Mr. Pilgrim is a great teacher who not only teaches very well but he successfully attempts to relate his teachings to our real world and how it will affect our future. He is very intelligent and I am glad that I had the opportunity to experience his class

His note packet is extremely helpful, his lectures are fun. His test come like straight from the review that comes in your note packet. Its a very easy class if you just pay attention. I would recommend him to anyone, I'm an accounting major who oknows nothing about science and I made an A.

Mr. Pilgrim is such a cool teacher. He really breaks stuff down for you to understand. He's funny and he's always telling jokes. One of the Best!

Pilgrim is the greatest! I HIGHLY suggest you take him! He has notes printed out for you w/ the study guide! Not only does he make Bio. interesting but he is very funny! 1407 is easier than 1406 but they are both great classes if you take Mr. Pilgrim! He is willing to help you w/ whatever you need! Mr. Piligrim has to be one of the best teachers I've had in a long time. He's sarcastic but in a good way. He's very helpful if you need it and he's very good at explaining the topics by relating them to ordinary things. I really like him as my teacher and I'm excited about having him again for the next sememster.

Both Biologys 1406, and 1407, i took Pilgram for and i absolutely loved him. Yes of course its material you have to study because its Biology - but thats a given - He is great - you buy his notes so you only have to fill in some blanks. He gives you chance for extra credit - i highly recomment him - hes awesome and hilarious -

Took both Majors Biology. His printed notes are great but you still need to notes an take notes and read the chapers he tells you read. You will need to study to get an A in his class. He is a great teacher and encourages all his students. I am sorry that these are the only two classes he teaches. I got an A in both classes.

i took him for 1407 and he was great, i enjoyed his lectures, he tries to make them interesting even when he knows the material isnt i would recomend him to everyone

very fun teacher if you have HIS notes you will do fine. if not goodluck. there are study pages for each of the tests at the back of the note packet. make sure you take good notes and study what you are given. the final consists of questions from the 4 tests you have already taken so if you do well on the tests you will do fine in the class. :)

He is funny and helpful. If your notes (which he gives you exactly) you'll do well. There is tons of extra credit and no assignments.

Great teacher, had him for an 8 oclock class and always looked forward to it, he is HILARIOUS and goes directly from his notes! His tests are just like the review except make sure you study the visuals in the textbook that he tells you to look at, you have to identify them on tests! Would take this class over!!

Mr. P is an awesome professor! He's really funny and lively. I'm not very good at bio but he is really helpful. I rarely used my book, just my notes. If you are going to take this class make sure you actually do the reviews for tests and study the diagrams! You will have to identify them and the order in which they go!

Hands down one of the best biology teachers period. He gives you notes for his glass that you fill in the remainders as he goes through things. He does diagrams and handouts and is very charismatic. The thing that makes his class so easy is that his review sheets in the back that you can fill out are essentially the tests. If avail take this guy

Mr. P is a very fun teacher! Makes Bio fun and entertaining with lots of real life examples. Big evolutionist and Global Warming enthusist though so be prepared even though he doesnt try to change you. He is very easy.. the tests are directly of his notes and review sheets... You need to pay attention in class to get the notes then study them!

Love him. His sarcasm is fun! And he doesn't really care if you show up for anything as long as you show up for test day and even then he lets you make it up...

Whew! This class was tough! I studied a lot and made a C! I really like Pilgrim, he is a great Christian but can be a little silly at times. Very nice guy- but there is sooo much info! Pay close attention in class and study!

Read the book, go to class, and study the notes and you will make an A in his class.

I loved his class!! Had him for both Biology 1406 & 1407 very easy! You go straight from the printed notes that you fill in on class days. Take 4 tests the whole time then final exam!

ton of stuff to learn & you have to read your book every day, its a long class so try not to be distracted,but he does a great job of reinforcing same points & building on what you learned so you dont forget old things on the final. hes sweet & funny & kind of sassy. READ! STUDY! PRACTICE.

