Ok, so I hate history...absolutely hate it. But Dr. Eldridge made this class beyond awesome. Now, it's no walk in the park, but it's truly one of those "show up, take notes, and study" classes. His tests aren't easy, but if you study you'll do well. Wish he was teaching HIST 1302

loved his class. only 3 test, he gives reviews, and 3 bonus questions over movies. first one is worth 20%, second one is worth 30%, and last one is worth 50%. he is very knolegable and an easy going guy. you can miss the class up to 4 times then its a letter grade. i highly recommend professor Eldridge. :D

Very easy class. You can only miss four classes. BUT, you get three extra credit videos. If you answer the question right on the exam for each video, you get ten points each. HELPS A LOT. You only have to study his study guide to pass. He likes to tell stories to make it interesting. Easy class.

As far as I know about professor Larry, he is funny and really close to student. I totally enjoy his lectures, especially his pirate stories. During class, he would let you know which parts gonna be in the test so it is easily for you to focus on.It's easy to get A as long as you study hard, pay attention in class. Enjoy and Good luck :)

Fun class, very clear lectures. He also emailed us pdfs of the lecture notes, which I found thorough. I really enjoyed this class. My only regret is that I didn't take this during the regular semester; I took it as a Wintermester class. He is very irreverent, which I found fun and amusing; other students may not.

He is one of the best professors I've taken at CCCCD. He makes the class fun and interesting and truly enjoys teaching. The tests can be a little difficult but if you put forth some effort, you should be able to earn a good grade.

I personally wasn't sure if I could survive through this very-first-time U.S.history class in my life; however, Dr.Eldridge made it happen. He was such a great story teller from the day one, and his written material was very helpful towards the exams. I also found his multiple-choice exams very appropriate for this particular level of the class.

He also paints the setting very well so that you are able to think from the perspective of people from different times and places. Great person to learn a lot from! Take him he makes it easy too!

Prof Eldridge was a good and funny teacher!!! He always kept you entertained and laughing. He made the class easy. He provided such good notes that you could subsitute them for the textbook. He would make sure that you understood the material. NO ESSAYS, NO QUIZZEZ, and NO PROJECTS! And for some odd reason he had a huge dislike for the french LOL!

By far, the BEST Professor I have ever had. His passion for the material makes History come alive in his stories and anecdotes. It was literally like getting to sit through a 4 hour story hour every day. He gives VERY clear and concise notes and while his exams are challenging, they are very fair and he makes sure you understand the material.

I could never imagine my ideal classroom environment until I took his class. His personality is priceless and he is very easy to relate to, even though he is relaxed(in his own humorous way) the way he teaches history, a combo of facts, his personal stories and other off the wall tales that the books never cover, helps pull you in and stay there.

Hilarious. If you are not interested whatsoever in History, he will make you interested. He really does teach the logic behind what happened, reasons why the people in History made the choices that they did. One of the best teachers I've ever had. Kick ass teacher to be honest, his lectures are always interesting, never boring and entertaining. I have had other history classes that were boring, this class was not even close to boring. He gives test reviews, note outlines. The tests are easy if you study the notes and the reviews. You can only miss 4 days but its not a class you want to skip.

Larry Eldridge is amazing. Easy A if you go to class. He gave us 3 multiple choice tests and that's it. Each one had a bonus movie to watch if you wanted/needed extra points. Tests were fitted perfectly to his lectures and review so it made them easy. He is absolutely hilarious and will keep your attention; you will always want to go to his class

This professor is GREAT! He is a Marine and a scuba diver. But he is also a GREAT history prof. He is straight forward and blunt with class and humor. Book is not required, but does help reinforce his teaching. 3 exams *including final* and one paper. He said he might change that though. Attendance is required. Overall AMAZING.

Prof. Eldridge teaches not for the sake of passing the course but to give an understanding of history. He's traveled to places he lectures about so he will have cool stories relating to lecture. He's funny and will keep you entertained. Learn to participate in lecture but dont interupt (he will explain why). I actually like history now 8)

Awesome class to take with an awesome professor. Makes the class fun & interesting. He's very hard on attendance & grades but you have to mess up bad to fail. He is not boring at all and is very helpful. His character is that of an ex-Marine so if you can't handle that, don't take his class. If you are easily embarrassed, don't take his class.

The most EXTRAORDINARY teacher that i have ever had in my life! I dont like U.S. History, but man, this guy loves this stuff! If you like hilarious, non judgmental, fun teacher that likes to crack up crude jokes, this guy is for you. No text books, 3 exams including a really challenging final, and one simple essay. But this was summer class.

You do not need the book in his class. He is an awesome teacher! He is laid back, but he does not just give out As. Attendance is mandatory in his class, but you would not want to miss out on his lectures. They were never boring! He gives the class plenty of time to ask questions. Put forth a little effort and read over your notes and u can do good

He is a great teacher! His class is never boring. If your really religious or easily offended you might try a different class! If you have a sense of humor and can pay attention don't look any further. While he is relaxed and you will look forward going to class everyday DON'T think it's a blow off class! his tests are challenging! Take notes!

