Professor Guler is the best prof. I've had yet. And I've had great ones. Not only does she know her subject, but she's also witty and interesting and has made me enjoy financial reporting. She really cares about the students as people. She really wants everyone do well. And her teaching style makes concepts so easy to understand. She's amazing.

She organizes her lecture and makes it clear. She treats students friendly. Especially, i'm an international student but it's easy to understand because she pronounces clearly in proper speed. Overall nice!

Professor Guler is wonderful. She wants all her students to do well and she makes sure to help them do it. The class is almost two hours, so she usually gives a five minute break. She is very enthusiastic about accounting and about her students. Gives you every chance to improve your grade.

The person below has no idea what they are talking about. Her exam questions are variations of homework and cpa problems from the book. On top of that, she has the innate ability of generating enthusiasm for a hard topic like accounting. She really does care about her students, and knew everyones name in a large class. Excellent professor. 1 midterm 1 cummulative final. The exams might be a little hard bc she uses cpa questions but if you know the material you should do just fine. She is really nice and wants to help students. We had 2 quizes and at the end she dropped the lowest and used our highest grade

Yes she does use CPA Q's for her tests, but some are the exact same ones as the txtbk/hw so it's some free MC points if you study. I did bad on the midterm (which she curved), but better on the final. The project was annoying but you work in groups. I got a B+ for the class, higher than I expected. She teaches the material well and I recommend her

Prof Guler is the best professor to take for financial I. 1 midterm, 1 final, online quizzes, hw,a group project and final. Exams are based on in class pb, hw pb and practice exams. You can get a good grade fairly easy. Take her, she knows her stuff!

ACC 3000, shes very hard not to like and very pretty as well. you love her accent and her enthusiam for accounting. She graduated from istanbul. shes availble for help anytime, only bad part is 2 exams 35% each, paper takes some work.

Professor Guler is an excellent teacher. She is very caring about her students. She is an expert in accounting and you will know that she loves to teach. She can explain even hardest problems very clearly.This is a class where you have to study. If you do study, you will get an A. She prepares you very well for the subsequent accounting classes.

If you are going to take Acct 3000, than Prof. Guler is the one for you. It is a very difficult course, but she gives you the best chance to succeed.

This is ridiculous. It's juvenile to rate the prof poorly because you did poorly in the midterm. This class reflects your contribution to your time studying. It's def not a breeze. She will help you but you have to work with her. She does her best does not mean you can slack. Not an easy A but she will assist you to get that A.

Professor Guler is great! She goes over problems in class and gives plenty of practice questions to make sure you understand the content. She is very nice. The only negative is that the class is pretty boring because she moves extremely slowly through the material. If you look through her powerpoints and do the suggested homeworks you will find the tests fairly easy. One midterm, one final, and one group reasearch project. Not a bad class.

I was surprised to meet such a passionate prof in acc department. She goes over material many times to help us understand and memorize it. Exams are fair. I got 84 for the midt, 93 for the final. Ended up with A. What I like the most in her teaching style is that you learn the material throughout the semester with her and not at the end by yourself

I've currently taking Cost Accounting with her.. Yes, it is a hard course but she explain so nice.. she is easy to talk to and is always on time and I just love her... Wish i took her for ACC 3000 and 3100...

It is said Acc3200 is the hardest accounting course in Baruch. I took it during the summer with Prof. Guler. She explains the material very well and really make it easy to understand. TAKE HER!

This is the Best Accounting Professor at Baruch College, I have ever encountered. She is very much interesting in her students understanding the materials and doing well, not just receiving a pay check. There is a method she advises you to use which is the blank page approach. Follow her instructions and you will do well. I highly recommend her.

Professor Guler is a great professor. Cost accounting is the toughest accounting course in Baruch but she teaches it very well. Exams are departmental so there's nothing she can do about that but she does her best to prepare her students. She actually wants to see them succeed. I definitely recommend her!

Prof Guler requires high ratings on ratemyprof to be motivated to teach lol. Jokes aside, she is a very knowledgeable prof and a great teacher. She really enjoys accounting. U will have a great experience in her class. 1 Midtrm, 1 Final, 1 group proj, and HW approx. every other week. Exams are difficult, but that is expected in an accounting class.

Very enthusiastic about her teaching. She goes over concepts and examples in class down to the point where it's not hard at all to understand. I've took the 4 hour Friday course with her and it really doesn't feel like 4 hours at all. Time goes by really quickly and the way she handles the class, it doesn't put you to sleep.

No need for a textbook - kind of. Her PP slides will be sufficient in studying. Just do the CPA/CMA Questions to study for the test and have a thorough understanding of the chapters and you'll be fine. Thanks for the great semester Prof. Guler ! :)

She is Kemal Ataturk's delightful but DIFFICULT daughter. Do not take her if you will not make her class the centerpiece of your life for the semester. I just love her.

Her problem is, she does not have industry experience as an accountant. She can explain what is in the book well, but cannot relate the subject to real-life experience. She'll explain you well the concepts abtractly but if you have insightful questions based on professional experience, she is not the one to answer.

this class is not easy. the material is just hard, but professor Guler tried very hard to help. she curves if she think it's neccesary. i took her for both 3000+3100. 3000is 1mt, 1final and a group project. i only had 70 for mt n still get A- for 3000. 3100 had 2mts and 1final, no project. final was ccumulative.

Took Prof Gular for Auditing at UT Dallas. Overall great professor, cares about students success . Expectations are clear, tests are straight forward from the material. Attend lectures, read the book, study PPT slides. One paper and one group project, neither were difficult but require a good amount of work. I learned a lot from the group project.
