He is such a nice guy! His lectures can at times get a bit boring but if you talk to him during lectures and try debating ideas with him it becames much more fun. His test are kind of difficult but if you study and read parts of the book you should be fine. Very cool guy and I recommend his class!

New teacher to the campus...powerpoint notes can't steer you wrong. As long as you study the vocabulary terms, notes, and go over the charts in the book, you'll do fine. Willing to help, but he is a bit biased about his opinions of the material. Cuts out a lot of sections from the book.

Great teacher. He's so easy and fun. His powerpoint sounds keep you awake, even at a 8am class. He knows his stuff and the tests are a reflection of the material. An easy A as long as you read. In Class participation points help alot so attend class. Awesome Guy.

Wonderful man. Addicted to Powerpoint which makes the class very easy to follow. No attendance policy; however, you get points for in-class assignments so be there to get easy points! Tests can be tricky but all you have to do is read the chapters. Highly recommended!!

He's an ok professor. However I would not recommend taking his class if you have a learning disability because his tests are very wordy. Half of the class dropped his class because of the tests. Make use of flash cards- they are your friends.

Class was interesting and informative. He is very long winded and encourages class discussion but doesn't give you a chance to speak in open discussion. He monopolizes class discussions with his opinions. He is more opinionated with class information then factual. Test are easy if you read the text before each class. No attendence policy.

He is a very energetic professor that never stop talking. He uses crazy sound bytes from different law movies or shows namely Law and Order.

Really awesome professor. He adopts a simple lecture note test format but he often goes off on rants in class so you need to read on your own if you want to do well. As long as you read the tests are really easy. 4 tests he drops the lowest test grade and one non cumulative final. A very nice person willing to help highly recomended.

Dr. Garmon made it easy to succeed in his class. He clearly outlined what was to be on the tests and was entertaining with funny sound effects. He used countless examples to illustrate topics. Use notecards for the definitions and you can't go wrong. Great discussions too! Highly reccommended!

he is one of the most helpful teachers at SU and really cares about his students. take his online developmental class-you learn a lot and he gives 15 extra credit points. you can get an A or B for sure

A really great teacher. He is really knowledged in psycology and understands how to relate it to the real world. He has a passion for teaching and is really helpful. He uses his powerpoint effectively. The tests were actually pretty hard if you dont read the text book, but there is plenty of other stuff to bring your grade up. Online quizes too.

This teacher is awesome! He makes class interesting and really knows his stuff. No classwork. Gives good notes. You take an online quiz after every chapter, but they're easy, 12 questions long and you can take each one twice.There are only a few test that are not that hard if you study the quizzes and notes! Overall easy class and I loved it!

Great teacher. Fun class and it's easy to take notes because he uses powerpoints. Attendence is not required, however, and most of the exams are based right out of the txtbook. He uses a lot of humor like Family Guy sound clips throughout his powerpoints.

Great teacher! Attendance not mandatory and most of his quizzes/exams were from the textbook, so as long as you read them you'll be fine. Lots of work though. You have to do a quiz after every chapter and a discussion and a quiz every week on top of the chapter quizzes but they're EASY. Tests are kinda hard, but he teaches really well. Recommended!

Dr. Garmon is one of the best professors I've had at Salisbury! He is so knowledgeable about his subject, and genuinely enjoys teaching it. He makes class interesting, even during lecture. I learned so much from Dr. Garmon in the two classes I took with him. If you get the chance, do take one of his classes, you won't be disappointed!

Legt best professor I've ever had. I had the worst luck with loosing all of my work off of my hard drive and several other random bad things happening. Dr.Garmon was the most understanding and helpful, he respects and trusts his students. Best psych prof Ive had yet!

Such a great teacher!!! I would totally recommend him for any psych class he teaches. Very helpful and considerate of everyone. Always responds to emails. His tests are a little tricky but psychology is like that. Besides that, I would totally take another class with him!