Mr. Pilgrim is hilarious and awesome! There is a lot of information for this course, but as long as you read over the notes and actually try you should be just fine. He also adds optional extra credit papers throughout the semester to raise your grade.

One of the most easy to understand professors. He brings ever example down to your level so that you can grasp the concept. He is kind of quirky and monotone but his jokes make up for it. He gives plenty of extra credit and will work with you outside of class with tutoring or to make up missed tests. He knows that college students do have a life...

Dr. Pilgrim's first priority is that you learn. He presents the material very clearly and shows you hot it all relates, which is important. He's really personable and funny, and he'll work with you if you need to reschedule a test. BUY THE NOTES PACKET. You don't need the book; the diagrams are in the powerpoints he puts online. Take from him!

super great teacher, hilarious and helpful if you go to his office a day or two b4 the test he will review and give you pointers on what going to be expected. you have to study a lot of info. but its not bad at all or impossible

If you're wondering what you do in his class, well you go, he tells jokes, teaches you and "dumbs things down" so that we can better understand the subject, you fill in his notes as he teaches. BUY THE NOTES PACKET IN THE BOOK STORE. (Cannot stress that enough) Study that and you'll pass for sure. Tests are 100 Q's and you take 4 then a Final,Done!

Wonderful professor!!! Funny throughout lecture, made the material easier to understand. You'll get a huge note packet with everything you'll need including online mini-quizzes that are helpful for the tests. As long as you do the reviews with your notes and study everything throughout you'll be fine. Great instructor.

As long as you have the note packet you will pass no problem. He is hilarious in class and basically you fill in the blanks in the note packet from a power point. There are review questions at the end of each section and thats where he gets the test questions from. If you do the reviews, you'll get an easy a. No homework, just 4 tests and final.

This is by far one of my favorite professors ever. He would simplify Biology whenever possible to everyday terms. However, the most important part is how he has a really funny personality and really friendly towards students.

He is hysterical. So it's super fun in class and during lecture, but his tests are beastly. 100 questions multiple choice. Expect to study super hard, every little detail. This is the hardest college class I have taken, I have never had to work so hard! I would honestly have to say I would take him again though.

By far one of the greatest lecturers I have sat before. He does well to integrate completely random nonsense into his lectures to either help you learn or just to entertain you. The exams are somewhat long but he tells you exactly what's going to be on them. If you fail his exams, that means you didn't read, and probably shouldn't be in college.

You only have 54 test. no extra work. He clearly gives you the notes, all you have to do is study them and you will pass his class easily. It just involves a lot of studying. You don't need the book, only the note packet. you wont regret taking him.

I took him for Bio 1 and 2. The lectures are easy to follow. If you are a vocal learner go to lecture, or if you want to fill your note packet up go to lecture, plus he has jokes. The tests are 100 question multi-choice and are made up of about 90% of what is in the note packet, which have review sheets with similarly worded questions as the test.

I loved him so much I took both of my biology's with him. For one, he is hilarious. Take it from me, don't buy the book. It is super expensive and you don't use it. Buy the note packet from the bookstore--it has everything you need to know and all the review questions for each test. As long as you are a good studier, you will make an A.

Larry is an amazing professor, and I will always recommend him. He makes the students laugh and keeps them interested in the lecture. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK, but you NEED to buy the note packet. If you answer the review questions from the packet and memorize them all, you will be guaranteed an A.

Okay Pilgrim is a brilliant man. It's biology so it is going to be tough but i loved his class. He references every topic to something that you can relate to. He is kind of monotone, but everything he says is interesting and i hate biology. He prepares you very well for tests. I am taking him again for 1407. I'd give him a 10/10

Although the class is ran by powerpoint, Mr. P provides great examples over each topic. Very knowledgeable about biology. Study the reviews given and his class is fairly easy.

