He is a good professor. Some students found that his very thick accent makes it hard to understand what he is saying(its not that bad). He fully explains what he is teaching. His class is a little fast and will move on if his lessons are behind schedule.
He is always helpful. his accent is not bad at all. His tests were fair and his grading was extremely detailed and fair. But the amount of homework is incredible. Tons and tons of homework.
He's a awesome teacher and is a very good man. During his office hours he is tries to help anyone to the fullest to they can understand. Even if it's not his office hours, he'll still go out of his way to help you in anyway he can.
Greatprofessor. Lots of homework(good practice)he explains the problems and how to work them very well. Updates students on how they are fairing on in the class with current grade printouts. He simply is the best!
His accent is not bad at all. I never had a problem with it. His tests were not difficult. There was a LOT of homework. He always went out of his way to help, even meeting on Saturdays if you wanted. Very nice guy.
Mr. Ly is a friendly, easy-going, conscientious instructor who works hard to ensure that his students learn. You may have trouble finding a better teacher. That'll be the key.
Mr Ly is a great teacher. He is the best math instructor that I have ever had. I took him for two semesters and did great each time. I really understood the subjects when I was done.
At first, I didn't like him that much. He's a very nice guy though, and he tries to help his students succeed. I slept through the final and he let me make it up. I'm so lucky to have had such an understanding teacher. If you get his class, you won't be sorry.
i have math anxiety, but Mr. Ly is by far the best math professor I have ever had. I'm taking him again for Math 100 this spring semester. He doesnt skip chapters..he starts from the very beginning. He used to be a student at CRC!!
Mr. Ly is the best math instructor I have ever had. He is very helpful and prepares you extremely well for exams. He assigns homework which allows you to gain points and knowledge. He is amazing--he's the only reason I passed math. Without him--I'd be lost.
Very hard to follow his teaching styles. Does not explain well. If u have a question and it is odd number from the book he will not go over it because the answer is in the back of the book.
Great Professor. There is alot of homework, but it gives you all the practice you need to be succesful on his quizzes and tests. Class lectures are very clear and easy to follow. He is very approachable and makes math much less intimidating. Highly recommended.
Professor Ly is really nice and willing to help you. This math class was pretty tough and required a lot of attention, but he is understanding. He doesn't really go over odd numbered problems though and this was frustrating and his accent is a little strong too. All in all, tough subject, nice teacher.
he is very good teacher however has a very stong accent and does not lecture will.....he just says the deffinitions that are already in the text book then he does some problems from the home work and thats it...the rest you got to learn it yourself at home....if you can understand math by reading the text book then take this teacher.
Great teacher!
Great teacher and person. He's extremely helpful, and tries his best to answer any of your questions. Highly recommend.
He graded rather well, but i had to teach myself. he never explained anything really well at all.

fantastic
This guy is the most dedicated teacher I've ever encounter! Focuses on students individually well enough to get you to participate. Really knows his math if you don't have trouble understanding him. Grades pretty fair and allows dropping low test scores. Theres HW EVERYDAY, which is esential to learning math! but little redundant cause too much.
Very, very nice teacher, but I had a hard time understanding his lectures. He went very fast, I'm not sure if it was me but for some reason I couldn't absorb the information he was teaching us. I had to put A LOT OF TIME in this class.
Most dedicated and understanding teacher I’ve seen, always willing to help. He is not a difficult teacher, but he assigns lots of homework, and they are 10% of your grade. He will offer extra credit problems on every exam, and they are fairly easy. The average scores on the exams are usually low A or high B.
If it wasn't for relocation i would still take him. What is the other guy, Pico is horrying teacher. But this one, i don't care how hard he is. I rather be in this class. i've learned valuable information and still remember what he has taught me. I really like his grading scales. vERY precise..
very good and nice teacher...also very, very helpful and take his time to help us...keep it up.
don't take him he doesn't explain the problems good and he'll raise his voice at you if u try to ask him a question in class or he'll get mad. when i took the class there were 41 students and only 8 stayed at the end...THIS EXPLAINS ALOT!!!