Garmon is amazing! Great professor, tells you everything you need to know in class (but you do have to come to class or you'll miss it.) Lectures are fun and interactive, he has a sense of humor that he portrays into the power points. :) I recommend him for PSYC 101!

This class was great, I recommend Dr. Garmon. Class isn't mandatory but he may ask questions he said in class. Showed alot of interesting videos. Overall just review the notes and read the chapter and an A or B is attainable.

Dr. Garmon is cool. He always makes sure you know what is going on, and what your grade is. He understands most people who take 101 are taking it as a gen ed, and he teaches it knowing that. There are lots of opportunities to get points, but make sure you don't slack off on the tests like i did, an A is very doable.

I took this class this summer online which means it was an accelerated class and it was still super easy. The best part about it was that it was easy but I also learned a ton!! His quizzes were after each chapter and you have 3 tests. They are straight from the power points that he provides and the book. plus, you get to move at your own pace!!

Lectures aren't boring, gives points for being in class so its probably best to go to class, pretty funny and keeps the lectures interesting

I've taken Garmon for psych 101, 321 and 320. He is very big on giving out random participation points and uses clicker questions to get the class involved almost every day. Very straight forward about what is on his tests. He makes chp quizzes so you know what to focus on when studying. Other assignments also serve as easy grade buffers. Def Take!

I was lucky when I got into Dr. Garmon's psychology and law class; he is only allowed to offer it every other semester and have one section of it, unfortunately, which is an outrage. It was such a fun and interesting class! Dr. Garmon is big into clicker questions; they are included as extra credit points toward your final grade. He's awesome!

Awesome professor. Really knows what he is doing. The course has a lot of options for extra credit and he made sure to remind us everyday which was really helpful. He made clicker questions fun by making fun of famous people. Only thing i'd advise is to study for his tests because they are very tough but he prepares you for them. He's the best!

I really like how he knows that most of the students in the class are just taking psychology as a gen ed so he really tries to make class fun and interesting. Tests are not too bad if you study, and their are many available ways to boost your grade

Dr. Garmon is a great teacher and makes his lectures very entertaining/interesting. His powerpoints are very organized and gives you plenty of time to take notes on the material he provides. Questions are extremely encouraged with him! Do the Launchpad assignments given for homework, he counts it as an exam grade and it covers the information well.

Garmon's a pretty cool guy. If you take notes and show up to class it's pretty easy to get an A. The textbook isn't really needed but the online code is for homework. He gives a ton of bonus points to help your grade just by doing participation/preparation clicker questions. Make sure you try on the homework because it helps your grade. Fun class!

psyc 101 with garmon is so easy. the clicker questions are really helpful for the test and the tests aren't hard either if you study. definitely go to class and get the clicker points. there's a lot of note taking but also a lot of extra credit points which are easy to get

I took Psych 101 with Garmon and the class itself was easy and interesting but the tests were hard. He didn't tell the students that it was necessary to read outside of class but it definitely is for the exams. Clicker points are really important so you must attend class. Great guy and super helpful if you go to his office hours

I took his class my first semester of my freshman year for Psych 101 and i absolutely loved it. i found out I had to take Psych 300 and was so excited to see that he taught that class too. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Garmon. He is amazing!

As long as your in class for lectures, and complete the online assignments, you can expect a good grade! The pacing of the class is very good, and the assignments are mostly easy to complete. The tests are mildly difficult, but as long as you are present for lectures and study the online quizzes, you should do fine!

I started to really love Psychology because of Dr. Garmon. He knows his stuff and very good at teaching it. Must show up to lectures and stay on top of online assignments for a good grade.

I took him over the summer for his adolescence class. It was very easy. I even sent him an email at one point because one of my answers I thought was right and the question was worded weirdly. He THANKED me for emailing him and told me he wish more students would do this. Great teacher. Online class is awesome and easy as long as you do the work.

