Young, hot and will sometimes let you out early! Teaching wise, she is always staying after class to help whoever needs it and will help you through email too. Definitely recommended, but make sure to do the work

Great teacher!!She tries and picks topics/material to talk about in class that she thinks the class will get into. The class material is sometimes hard, but she makes you want to keep studying and keep learning. Very encouraging and helpful. But make sure you do your work, otherwise she won't put up with you. Great experience!!!

This class is not hard. All you do is write essays, if you have a hard time putting an essay together, she will help you until it's second nature to you. She is the best teacher to take english with. You will have to work hard to get an A in this class. She is a fair grader, meaning that an A would be a very good paper and a b a good paper and son on. Pretty chill some days left only thirty minutes in the class. To me she is a good teacher not a very good one though.

Awesome, she was fantastic. You to be in her class. At 101 level she expects you to already be able to write an essay, this is college english, not high school. So if you have problems writing, take someone else, she is not here to teach you writing skills, thats what high school is for. If you are to the 101 level, take her, she is great.

I love this teacher. She has been by far the best professor I ever have had. She has a great personality, and is always there for her studented to help them if problems occur. Mrs. Kartalian is extremely helpful in terms of guiding you through correctly writing and citing a paper. Took her during winter which was HARDER, yet her good nature and attitude made the class bearable. hahaha claims to have NO SOUL yet she contradicts herself because she is CARING! :D loved her class.. extremely fair in grading! highly recommend

Professor Kartalian was by far the best English professor, she is always there to help you out. She will read your essay while youre working on it and if you have any mistakes she tells you to change them right away. If you take her you wont regret it, plus she is very cool teacher.

Best English teacher I ever had in my entire life. She is very helpful and nice. The work in the class is really easy. Listen to do teacher and complete all the assignments. I did all my homework and assignments, and probably got 100% at the end of the semester. Take this class and you will pass.

Before taking her class, I heard that she is the best English teacher in GCC. And now I can say it for sure. In order to get an A, you have to work hard and do all assignments, but that's is the point of attending a college.

Take her ! She is nice and she explains the work very good. You won't struggle in this class but, if you do you can always ask and she'll help. Throughout the semester there are journals, attending workshops and the essays that are given if you do them all there is no way you can't pass this class.

Mrs. K is an amazing professor. I'm in her 191 class right now and I love it. She is extremely clear about what we're doing and gives feedback on the spot. She respects our opinion and she's also funny which is nice. :D If you are focused, come to class, pay attention and do the work, there isn't any way you won't pass. I highly recommend her!!!

She's awesome. She really helped me improve my writing. She's smart, patient, and just overall great. She expects you to work hard (it's college!) but really accommodated our lives and other classes. I'm an athlete with games and practices and she always helped me stay on track. I have not one negative thing to say. I really wish she taught 120.

Fall is about to end and I'm literally depressed that professor Kartalian will not be my professor anymore. I have learned more from her in one semester than in all my years of schooling combined. She is the perfect balance of smart, caring, patient, funny, strict and is an overall excellent teacher. You'll be very, very lucky to take her class.

Prof K is the best! In high school I just wrote whatever the teacher wanted to hear. My favorite part of her class was the discussions about the articles. She would let us argue all the different sides and encouraged us to think for ourselves. She always supported our opinions. It was so fun. She gave me so much confidence. I'll never forget her!

I took Professor Kartalian for English 101 in Spring 2020 and she is amazing. On the first day when reading the syllabus the class seems super overwhelming because there are so many papers, but she helps you through every single thing and even designates class time to just work on assignments. She is so caring and I am taking her 104 class in Fall!

Professor Kartalian was an amazing ENG 104 professor! I took her class remotely in the fall and she helped all of her students with any questions they had on assignments. There were many essays to write, but she went through the directions for each one and gave plenty of time to complete them.

I took Professor Kartalian's English 104 class in the fall (remote) and it was extremely easy. There was a point in November where it became quite overwhelming because we had to do multiple, time consuming tasks at once, however the class was overall very doable. She's super understanding and postpones deadlines when necessary; highly recommend.

I took this class for the Fall semester and now, I can say that Professor Kartalian's class is very interesting. She gives 3 important essays to write and it is being graded in very clear criteria. Quizzes have 2 attempts, they are without a time limit. Books are very interesting, essays are about those books. If you work hard, you will get an A!

I took her for my spring semester 2022, she was amazing and taught me a lot. Yes, you have to read and put in the work. Just do the work and you will pass. Great professor. Yes, we had the mandatory papers that ENG104 requires, but it was not hard to write due to discussions and preparations during the class that pertain to the topic of the papers. If you are present during the class then it is not a difficult class just time-consuming when it comes to actually building and putting together papers.

Professor Kartalian is incredible! She gives around a month to do each essay and automatically gives a 2 day grace period to turn things in without deducting points. She cares so much for her students and is extremely understanding of students with learning disabilities. I would definitely take her class!

If you do take her, she requires you to come to class and do your hw (theres a good chunk of hw). If you do both you will get an A in the class.

Kindest English professor ever. I loved everything about this class. Her directions are long, but very detailed. She tells you exactly what she's looking for in the papers and is very clear. I never had many questions. Grades nicely, topics are fun, and AI papers are given a 2nd chance to be rewritten and regarded. Don't use AI. This is college.

So sweet and genuine. I had to retake 101 & 104 because my previous professors were very off putting and lacked decent teaching abilities, but she was much better. She makes me proud to be Armenian and even inspires me to maybe become a professor too. Wish her all the success and happiness. Take her class, I don't think there's a better alternative

I'll put it to you this way. When the fires broke out, I checked on my parents first, her second (Pronto) and my other family/friends third. She not only responded immediately while evacuating but remembered to ask about my pets & my dad (in a wheelchair). 3 years later & she still remembered the things that mattered to me most. Very chill English professor. I took her online class, and it was not draining or heavy. You'll write a couple of essays and a research paper at the end of the semester. Don't rely too much on AI, use your own thinking, and definitely take her class.

I honestly have no idea how anyone has given Prof K a rating below 5. Everyone I know who has taken her has had the best experience with her. She is very patient, kind, and is willing to work with you to improve your work until it is the best it can be. It's not a hard class to get an A in either. You literally just have to put in effort.

Sorry but anyone giving her a low rating basically doesn't want to put in the effort to write for a comp class. She gives you countless ways to get an A, allowing multiple rewrites & Extra Credit. She literally just asks you to get a passing score on the work (which isn't hard to begin with) & will offer every way to help.I recommend her 1000%.