He is a very good teacher and teaches very well. He explains a lot of things and he breaks it down for you to understand. He goes over all the work that he puts out for you. Just come to class and you will not struggle in anything.
For some reason, I don't understand anything he teaches. I go home and just read the Pre Calculus book. Then I understand.
Hes a good teacher, better than some math teachers. His lectures center around 2-3 homework problems for each section which helps when doing homework. Overall hes okay, grading is fair, drops low homework scores, gives extra credit. Lots of homework though.
rough english, confusing when teaching shows you the wrong way and corrects if after problem is finished
do not take him!!!! a lot of students already drop his class because he grades really harsh. he really confusing, so i leave in the middle of the class and read the book and try to do homework.
He has rough english, hard to pay attention during class and he gives daily points for attendence so it hurts your grade to not go.He assigns a ton of homework every night,& grades it based on correct answers.picks the hardest question for each problem on the test.Hell teach you the wrong way first during lecture, and goes back to fix.DONT TAKE HIM!!
His lectures are very confusing. He does wastes a lot of time doing the problem wrong, and then goes back after 40 minutes and then corrects it. And to top that you can not understand a single word he is saying. I would avoid him, unless you have the entire solution manual for your book so that you can teach yourself.
Hard to understand the first few lectures but you get used to it. Collects and grades all homework and EVERY homework problem. Tough grader. Turning in hw + doing well in hw + doing well on exams = pass.
Hes okay to me. Rough english so if you did not stay focused you would lose the entire lecture. Homework is optional and for your own's good. 10-point extra credit on the exams often come to the rescue. Fun class. Take him.
He's a really nice teacher even though his accent sometimes gets in the way. He's very helpful if you're willing to ask for help. Participate in class then he'll like you! :)
If you can't get an A in his class.. there is something wrong. Extremely easy, gives very straight forward exams with 10 points extra credit. Out of 25 students 15 had A in calculus 3 class. Explains the stuff clearly and very helpful..
Terrible teacher. Hard to understand. I went to office hours and he claimed he had a class and could not help. 10 minutes later saw him in Math lab talking to another teacher. Why be a teacher if you dont want to help your students?
omg hes so horrible. i dont recommend him to anyone. his lectures are sooooooooo boring. he butchers your name so many times even after the end of semester! and he gives 2 tests and 3 quizzes a month along with daily hmw. i still passed but it was a horrible experience.
He has a heavy accent which might get in the way of understanding the subject. But if you do the homework(which he gives a lot of!) you'll definitely have a better handle on it. He runs through his materials quite fast. You will definitely need to spend the recommended "2hours for every hour" outside studying to pass his class.
He doesn't explain well or do whats in book. He is very hard to understand.
He's not an easy teacher but he is managable if you put forth the effort. One thing to keep in mind is that he doesn't offer much help after class so if you are one who needs one-on-one assistance try to avoid his class. He also has a thick accent and if you have trouble with understanding people with accents don't take him.
kind of hard to understand his lectures, but he makes up for it with super easy exams and quizzes. all you need to get an A in this class is contained in the book. Do examples and homework problems and the exams should not be any surprise. Easy A.
he is a good teacher, but he gives you alot of Homework. I literally spend over 400 hrs in the Math Lab. but his test are related to the Homework..also has an accent
Prof ly is very helpful, and very nice teacher. He makes sure everyone understand before he continue to the next level... just make sure pay attention and make some notes and you will be fine.
He makes you work hard but you'll become a math whiz
This teacher grades really easy, but you learn next to nothing from his lectures. If I had any other teacher I feel that I would fail the exams (though I might learn), but I get an A without trying. He spends most time just reading from the book. It's boring, he's difficult to understand, his test smell like smoke. I would never take him again.
