Mr. Ailanjian is a pretty cool teacher, likes to joke around and has fun with his class. Tries to interject humor in to lecture with funny slides in his powerpoints, and jokes. All tests are open note except final, could probably get away without using the book. Only complaint is sometimes he can joke a little to much, and it takes up time.

Pretty easy if you go to the lectures and get the book all tests are open notes open book except for final. Great teacher! Down to earth and kool!

Really knows his subject. Cares for all his students. Goes the extra mile to make sure he meets the needs of his students. Not bad to look at for a grandpa.

Awesome instructor!Jokes a lot in class,but he does stay on task.He is very helpful if you need him.All of the quiz are really easy as long as you were there for the lecture,if you weren't there for the lecture if you had the note you would pass.Everything he lectures about are on the quiz and final.Quizes are open note and book.

Really cares about his student's success in his class. I dreaded having to take history, but needed it to transfer. I now would consider taking additional history classes because of my positive experience in this class.

Helpful, always answered questions. Each class is a power point lecture, which sometimes can seem long. After each class you take an online 10 point quiz. (Easy points, don't forget them!) He gives two exams. The mid-term is open note/book but the final is all from memory. If you put in a minor amount of study time, it's all easy. (No papers.)

Come to class, take notes, never open the book, get an A.

Ailanjian is a great professor, wonderful teaching method, comprehensible material, keeps you interested in the class. Makes you want to learn more. Very knowledgeable man, his lectures provide more information than the book! Recommended class for those loving to listen to stories as well (history related of course).

This prefessor is fantastic. I recommeded anyone to take his class because he a great teacher with funny personality. His grading is fair fair in his class and he isn't hard at all. I would said that you should go to class everyday to attain a good grade in his class.

Dont miss class there is a quiz every week worth 10 points. Pay attention and take good notes. It was hard to concentrate because he is good looking:-)

This was the last class I needed to graduate. Failed it two times before with other Professors. I actually learned and had fun!!! Thats right fun!!! Mr. A is easy to listen to and to look at :)

I have always hated history and put this class off until I absolutely had to take it. I never missed a class. It was funny, entertaining, and I actually learned history. Best of all I passed after failing the course with two other professors. They need to sit in on Mr. Ailanjian's class and learn how to engage their students.

Prof. Ailanjian is the best instructor I have ever had for one simple reason-passion. He is passionate about History. He makes it humorous & brings it alive. I was a business major & changed my major to history because of his class. I want to make a difference & impact my students the way he has made a difference & impacted me.

This class is like watching a stand up comic. Prof. Ailanjian is freaking insane and funny as hell when his jokes bomb. I loved it. I had a great time in a history class and I hate history. Super chill environment.

I took Prof. Ailanjian for Hist 11 & 12. While everyone talks about how funny he is there is you thing even more important. He knows his history. He makes it real because he focuses on social history and how it continues to affect us today. It is the stories about the human condition that makes his class fun and enjoyable.

Great class. Mr. A is hilarious with lots of crazy stories that make the time go by fast.

Mr. Ailanjian, is a great professor he has very nice personality. He helps a lot. This class is very easy. 13 Quizzes, 1 midterm and final. He does offer extra credit for each quiz. If you don't pass his class at least with C it means you are lazy. I definitely recommend him for everyone!

Mr. Alianjian was a wonderful and helpful professor! Make sure to always attend class because its only one day out of the week so you will miss points for quizzes. Highly recommend Mr. A for Hist 11! you'll thank me. He's the Best history teacher.

Professor Ailanjian was awesome. It was the most enjoyable History class I have ever taken. I put taking this class off until the very end because History is boring. Mr. A made it fun, real life, and I wanted to come to class. He loves his subject and it shows in how he respects and treats his students by keeping it real.

Normally I don't write reviews but I had to for professor Ailanjian. Took him over the summer. If you attend his class every day and take notes you will do fine on the quizzes. It is one of the easiest classes I have ever taken.

He is an awesome professor. He only taught night class. He allowed us to use our notes on all quizzes, midterm, and final. Lectures were interesting. He has a great sense of humor. He would show us funny and satirical YouTube videos. Loved this class. Easy A but attendance is mandatory for an "A".

print the power points from blackboard and use them on all your tests. theres a 10 question with 1 question extra credit test every class period. i did not buy the book and passed. however he does let you buy the old version. history is not my subject but i survived his class! he enjoys what he does and thats what makes class worthwhile.

Easy A. All his tests are open notes as long as you go to his class every day & take notes you'll be good. Long lectures because he teaches night class but humerus guy. Throws a lot of jokes that aren't funny but I always cracked a smile either way cuz he tries. Don't need the book at all! No homework no essays! Easiest chill instructor :D

Even though he has long lectures, do not show up late to his class just to take the quiz because he will call you out. Quizzes at the end of every class but it's open notebook. Exams: midterm and final and you get to use your book for both of those exams too! He's an awesome teacher even though his lectures are long and boring. Would recommend!

Great instructor, if I would of known history class would this interesting I wouldent have put it off for years lol. Mr Landon is a great instructor and is really passionate about what he teaches!!

He made class fun and interesting. Great sense of humor which helped in retaining information. Open book and notes can be used for exams. No reason why you can't pass this class! I highly recommended taking this class!

Took for summer 2015 semester; class is really easy his powerpoints gives away all the answers for his test which is 50 questions with 1 being extra credit, the reading for me was optional but it does help you alot on the test, make sure to attend regularly as some test questions comes from his lectures; p.s. test is open note and book.

