She knows what she is talking about with the subject matter and explains it well to the class. The assignments are a good mixture of films, papers and tests. Good sense of humor also.

easy class. Concepts are simple and easy to retain. stay awake in class and skim the reading and you have a garunteed A. the class almost feels like being back in highschool. recomended if you need that A and are willing to work a little bit for it.

She is a very nice teacher and it is an easy class as long as you read everything she tells you to and pay attention to the films. Take notes because last time for the final she let us use our notes on it and it really helped plus she gave us the option to do easy extra credit

Professor Broyles is an amazing professor. Her lectures are clear and informative, and if you're ever confused about something, she bends over backwards to make sure that you get whatever help you need.

Amazing teacher.This class is really interesting and she makes it more entertaining. She puts the show Taboo to further her teaching methods. Also the greatest part is she lets you use index cards for your test. Even the final!! she is an easy grader and just do the study guide and put them on the index cards and BAM an easy A.

Professor Broyles is AWESOME !! I'm taking her for summer semester and it's is pretty easy. LOTS of reading and memorizing, but she's sooo nice and helpful and it's clear that she has a passions for the subject

Dr. Broyles is one of the best Professors MVC has to offer. She is more than willing to work with your schedule as well. I will say her tests were not what I expected, though I got an A anyway. Her tests make you think, so it's important to comprehend what you read. She is informative and all the lectures are interesting.

Amazing teacher! I had her for ANT 1 & 2. Very helpful. She lets you use index card notes for all tests. She Makes the material in class so interesting and fun, the only negative is she is always cancelling class and always late, so always check your email the night before class

I took ANT 1, 2, and 4 with her and loved them. The classes do have a lot of reading. Her lectures cover pretty much everything on the tests (so take good notes) which are multiple choice. She doesn't give you trick questions and really cares about her students and is passionate about the subject.

Great teacher and I enjoyed her class even though it's not my major. Watch the films (usually online too), read the book, write weekly reports (incorporate personal stories to the reading topic and it will be easy), and fair multiple choice tests. ***Use flash cards to take notes from day one. Flash cards are allowed on the exams.***

Professor Broyles is long winded and I didn't care for that but other then that she's fair and gives you all the tools to succed in her class. She hands you a study guide. I used it to make my note cards for the exams and would read the sections specified. Pass the class with an A.

She's amazing. Passion, patience, enthusiasm, humor, and wit. She answers e-mails and questions (even dumb ones that she clearly explained 2 seconds before, no offense to the 2 blondes in the front row of ANT 1). Read the books, do the reports(which are just reflections of what you read), go to class, watch the videos and you will do fine. A+++++

She is a very good teacher. It is very clear that she is very enthusiastic about the class, and loves what she does. She does share a lot of her personal experiences. She is a very good professor. The class itself is better than what I had expected, but unless you choose to take the class out of genuine interest, it is very is to lose interest.

I LOVE her! By far the best teacher I've had. She is beyond kind, helpful, and wants you to pass with an A. As long as you do the work and make notecards for tests, you'll pass no problem. The only time I used the book was for notecards though; the rest of the information you can get during lectures.

Really fun professor! Told a lot of stories that made it interesting. Gives you extra points for trying hard. Also showed some movie clips in class. She allows you to bring as many flash cards as you want on tests and final. One thing is she was frequently 5-15 mins late to class. Even for the final exam. But the flash cards made up for it.

Very sweet teacher, who makes it easy for any student to get an A! Easy study guides, notecards allowed on tests, and extra credit offered. In my opinion, a bit TOO easy. She doesn't require a high amount of commitment from her students to receive an A. While that is a selling point for many students, I'm left wanting for more stimulation.

This professor is amazing!! She is very knowledgeable & involved in the Native American community, so has really interesting lectures. She cares about her students & is very accessible for any help or accommodations that you need. There is work, but not overwhelming, & she reviews all the material that will be on the tests. I will take her again!!!

This class is easy to pass, just do the assignments! If you participate in class and do your assignments, the tests (I believe there were only 3) are fairly straight forward and easy. She's really passionate about anthropology, and Native American studies. I would definitely take one of her classes again.

Professor Broyles is very transparent with her expectations and grading, you will never be left wondering where you stand or what you need to do. She was able to make a class I thought would be boring and make me love it and crave more.

I'm taking Broyles online for ANT-1 and she is A DREAM! Only one assignment per week and she gives study guides for exams and the quizzes are only 10 questions. She's so sweet and caring, she updates when there's anything new or any assignments due and her syllabus is great!

This teacher is by far the best teacher I have taken for an online course. Her experience is incorporated into the class and I think she really bases the work off of our take on our experience. As long as you go through the powerpoints and watch any videos she has given, along with giving your opinion there should be no reason why you don't pass.

I took her class Fall 2017 and she was very nice, cared about her students, and really wanted to get to know everyone individually. Her lectures were a great mix of reading material, educational videos, and personal experiences. The tests were very straightforward and based a lot on lectures. I would highly recommend her class!

I have taken two of her classes. Physical and Cultural Anthropology, both online. Very organized and easy to get to assignments. Everything is clear and up front. Do the work and you'll pass.

Her material makes you think, her feedback is encouraging and her grading policy is more than fair. Finally, she doesn't require that you buy an expensive text book... What more could you want?

I LOVED this professor! Anthropology was one of the last classes that I needed for graduation. The class was already closed/full but she let me enroll anyways and I don't regret it. I've never learned so much in a class and she lets you take a midterm twice with open notes! The re-take midterm are the same questions. A gem!

Professor Broyles is amazing! I took ANT2 online WIN2020 course and it was very enjoyable. She doesnt give a completely stressful amount of work. Her tests are based on the readings and videos assigned and not too hard. If you put in the effort and do your work and tests on time you can easily earn an A! Professor Broyles is very helpful and inspired many of his students and if you do well on the DB she will give extra points for your hard work. Beware of the midterm and final exams have 75 questions which can be a lot difficult but do your best as you can. I learn a lot about Anthropology and human evolution also she provides free textbook to you.

Broyles is a great professor to have. She gives an average amount of work and her exams can usually be found on quizlet. However, film assignments are not easy and you cannot always google it. They are hours long and time consuming. If you take notes on the lecture (no need for a book honestly) you should be okay!

There are two midterms and a final, but she provides the study guides you need to succeed in the tests. She is flexible with late work.

Professor Broyles was honestly a great teacher. The work is not to heavy and you still learn a lot from her, respond to more classmates and really try on discussion posts and she gives you more credit! She takes all late work on everything but discussion posts. You can tell some of her stuff is reused from past classes, but it didn't affect me.

This class was pretty easy. The assignments are easy enough to do in one sitting. She also offers extra credit and gives you extra points on some assignments. The only problem I have is that she takes a long time to put in the grades. This is a low-maintenance class, and the assignments are due 2 weeks after it was assigned.
