I have his QNM106 in winter semester. He is so nice that he says hi to us in this summer semester. You donot need textbook in his class, but you can learn everything easily. He gives the materials, and explains clearly. I hope I should have his class again.

A really nice teacher and he's funny too. Write down everything he does in class. He never ever used the text book once, but borrow one when exams come around because the exam questions resemble the text book more than questions on the papers he'll give you.

I have never met anyone who can make math this easy to understand. He is extremely easy going, he never brings up trivial things, he always goes out of his way to help you, awesome marker, barely uses the texbook instead uses his own examples, and has a great sense of humour. I have hated math my whole life because all the teachers I have had always make is sound like an alien language. This man is truly gifted, he is able to teach math in a way that makes it mickey mouse, you will walk away with a clarity in math that you have never had and can possibly develop a love for it for the first time in your life, awesome guy

Easy marker, uses his own notes and examples instead of the textbook, sais textbook is for robots while his photocopies are real math, costs you 5 bucks for his copys, so cheap for 100+ pages, he is so kind and helpful and wont stop until you get it even if it takes the whole class he wont move on until you learn that exapmle so awesome, just great

At first you will think that he is going to be difficult. Do as he says attend every class and write everything down. He goes through several questions step by step. He will however skip teaching things to get out of class. We covered an entire unit at home from notes that he sent out.

Pros: (1)Teaches the material clearly using step by step instructions. (2) Does a lot of examples from the book. (Encourages students to contact him if they need help/ very helpful. CONS: (1) You have to write fast and copy everything he is writing. This sometimes presents a problem if you find it hard to listen while writing at the same time.

Gift from God. I did horrible (50's) in high school until I took his class. Changed my whole perspective and understanding of math problems. Makes my high school teachers look like second graders. Larry is a good professor. He always here to help. Besides, Larry gives useful feedback. the subject itself is not difficult, but Larry instructs clearly in different ways, so anyone will understand. I offer you not to skip classes to understand all topics and do all labs, they are really important.

Great prof, class was fairly straight forward. Tests were fair and quite easy if you did the homework. Important to do the homework as it's crucial to do welling on the tests, as well as it being worth 15%. Definitely recommend taking this prof.

It was his last semester of teaching. Sad that he retires after this term. His lecture is easy to understand and his repeated practice makes students to understand the formula better. I had wonderful time learning with him!!!

He's very in-depth when explaining math equations, and explores different ways to solve a problem. I was fortunate to have him before he retired. I would definitely take a class of his again.
