.

This instructor was crystal clear in her instruction. She takes the time to work with her students to insure they receive the highest value in her class. She is fair and doesn't tolerate talking over her instruction(which is a good thing), but encourages questions and interactive problem solving. I highly recommend this instructor to everyone!!!!!

Lakshmi is a very kind teacher and is very concerned with her students success. She is a little soft spoken and lectures a little on the slow side so it can be easy to drift off, but she is very clear as to what steps to take to solve problems. Her quiz's are nice because they help to prepare you for the exams.

I would def recommend her for Stats. She made it a lot easier to understand and didnt use the confusing textbook as much as other teachers. The class was fairly easy as long as you took notes,did the work, and showed up(attendance is graded). She is also very easy going so will sometimes accept late work or help students out on exams and quizzes.

She is the great teacher for Math class that she really has knowledge in Math especially, she explain the difficult subject to be easy to understand. That is so cool. Take her, you will not be regret!!!

Take her class for Stats 2 if you have to cause its soooo easy. She basically hands you an A. Homework is really short, quizzes are extremely easy, and sometimes she will give you answers on the exam. Her lectures are also extremely easy to follow and understand. Take her class!

I'm lovin' this teacher. I failed Math 70 last term, and this term I am understanding things 99% better than in the last class. She assigns small amounts of homework, but in class, she gives you practice problems and walks around to make sure each person in doing it correctly. She doesn't just lecture the whole time. She's also a very sweet person.

I had Balaji about two years ago at PCC. She was very clear, concise, and obviously loved what she was doing. Prior to taking her class, I thought I was bad at math. But she helped me to see that I'm good at it! Would totally take her again if I could! :) *two thumbs up*

Lakshmi is very personable and kind. She's helpful and takes the time to make sure students understand the information in the assignments. The class can be confusing at times with the choice of MyMathLab or the book for homework since she goes over the problems in the book in class; but will answer any MML questions too. She is ADA compliant.

Lakshmi is an excellent teacher. I wish I had a teacher like her in high school. She makes sure that you understand the material before moving on to the next section. And attendance is very important if you want a good grade.

Haven't taken a math class since 2000, this class was the perfect refresher. Lakshmi was always quick to check-in with us by asking, "Any questions for me?". I'm the second week into the next class and I feel very well prepared. BTW, the text book was super-awesome too. Thank you!! =^..^=

Awesome teacher, very helpful clear and funny. The homework she gives is helpful with learning the material, and she goes over any assignments people have problems with. She makes sure that you know the material before taking tests, very fair.

I love her. I took her for math 70 and now math 95 and I am glad. She makes things much easier to understand, and she WILL help you if you ask, and she doesn't assign a very heavy homework load. However, tests are a large part of the grade, so do the practice tests and be prepared. So, TAKE HER. TAKE HER NOW.

I have a real love-hate relationship with Lakshmi. At times I felt like she would talk down to students and give the "did you really just ask that question, idiot?" look, however I do think she is a good teacher. Sometimes doesn't explain things well, but will find another way to say it. Quite a bit of homework, but if you do it, you'll get an A.

She is the best math teacher I have had in College. She loves her subject, and she shows it. If you use her study guide you will do just fine on her exams. He grades all the problems she gives on the homework, so you get a lot of feedback. I highly recommend you take you class. She will help you prepare for later courses.

This woman is the best math teacher I have ever had. She goes out of her way to make sure every student does well in her class- she even called my house when I had over slept on an exam to make sure I would be able to take it!! She is great. If you're not a math person (like me), I really recommend Lakshmi.

Lakshmi is amazing. Super clear to understand, will show multiple ways so each student can understand. Offers tons of EC, I'm not super great at math and had a 105% in the class before the final. If you are struggling she will help you find out where and ways to make it easier for you. Do the homework/bonuses- texts often have same exact problems.

Lakshmi is a very nice woman. She has a passion for her subject and truly cares about each and every one of her students. She chooses homework based on what is useful instead of assigning every problem. Also she offers tons of extra credit. If you show up to class, do the homework and extra credit, its impossible to fail. Also her accent is fine.

This teacher is thorough, concise, loves her job, and wants her students to succeed. It's impossible to fail her class if you do all your homework, study, and do the extra credit. If you struggle with math, take her. She asks, "Are you with me so far?" to check back and see if you have any questions. She's an absolute joy and I would recommend her.

She is a fantastic professor! I have always been terrible at math, and this is the first math class in my life where I've actually been able to understand everything. She is incredibly clear and explains everything. I would strongly recommend her to anybody who has a difficult time with math. She saved my education.

Lakshmi is an amazing teacher who is dedicated to her students. She welcomes MANY questions and offers extra credit. Anyone that has anything bad to say about her says a lot about their academic career. I have taken two math classes with her and am currently registered to take my third class with her. I LOVE HER! I dreaded taking this class and was so scared after all i've heard about statistics and now I love statistics. 3 exams (2 you can take twice) and no final. Homework is all on MyMathLab and you can re-do it as many times as you want. 2 points a day just for showing up and she's more than willing to help you out. SHE'S LITERALLY AMAZING!!

