One of the coolest teachers I've had. Makes himself very available to help, tests are straightforward, right off the homework and lectures. He wants you to do well. Tests are usually 3-4 problems, written. He makes a few jokes to lighten the mood in class. Good class!

The review below me is absolutely right. I went into his office hours the week before the final just to make sure I was getting something right, he yelled at me for not understanding. Hard to get a good grade. Tests are written and are pretty much hit or miss. There is very limited partial credit on problems. The recorded lectures really helped. Pay attention to the questions he posts, they are similar to ones seen in the essay portion on exams. Do the HW! Gives you multiple attempts, the points from a few assignments can get you out of borderline grades. Reach out to him if you are struggling he will help.

Pretty easy class. MC in midterms are copied directly from homework questions and also gives answers to free response a week before exam. Study both and you'll be golden for midterms.

Howard is intelligent and super helpful. I'm not gonna lie, this graduate class is HARD, but he will tell you exactly what you need to know for the exam, so it's on you to pay attention and study. I like how it's not multiple choice so I can freely explain all the knowledge I know, and he'll give as many points as possible for trying.

Professor Howard teaches econ in a way that's very easy to understand but reading the textbooks helps so much. His lectures are very boring and I didn't pay attention, but I still got a good grade b/c of the textbook. First 3 tests are online on achieve and the cumulative final is in person. Not an easy A, but if you put in effort, you can get it.

He cares that you understand. 2 midterms, 2 parts each. Multiple choice+written. Choice is based off HW and he provides practice for written which are the same or close to it. Final is accumulative but based on first two exams and last chs.He hands back exams so you can review and ask questions. No projects. Questions for points during lectures.

Lectures can be a little boring so it's important to pay attention, suggest reading the book after lectures because the lectures won't be enough. 3 exams all online and fairly easy. He also wants people to ask questions in class to further understand the material and very accessible through email. He's very kind and overall a very good professor!

Great professor!! I'm personally not an economics type person but Professor Howard made the subject interesting. He points out what is truly necessary to know & gives excellent examples to support the material. The 3 exams weren't too bad but you do have to study hard. There is 1 individual assignment which was insightful. Take him if you can!

Professor Howard was a very lenient and laidback professor who just came to class and told you what you needed to know and I appreciate that. The midterms are harder than the final exam but just do the chapter activities and homework and you'll do fine. There is one writing assignment that is super easy and not heavily graded but you can revise.