Mr. Pilgrim is my favorite professor at TJC. He has a great sense of humor and he makes class fun. You do not need to purchase the book, all that you need is the note packet. He goes off of PowerPoints in class but he goes into thorough explanations. He is a very wise and knowledgable man. Study, study, study! And you will make that A.

Mr Pilgrim is HILARIOUS. If you have to take biology, take Mr. Pilgrim. I enjoyed his anecdotal stories before class and also his little silly mnemonics or phrases that would help you remember the order of something essential to the test. He uses notes, but if you miss lecture you miss the thing that would help you remember what you needed to learn

My favorite bio professor. He is awesome. He is funny and makes the content interesting. He uses notes but uploads them before a test. His tests are challenging but if you study and stay on top of the work there should be no problems.

Pilgrim is by far my favorite teacher up to this point. He is very funny, has a good since of humor, and covers everything that's on the test. His jokes will help you remember material on the test. In high school I didn't understand biology but when I got to his class he made everything crystal clear. I would highly recommend pilgrim to anyone.

Mr. Pilgrim is amazing! He loves what he teaches, and it makes class fun. He will help you as much as needed. He is not very good at responding to emails (find him in his office or after class). I didn't use the text book once, just make sure you purchase the required note packet. Be prepared to write a research paper! This class is an easy A!

Professor Pilgrim is the best Science teacher I've ever had. He takes difficult material and makes it easy to understand. I went into his class knowing very little and left feeling more confident in Biology than any other subject. I recently took my pre PCAT and scored in the 90th percentile in Biology thanks to MR. P. Mr.P is awesome. His tests are really easy, if you study. All you need for this class is the note packet from the TJC store, once class starts he gives you time to get it, its only $12. DO NOT to purchase the textbook, he makes his tests directly from the note packet, which is fill in the blank btw. Don't miss too much class, Don't take advantage.

Major Exams are 100 questions. Must purchase a notes packet at the book store for $20 and theres a concept review inside the packet which covers almost everything on the Test. There is one paper that you have to write in the class. There is one extra credit assignment. Overall a great professor and he tells great stories.

Great but test can be hard if you dont study

Prof Pilgrim is super cool, and while he does get off topic, you dont miss any information. Class resources are readily available. He gives notes that are fill in the blank so it is easy to keep up!

Funny professor and great lectures

Professor Pilgrim is honestly one of my favorite professors I have had. He's super nice, and you can tell he really has a heart for his students. There are 4 exams, 1 paper, and a cumulative final. If you fill in the notepacket that he made, and do the concept reviews online you should make a good grade. I think coming to class is important, too.

Take him, period. There is a note packet to buy, but the tests come straight from the review pages. Theres one research paper, but he gives plenty of time to write it. His lectures are good, he tells you which diagrams are going to be on the test. The book is required, but you can make it without one.

He is a really lenient teacher. Other than a couple mini quizzes he doesn't assign any homework. He likes to monologue about his past but when he gets down to business he explains things well. He does, however, have a habit of using crude and rude humor in class. He is easily reachable and encourages questions. His note packet is a must have.

Do NOT buy the book! P's lecture notes are all you need for his class. The only reason people say he goes off topic is because he relates what he's teaching to really awesome life stories, they're great for remembering the material. review sheets and practice quizzes are the key to an A. Professor P is a must have if you're taking 1406 or 1407.

Very Nice Guy, just a very difficult class to take even if you are a Science Major or Pre-Med. The average for his Tests were always in the low 70's and the labs in this course are extremely difficult compared to normal science courses. If you don't have to take this course don't put if you have to get ready to study and have no life.

I loved Prof Ps class, so I took him again! The only downside about his class is the tests. They are 100 questions long . Other than that he is very understanding and has an amazing personality

Prof P has been one of my favorite profs throughout college. He is monotone but he is hilarious. He does a great job of explaining things, and I am so glad I chose to take bio with him vs at A&M. Super caring guy and very eager to work with his students when something comes up. He's a treasure. The day he finally retires will be a tragedy.
