HOT! LOVE THE ACCENT!
We asked her a question, but she told us it wasnèt even a purpose. So we had to hypothesis the general manager of zellers. Still, it was like the rain.
SHE CAN"T SPEAK ENGLISH!!!!! AND WHEN ASKED A QUESTION SHE'D SAY "READ DE BOOK".....NEVER WILL I RECOMMEND THIS TEACHER
NEEDS ESL CLASSES, DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO TEACH AND IS EXTREMELY HOT...
She has difficulty being clear. Is easily intimidated by her students.
I don't think her english is as bad as some who've posted, and don't confuse a teacher's inability to teach with a student's unwillingness to learn. Any fool can be a student, not everyone can teach. You'd have no problems with her if you'd do your work.
As for the english it looks like most of your english needs work. Everyone has an accent so get over it. She is very helpful, and willing to help those students who actually do their work.
All her test questions are from the text book review problems. She usually just modify those question a bit and put them on the test. She is very helpful during office hours..
Honestly i don't know why seneac is letting her teach, a horriable teacher, if you pass her class well good luck, i think the college should kick her out she can not teach at all. Please God have some mercy on the future students
God, she was a nightmare, dude's anyone taking her class can consider themselves failed. You need a miracle to pass her class cause no matter how hard you study for her test she ends up making a test 10times harder.
She sucks. She doesnt know English. She doesnt know how to teach, either. She should go back to ESL to learn how to teach and English.
My first time taking DGS, The test are not very hard, the BIG PROBLEM is to understand the subject. Having her as a teacher you may as well stay home and read the book for yourself, and come whenever there is a test. She is NOT RECOMENDABLE.
Honestly, first thing you should do when you see her name as a teacher on your timetable, you must drop teh course or just fail the course.I havnt understand a word of what she taught us because of her english,accent and her voice.

This Lady is a university level teacher and I give here the highest mark. She can be brief at times but over all she is very well capable of teaching her student.

this is not a simple class to begin with and there is a lot of material in it. She did a great job at teaching it. it used to be 2 semesters long and now it is only one. Of course it gets hectic. WIsh I had her for 355.

With this professor, you have to work VERY hard. I am serious, read the chapter before you even go to her class. She only likes students who work hard, do hw and ask questions. I failed her class because I didn't do those. Each one of her quizzes is like exam long but mostly from hw and notes.

Very good teacher. I don't know why these other losers are claiming that she's not a good teacher. Maybe cause they failed her class due to stupidity and idiocy. You can tell by all the grammar and spelling mistakes from their comments. I would highly recommend you take any of her classes if you actually wanted to learn something.
Very smart and knowledgble professor. She is the only one who can really help with VHDL labs. If you want to learn take her class. No easy marks, all marks are well deserved. Very fair and helpfull

SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER IN SENECA AND I'M SERIOUS, I WISH SHE TEACHES OTHER SUBJECTS TOO, BECAUSE SHE MAKES YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORK SO EVEN IF THE TESTS ARE HARD IT WILL SEEM EASY BECAUSE YOU KNOW THE STUFF, ALSO SHE IS A VERY CARING TEACHER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK IN TEACHING.
This teacher knows her stuff but hard to understand. There's only one way to get an "A" which I did, and that is to study by yourself. Overall I would take her again in DGS 355 because she's an easy teacher.

The hardest teacher in Seneca College. She has the highest failing rate and tries to pass a few at the end to look like a good teacher. Beware!!
Writes too small on the board, speaks too soft with strong accent, two-second overheads, VERY HARD MARKER, notes are pretty much useless...The only way to succeed in this course is to buy the textbook and study yourself every night because the quizzes and tests are from the textbook...Good luck! =)
i think she is one of the worst and hardmarker teacher i ever had ,teaches nothing and expects you to memorize pages of codes without understanding.hey we are not taking philosophy, we are in engineering program.
I got to say this teacher is my favorite teacher of all time. Her skills and style of teaching is extraordinary. A punctual and organized teacher who does the job right with a great sense of humour. Lastly, a fair marker and highly recommended

Helpful. She wants to be sure that you understand, and she is very approachable. She really knows her stuff. Don't try to avoid getting the textbook, you need it for the labs and to review the code.
cant understand her english. moves to fast and doesnt allow us to take up test or quizz not a good proffesoor. she is also not organaized as she plans the tests in the last week of exam
The first thing I must say is that she is definitely not an "easy" teacher. Also, you will either understand her fully or not at all. There is a very high level of dependence on the text book. Her class is either a sink or swim. Very insistent on lab structure. Does not give enough attention in lab periods.
She's very helpful but rather strict. Her classes are a must because it's much easier to understand what she teaches than the textbook.
She's fair, to everyone. As long as you get your work done A is not a problem. She is very helpful and nice if you ask questions.
Good instructional style, very easy marker. Demands class participation and encourages attendance. Always makes herself available by email or phone for after class support. Known to stay late on several occasions to ensure students get a fair chance to finish their lab work. Treats students with respect and dignity and understands adult learners.
What am amazing teacher. You will understand her no matter how good/bad in school you are. Just be prepared to work hard and you'll learn a lot of useful things that may come in handy. Best thing is to be ready to work. You will learn the material. You won't be disappointed.

