Bro. Nelson is one of the best teachers I've had. His explanations are very clear and he brings demos to class to help improve your understanding. He is willing to work with you on a one-on-one basis and is very patient with you when you don't understand something. He also allows test corrections after every exam but the final.

Prof. Nelson you a lot and teaches things very clearly. He is very concerned with how you learn the physics principles behind the problem. This was one of the worst classes I have taken in the physics department. Bro. Nelson's lectures are unclear and unhelpful. Worse still, his tests are based off of questions he found online, so often times don't really connect with the homework and lectures. His tests are mostly multiple choice, which is really rough for a physics class.

He would have us read the chapter, talk about it for 20 minutes a week, and then the rest of the time we would have to write programs. Sounds fine, right? Well, most of us had no idea what we were doing, hence why we take the class. He would then blame us for taking up all his time asking for help for why he couldn't get any grading done. Get a TA.

Not a hard class, but a frustrating one.