Professor Garmen actually cares about what he teaches. If you put in the effort to study you'll do just fine but you do have to study. He is very understanding and wants you to succeed. Highly recommend this teacher.

great teacher. he is funny and really relates to you and real world. he is extremely knowledgable with what he teaches. the exams are a bit difficult (I always failed them) but was able to get a B only because his assignments help boost your grade up. doesn't give study guides which sucks. everyone does bad on his exams so I think this is why.

Dr. Garmon makes Developmental Psych such a fun class! I looked forward to his lectures and I learned a lot. Attendance is not mandatory, but he does give participation points so if you skip a lot of classes it will affect your grade somewhat. They're easy points so if you go to class and take good notes there is no reason to not get an A or a B

Truly the greatest college professor I've come across. He gives you EVERY opportunity to pass his class. He's an interesting lecturer, in an hour and 15 minute class thats all you can ask for! I would def not skip class though, he's big on clicker questions so if you miss the day you miss those clicker points. Very simple but adds up in the end.

Dr. Garmon is a great professor! Attendance is mandatory because he doesn't post his PowerPoints online and you get points for showing up. Only a few assignments/discussions and they're really easy if you follow directions. Only three exams including the final. If you study your notes, chapter quizzes, and read the textbook you'll do fine.

I loved Dr. Garmon! He's super knowledgeable and loves what he teaches. He also provides a lot of participation points and extra credit so those are great grade boosters. Dr. Garmon is one of those special professors. He truly cares about his students and is willing to help however he can. His use of MyClasses is A+ and he gives great feedback. The class I took with him was super interesting, but challenging. Dr. Garmon knows how to encourage his students to work hard for their grades, while still making class fun.

Dr. Garmon uses many different forms of media during his lectures to make it as interesting as possible. You will do your homework online and if you use the optional quizzes in the online section at the end of each chapter to study you will ace your exams. I studied this way for every single exam and I ended up with a 99% in his class.

Make sure you go to class because he has clicker questions in class! There is literally no reason for you not to receive an "A" in the class. He is also humorous.

Dr. Garmon is very knowledgeable and kind. Every class is just a conversation with classmates, and there is no pressure to participate if you have nothing to contribute. I loved being in his class.

Professor Garmon gave plenty of extra credit points and you would have to try hard to even get below an A. All the exams and assignments were online and rarely took more than 15-20 mins to complete. we had a question or two we had to answer every class that proved we were there, but it was worth it as he would give lots of extra points.

This class is literally the easiest class. The course work is all online and if you take notes during the lecture and do all the achieve assignments, you will do fine on the exams.

Dr.Garmon is awesome and I would 100% recoomend his class. He is extremely passionate and wants to connect with students. He always brought interesting topics to seminar and is great at connecting obscure topics to the class. There are 4 tests which can be hard to study for due to their vague study guide and formatting. Definitely recommend taking Dr. Garmon for this course if you have the option! Lots of extra credit opportunities, as long as you do the assignments you can get a good grade. With extra credit I ended with a little over a 102% in the class. Take the lecture notes, do the clicker questions, exams and extra credit, and you'll be just fine!

Professor Garmon is someone I would recommend taking every class with. He made the content very clear and was transparent about what he expected in regard to assignments. While most of his class time is lectures, he tries to engage with the students rather than just read off the screen, which at least in my case made a world of difference.

Professor Garmon is the sweetest and the most caring professor on campus. His class is super easy. There are no exams!!! There are weekly quizzes and occasionally reading quizzes (open notes). Other than that, he grades you on discussion posts and stimulators. This class is super easy!!

The class is straightforward, with an emphasis on participation and APA style. While the professor is knowledgeable, there can be inconsistencies in grading. Unstuck ai proved helpful for study prep.

Took 375 and 200 with this professor. Both classes were online. There were a decent amount of assignments due throughout the semester, but they were not difficult. He seems like a really nice guy despite it being an online course. Class is well organized. Offers numerous extra credit opportunities.

Quite genuinely was the most straightforward class I have ever been in. I never had a moment of confusion and I really liked how he went over all the upcoming assignments almost every day in class which guaranteed me to never miss an assignment.