He's an okay professor. Assigns tons of hw and does grade them, so be prepare! Quizzes and exams are fair, he does a review before each. He does try to clarify any Qs. I personally think there's better math professor out there so unless you're really good in math, go for it but if not, take a diff. professor. Semester ended w/less than half of pple
If you're not great in Math and it's not your thing.DO NOT take him. When you ask for help he will tell you to look at your notes and claims the book won't help you, but he is the one that told us which book to get. He gets frustrated if you don't understand & says things should be common sense. Do not take him if you have difficulty in Math.
If you are good at math his class is easy I did all the hw ahead of time and slept in his class. But its really hard to learn from him. Its very hard to understand him most of the time.
I enjoyed his class and he explained things very well. He does have an accent but I got use to it very quickly. He's not that hard to understand at all and if you ask him he will write definitions and procedures on the board so that I am sure that I understand everything that he is teaching. I would definalely take one of his classes again.
he doesn't speak English very well and some may find that he works pretty fast but i liked his class and i understood almost all what we had covered. There is only one thing if you still have problems with something from your previous class, he is not going to come back just for you.
Lap Ly was one of the hardest teachers Ive ever took you will really have to work for your grade. The Test are fair but tough.HW was pretty hard too,but however he wants you to pass. He's a very generous man and he will give you plenty of extra credit.
He doesn't answer all the home work questions and he really does not know how to give notes they are not organized at all. His voice is monotoned and he has a strong asian accent. He is really dry and boring. Most of the time I have to figure out how to do the problems my self because his notes are that bad. Don't Take him!
It was a pretty difficult class because many topics were unclear.
He contradicts himself a lot and a lot of times, students corrected him during lecture. He does not understand calculus II at all. Solutions manual will be your best friend.
great teacher...not too easy but several quizzes and exams + extra credit will help us improve our grades.
Ly does have an accent, and sometimes it may be unclear to understand what he is saying. He makes his quizzes very comprehensive, including the concepts he explains during lectures. DE is a very complex course, and Ly did a pretty well job, although he did make several mistakes, teaching the subject. I would recommend Ly for Differential Equations.
Absolutely HORRIBLE! he never answered questions on the homework all the way through. He assigned too much homework and graded every hw assignment in a stringent manner, deducted points for everything! His accent made it hard to comprehend what he was saying sometimes along with bad grammar and spelling on tests. AVOID HIM!
Lots of Homwork and not enough time for tests
Professor is great. Spend 5-8 hrs a week studying/doing HW and you'll pass w/ an A or B. If you completely suck at math like me, then 8-13 hours a week study. Lots of HW but it prepares for quiz/tests. Tests are made of moderate HW problems. From observations, ppl juggling between job and school may have a difficulty w/ this class. Learned a lot!
Professor Ly does not teach this class with a textbook, he passes out lecture notes, which is essentially all you need for this class. The homework has good examples. I don't understand why pre-calculus is required, pre-calculus is basically a review of this class. If you take this class, and get an A, you'll definitely be prepared for Calculus
His exams and quizzes are moderate. Some questions will be hard but rest are ok if u study before the exam. I hated that i was just off by 5 points to get B and yet he didnt bump me up..but ohh well...LOTS OF HW so take out alot of time to study and do them.
He has a very heavy accent. Plus, he did not use a textbook, so I transferred into another section with a different professor.
He has a very thick accent and has bad handwriting. He does not explain stuff very well or finish the homework problems when trying to explain it. DO NOT TAKE
Really hard to understand. I had passed trig and pre cal before but couldn't do his class. He is way to hard of a grader, I got failing scores for right answers and good work because I didn't answer the problems his way.
Don't Take This Teacher! I should have seen many red flags! 1 He writes his own book 2 Answers are wrong so you will waste time trying to get the answer he gives 3 His test questions use only 2 or 3 of the easy topics from the chapters and the rest are the very difficult ones. 4 I was in math lab every week to try and understand what he taught.
