An exciting person which makes for an exciting class. Feild trips are cool.

this teacher is great. i had the fun and i learned a lot. it has been wonderful having this class in the summer.

Very very difficult teacher. Very picky. Be careful with grammar. 5 or more per page she will give you an F. She has no shame in giving F's. Not very understanding.

She is a very friendly teacher and approachable. Always willing to help. Though, she grades very hard on essays. She makes it clear on whatever you don't understand. She makes you work. But she's easy going. Her class wasn't boring.

Great teacher, hard; but easily approachable if you need help. Don't get her started on the Iraq War though.

Great teacher. Knows her stuff. She's hot, even though she's a mature woman, i still think she's very very hot.

Very good teacher. She should be teaching at the university level. She is a very opinionated democrat with very liberal ideas. This should not dissuade you as she seems to respect your opinion especially if you can organize and back it up. A fun teacher who likes good class discussions.

she's cool! didnt' think i would be into yoga as much as i am today, but she makes it worth going too. she's friendly to everyone. great instructor, more like a friend :)

She's a very nice person, respects everyone's opinion, and has a nice butt. She makes you think about stuff, and whether or not this subject is hard depends on how well you can write. If you aren't doing too well, she can help you out, but be ready to think.

She's a good looking female, easy on the eyes. Easy class and she is willing to help. Not alot of essays. She's anal on the MLA format and she helps you out with that as well. Good discussions and she occasionally side tracks. Lots of laughs.

She's a great teacher. She'll help anyone who needs it. She's down to earth and very approachable. There isn't too much homework and not that many essays. She's very beautiful for a mature woman.

She is fun, but very hard.

She's okay. The essays are really easy, that is, if you know what you're doing. She does grade kind of hard, but it's for your own benefit. Anyway, she is kind of anal on MLA format, but it's not that hard to remember. Oh, it gets really quiet if no one participates... so if you're afraid of awkward silence, raise your hand and say something!

She's a very nice and attractive teacher, but be warned because she's not easy. She doens't give you too much work, but she wants you to read quite a bit. On her essays, you must think things clearly and use the MLA format. I've never seen an opinionated person like her. I might not like all her opinions, but she's okay. I respect her as a teacher.

MS. DAVIS IS VERY COOL. SHE ISN'T STRICT, SHE ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING COOL TO TALK ABOUT. SHE REALLY KNOWS WHAT SHE IS TEACHING. BUT IF YOU ARE LAZY AND DON'T DO YOUR WORK, SHE WILL GIVE POP QUIZES WHICH ARE SURPRISING AND WILL HURT YOUR GRADE.

Great teacher, however, she is a tough grader...no one in any of her 116 classes got an "a". Also, you better know MLA format, if you don't I suggest buying a handbook becuase she is BIG on that. She is willing to help you with any assignments whether it is for her class or someone elses.

Very smart teacher. knows about everything besides English. difficult to keep with class if you do not attend. We have a blast in class every day we meet. not boring at all.

Ms. Davis is a wonderful yoga instructor. I had a lot of fun in her class. I was skeptical about yoga at first, but she helps you thru the poses. She is always willing to help you out if you need. Sweet woman.

Ms. Davis is one of the toughest professor teaching English. I learned a lot of things from her. At the same time, she's a tough grader esp. on essays. If you want challenge her , take her.

She is very funny. She makes you do hard work but helps you whenever you need help. Even though her class in hard for those students that want a challenge and become a better writer take this class. I really recommend this class becasue it helps you to write better.

yeah she's a hard teacher, but she makes sure you leave the class knowing something about writing. She's not going to pass you unless she knows you are ready to move on.

She was fun and interesting...she doesn't really believe in mandatory attendance but she said the college requires it...if you don't know MLA you better learn it she helps a lot if you ask i would take her again without a doubt

I took her last semester and she was ALOT of fun. She helps you on your essays and makes sure you know what to do in order to write better. Take her if you want to improve your writting skills and not have to read a boring text book to do so.

She is a very good teacher, you will learn alot with her. BUT the class is very challenging, her demands and expectations are high, but the essays are very interesting, and the class is fun. She is a very good teacher, just be prepared for a very challenging course.

Extremely difficult instructor, but I feel like I'm really going to take a lot with me after I finish this class. I'm actually learning a LOT in this class, learning to write essays analytically. She does love her red pen, though. She really is a nice person, but she is a very challenging professor. One of the most challenging I've ever had.

the class is hard, its really challenging, but it's worth taking if you really want to learn. if you just want a passing grade, don't waste your time. she is the nicest teacher and she is always willing to help, take advatange of her office hours, they are worth it.

Extremely hard prof. Most challenging prof. in SWC perhaps, at least in the Eng. department. However, her correcting methods actually make you concentrate hard on the material. She's still fair and her course is unique but not many students will be able to pass her class. Got a C. Probably would've had a B if I wasn't so burned out at the end.

I love that she wears cowboy boots everyday. She expects a lot out us but this IS college. Essays always come back bleeding but take the time to ask questions and dont wait till last minute to type your paper, show up with assignments done AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT SHE SAYS. a lot of ppl dont.

She's a great teacher and she pushes her students to be great at writing. I do learn alot from her. She's very sweet and respectful. Take her class if you want to learn the right way to write.

Professor Davis is a hard grader! But if you stick with her and try your best at doing what she ask of you, you will eventually get it by the end of the semester. Don't drop her class. She sees your progress and even if you don't get a perfect paper at the end, if she sees you get it, you will pass! But don't be mislead she will fail you if needed.

Very tough grader. All of my papers got Ds but in the end she passed me with a C. She'll pass you if she saw the progress in your writing, if she sees you actually tried throughout the semester. Not an easy A, but she makes the class interesting.

She is not an A for effort kind of professor. If you need this class for core work than look elsewhere but if you want to write well then this is your lady. I think this would be a good place for english majors to start because you will learn quickly if you can't handle criticism which all writers must face. I have seen people cry after class.

Professor Davis is very dedicated to English, and she does an amazing job. She is tough, however, I believe her motives to be of best intentions. She wants to educate us, and strives for improvement. I will agree that she doesn't always step by step instruct students, it's not the end of life. She has moxy, spunk, character, and zest. Very lively!

I enjoyed her class. She expects a lot from her students. This class requires you to put some effort even if that calls for hours of analyzing. Its refreshing to have a challenging class because you only grow from it. Just go in with a positive outlook and you will succeed:)

This class is 60% thinking, 20% writing, and 20% rewriting.
