I thought Mr. Parr was a great teacher and great guy. I had for report writing and criminal law. I really learned a lot in both classes and enjoyed his stories. I liked coming to class.

Some comments here are clearly from poor students who want to blame Parr for their bad grades. I'm male and I didn't see that it hurt my grade at all. If you study the notes, you'll do well. Awesome grading system.

Take these classes. You learn a ton. He grades on a curve type system which benefits all students. Uses plenty of examples so you understand. He gives only tests, no homework, no papers. Just go to class and read his notes. Easy A. Rock On!

Love this teacher, grading system awesome. Most either love or hate. Those who hate did poorly! Test right out of notes, the notes that you download are teh same he uses. DON'T BUY THE BOOKS. You don't EVER need them. Funny guy I took all of his classes.

I beleive his intelligence is mistaken as arrogance. He is a knowlegable instructor. His class is interesting and his tests do require you to study. He has no tolerance for students disrupting his class (ie.cell phones, tardiness). Overall he is very reasonable.

I don't like his style. He thinks he's a lot funnier and smarter than he really is. With that said, the class is very straightforward and easy to ace if you just do what he says (not all of which I agree with).

Take Parr for all the aoj classes you can! He's a great teacher! He makes it sooo easy to learn and succeed in his classes. All notes can be printed and his grading system should be mandatory for all instructors!!!!!

This is a challenging class. He grades on a curve, which is cool. He has a dry sence of humor, but he is funny at times. People don't care for him, but he is not that bad. About 85% of the class will get an A or B.

This is the third class I've had w/ Parr. I was interested in AOJ 110 and AOJ 200, but report writing seemed like a boring class to me. I was actually surprised. I liked the class. Parr made it interesting. He's a funny guy. At first, I thought the class was kind of pointless, but I was wrong. :)

I had Parr for a couple of years actually . I took all of his class for AOJ . I can see what everyone is saying about him . But he really is a great teacher , he always held my interest , I always got As except for that damn spelling test . I got an A in the class , but I did my work and studied when I needed to . I think people love him or hate him , and 90% of us love him so that mkaes 90 the new 100 if you go by his grading ..and there it is Mr Parr 100% of us love you . Keep up the good work .

Parr makes you work. Not everyone likes that. I want to learn, so I liked him. Lazy bums will think he's horrible. I'll happily take another of his classes.

Parr's ex-cop stories are funny and interesting. if your a cop person you will love him, hes cop talk and cop walk. you need to study for the test and he switches his wording around so read the questions thoroughly. Hes a good teacher. The keeping the elephants away by snapping thing is dumb.

Great teacher!!! If you want to know your stuff he's the man!! Some people don't like work and think it's a four letter word and give him a bad wrap, but he's awesome!! He's very straightforward on his expectations and expects you to do your part!! There is nothing wrong with that!!

Great teacher. Supplements lectures with interesting stories from his days with the police department. Wording on his tests are a bit tricky but he compensates by having a fair grading system.

You can't skate through the class, you have to put out some effort and you have to attend each class. But the assignments are simple/straight forward. Don't think hard about 'em, just do 'em. I swear that Mr. Parr had to be Tommy Lee Jones' muse for the movie U.S. Marshals. That alone helped me stay awake and entertained thru the boring subject.

Great teacher with a great grading system. Sharp as a tack, too. The books aren't necessary, all the notes are online. Not the most approachable of people, but he's very funny and a really good lecturer. Picks on you if he likes you and picks on you even more if he doesn't! Tests are all straight out of the notes.

This class is pretty cool. Its very easy and you only grade is based on Quizes which are really easy if you study the papers he gives you. He will make you laugh throughout class which is a plus. No final if you have a good grade.

His opinions are clearly labeled as such. The rest is hard core facts. He provides what you need to get a good grade. Young men with ego problems have trouble with him.

I took this class online and it was a breeze. There are only quizes and digital notes to study for the test. You don't have to buy the book, only study the notes. Fairly easy class to get an "A" in. I recommend the online A+.