This class was AMAZING!! And that's saying something from me cuz u hate history. He will not waste his time teaching you things that u do not need to know. If he says it in class it will more than likely be on the test. I was never bored in this class at all. Wish he taught 1302.

He is a wonderful teacher. Very lucky to have had such a insperational teacher.

Teaches the material in depth and very well. Don't need a text book at all. But you need to pay attention to lectures and take notes! And study for tests.

If you want an exciting, interesting, and funny class. He's your guy. He's an ex-marine, which means he's tough, stern and attending class is a must. Book is not needed. Be ready to write notes. Everything in lecture will be on test. I PROMISE you will not be bored. He makes history come alive!!! He's not easy by any means so know your stuff.

Do not take this class if your offendable. But, do take this class if you want to learn. This professor really knows his history, and explains it in a way I've never seen it explained. You truly see how into it he is. (Especially when he talks about Sir Robert Drake)

A fantastic and fun teacher. He explains everything in great detail, while also being extremely entertaining with tales of his past exploits. He takes jabs at everyone, so a sense of humor is a must. He tells both sides to each event he teaches, letting you understand everyone's perspective. He was one of my first, and my favorite teacher I've had.

Even though i didn't pass his class due to my lack of studying, i would definitely recommend taking him He's an awesome & hilarious professor, you'll never be bored!!! There was 3 tests & 1 paper. Just study for tests and do the paper, i know i would've passed if i did! remember his tests are tricky and study hard for those:)

Great professor! You will not be bored!! Loved going to his class, he is my favorite professor so far. Easy class because he makes history interesting so you remember most everything when it comes time to study for the tests. YOU ARE THE BEST ELDRIDGE!!

Prof Eldridge is the best! I love coming to class. :) He explains crystal clear and basically puts you back in time to wear you can picture what is exactly happening and how you might feel in that situation. Best professor for history. :)

LOVE professor Eldridge! I always look forward to his lectures, he makes them very interesting and he is very passionate about history. It's not an easy A, be prepared to take a LOT of notes, he doesn't use the textbook. If you miss more than 4 classes he takes a letter grade off. Had 3 tests total and a 5-page paper to write.

I love this guy no homo. He makes history fun and interesting. I will miss his sense of humor and stories. This was the first college class I actually liked going to!

I loved this Class. He does challenge you to think outside the box, but he helps you get to that point. I would recomen this class to anyone who is needing to take a history class!!

Best teacher I have ever had, hands down. He is so much fun, tells you funny stories about otherwise boring subjects. Challenging tests but only 3 tests total and 1 5pg paper, nothing else. Show up to class, take notes and you will pass! Looked forward to going to this class every time.

he's really funny and will keep your attention for sure, his tests are hard as hell, you have to study a lot for them, but he was certainly my favorite professor.

Great Professor! He breaks down the information so anyone can understand it. Attendance is a MUST! He does not use the text book; tests are from lecture only! Class was easy, but must study lecture notes. More than half the class failed, but that's only because none of them took the class seriously or dared to study.

Great Professor! loves what he is teaching you must show up to class! and you must study the lecture notes he gives you!

Really funny teacher. He definitely knows how to keep you interested. The tests are extremely hard if you're not willing to study like crazy. There is a LOT of notes to go over and so much to learn. It can be overwhelming towards the end of the semester. But really, his personality alone will give you good memories of the class.

Best professor!Explains everything very well!You will love his personality.He is very nice and cares for his students!STUDY HARD since his tests contain none of the above option.So even though its multiple choice, you REALLY need to know your stuff!BUT AMAZING professor! He needs an award for his AWESOME lectures!

LOVED THIS PROF.!! The class was fun and I looked forward to every class. He is funny, and of the wall. He made history an enjoyable topic and i would take him again in a second. There are 3 exams and a paper. I could have gotten a better grade but didn't make time to study. If you do the reviews and study you'll do great!

Eldridge's class was entirely lecture based. Did not allow tech to be used in class, so all notes must be handwritten. Book not used. Four absences allowed. His lectures were interesting, tests short/easy, too easy. Be aware, he is very crude. See site guidelines RMP, comments that will be removed. Expect all of the first 5 bullets from him.

Eldridge is one of the best teachers I have Ever had. If You are a slacker please don't sign up for his class. If you want you want to actually learn to think outside of the box, he is your guy. Eldridge does not GIVE grades!!! You EARN grades in his class. He is a genuine dude who loves what he does!And he went to London and Brought me Chicken!

really nice teacher and really interesting guy. he will make the class very interesting. he is super strict on attendance. everything is nice except his tests. they are so confusing. he doesnt use books at all. its totally lecture. i would not recommend it to a friend who is not so good at memorizing stuffs. because u must memorize lecture to pass.

Great Professor! His notes he gave the class were clear, but you have to come to lecture in order to know a better understanding of the context of the notes. Makes history come to life by teaching it in a different way. Doesn't use the book and all around amazing professor. I wish he taught HIST 1302!
