Mr. Coty is awesome. He really helped me understand everything and gives extra credit questions on all tests, letting me have a 110% average in his class. Definately take his class for any math if you can.

Coty is fun and will make you love Math! I would recommend him! You have to do your homework and ask questions! He will help you understand and test questions typically come straight from the homework.

Excellent instructor! After you have done your homework, he will answer all questions thoroughly. If you follow the outline & study your grade will be rewarding. Mr. Coty has a wonderful classroom attitude. His caring for his students is shown by his actions and encouragement to all.

He is a great instructor no attendance policy. All you have for guideline is your HOMEWORK. That means you have to practise every single problem and ask questions. Otherwise you will be very sorry. You cannot depend on him. His teaching is base on your questions and you will have good understanding.

A great class!!He has a no attendance policy, and makes Algebra fun. Homework is not a part of your grade but you need to do it since his tests are usually right from the homework. He gives you help when you need it & he's extremely intelligent. Can't wait to take his Statistics class this summer!!

Coty Rocks! He is by far the funniest, nicest, most down to earth professor I have had at for math. I was horrible in math but I have gotten high A's on all of his tests. If you do the homework he recommends, you will pass the tests with flying colors!

Mr. Coty is unique individual. He makes jokes. Some of them are kinda lame, but he keeps the long class going. If one never took Algebra, then his teaching method might confuse in the beginning, but he will break subjects down easily. He does not care about attendance and others but just the tests!!!

Awesome i wish i wasn't done with my math requirements because ill know ill never find another teacher that could make me do such a 180 on a subject i hated mathand coty not only helped me learn it but made me like it. Mr. Coty is fun! In fact, he is hilarious. He makes math fun with his dry humor. He takes the time to see you if you need further help. You get tested on exactly what he teaches. Pay attention in class and you will be fine. His class is less stress than the average math class. You feel like you are his peer. Wish I had him for all my math class.

Hate math? Worried about failing? This is the class for you. Mr. Coty is the best math teacher out there. I failed math in high-school and dreaded taking college algebra. By the end of the semester, I had the highest grade in the class and actually won an award. Homework is not required (still reccomended) and there isn't an attendance policy.

He is a very easy going teacher. you don't need to be in a class, but you have to be in his tests. He gives at least 2-3 bouns questions and his tests are same as homework. he just an awsome and cool guy.

This is not an easy A - don't take for granted that you'll walk in and out without putting work into this class. I worked very hard for my grade. Yes, he is relaxed on attendance (aren't we now in college???) but he is very fair. Keep up with homework and take advantage of test bonus points it shud be fine! And yes! Being funny helps with Sat class

Mr.Coty is a great teacher to have. He really cares whether his students pass or not. He makes himself accessible if you ever need extra help. He doesn't care if you don't come to class as long as you show up on test day. Most importantly, he is extremely funny, without ever really trying to be. More teachers should be like him.

One of the true gems at GPC. Makes Calculus interesting and easier to understand. Exams are straight from the HW. Sense of humor is second to none.Highly recommended.

I have never had a single class that was boring, he is the most engaing teacher ever, although Dr. Strangleove still isn't that great it is just ok. The only downside to Mr. Coty is that he doesn't teach past Cal1

goofy but fun. he likes to add a little history into math but at the end of the class if you dont rush him you get all the information you need. the test is just like the homework if you dont do it you cant blame him.

Coty was the best math professor I have ever had. He explains things clearly and he has a good sense of humor. He likes to explain the reasoning behind why mathematicians developed the material you are learning about and how the material is practically used. I find this helps keep me much more interested. Highly recommended.

Amazing teacher! Mr. Coty is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He makes the time fly by with his sense of humor. He tells you all the little tricks so you can use your calculator if you need it. If you are looking for a fun math class, take him! I finished with an "A" with no problem!

Mr. Coty is one of the best Math teachers I have ever had. Math has never been an easy subject for me and I have an A in his class. He is very helpful and speaks to students in a way they understand. Also, he makes Math fun and relates it to the "real" world. GPC is lucky to have him teaching.

Mr.Coty is a good teacher, he keeps math interesting and makes it fun. His tests cover only what is really important so they are short (10-20 questions max) that is the only downside. He doesnt care about attendence and is just as fun teacher!!

