This class can be easy to get an A in, but it takes a lot of studying. It's a lot of material, and it's all about plants- fortunately, he understands that. He makes class extremely interesting and tries to get you motivated.

Med. Ethics was one of the most interesting classes I took at Tech! Got a 'B' in BISC 132..not dumb, just bombed the first test (I didn't believe the study guide was the test, and therefore didnt study it). GREAT TEACHER (DOWN TO EARTH)!!!!!!!

Good teacher. Never thought I wouldnt sleep though a biology class. Love it when he make fun of the people who come in late and leave early. If you study its hard not to get at least a B unless your the brain at the top who only makes A's

He is a really good teacher. You take notes straight off the overhead and he gives a study guide for the first two tests. The test is straight from the study guide. The last two tests don't have study guides but if you study the notes you will do wonderful! A+ teacher!

I LOVED his class. He is fun and interesting and willing to help you. I would recommend everyone take him.

Much easier than Bisc130 if you had Colgan or Ramsey. Teaches straight from the text and tells you what to hi-lite. Buy the study guide he makes and puts in the book store. It is the test and he gives u the answers to the study guide also. Helpful but discouraging when it comes to getting in Med.scl

This guy may be very easy, he may seem very kind and helpful...BUT HE'S NOT HELPING YOU ANY!!! He's giving you information to be regurgitated, not learned. He's only at TECH to feed his evergoing ego trying to "advise" as many students as humanly possible to recieve self-nominated awards.

Unlike 101 he doesn't just give you a studyguide. Instead he lectures and points out what's important so as long as you go to class you're good and then also you don't need the book. BTW, they just started a "Peer Mentoring" thing for bonus points. I didn't go to any meetings and still got an A, so only go if you're stupid or just want to be safe.

Makes a lot of corny jokes, but some are actually funny. I recommend him for BISC 101.

Sellers is a great teacher;he teaches directly from the book,so what more could you ask for?The information is there & he puts it out for you & tells you what is most important.Im currently taking his 8am class & to be honest,it's nice to have a teacher with a personality because face it,class is class and you will get bored.He keeps your attention

Dr. Sellers is a great teacher. I don't think he makes the classes too easy; I think his method actually helps you learn instead of just cramming for the exam like you have to do with other professors. He is a nice, friendly teacher who makes class enjoyable and seems to genuinely care whether the students are actually learning the material.

Never cancels class, always lectures so missig will set you back a chapter. Have to study for tests, or you may not pass. Had 7 tests but there is a study guide to buy in the bookstore. He's pretty funny and likes to tell you how he feels on different subjects.

His class are not the hardest but the way he teaches the material allows you to learn and retain the knowledge like you dont in most classes. He makes corny jokes but they keep his class interesting. I wouldnt take any other biology class but his.

His class isn't too hard, but it's not too easy either. You have to work to get the grade. He is a really nice man, and he understands and listens to you when you need help. I think he's an excellent teacher.

He may like himself too much, but this class is rediculously easy. I went to class every day, listened to my Ipod and filled out the study guide.. never said a word or asked a question. I studied for about an hour before each test and i made a 96A .

now this guy is cool...he's hillarious..and makes the lectures so much fun...i really enjoyed his class..tests are easy..just study notes

This class was very informative. Not too hard--still need to study and learn the information. Besides, this is an introductory class and you need the information for later classes! Take advantage of Dr. Sellers and go to lecture-you will understand the information much better.

Yea, the study guides are no more but he underlines the "important" information in the powerpoint. It is straight notes from the overhead and lecture. There are no surprises on the test. The tests are easy if you know your notes. His opinions on the world/life may be a little strange at times but they're usually funny and make the class enjoyable.

The test came from the notes copied from the overhead. VERY easy, and actually semi-interesting. HIGHLY recommend!

Dr. Sellers is a fun teacher--his classes are interesting & you will definitely learn the information. Just show up to class--he gives you a custom study guide. Fill it out as he lectures & discusses each topic. Then simply study for the test from the guide. Some of his questions are worded terribly & it's hard to get a 100, but easy to get an A!

Dr. Sellers is an excellent professor! Before his class, I hated science. Now I actually understand the concept of biology. This was a fairly easy class. He gives thourough notes that cover everything on the test. You really don't need to buy the book. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sellers!!!!

