good professor. but don't expect to slack off, this one requires you to read the material and pay attention. If you do, the tests really aren't that hard. Also, assigns one book report during the semester.

A lot of heavy reading. If you had a really good Soc I class this class is a breeze. He tells you what is going to be on the quiz and even gives you the questoins.

This guy is cool.The readings are clear and he's funny. He really wants people to know what kind of world we live in.Very easy class and he's funny.

He is an AWESOME teacher. His class is actually very interesting and he is always telling you personal stories. His extra credit is great too. It's like trying a new restaurant or making him photo-copies. He's old, but cool!

LIKE A REAL UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR! Gives you a syllabus for the 4 exams. All you have to do is read the book and show up to exams. He doesn't care about tardiness or attendance. I highly recommend this professor.

easy? I don't think so. Nice person, and interesting lecture, but his lecture is almost nothing to do with exam questions. Study guide is helpful, but you got to read whole textbook. Lots of extra pints are available. Maybe easy to pass, not to get A.

Really nice guy but the study guides that he gives us have barely anything that is going to be on the test. So if you like to read the text book take him. He also shows a lot of movies.

I don't know about soc 1, but soc 2 is the easiest class you will ever take in your life. The study guide is short, and I literally read the day before the test. Interesting guy. Guest speakers were interesting. Movies were good. Take it.

Easiest teacher you'll take in your entire life. He never even read through the short answer part of the test so u could've written n e thing u wanted. He foams in the mouth which is kinda gross but other than that take him, trust me!

He's is a terrific teacher! He's very caring, very understanding, and VERY helpful! He makes the class is really interesting! Look over what's on the study guide and you'll do fine on the tests!

Learned the most valuable lessons in life from the God given gift to Pierce. As for the rest of Pierce, aside of the physiology dept they suck. Public education at its worst. Go to Valley or PCC. Larry is hard, great & treats you with respect. Use study guide, & do extra credit & you got an A

This class is really really easy... the test basically constits of the keywords in the back of each chapter and the study guide. Watch lots of videos.. doesnt take roll after 1st few weeks..hes old n looks like hes dying.. but hes a GOOD teacher... i had 2 take him again for soc.102..Overall: EASY

This teacher is so eassssssssssy! seriously, he's really funny and all he talks about his love, girlfriends, boyfriends, and what they're up to! He tells the boys how to treat their ladies and vice versa! The foamy thing on the side of the mouth is nasty, otherwise, he's great and you'll learn alot!

he's really funny and a good teacher. He's got some funny jokes and teaches you about life.Half way through the semester all you do is watch videos for extra credit.

He's ok. He shows interesting videos and has guest speakers quite often. He hardly lectures. However, make sure to attend every class meeting because every exam will cover information from class but you can never be sure from which class meeting. I found the textbook he assigns to be very good but also very biased (leaning to the left).

Very easy & kinda interesting. Basically all we do in class is watch videos for extra credit. you don't have to watch more than 2 but he shows 100 of them, so if you miss classes, no big deal. gives out a study guide for each test, and one class meeting before the test, he gives out most of the answers to the studyguide. An easy A.

You have to read the book to pass but for an old guy hr is very interesting.

He gives out 10 max extra credit points. He drops the lowest test grade. He gives out a study guide before each test. His study guides only help with a few questions. DON'T RELY ON THE STUDY GUIDE! Lectures DO NOT HELP. Read the book! You will not do well if you just do the study guide. He's very VERY repetitive.. he's nice. HARD if you are lazy.

Dr.Horn is a very nice person but at the same time I don't object to what most students have told about him that he doesn't teach much .He gives a lot of extra credit and the study guide is helpful esp. for the essay.Do volunteer work for Soc.2 it will help your grade.I got 2 'A's for both courses.It is an easy subject.He is funny too.

i was shocked that i got an A in his class. He doesn't teach. He's a really nice person and he does care about his students but his lectures are pointless. he gives a max of 10pts extra credit. his tests are hard because you need to READ the book. he doesnt give any notes. if u don't like to read long chapters, don't take this class.

Smart Professor. Boring class. You watch movies every single class, and nothing about the movies is on any of the exams. The exams come straight from the book, so read the book, study hard, and you'll be fine. he is VERY repetitive, says things over and over again, but very nice. he definiately cares about his students.

nice man. very sweet, and soft spoken. he is kind of old; therefore, he kind of repeats everything!!! there's no homework, the test are easy b/c all you need to do is read the book, and you're set. His class will make you sleep, especially when he puts on "interesting" videos. (*snore)

The exams were nothing from what he covered in class. Everything was straight from the book. We watched tapes in every class, he didn't explain much. He always had some nice stories to tell though.

(to the person below me). dr.horn is a great teacher he gives lots of extra credit & the final isn't cumulative. his goal is for everyone to get a good grade in his class. i got an A, one of the best teachers.

Very interesting subject, inspiring teacher. You wil watch alot of interesting videos-but don;t relax too much with the exams. You will need to read the text and study to get an A or B on the exams, espiecially the first two, I did get an A, but I did have to put in a fair amount of effort for it.

He will tell you the answers to some questions but mostly loves to tell funny stories. Nice old guy...take him or piss off w/ some other nutty proff!

Great professor. Very kind, intelligent, and fair. Yes it's true that he doesn't lecture straight out of the book like other professors, so you have to do reading on your own time in order to get a good grade, which comes as a shock for students who don't want to put in any effort towards learning. He's very wise, and his stories are inspiring.

I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. he's fair and his class was fun/interesting. yes, you have to study, but he gives out study guides for every test & final. the questions are straight forward and REALLY easy! he gives out extra credit too! take him, you won't regret it!

Dr. Horn is a nice old prof. He does not lecture, but tells some funny stories, shows a bunch of films, and brings speakers to class. I like this class, however, it was a v. boring class, too. His tests are easy, but you have to read the book though. It is doable to get A. I got only A's. He offers 10-15 extra points.Take it in the short semester.

He was a great teacher. Yeah, he is old, but he didn't act old. He was cool. Very funny, the class wasn't boring to me. I looked forward to class everyday. READING THE BOOK IS A MUST! His reviews weren't all that helpful; they helped but not that much. Great teacher, take the class! :]