VERY BAD ACCENT. SOOOOO MUCH HOMEWORK..literally 5-8 hours a week. He's nice I'll give him that. Not helpful at all however, does not explain things clearly. I took him for Math 120 ended up dropping it cuz I was failing then I retook the assessment test and got into Math 300
Had to take the community college route because freshman priority doesn't cut slack at Sac State. HARDEST MATH CLASS OF MY LIFE (even doing really well in Calc 1-3). Literally impossible and 3 page long problems (often picks the hard long ones). Hw not required. In this class, a dumb mistake at the beginning of a problem goes a long way...
Just plain horrible. Doesn't finish his sentences when speaking. He repeatedly needs to clear his throat every 3 words in a sentence and next to impossible to understand. When writing on the board, he jumps around on multiple parts of the board, making it difficult to follow along. He writes middle, then left, then right on the board.
TI-89 allowed on all tests/quizzes. Quizzes are 20% of grade, tests are 45%, and final exam is 35%. You can get up to 110% on tests if you do the extra credit. Quizzes/tests straightforward. He will tell you everything that will be on them beforehand. If you're "good" at math, this is an easy A.
Prof Ly is a really good teacher. He doesn't teach exactly from the book but, if you didn't understand what he taught then you can always refer back to the book. Be prepared to do tons of hw. And to learn math, practice is what makes perfect. You can't learn math overnight so it's good that he assigns a lot of homework.
he s a very good teacher.
This teacher can lecture that good and has a strong accent. However, he grades really easy and 90 percent of the credit just for setting up the problem the right way. If You know your stuff take him and guarantee A for Cal 1,2,3 and DE
Mr.Ly wants students who work extra hard. He is a hardworking man himself, he is a good guy if you get to know him. He gives a lot of hw especially in the summer. I believe if you can handle his class, you can handle the higher level classes. He knows who are the hardworking students in his class.*most of his questions on the exams are from the hw*
As a student it's your duty to get help when needed. Professor Ly is a great professor IF you utilize him correctly. He's tough, but it only means he wants the best from his students. He gives you the tools and he expects you to hone your skills with them. Math is not an overnight thing. Pay attention in class and you should be fine.
He's a nice teacher, but his accent makes it hard to understand him, he flys over the material, i tried multiple times to get extra credit, i studied and still failed his tests, he makes them to hard. he doesn't really help you if your not understanding. he speeds over lectures and instate very clear on steps. but he's a nice guy.
The accent takes a bit getting used to. Tests are based on the hw.
Once you get him to say "I don't know" with his little half smirk you will forget everything you thought of him and love him forever. You'll see. But he was a hard homework grader, and tests are stressful.
Be prepared for hard work and little to no help. Zooms through material, with two to three sections per class sessions, at least two hours of homework after every session and good luck getting help. Office hours are a no go if you have back to back classes, and test will rake you over the coals. Better off finding another class section.
he is a good professor! just go to every class, do your homework and you should be fine! he gives a break during his 2 hour classes. he does go through stuff pretty quick but just follow along and take notes, be an active student and you'll be okay.
I love math don't get me wrong but once I got lost and wanted help all he told me is read your notes. Hello, I am asking you for help I obviously don't have it in my notes.
His tests are not too hard if you study. He won't ask questions he didn't teach, but he is the toughest grader I have encountered thus far in a math class; I cannot emphasize that enough. He will literally take off a point if you solve a problem and put y equals instead of f(x). Lots of homework. Tests are very long, so you need to pace yourself.
With English not being his first language, he can be very hard to understand. There is so much homework. Too much homework. Take a test, you still have homework to do before and after. Long weekend? Even more homework. He has limited office hours. If you get in, his one on one time is easier to understand it all.
I must start off by saying that this is one of the worst professors I've ever had. he tends to present vital information in seemingly the most convoluted way possible, his tests are extremely unfair, he will pick the hardest and most complicated problems from a section and then force you to solve them without using a calculator.