Very flexible and understanding. She understands the material can be difficult and that we go through the information quick. That being said, if you attend class regularly then she will let you retake quizzes and work on the homework to get an 100%. Also responds to emails quickly.

She is an easy teacher, but I just have a hard time in math and I passed the first time. If you need more time on homework and have a hard time understanding the material she will take the time to help you understand the material. She also gave extra credit towards the exams. She also uses mystatlab for homework and quizzes. she drops 1 test.

She gave very clear lectures and study guide which means you can almost guess what will be on the exams. If complete homework and study guide it is easy to get A. she is always willing to help students and answer question. She has accent but since she makes very clear lectures and writing on the board a lot so it is no problem to understand.

Patiently teaches a frustrating subject (stats) and is great about answering questions. She does have an accent, but it never caused problems for me. She writes most of what says on the board. She has very specific expectations, so pay attention. Her tests are super long, but she does that so missing one or two concepts doesn't destroy your grade.

Goes over all the material in full. Makes sure you understand before moving on to the next topic. Instead of quizzes, she grades on participation. You will need the textbook in class every day. If you don't follow along and do the homework, it gets really hard to catch up. She will accept homework late.

She is a wonderful professor. The class material was easy to understand. She gave us an excel sheet that could solve nearly every type of problem we did, and the homework had answers given.

Shes really nice and explains things very well and makes sure everyone understands things before moving on to the next topic. Responds to emails fast too.

This class was really easy for a stats class. She gives lots of extra credit and is chill about late work.

I don't really understand why Lakshmi has some low reviews, as I had a pretty different experience. I found her lectures easy to follow, & she's very kind & eager to help. Sometimes I didn't understand if we had hw to do, though. Just make sure you're going to every class, doing your hw, checking the syllabus, & asking for help if you need it.

Professor Balaji is a patient and considerate teacher. You can tell she is really on your side and wants you to do well. The material is tough but she takes the time and explains everything thoroughly and then takes even more time to answer any questions you have. She is accessible and is not a tough grader. She is the best teachers at PCC.

Exams are made up of the homework and class sheets. There are a LOT of assignments in this class but the really important ones are the quizzes that you complete on your own time. There are also chapter exams and a final exam, these are worth 100 points each but one of them gets dropped. Attendance isn't required but lectures are helpful.

Lakshmi is bubbly, you will feel very welcomed by her. She drops the lowest scores for every area of grading (including tests) and is easy to understand. The pacing is slow which is great for me. The way she organizes homework is confusing though and she makes you watch lecture recordings before every class. Otherwise, her class was smooth sailing!

Lakshmi is the only teacher I have ever had in 14 years of school that made math understandable for me. I have always struggled but she was easy to follow and her online course was the most interactive I've ever had. I would literally follow her anywhere and am taking her next course as well.

Lakshmi clearly cares about her students, having dealt with issues in math in the past she's makes me feel comfortable to ask questions or clarification without judgment, she respond to emails very frequently, and she offers extra resources and credit to prepare for quizzes and exams wish she taught pre calc would take her class again

This is the first math class I have taken in almost 10 years, and although I struggled a bit, I really enjoyed it. Lakshmi is a very kind person and really knows her algebra. Textbook provided. Grade consists of hw, quizzes, class notes each day, midterm, final, extra credit, and one final powerpoint project. She grades fairly and is happy to help

Fun, easy class! Lakshmi made me enjoy math. Extra credit for each chapter, added so many points by the end of the term i only needed a 40% on the final to still have an A. We'd have a quiz every other week which helped you stay on top of the material. Quiz retakes are just HW that raises grade by a grade lvl. Showing up to class rlly matters!

Made math easier for someone who personally struggles with math (me). Made explanations simple and easy to understand. Gives extra points which could help you raise your grade by a lot. Presentation project at the end of the term. Pretty flexible with late homework. Has an accent but I don't consider it a problem. Overall, pretty good prof.

Lakshmi is a nice person. I feel like her class and the lectures were so faced paced that I had a bit of a hard time understanding certain concepts. I can struggle with math sometimes so the fast-pace of this class wasn't a great fit for me. She is a great instructor otherwise.

She is a great teacher. She explains math concepts thoroughly and in more than one way so that everyone can understand. She will go over a topic as many times as needed to help you understand it. She is very nice and understanding. When I needed to make things up or turn something in late, she was very accommodating.

I had the pleasure of taking Professor Lakshmi Balaji's Elementary Statistics 1 class. She gave excellent lectures, which were very relevant to the work. Grading wise she gave lots of extra credit as well as a very clear schedule. If you are debating on taking one of her classes I cannot recommended her more

An excellent class, I felt that the material was very easy to learn, and the lectures did an excellent job teaching me the material. She is an excellent instructor and quick to respond to emails. Grading is very lenient, with lots of extra credit to help secure an A if needed. Overall, an excellent class and instructor.

Professor Lakshmi provided awesome lectures. she made it easier to understand by listening and applying the materials during class and the project we had to turn in by finals. I personally liked the project, I got to collect data and apply the concepts. I would take her class again
