Saturday drawing class is a dull joke. Concepts are introduced, but approach is not. Too much partenering up and portrait attempts. Don't waste your Saturday for 3 credits. If you are into it, don't buy the overpriced textbook; it was not referred to at any time. This class felt like kindergarten; not the way to learn to draw.

Lance is a great guy. He has great techniques to help his students achieve their goals. He is very patient with students and is always willing to help whenever you need his guidance. I have taken many classes with him and I am always amazed how much students improve through the term. His class is not hard to get an A in and you'll have a fun too!

I found his history class to be lively, and enjoyable. People will do poorly if they do not do the reading, and participate in class discussion. If you take it seriously you will do very well, and if you do the minimal amount of homework required, you will still pass.

Pynes is a great professor! I'm about to take him for the 3rd time! HILARIOUS! Especially if you like dark humor. And if you don't, you are in the wrong citystate in the first place! Go back to SoCal! Anyways, yeah, L.P. is a great fellow to learn from. He likes a healthy sense of humor in his students, and dislikes lamers. Respect him!

Probably the best Art professor in PCC, and definitely the best at Sylvania. An excellent bridge between the classical et modern styles. Follow his direction and you'll gain a perspective, which holds value cross disciplines. Lance is honest, so if you don't want to improve, you may find him critical. Truly, he is out to help you the better.

I am already a very experienced artist and usually have no issues being able to explore my artistic side at PCC.. but I found it hard to go around his specific guidelines. He hates specific styles and makes it clear that artists who use photographs or prefer realism are "not true artists". Says to be more open minded but he isn't whatsoever.

Professor Pynes is a wonderfully intelligent man. He creates and provides one of the most captivating, engaging, and inspiring lectures I have ever had the honor of attending. From the first day of class you depart on this virtual global journey through art history. He is absolutely amazing, I highly recommend him He does not disappoint.