She is the best! Makes DGS seem so easy. Her notes are clear and precise. She gives easy part marks. There are no surprises on the tests and midterms if you've done all the homework she assigns and understood her notes. She really cares about her students and wants them to excel with good marks. Overall, I definitely recommend her.
KEEP YOUR GOOD WORK
First of all, she is not an easy marker. However, whatever i learned in her class will be engraved in mind for a long time due to her method of teaching. She follows the book thoroughly, so if you haven't purchased her book, please do so.
The homework she assigns, pls do it as her tests/exam is based on the hw. If you show willingness to learn, she is definitely generous. Got an A in 255, and B+ in 355. Most importantly DO NO MISS HER LAB CLASS because she may exempt you from lab test if you finish labs on time and have a perfect attendance for lab section. I loved her overall.
Lovely lectures. Knows content inside out. Buy the textbook and bring it to class. You won't be able to keep up with her.

She is an awesome professor. She seems a bit tough initially but you will learn throughout the semester that she is actually caring and very fair. Attend her classes and try your best and you will do fine.

Don't miss the labs
Spends most of her time on her phone. She just reiterates the text to the point where she pulls it up on the screen and asks you to solve the example problems. Leaves room frequently during labs, can take up to 20 minutes to have her mark something in lab as she is too busy on her phone. Have to yell at her if you want attention. Avoid at all costs

her course is very well structured. She posts homework questions at least a week before a coming quiz or test, a lot of time to prepare. All questions on the test and final exam are taken from the homework questions. . she will never ask you something which she did not explain in class! Very fair and very smart prof.

Lectures are very well structured. Will explain as many times as you need. All quizzes based on homework problems which makes it very easy to prepare. The best prof for DGS at Seneca

It is hard to understand what she is teaching when highlights over every single word or equation shown on the screen. Expects you to submit 20+ answers worth of questions within 10 minutes during lectures. Expects you to have taught yourself the chapter before she teaches it to you.
One of the worst prof in the whole campus. Has old, high-pitched screeching voice with unintelligible accent that most ppl (including me) can't withstand. Expects us to know everything beforehand, assumes that we know everything about college (Including use of textbooks) when it's our first sem. Beware, never take this professor.

The professor only reads off of the textbook but posted it online. It is better to teach yourself the course instead of going to class. Barely takes into account part marks for test questions even if you did everything correct but got the final answer slightly wrong. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR.
She makes very hard questions for tests and never gives partial marks for the parts you did correctly for a question unless your final answer is correct. I won't recommend taking her class.
She is the kindest and sweetest prof in seneca. She taught us well and if you show her that you are trying your best to learn in her subject she will give you extra mark. One of the most demanding study materials, it requires a full understanding of the concepts, or else you will have difficulty completing the tests within the allotted time (15 questions in 1.5 hours). Also, there is a big emphasis on showing your work and circling your final answer, or you will receive zero.
The worst prof ever. Just reads of the book, never explains anything even if you are confused. You are on your own. Creates abnormally hard tests in comparison to the material. If you do everything correctly and forget to circle the final answer she will give you 0. Moreover, her voice and accent makes your ears bleed. Make yourself a favor and RUN

She's not a terrible teacher for math, but her testing and quizzes are EXTREMELY difficult. She also doesn't respond to emails frequently or quickly. If you have issues thinking outside of the box for solutions, then this professor isn't for you. Many people in my class dropped out. Only take this course if you are extremely good with math.
Prepare for a tough grading system and intensive tests. Attendance is a must to keep up. However, using Unstuck study alongside the textbook can really help with study prep.
She is a good professor and give good grades too, if you study from her homework and review problems.

DO NOT TAKE HER COURSES.I just stopped attend lectures. Attendance isnt mandatory, the assignments are benign, the quizzes/tests are NOTHING compared to what is "taught" during lectures. And lectures are literally just her reading the slides in class. She seems to have no interest in teaching. She even compared her grandkid's work to ours. RUDE!
Larisa is the most unprofessional teacher in Seneca Polytechnic. She had no good pacing in her lessons, terrible accent , makes thing very complicated, lowers grades. If youre having any course with her, be ready to spend all of your time studying for exactly her classes. Totally not recommended
I cannot preface this enough that this class should not be taken with this professor. She does not teach the course material adequetly and expects students to know the material before the lecture. The tests are so disconnected from what is taught in the textbook that its laughable. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE HER FOR MTH147!
she is too old too teach in a college level,her grades are humiliating,if you can pass her class be grateful,she skipped more classes than all of my proffesors overall,never teaches only showes some examples that all,there was 50 people at the begging of the semester and now there is only 5 ,everyone had to skip the class I HATE HER!!!!
