Pretty easy. I got A's on all my papers and I showed up about one day (out of 3) a week. He grades easy and if you have questions, he will help. I'm taking him again for 132 mainly because I know his grading style and I'm sure that will be helpful.

He is so nice.. He will help u if u try and help yourself.. Will work with people if they let him know their circumstances.. I would recommend him and am taking him for 132.

His class was fairly easy. Not an extremely hard grader but not an easy one either. He's willing to work with you if needed. I am taking him again next semester for 132. I recommend taking him.

His class was easy and he was pretty helpful if you needed it. He does tend to freak out time to time, but overall he was fairly nice and it was an easy A.

He was a really good teacher. If you come to class and at least try then you will do very well in his class. He will help you if you ask and dosen't ask a lot from his students as far as busy work or anything.

Very easy teacher and easy grader. Made high B's on all my papers. Lets you resubmit all of your essays with corrections to get 5pts added to your grade depending on how many absences you have. Expecting an A.

I found him to be an excellant teahcer who was hard on each student. He tried to better each student and make them better in thier writing. I thoguht he was great in 131 and 132.

Nice guy personally, but isn't concerned with writing ability, just if you follow his format. If you aren't good at following very specific instructions, take someone else. Otherwise, nice guy, good teacher. Pretty lenient..

He is a very good teacher. He's one of the best english teachers I've ever had. He makes class fun and interesting with his lively presence.(You have no reason to fall asleep). He's very clear on his directions and always willing to help. Doesn't grade hard either as long as you follow directions.

Great teacher. He's funny and easy to talk to. When you have a problem, it's best to go to him during his office hours, where he's far more laid back. You have to know how to write in order to get at least a B. He gives very precise instructions on what he wants. I would totally take him again.

Mr. Bishop expects a lot from his students, but if you come to class and do the work, you should be fine. He is willing to help you any way he can, even if it means meeting with you at times other than his regular office hours. Highly recommend.

Somewhat meticulous in grading. Assigments are extremely easy, preferrably for people with a moderate to good writing capacity. Only negative: he is somewhat of a social neurotic -- jumpy, externally crude, in short afraid of criticism. If you have decent people skills, this is your class.

He's really excellent professor. Appeared mean at first but he's one of my most fav. He is very understanding and encouraging. Will try to help you if he sees you are interested. Take him, find his side and you'll see how much he is interested in you doing good in your schoolwork and career. I wish i could take another class with him. made high B.

He was great. If you use your books, and turn in assignments on time, then you'll do good. He expects a lot, but he is very fair.

I loved Mr. Bishop. He was extremely fair and fun and he really helped me learn. Strict enough to get work done but not militaristic.

Those who say that Mr. Bishop is unhelpful or that he doesn't mark mistakes are either suffering from sour grapes or simply lying. He is very helpful, especially if you take the time to go by his office, and he marks mistakes and gives students chances to revise for higher grades.

Mr. Bishop is a wonderful professor that helped me learn immenseely. He rewards punctuality, attendance, and hard work as well as knowledge of the materials. He is very fair and incredibly realistic and understanding. In my opinion, he is one of the best teachers I have ever had.

this was the hardest B i ever made. I for sure worked for it. Just keep everything he gives you back and follow directions..every tiny thing. It matters..he will find little bitty problems.

advice: take the paper he has graded, and use that as an outline kinda to eliminate mistakes in the paper you're about to turn in. by the final paper, it should be near perfection. very nice guy who likes pink floyd, bob dylan, and people not to waste his time. dont show up late and then argue with him about it.

he's VERY helpful if you go by his office... he had a rough semester b/c no one did what he asked... he has an average eng. class work load... you write 4 papers total and depending on number of absences you can sumit revised essays for a better grade @ the end of the semester!!! GO BY HIS OFFICE and he will see your effort!!! it will pay off...

This class is very easy if you attend and do the work assigned. He is a little wierd, but very helpful. Just follow the syllabus and you will pass.

HE IS GREAT! his class is not that hard, he give you handouts on how to write your paper, he gives you in class time to do it... he goes over your paper and critics it. he very understandable, not much out of class work other than writing papers and reading the chapers, but its not that much... i recommend 100%...!

Bishop is crazy, but he's awesome. Yeah, he can be kind of a jerk, but he know's what he is doing. He is a grammar shark, use that little grammar booklet like crazy, and make sure you actually do the reading, he has pop quizzes. It is a good class, just try and stay on his good side and be enthusiastic not disinterested, even if you're super bored.

He is late for class and he carries himself like he has a HUGE ego...

Bishop is a great teacher. He tries to help you out, and the class isn't hard at all. Just make sure to watch your sentece level mistakes when writing a paper.

Mr. Bishop is an excellent teacher and is very specific about assignments. Follow the instructions and examples given, and you won't have any problems. He also gives time in class to work on assignments, which is very helpful.

Nice guy is really willing to work with you.  Only helps if your willing to learn and earn the grade.  You will not leave out of with anything lower than a B unless you do not attend class do the hwk and turn in the wriing assignments.

Great professor. He lets you know EXACTLY what he wants out of an assignment and will help you with any problems you have.

I really liked his class. He was clear about what he wanted and was really helpful if you went to his office hours. He is kind of a hard grader but it just makes you a better writer. I would take him again.

As long as you get your stuff done, have your text in class & pay attention, you will get at least a B. Pretty easy.

Very nice guy. He has good qualities and bad qualities. He's a fairly easy grader as long as you do what you're supposed to. He cares about the students and helps out when extra help is needed. He has a tendency to talk for too long about things that should take less time.I feel as if getting an A in the class is easy, & I recommend him overall.

I had him for Technical and Scientific Writing (273) and he was very easy. You will need both books for his class but its for a reason. The books really help you understand formatting and other aspects. He is very fond of group projects but he does a really good job with partnering you with people you can get along with.

Professor Bishop was very intimidating at first, and I was very close to dropping after the feedback he gave me on one of my first rough drafts. He's very particular about how papers are formatted and is a stickler for grammar. Once you get past the initial awkwardness though, he's very nice and very willing to work with you.

He is very clear about what he wants in his essays. There is only 4 papers and daily grades that are correcting your papers. Just follow directions and you will pass.

He is very clear from the first day about his class. There is 4 papers, on topics that you choose. He gives you a chance at corrections and then replaces the grade if you come to every class. He is weird at first, but very helpful and is really willing to help you get a good grade. My favorite professor ever.

Mr. Bishop is actually a really good professor. He is sometimes a tough grader, but honestly if you follow the style and grammar youll do fine. He always gives feedback and allows you to correct your mistakes. This class isnt hard, it may seem like a lot of work at first, but you always get plenty of time to work on your documents! Easy A if you do your papers how he tells you to do them. I went based off the examples he provided and got A's on all of them. He will allow you to revise your papers to give you up to 10 pts added to it except for the group papers. You have to do an analytical report and presentation with your group as your final. Funny and very nice!

Mr. Bishop was a great teacher. He was very clear on instructions and gave us plenty of time (in and out of class) to complete our assignments. Be aware he is very energetic! He does smoke cigarettes, so if you get sick easily, that is something to note. It was an easy class though, and I would take him again.