Very hard to understand because he speaks very broken English. No grace if you're sick. Very stubborn. Hours of homework every single night. Don't understand his grading method. Easy class yet getting a C just because of his grading style.
Although he is hard to understand if u go to class, actually listen, take notes and do the homework you will do good in the class. If your one of the people who only go to class for the test this is not the class for you.
Strong accent strong so pay attention, better know your past classes. Tends to tell you to review and go back to your past notes in other classes. monotone type so try to stay awake. I wouldn't take him if i have better options. Good luck He wrote his own book and had my class as a guinea pig. so many typos in his book we got MORE lost
He wrote his own book, which tells you that he knows his stuff. you miss a day of lecture? your doomed. Since he goes thru literally 2 sections a day, which means a lot of hw. If he didnt finish a section, he would run thru it in the last 5 minutes of class and expect you to finish the 20-35 questions on the hw. furthermore the hw takes about 2-3hr
Tough professor!!! I thought I would be able to take his Math120 class, but it was so difficult!! His exams are long and he doesn't really go over his material. Expect alot of homework too!!!
Professor Ly is extremely helpful and very clear. He cares about his student's grades and he always gives extra credit on exams. He goes over every question students have on the homework which is extremely helpful. It all depends on the student. If you show up to class everyday and you try, you will probably pass.
Lap Ly teaches you various aproches on how to solve problems. He takes the time to grade your work which can be helpful. The major problem with his class is the immense difficulty. If you get a C on the homework you fail the exams. Independent study is required In addition to boring yet thorough lectures.
Tough grader!!! and hard to understand because of his strong assent. Also he gives 1-2 lectures together and because of that you get lot of hw that takes 2-3 hrs or less if you understand the section in class.
Worse professor ever! Gives so much homework and lectures a lot! He is a hard grader on quizzes and exams! Does not explain the lesson good. Do not take!
I really appreciated Professor Ly's class. He is a good teacher and makes you work for your grade by giving a lot of homework each night, but this actually really helped me understand algebra even better. In addition, he is very approachable, he drops 5 lowest Homeworks, 1 lowest quiz, and will accept homework put underneath his door after class.
He does not explain things at all, and just does examples from the book.
He is not clear at all. When it comes to notes in class he is super messy with it(he writes all over the place and only does examples from textbook). His tests are super hard because it is nothing like what he teaches in class. It's like ten times harder. He gives a lot of homework and his grading comments are "look at lecture notes."
His class is very easy. He goes through lectures really slow so its easy to keep up if you're a slow student but its painfully annoying if you aren't. He allows you to turn in late work to his office. Tests and quizzes are basically the same as homework. He tends to split chapters though which gets slightly irritating. All in all, its an easy A.
Gives alot of homework from 2 chapters it all depends how far he gets in his lectures. He grades though make sure to go toturing to get a better understanding in his class
I took his math 100 class i flunked his class, whenever we get quizes and testes he tell us look at notes even thoylugh its 10 times harder then the homework
Pay close attention to lectures and take good notes and youll make your life much easier. Hes precise when it comes to grading and what you go over in class is on the test and quizzes, maybe one question would be a slightly more advanced application. I really enjoyed the class even though my grade wasnt amazing
Professor Ly is a great teacher, may give a lot of homework but they really do help. It may seem tough at first but stick through it because you'll really see that he offers you more help than other teachers do, will go over questions you have on homework, doesn't matter what answers you get as long as you got the process down you'll get points.
His teaching was a little confusing at first but with time I understood better. Does have an accent so that can affect ones understanding. You'll fail class if you don't do work. GO TO CLASS OR HE WILL DROP YOU 100%! Good personality & is willing to help at all time. Give him a chance before you put him aside.
Heavy accent but great teacher and is very understanding.
Do yourself a favor and don't take this guy, tough grader and never there to help students. total waste of time. ended up dropping the class.
