He loves to hear himself talk and laughs a lot. You will either think he is insane or a cool, nice, pleasent guy. Perfected grammer is the main focus of his Eng 102 class. He will talk about material through the breaks, but does not count absences. I got an A, but did my work.

I really enjoyed this professor. He warned everyone that his class was hard, and it was. His focus seems to be mostly on proper grammer. I got an A in this class and worked damn hard to get it.

For 101-lots of books to read and papers to write, Reseach paper is important, but he didnt talk about it much. 102-this man loves poetry he has them all memorized! Papers are harder in this class. Lots of work, but an interesting guy. i found him very inspiring. 270-Easy A!

Krikorian is a great teacher. He's an easy "A". He's a very intresting person. English gramar is not my favorite subject but he makes it easy.He doesn't expect alot and he doesn't assign much homework.Take his class.

He is funny as hell. Nice, smart, he is really helpful. Just do the work and he'll pass you.

Atention!! Atention!! All ESL students, do yourself a favor, DON'T TAKE KRIKORIAN because you about 95% you won't pass his class. He teaches ESL classes as 101 English. If you are perfect English writer, I will recommend him. Stay away from him.

FONZI!!!! he look's like fonzi!!! lol..I love this teacher. He always made me laugh. He likes to talk, true...I'm planning to take him for 101.You need to have a good sense of humor to be in his class...ha ha..got an A in the class!

extremely easy A. i didn't read all the required books and got A's on all my tests. we watched a lot of movies... kind of a drag to have this as a 3 hour night class but at least the subject material was cool.

This teacher is hard but fair and you learn a lot, but you do have to work hard.

Lots of reading and essays. If you do not have endless amounts of time to read books, don't take it. Talks about the books in class and laugh at his own jokes. Helps you with the term paper's works cited-see him in his office-a must! I would have almost failed the paper if I did not see him. Tells you essay topics ahead of time. Ok professor

Perpetually amused by his own comments. Tends to go off subject. Makes class more of a history lesson, than an actual English class. Doesn't make clear as to what you're gaining from the books from a literary perspective. LOTSA essays, which I love. Makes you read books, then pretty much goes over them page by page in class, so it's redundant.

you will learn a lot in Krikorian's class, but it might not be worth it. Krikorian prides himself on being a difficult teacher and expects a large portion of his class to fail. they do too. even though he is a good teacher, a class as important as english 101, is not worth the risk of a teacher who is so willing to throw out fails to his students.

His class was more about Virtnam war rather than English. Most of the stories we read were about war veterans. He's a little weird His jokes don't really make sence. I learned not too much from him and I had a hard time at my English 28 class.

Oh my God, everyone says the same thing. Don't take him, he is the worst! You can't get an A from him, but I had a very different experience. I found him interesting and entertaining to say the least. His memory is seared in my mind. he assigned little homework and I thought was lenient with grading. I got an A and I can't spell.

To get a good grade, you ought to: 1)be able and love to read, 2)listen everything he says and make notes, 3)fulfill every point of his assignments. His class was the most interesting one from all those Pierce English classes which I'd ever taken. Afterall, Mr.K is better for mature and literature oriented audience.

Krikorian is the easiest teacher I've EVER had..got an A+ and i rarely went to class. you don't have to read b/c he'll read the stories out loud in class. yea he's weird and he can talk 2 himself from time to time but hes pretty cool. AN EASY A!

his class was great. Even though he talked about his personal life sometimes, he kept the class interesting. We had to read 6 books for his class, but I only read 2; i got the rest of the information from the lectures and quotes in the books. at the beginning he said it was kamikaze to take his class during summer, but I got an A!(ps im esl)

I'm so glad I took him for Engl. 101. He raised the bar and now everytime I'm around idiocy I recognize it. My fav quote from him "A 'B' student is an 'A' student with a life." Ha! I'd cross the street to thank him for the course. Oh, he let us re-submit coursework, via mail, to improve our grade. GREAT help! :)

Great teacher! Funny, insightful, helpful, clear... what more do you want? He is a little tuff, but its English 101. Does a great job preparing you for future transfers, and you will learn life lessons, at least i did.

I think he's one of the best teachers I ever had. Although I had developed a major crush on him by the end of the semester, so it was a bit hard to concentrate! haha

It's not bad at all. His grading is pretty easy, you can get a B without much effort an A is a little harder. Don't let all the books discourage you! you never really have to read, he will tell you everything you need to know for essays. & to the person to was mad about MLA: he makes it totally clear what to do its pretty hard to mess it up.

I should warn you, if he notices you make comma errors, run! He gave me a B on a few papers because I made more than 1 comma error, its his way of grading. Besides that, if you put decent effort you'll get a good grade. I got a B. Take advantage of office hours and put time in. Not an easy A, you have to work for it- but it's possible!