He's really good. I like that he NEVER changes his test or notes, so get a book from someone who highlights and the study guide manual and its a breeze.

I took the BISC 130 series and 199 under him and he is AMAZING. He's witty and very honest. I couldn't have had a better experience. I'm going to be sad when he retires!!!

Dr. Sellers is really good. Just come to class and follow along in the book. All you need to study is the exam guide. He gives some 5 pt. quizzes & they can help your grade. Even though his class is easy, it is very much worth your time!!

Dr. Sellers is a really good teacher. He is cynical and a little full of himself, so be prepared. His class is very interesting though. Bring your book to class, follow along and highlight/underline. It really helps. Every now and then he will give some pop quizzes when a lot of people skip class. Study the exam guide and you will do fine.

Had him for 3 different biology classes. He tells things like they are. His class is pretty easy. Follow along in the book and study from the study guide he gives you. I recommend taking him.

Gives study guide booklet that you can work on as you learn in class & it is very helpful for the tests. The guy is crazy but he makes class interesting. You need your textbook to highlight what he goes over in class. Study what you have highlighted & the study guide and you should easily pass with an A. Gives a few bonus points on random days.

Dr. Sellers is a great teacher. He gives u a study guide booklet, a few bonus points and he never takes role!!!!! But some of the questions on the test are a little confusing so make sure u know ur stuff.

His teaching is very clear, informative, and interesting. He is kind of cocky and he complains a lot about "our generation." But if you taught college kids for 27 years you'd hate them to. I do and I've only been around them 3 years.

Dr. Sellers has been teaching Medical Ethics for like 20+ years and does a great job. Every once in a while he will go kinda liberal on everyone, but overall it is a great class and I would recommend all Biology majors to take it.

Best teacher ever. Study the study guide front and back and understand it and you will do great. Only bad thing is in 132 there are 7 tests in the quarter. Yes, 7. And they are all comprehensive from the previous ones. But as long as you studied the test before then no real need to look over previous info because tests are so close together.

His class is hard, but you will learn a lot from him if you go to class. He gives a study guide. But it doesn't cover the entire test. For that you need to listen to his lectures, and there will still be questions on there he didn't review--but few. You should get an A if you use the guide and attend class.

Awesome Professor!!! He gives you a study guide, this guarntees a C. If you pay attention to lectures and follow the diagrams in the book, easy A. Attendance is not mandatory but he gives quizs that only hurt your grade if you are not there. One girl had an A on all the test but never came to class and finished with a C. Same text is used in Bisc13

Ole Larry... quirky and dorky, but in the best way.... he cracks me up a lot. He's a super good teacher who really knows how to make things memorable.

Wonderful teacher. I actually enjoy going to class and listening to him talk. The textbook can be kind of confusing, but he explains the entire chapter in great clarity. You can make an easy A as long as you read, do his studyguide, and pay attention in class! Enjoying him so much I'm signing up with him next quarter! :)

Good teacher, very liberal though and shows it when he lectures. I think i missed almost half of the classes and never made less than an 80 on a test. Same scenario in 132 just 7 tests instead of 4. From what i heard about other bio 130 and 132 teachers from my friends sellers is the way to go

He is only offering this class 2 more summer quarters, then it's over... maybe he is retiring - I don't know. His tests are easy as long as you go to class.

He teaches from the study guide and then test from the study guide. The wording of tests on questions can be tricky though. Study, study, study. And come to class because there are occasional quizzes. Sometimes tries to insert his political and evolutionary opinions.

Take this class! Study guides that DO help you with the test are provided, and he even gives you the answers to them. Why would anyone want to take anyone else? He is a wonderful speaker, and is hilarious!

Dr. Sellers is an awesome teacher. He sometimes goes on rants about politics and other non-related biology topics, but overall great teacher. He gives a study guide that, if you listen and fill it out during class, are pretty much guaranteed to pass. If you can take him, TAKE HIM!!!

This professor is amazing. If you study, you will pass. If you do not, you will not. Follow him as he goes through the study guide, fill it in, study the material and you will do well!! Dry humor, must be somewhat worldly to understand.

Dr. Sellers is the best. He's interesting and obviously loves what he teaches. Bring your study guide to class, it will help you greatly on the test. No curve, seven tests, occasional bonus. Always go to class. You'll learn something fun and weird every time.
