Larry is such a great teacher! I am so glad that I was in his lab. He really wants his students to succeed. He is very helpful and always willing to answer questions - He even gave up his break a couple of times to help me. I recommend taking his lab, practicing on the models in the library, not falling behind, and going to the practice labs.

Larry was a very fun teacher unfortunately he does not know a lot about evolutionary biology. If you asked a questioned during lab it was 50-50 if he was going to be able to help. Class was easy as he emailed notes every week to study from before the weekly quiz. He even highlighted the subjects in red that were going to be asked

Larry was great! He wants his students to succeed and he does everything he can to make sure that happens. The midterm and final require a TON of studying, but from what I have heard his tests are easier then others! But attend the practice tests (about 1/2 the questions on practice are on the test)

Great Professor! He was extremely patient and scheduled open labs at various times to make sure that his students could attend. He has a great personality and is easy to communicate with.

I have a ton of bio background, so I thought this class was extremely easy. I hardly ever stayed for the whole class. Although I know many of my classmates found it kind of hard. Larry is a little crazy, but he is a really nice guy who will try to help you out and work with you the best that he can.

Larry cares so much about his students! He will do anything to help you understand, even give you individual time. And if you still don't understand, he will keep explaining. He loves anatomy and that really comes across in his lectures. I wish he taught Physiology so I could take him again. Attendance is mandatory if you want your points.

Let's face it, there is a lot to learn in Anatomy Lab. Larry will go over the material as much as you need to learn it. He will even hold extra lab time to help you. All the Teacher's Assistants say he is the most helpful of all the lab teachers. He is a big teddy bear, too. He loves his job and he loves seeing his students succeed.

Larry is such an amazing person. You wont find a teacher that goes as far and beyond as he does. He will help you with basically anything, to help you pass the anatomy lab. He has the biggest heart. The only thing is not to get fooled by how fun, hilarious, and relaxed he is because tests are hard. Ask for help and you will get it.

Larry is truly a life saver when it comes to anatomy, especially for students taking it for the first time. Right off the bat he told us on the first day that he's on OUR side, and wants the students to succeed. And honestly he did all he could to make sure students understand the course. He's a very kind-hearted, fun, and yet excellent professor.

I just barely spoken English, and it was really hard to understand all materials. If you have difficulties in learning like me, Larry will take serious consideration to go all over, especially to English as Second Language learners. But you have to insert some of your efforts to earn an A like me :)))

I transferred into his class and im soooo glad I did. He was a lot better than the previous professor I had. He is a very helpful professor! To him there is no stupid question. He understands test anxiety and would play a video before every quiz to calm your nerves. He cares and wants to make sure every student is successful.

Larry is awesome. He knows what he's talking about. He shows how to differentiate different structures really well, which is especially tricky with histology. He also makes time out of his week to meet up if you need extra tutelage. Had I not gotten an A, I would definitely take his class again.

At times the lectures felt a little rushed and confusing but I think that was because the lecture material got changed and it was out of his hands. Anatomy is not an easy subject, it is a lot of material in a small amount of time and I felt like he did his best with what he had.

GREAT TEACHER, willing to give you all the time you need to go over the information. With this class spend as much time as possible on the cadavers, better to learn on them then the pic in the book.

Larry was one of the best professors I ever had. You knew he cared about us and that does make a difference. He also had a teaching style that was although heavy on the lecture for a lab course really helped with understanding the overall course. The final was very difficult. Study lots and take advantage of the helpful TA's.

Larry is a great human being and goes the extra mile to make sure his students "get it". There is a weekly quiz based on prior week's lecture/lab sheets. His midterm and final are mostly things he emphasized in lecture/hands-on activities. Also he does a practice midterm/final that really helps reduce anxiety because you know what format to expect.

Larry made the hardest (subject wise) class I've ever taken FUN and interesting. I would definitely take other classes from him if he taught others. I highly recommend him. His class is very educational but laid back environment.

We had a terrible lecture teacher and Larry was our lab teacher. He was great! He gave us all the time and help we needed and more. I wish we could've spent 3 days per week in lab instead of lecture. More time with cadavers and models is so much more helpful. Plus his TA's were amazing and so knowledgeable. Definitely recommend him!

Larry really cares about his students and their success. He offers outside class help and is passionate about his work. He does not take role for attendance but he does have a quiz every class that counts against your grade. Larry works with the TA program and has a group of wonderful TA's. I love that program and think it should continue!

I wouldn't have passed had it not been for his dedication to help me understand the content. I owe my success to the time he took outside of class to make sure I would pass. I literally cried when I received a perfect score on the final. If you make the time, he will too. And for the record, you'll never find a professor like him, I guarantee it.

BEST LAB INSTRUCTOR! He is enthusiastic about the subject of anatomy and truly cares about the students. Anatomy lab is already a hard class, but taking it with Larry makes it enjoyable. You do have to study for the midterm and final (they are fill-in-the-blank), but the weekly quizzes are multiple choice (other lab teachers do fill-in-the-blanks).

If you have to take anatomy/lab take it with Larry. He really cares about his students and will take the time outside of class to help you learn the material. This class is nothing to take lightly especially with only fill in the blank allowed on weekly quizzes/midterm/final (that's what the department insists on).

This is a very hard class. If you study you will get a good grade but you definitely can't slack. Larry goes out of his way to be available and help in any way that he can. Study, study, study!!! He is unintentionally hilarious! In class quiz every week. Fill in, no multiple choice, very lenient on spelling.

Larry really enjoys teaching anatomy lab and he does a great job. He gets on tangents from time to time during his explanations, but it can be very helpful to take a break from the rigor of anatomy lab. I, personally, found his teaching style to be very easy to learn from. Your grade in anatomy boils down to the effort you put into it, though.

Larry and the TA's were both amazing! The Anatomy class at SLCC is ridiculous, there is an extremely high retake rate. Pass it the first time, work your butt off. They need to redo their program and keep saying they will but have not in over a year and keep adding material. But Larry will do his best to take care of you!