Mr. Parr is a very straight-forward teacher. He tells you what is expected, so you know exacly what he expects. I found him to be an extremely helpful Professor. He has many good stories from his day's as a Police Officer. If you listen to his lecture's in class, study the notes, fill in the study guides he gives you, you can get a good grade.

Took this class online during the summer. It is intensive because of the short schedule (2 months), but as long as you read the books/notes, turn in the assignments on time and answer the quiz questions accurately then it should be straight forward. On the report assignments, just re-write them with straight, simple dialog - no police jargon.

Very easy course, material for the entire semester is posted on his website. All you need to do is complete the work to receive a decent grade..highly recommend taking both his AOJ 110 & 230.

EASY class. Didn't need the textbook. He sent us study guides and his lecuture notes provided all the info needed. Easy A. 20 min to read the lecuture notes and 20 min to take the tests. Final is just the last chapter. Easy class. I did learn a lot too! He gives 2 weeks to take each test. Easy A for less than an hour each week.

I took my first aoj class with parr in 07 and dropped out..FAST. I'm taking public safety with him and its SO much better. Its not an easy class but it is passible.

The easiest ONLINE class I ever took.Teacher responds to emails fast and explains very well.He does not give extra credit but you don't really need any.He gave 5 question quizzes every week and the final was a 5 question quiz too.There was no homework just reading the book and his class notes.I don't know the teacher since I took his class online.

I took AOJ 110 online. Great teacher. He know's his stuff. Very easy. Read his online weekly notes, submit exams on time and you will pass the class. No homework, just class notes, reading and quizzes. I was very pleased that he did everything via email instead of blackboard. I would definitely recommend this class and Prof Parr to others.

Parr was a great professor. He was always straight to the point, and he explained things exactly how they really are. He always gave good examples too when explaining the compilcated stuff. Would recommend him if you're thinking about taking him. Just don't come in late or you'll be embarassed

Took class online. The class is so easy it's a joke. Professor seems to be a little bit of a macho type. You can't win an argument against him. Don't buy the textbook. The only way to NOT pass his class, is to be lazy, and be tardy. Both of which we as adults should not have an issue with. If you show up late and interrupt him, he has a right to be upset. Easily my favorite professor and class that I've had thus far in my college career. The information is the most useful by far, and he conveyed it in extremely interesting, and often times hilarious ways. As long as you show up and take light notes, you won't even need the textbook, I never even bought it. A must take course, in my opinion.

When I started this class I was worried that not having a textbook and relying on the online notes would be an obstacle thankfully the online notes cover everything youll need to know about the lessons. His lectures remind me of the rants by George Carlin if you get past the stern attitude hes a great professor and his instructions are very clear.

I loved coming to this class. His lectures were so interesting, and it was cool to hear about real experiences he had when he was a cop. If you take notes and do the study guides this class is an easy A. If you are an AOJ major this is the class for you!

I liked him! I can see why some wouldn't but I liked how he was hard headed and to the point. If you ask stupid questions, don't pay attention or don't have common sense….. excel in that before attending his class. One of my favorite multiple choice answers on his tests was: "because nobody cares". great class. should be a prereq for AOJ 218.

Awesome teacher! Very easy class! Can use all notes on test. Show up everyday on time and don't fall asleep! Lectures do get a little long tough to stay awake. He will keep you entertained with his humor and first hand stories from the field of law enforcement. Easy A!

Notes and study guide are online. Study guides are direct questions from the notes, and can use both on the tests. The tests are literally the same questions as the study guide just worded slightly different. Sometimes test questions arent clear but he throws out at least a couple per test. Easiest class ever if you dont have an A youre an idiot

Professor Parr is by far, one of the best teachers I've had to date. He's pretty intimidating, but as long as you don't slack off and pay attention - you'll get along fine with him. Attendance matters in you doing well. All of the notes and study guides are online. And he covers everything in class to the letter. Really good professor.

Professor Parr is hilarious, he has a humor that may offend some people but he is an amazing professor I love his lectures because he thoroughly explains things. He is really strict so don't be late and try your best not to be absent. other than that the class is really easy tests are open note open book so it's pretty hard to fail.

There is no homework or book required and only four tests throughout the 13 chapters. Open note/book tests but he does make them a little difficult. Definitely recommend him!
