Great teacher took her for Arabic 101. only problem is she goes way to fast like 3 new letters of the alphabet in like 2 hrs. Shes HOT thoe but if your going to skip this class is not for you what she teaches in one day youll have a hard time catching back up.

Great teacher. Fun class. Culturally interesting with festive events and a field trip to a middle eastern restaurant. Arabic is a very hard language to learn but Professor Hamdan makes it easier. Participation is important and for your own benefit. Keep up with the homework and you'll do very well. Extra credit opportunities.

I have been taken Arabic classes since I was five years old and Professor Hamdan is truly like a breath of fresh air! She's straight forward, helpful, and just makes class fun to be in. I'm glad I've taken her and will DEFINITELY take her again next semester.

Professor lama is great. She is very good at explaining the material and is well respected by her student. though I took a six week course, professor Lama was able to provide us with the necessary materials and handouts that allowed us to understand the material and challenged us. Her grading criteria is to the point and I alway knew what to expect

This was my first time taking ARA 201( just needed to ake language 201-202. I have NO prior arabic teaching what so ever, but Professor Hamdan recommended I start with 201. Honestly, it is all about putting in the work and effort and she is willing to work one-on-one with you. To was hard for a non- speaker, but she literally gives you extra help.

Do your work, please do your work. Get ready to do some reading out loud in class. If you skip more than a day in this class and if you do not take any notes you will struggle. but she is a nice teacher and she gives lots of extra credit.

This is my second time having her. She's VERY straightforward. This class was a super quick one because I took the 6 week Summer class. If you put in genuine effort, you'll pass with an A. She's super kind and I advise if you take her to never be shy to ask for help or questions in or outside of class.

She's ok, I completed all my assignments so I didn't have to take the final exam. The course was very easy, if you're not fluent in Arabic you might struggle. She's a bit careless and takes a long time to grade

Really nice and smart. Terrible handwriting but just ask her to rewrite it and she will. Offers a lot of help to non-native speakers (like me), especially if you show up to her office hours. Prof. Hamdan class was structured in a way that the material she gave us wasnt rushed. If you do the hw, come to class, and participate then youll be fine.

She is an amazing professor , she provides the copies of the chapters for the students to print out instead of buying the book. she is understanding caring person and the lecture was a lot of fun. there are a lot of extra credits and she will drop the lowest point.

It'll be challenging at first for non native speakers, especially if you don't show up. A lot of materials to cover because 101 is the base of arabic. BUT if you show up, pay attention in class, and do the homework/assignments given, you'll be fine.

Prof Hamdan is the best Arabic & one of the best professors in general at NOVA. She really cares & does everything possible to ensure students succeed, especially non-native speakers (me). Tons of fun EC assignments make it hard to fail. High difficulty is because Arabic itself is hard. This is no easy A, but she'll get you through. Loved it!

I took this class online and it was worth it. Very clear and easy to get the work done. If you submit assignments late she gives you full credit. The only issue is that she takes a while to reply to emails and to grade work. Other than that, its an easy class to take.

Professor Hamdan is one of the best professor at NOVA! She is super genuine and varies a lot about her students. This is my third course Ive taken with her and despite the courses all going virtual she was extremely organized and always responded to emails quickly. All the information for the class was on canvas but she always made the extra steps

I was so scared to take a beginners Arabic class online because of the fact that Arabic is one of the hardest languages. However, Professor Hamdan handled it very well and made it very easy. The course is very well organized on canvas. All the information you need is included, even after you miss a class. Her zoom lectures are very informative.

She's actually a very nice professor. I am dual-enrolled from high school I have over a 100% in the class but I speak Arabic so it's pretty easy for Mr fo the people that don't speak Arabic it isn't impossible to do the class.

I would definitely recommend this professor for Arabic. Whether you are a fluent speaker or a beginner. There is a good amount of assignments, however, it does help you to do better in her class. I am looking forward to taking her class in the future.

Amazing professor. I learned far more from this course than I have in any of my courses at NOVA before. Professor Lama knows her material and cleverly incorporates relevant anecdotes into her lectures. Not only do they entertain, but they catalyze the learning process immensely.

Honestly a easy professor that actually teaches and understands life can happen and that you have other classes to work on as well. Very generous with extra credit and very clear on what she wants. Participation greatly matters. Show up and you will get an A!

Prof. Hamdan is a good choice for Arabic in NOVA, she teaches material in a clear way and answers any questions before moving forward. However, she moves a little fast with there being a quiz at the end of each chapter, and her moving fast could get a little hectic for non-native speakers. But if you are keen on learning Arabic, you will be good.

This Professor is literally so nice and out going and she is there to help with anything you need she gives you time and helps you understand everything before it is taken.

I was also worried about the pace but the professor explain any question I brought up. so if you feel overwhelmed just give it time and ask her questions. She is a great professor. I took her for all four, ARA 101, ARA 102, ARA 201, and ARA 202. It is a bit difficult of course as you are learning a new language, but pay attention, do your work, and attend class regularly and you will be fine.

This professor is the easiest one you can have for Arabic 202. Most of the homework assignments are on Lingco or the textbook and for each week, it's a decent amount. The quizzes always have an extra credit that saves a few points of your grade, and other assignments are Arabic Movie Reviews and Journal Entry. And the lessons are reviewed in class.

She is really focused on the book/course materials and does not deviate. Be prepared to access other materials to supplement your education.

Even though Arabic 102 is a relatively tough class, Professor Hamadan was very patient and eager to help throughout the semester. She is also one of the teachers who is very understanding and wants you to succeed in class.

I really liked this professor, I had her for ARA 101 and ARA 102. She is very straight forward with what she teaches. She follows an online textbook called AlifBa I believe. The coursework isnt too much and if you study and prepare, the quizes are straightforward. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed, willing to help students.

Arabic can be a difficult language to grasp for non-native speakers - that said, Dr. Hamdan is the be absolute best language teacher I have ever had. She goes beyond what is expected of her.