He is a great teacher. Very knowledgable and interesting. The class is very thought provoking and the books read are wonderful. I'm keeping all of them! Listen in class; take good notes; do decent papers and you'll do fine. Enjoy - he's a cool guy with lots of interesting stuff to say.

All you need to do to pass this class is pay attention to his editing notes in your essays. He goes over all of the editing marks at the beginning of the term. Write them all down. If you use them as a guide, you will absolutely improve. He isn't that difficult. The books that he chooses are all interesting, and the lectures aren't bad at all.

Krikorian's reading Oates' "Where are you going, Where have you been?" aloud to us, changed my life for the better. I didn't know how to read like that before he gave us a demonstration.

He's not that bad. He is just a little odd. BUT if you read the book he assigns, pick a good quote to use, and watch for grammar mistakes, then there wouldn't be any problem for you passing his class.

Extremely easy. Very straight forward class, you read a story in class and then write and easy at the end of each week. You don't need to show up everyday but know they story well enough to be able to write about it. Overall he is a very nice man and quite funny.

This class was really EASY. You read some kind of a short story and write an essay about it. Whoever thinks this teacher is bad... Well, you sure need help! Krikorian is really funny and awesome to me! We also had a pizza party at his class! :D He gives breaks as well if you are really tired. Krikorian is number 1.

This teacher accomplishes many things through the semester, and that is to help you write properly and perfectly. Yes, He corrected grammar for a living and will help you never make another dumb mistake again. Take him if your aim is to improve your writing, speaking, and intelligence. This class was very fun! He LOVES Lord of the Rings so he's very excited to teach it. There are only two papers and an easy midterm and final. As long as you turn things in you are most likely going to get an A. My only complaint is that he's a bit scattered and the sci-fi books were kind of boring. Overall I would definitely recommend this class.

Many people claim he's arrogant or rude, but they never gave an example. He's a nice guy with an interesting taste in humor. What I like most about him is his passion for his favorite books, I thought that was admirable and it made his lectures very interesting. He's not hard, just do everything he says and you'll pass.

I had him for winter intersession. It was a lot of work but he was a good teacher. He had us bring in parts of our research papers so he could see how we were doing on it. Hard grader when it comes to grammar and works cited but as long as you pay attention and ask for help if you don't understand, he is willing to help

Krikorian is awesome. He's a tough grader only because he wants his students to succeed at the university. His enthusiasm and passion is undeniable. I highly recommend Krikorian to anyone looking to become a proficient writer. Remember kids, college isn't about taking easy classes, it's about becoming the best individual you can be.

Professor Krikorian is a unique and genuine teacher. His lectures are educational and informative. He clearly knows the material and helps the class to better understand the books/stories being read. He is accessible and approachable, and will definitely help you out if you communicate with him and visit during his office hours. I highly recommend!

His methods of organization and structure for preparing and writing papers will earn you A's not only in his class, but also whichever university you transfer to. I took this teacher during winter session, he likes to tell you stories that often relate to the subject at hand. The most important thing about his class is if you do not get a passing mark on the research paper, you won't pass, so it is a good idea to ask him a lot of questions pertaining to it. He looks meticulously for mistakes so be cautious.

If you are good at writing essays take him because its all you do for a grade. No work at all. Just 5 essays throughout the semester

When i first started his class during fall semester I was really overwhelmed because there were 7 books that had to be read and we would have 6 essays & 1 paper that counted for 50% of the grade. I now respect him for teaching me how to write a research paper and helping me fix my grade by showing me my mistakes. Don't doubt yourself. Take him.

He is a perfect teacher. he grades us just by writing. the exams are open book. He always explains us the required grammar and corrects our mistakes during the exams.

Mr. K is a great teacher but grades tough, and I feel most of the bad reviews are for this reason. However, if you ask questions, read books, take notes, and pay attention to your comma usage then you should be fine. I like his Lord of The Rings references. Also,I wrote the research paper the day before it was due, and I still got an A.

Absoluely horrific teacher and a disgrace to the education field. He goes on and on about his father who fought in some war and you can expect him to show you pictures of his father every class. Has not assigned any readings in novels, but told us the entire plot. Unable to read the text properly because Mind numbingly uneducated.

One of the best English professor at Pierce. Insightful reader and writer. I found it hilarious to listening to his analysis in the articles we read. Also, he has a good choice of articles. You can always lift your grade if you go to his office hour and amend your paper. I got As in every of my essays.

Easy class if you're carrying over skills from 101. He takes note of who shows up to office hours - take advantage of this! In-class essays (we had 3) span 2-3 days, plenty of time to build a solid paper. He'll mark down heavily for specific grammatical errors, but will allow you to correct them during office hours to raise your grade.