Do not take this guy. The professor is great when he goes over hw problem if you are stuck with it and also he gives out the key to the exams and quizzes after he has graded them. Things that are bad about this professor is he gives out tons of hw. At most 2 chapters a night. Takes me 4-6 hrs to complete. Exams and quizzes are really difficult.
basically whatever is written in the textbook. he writes the notes down on the board and goes through them thoroughly. very slow sometimes. his accent is a little difficult to understand but that isnt that much of a problem when he writes out how you actually solve problems. lots of long long homework, can turn in late work by sliding under his door
Has a strong accent and can be hard to understand. Gives out too much homework and will grade it very harshly. Will give quizzes at end of class, so if you don't understand the lecture you'll fail the quiz. Everything is from the book and you won't even use the online portion that comes with it. Would not take again or recommend.
I had the pleasure of taking professor Lap Ly in the spring of 2018. It was a hard class as it has been 10 years since I have taken a math class, but he was excellent. He is accessible if you need help. He goes step by step. He remembers your name and although he has an accent that doesn't prevent him from being an outstanding professor.
Great teacher, really wants you to pass. will go over homework questions at the beginning of class. Thick accent but he writes everything on the board.
I used to suck at math so much back in highschool, but it everything changed once I took this Professor. He really wants you to pass and gives you a lot of homework because he wants you to be successful. Thanks to him I am done with my mechanical engineering degree. I never knew my full potential until I took Lap Ly. Thank you Professor
Honestly he really isnt the best teacher. When he is lecturing and we are taking notes he doesnt fully finish the problem, often times leaving the majority of the class with many questions that he wont answer. Finishing the steps of how to do the problem is really essential to learning the material. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROF, PLS DONT
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. Its a nightmare. He grades every homework assignment, hes kinda rude, and class runs over almost every day. Im an average math student, not great, but not horrible, and this guys class has been so frustrating. The only saving grace is that he allows notes on quizzes and tests. But dont let that encourage you to take him.
Professor Lap Ly goes really fast. He rarely review curriculum that comes from earlier math classes. For someone like me who skipped a year of math it was really difficult to continue. He often says This is review from Math 100 or You can finish this is 5 seconds which stressed me out and gave me anxiety. Homework is very heavy, due every day.
Homework is good but getting 30 to 40 questions at the end of the class, which is due on the following class day, its way too much, depending on your situation. This is a first professor, who gives lots of homework and the sad part is, he does go through your problem but he has a limit. Understanding is very important.
He Assigns so much Homework, Every day one or more assignments, Not very good at explaining he just kind of bulldozes through the information, and you are left to figure it out. Sometimes will assign a long problem and you will only have 5-10 minutes to submit it which is incredibly stressful. Finally, he grades in massive bursts.
Not only he does a lot of heavy lectures, he is not very good at it. Honestly i find it a waste of time going to his class when i can learn a lot better on youtube. With Covid, everything is online. But this professor doesn't respond to emails so communicating with him is impossible, which makes it very hard to catch up with my materials.
I took this professor online due to Covid and I did not find him helpful at all. All of his notes are already written down, so all he does is point to things that he already did. He's a really tough grader, one of our exams the average was 40/100 and he didn't say anything about it. Says you just need to review rather than teaching.
Don't take this class!!! In simple terms, gives too much hw, does too many lectures that are lengthy, for me personally he doesn't give a lot of time for hw, quizzes and exams. My other professors know that these times are hard and give us more time but not this teacher. PLEASE don't take this class if you get stressed out easily.
I think professor Ly is a great professor. He explains material good abs he cares about his students. If you ask questions, he will help you. Take this one
Professor Ly wants you to do good in his class. He would go an extra credit to help you to pass his class. Please take him and you wont be sorry.
Ly is a great Professor. In a large lecture class, he still cares about your personal success. Lectures are painless and the content is presented well. Take him if you want to pass Math 333 or Stat300.
I took math300 and my brother took Stat300 with this professor. It was a very good experience. The lectures were great, and the tests weren't difficult. This professor will do whatever it takes to help you to pass the class.