Very nice and funny guy! Easy A if you attend class and take notes. He gives quizzes each class meeting and lets you keep quiz sheet. Open notes for everything. Show up, take notes, and you'll pass. He'll tell you what's important. Gave extra credit once because not a lot of people showed up so we earned it just for attending.

THis class is easy A. Took it as night class. Lets you use notes and books on test and exams. Gives you quiz in every class on the chapter previous. If your smart you make your own notes and use it on test too. This class is too easy. No reason to not pass.

Seriously one of the best classes at Fresno City. He is hilarious and discusses global political issues in class without giving insight on who he favors. Laid back, lets you eat in class, and is really enjoyable. Use your notes and book (which I never used because he went over everything) and it's almost impossible to not get a B at the least.

Hilarious! He's very clear about what's going to be on the tests, and he doesn't try to trick you or anything like that. All the stuff on the tests are stuff he went over. Really, it's impossible to not pass his class.

Professor Ailanjian by far has been a great instructor. Who would've ever thought history class would've been so interesting. He is very knowledgable and keeps the long lectures interesting. He is super funny as well! Thanks Professor Ailanjian for a great semester!

Took a 4 week summer class with this Instructor. He knows his stuff and is so good at it. Lectures are easy to follow and interesting. He's pretty funny as well. Lots of quizzes with extra credit points, 1 midterm and 1 final. All quizzes and tests are open book and notes. If you pay attention and have your notes, you'll pass the class.

Mr. Ailanjian is an amazing professor who's really passionate about what he teaches and it shows. There's no homework, so your grade is dependent on how well you do on the tests. However the tests are open note / open book. Honestly one of the best professors at city. Pretty easy class and would take again.

Awesome, funny, easy going, zero homework, zero assignments, 2 exams (midterm n final). 100% of the exam answers are from the lectures/notes and he tells you what questions will be on the exam. He makes it easy but you must listen n take good notes.

He understands many of us are not history majors. He wants you to pass.. I tried taking history for 3 semesters, dropped every time because they all were boring or too hard. Finally took his class and he actually helped me be interested in history! He explains everything in a fun way. AWESOME TEACHER

This is a really great professor who know's his history. I took him in the summer and he made my summer super awesome. We had 2 test and no homework. You do need to come to every class and take notes but that's all you need to do. The test are open notes I couldn't have asked for a better summer with Mr. A. TAKE HIM !!!!!

I took this class over the summer (4 week) and it was the easiest class ever. No homework, no paper, just midterm (50%) and final (50%), both MC. Open book / open note tests but I never needed the book. Offers extra credit questions on tests. If you come to lecture he tells you what topics will be on the test. Best history prof out there.

This guy and Rutishauser are the best hands down. This school would be perfect if all instructors were like this.

Took this professor during FALL 2020-Online. Easy history class if you don't like history like me. Most answers can be found online. No homework, just quizzes, 2-3 exams and a final. What a great professor!

Only two exams.10 homework assignments. Can pass but work for it. Super patient and available to students. The course material is not hard unless you make it hard. pay attention to lectures and you will be fine. Exams just like lectures. No study guides.

Easy class, but you should really listen to the lectures if you can. All quizzes/exams are multiple-choice but only about half the questions on them can be found online, so watch his lectures (each lecture is about an hour long). I'm not good at history but it's pretty simple in this class; watch the lecture then take a quiz. I recommend this prof.

10 quizzes 3 exam and is open notes so take notes he does not care for attendance but if you miss one day is like missing a whole quiz and some exam answers you don't need to write out the notes he has a PowerPoint for you to print out and bring to class and listen to him talk this class is not very difficult but you have to try to pass.

Graded by few things, so you want to do your work, but the assignments are very simple. He lectured for 3 hours once a week, which I thought was going to be horrible because of the time, but it honestly wasn't too bad. He is very knowledgeable and doesn't go on too many tangents. He usually posts the power point slides online; take good notes.

Professor Ailanjian keeps every week simple. 1 quiz/exam due by the end of each week. Doesn't get much better than that.

The easiest stress-free class! Listen closely to his PowerPoint lectures and take careful notes. You test every week due by Sunday all semester. That's it! No DB.

Take this course if you want to pass History! Professor Landons class was easy to pass. His course online consists of mini quizzes with about 20 questions from the lecture he uploads each week. If you go through his lectures and take notes the quizzes you will be fine. He does not allow late or missing work make sure you take them before due date!

I loved Professor Ailanjian! His lectures were interesting and informative. You have one quiz a week, a midterm, and final (based on the last half of the course). That's it- no homework or papers. He talks fast so hope you can keep up, lol. Overall I would 100% take him again. Super cool guy, even just online. Some lectures are long but worth it.

he is easygoing quizzes are due every Sunday they are multiple-choice. all answers are in his lecture, just make sure you do your quizzes with no excuses he is not flexible, and he will not allow you to retake if you missed a quiz. But overall I loved his class and wish more professors were like him. workload is manageable one quiz a week.

This class should be an Easy A. I ended up with a C because I missed 3 quizzes because I forgot about them and missed the Deadline. He did not allow me an extension even with a made up excuse. So if you think you can miss the deadline and get an extension think again. Your grade is basically the quizzes so do good on them and you will be fine.

GET HIM NOW!! I'm not a smart student at ALL but somehow I got an A+. Just do the VERY VERY easy short quizzes and you pass. I took him online for the summer and even an elementary kid could do his work. His lessons were fun lol (lessons videos) :)