Before Larry's class I hated math; now I love it. I enjoyed it so much, I took another class with him the next semester.

He uses what helps him understand math (tricks) help you to understand math. That's cool & all but sometimes you can forget those tricks 4 every test. I prefer the book method as a universal way to remember this subject. All grades r tests only and the final, make sure to take that final or if u miss it like me then you'll might fail the course.

Keep no attendence! Test are only grade! Gives extra points on test! Very Funny! Teaches in a different style! You will need to read! Sometimes not enough time to go over everything in class but will go back or spend extra time if you need it! Hate math and I have an A!!

i honestly hated math before taking his class, but he gave me a reason to love it. he his helpful, knowledgeable, and teaches it in a way that allows anybody to understand. the tests are great. just do your homework and you'll see the ?'s on the test. he is entertaining and a great teacher at the same time...please take him. youll get an A

No rules, knows his subject and tests are fair. He does not really cover any "backstory," so MA97/98 a must. Nice guy, but doesn't seem to have much interest in the students success. He throws the theory out there, demonstrates a handful of problems, then you are on your own. As an interesting, laid-back person- he's an A, as a math teacher- C.

Good teacher. I hate math and he was able to explain understandably. Clear with what he wants and when he wants it. Lectures are short and give you what you need, he's very willing to work with students and doesn't waste time on stupid questions. Gets easily sidetracked with random topics and tends to ramble, other than that I would reccomend him.

He makes Pre-Calc easy to understand, and he is very laid back in everything EXCEPT tests, but his teaching method is just GREAT! Very fun teacher! For people that said he has ADD, come on, you are lazy and doesnt ask questions in class, so what do you expect? Do you want him to bore you to death in class??

Although he's hilarious, do not take him for statistics. You will end up having to teach yourself. He kind of likes to play around the whole class period.

Coming out of high school, very easy! There are 4 test and each has extra credit. I struggled with algebra in high school and i have made 100s on the first two test. He is pretty funny and sometimes boring.. class is long. But if you are willing to learn you will and it will be worth the easy A you will most likely receive.

Best teacher for the summer semester 2010.Tons of loose extra credits plus super soft tests.I've been trough 1 to 12 grades and 3 semesters in GPC, I met only Pro. Coty who gave lots of extra credits.Even with tons of extra credits, I found myself barely passed a second test because I didn't study.It was completely my fault.Highly Recommended!(^_^)

If you dont get an A with him its your fault. Do the homework and you will be fine. He puts easy questions on the test and answers your questions if you ask them. For college algebra.. he rocks!

Now I will say Mr Coty is pretty challenging but everything does come straight from the homework even the test questions he also offers to go over the home work problems will do them on the board for you the thing is you have to ACTUALLY study outside of classtime he grades fair too

He really knows the stuffs. He breaks it down to make it easy for some students, who have difficulties in math. A lot of us are so young in this subject, and I really appreciated Professor Coty. I wish he will also teach Cal 3, so I can take his class again and again.

The deeper he goes, the better Coty will make. This teacher is the only one out of the best teachers at GPC. If you missed Yahoo,CNN,and etc homepages,u would be informed about those breaking news.:) Overall, he explains things well. Fair tests. u must read each section and do hw to make a good grade. I wish he will teach Cal3 or even Diff Equa.

He is a very good teacher, helpful, extremely available with students. Do all your homework and read the chapter on your book you will pass this class well! Usually math profs are serious and boring, this one is very funny. I would suggest Larry Coty to a friend.

I wish he taught Pre Cal. He is as clear as anyone can get. The thing that I thought was most thoughtful is that he answers ALL of your questions. The test come from the homeework, so no suprises.

Statistics is not an easy class, and he made the class a little easier. His tests are from the homework in the book and not the online homework..in the beginning I wish I would have paid more attention to that. Other than that, I love his random stories and jokes, he is hilarious to me. But the class is HARD

Coty is an average professor. I took his Intro to Stats class but like everyone else has noted, the questions on his tests come directly from the homework. If you fail to do the homework you will fail the class. He is not very helpful when it comes to emailing him questions so it does help to attend class. Attendance is optional.

One of the best math teachers I've had, and I've been through the Navy's Nuclear Power Program, taken AP classes, honors classes, etc. Willing to take the time to help you understand conceptually. Spend some time in the book and you can definitely get an A in this class regardless of who you are.