Ly is a nice professor but his teaching is very difficult. The lessons are packets of notes and the lectures would be him going over the packet. He moves on with the lecture pretty fast so it makes it harder if the subject is something that is complex. If you want to pass, you have to fully dedicate yourself to learning the material on your own.
I dropped this class after the second week. I do not recommend this professor. He did not accept late work, and did not respond to any emails.
Professor goes through lessons too fast. Assigns way too much homework and is a tough grader. Had to drop the class because of the amount of homework he gives and his lectures were not clear.
barely helps when you ask, idk why. has very limited time for tests, is a really tough grader, i stg. and I cannot make this up.. he started teaching us egyptian hieroglyphs. Ive got a really bad grade in the class and if you fall behind atleast 1 week you are screwed for the rest of the semester. tldr: do not take this class.
This professor will do whatever it takes to help you to pass the class. I would recommend to take any class with this professor!
He was a very kind man but he was way too quick with everything. He also did a lot of the problems wrong, leaving his students failing the homework because he had the right answer in his book but gave the wrong formula. Awful experience do not take him he doesn't help and blames the students for everything. He would get a problem wrong and deny it.
Love this professor! I really learned in his class. I had bad professors before and really appreciated his teaching. I am planning on taking the next math class with him, for sure
Everyday is a new lesson, even on days with tests and exams. After tests he will introduce a new lesson. Even with learning a new lesson every day, we are a few lessons behind. The average on tests over the semester has been around a C or D with half the class giving up and have already dropped the class. We have an exam a few days before final.
Love this professor! I learned a lot and passed with an A.
Great Professor! Math is my worst subject but he makes it really easy to understand! I took other math classes with him and passed with an A. He cares about you passing the class,
Prof. Ly is just amazing. He explains everything is details. He is particularly good for those who are not good at math. You will learn a lot by attending his lectures. I will take him again for Stat 300 this semester
I took two classes with this professor and passed with an A. I am really bad at math, but did really well in his class. Take him, he is the best!
Professor Ly has a unique teaching style, but if you engage with it, the class can be very rewarding. The lectures are worth attending, and using unstuck ai alongside the free textbook really helped me stay on top of the material.
Whoever gonna take this class, just let y'all know that he gives lots of HW, goes too fast with the lectures, and HW every day even on the weekend or on a break, also the worst thing is that he doesn't give you enough times for the HW, quiz, or exam and no late materials. Taking this class, you will not give help with anyone even the Math Center.
When I was out sick, he didn't respond any emails to me at all. Too much hw and too much time to solve the problems to get the real answer. He gives confusing homework questions and no late turn ins. Babylonian numerals were so confusing and I had some classmates who were had a hard time too. My experience was stressful and awful.
I took this class for calculus (business and economics). He moved extremely fast and assigns a lot of homework. If you plan on taking him for calculus, make sure you have a solid foundation of math before taking the class. Part of it was my negligence, but he moves very fast. Thank you.
Very kind man. Attendance is a must. There are lectures everyday even after tests and quizzes. Homework will be assigned everyday but he will allow extra time for homework that would be due on test days. Is hard to reach through email but if you speak to him in person he is willing to accommodate. Attend class and do homework you will be just fine
I got baited, don't trust the good reviews. If you have other classes or a job or kids to take care of DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS, the homework takes a full day to do. He assigns too many problems half of which he hasn't taught us. No cheat sheets were allowed till the end of semester.
rushed lectures, barely explains anything. exams are super hard & only 1 hr long. no makeups, tons of hw, barely time to learn. doesn't help when u struggle, just says redo it. notes don't help on exams. math is way too complex for how he teaches. stressful class & not beginner friendly.
He knows what he is talking about, but he isn't very good at teaching it.
Does his best to explain the material. You might get lost if you do not listen closely to what he is trying to say. He is a tough grader. Take this professor if you have a great attention span.
