He has never advised my class about weed. Anyways, he is very knowledgable. However his writing is awful so read the book or sit up close in the lecture. Funny and cool.

HILARIOUS and really nice, easy to talk to outside of class. If you fall asleep during a few classes, it's okay, just study the guide that the T.A. gives before tests, and you'll get an A. Show up for class for the attendance, sit in the back if you tend to fall asleep. Fun class.

Probably one of the most knowledgable professors in the CJ field... unfortunately, he's not the most helpful guy on Earth, and usually sends you to his overworked TA-slave. He acts as if he has no time for your pathetic existence... now kneel before the almighty and holy Siegel, unworthy soul!

This guy is pretty easy. 2 or less absences, he will raise final grade. no final. 4 tests, go to 3 of them. funny guy, but sometimes doesn't answer questions well.

This guy is so easy and is a GREAT teacher, whoever wrote the below comment is an IDIOT!! Cool Guys are tough!?!? What a loser. Siegel makes the class really interesting and fun. The tests are SO easy and the TA tells you exactly what is on them. Easy A!!!

A really laid back guy, by far my most favorite CJ proff. too bad he only teaches 2 courses. His jokes are cheesy but it's a fun class. Highly reccomended

Funny funny guy- one of the more memorable teachers from Lowell.

This guy is so funny!!! He mastered the art of comedy and teaching. If you have a disease where you would hurt for laughing to hard, then don't take this class. Be prepared to learn and laugh. Super easy class too...and u learn!

Siegel is the man take a class with him, you'll enjoy it, funny guy.

he tries to make you laugh the whole time. sometimes it works. most of the time he swears too much which makes you think he's used to teaching freshmen - only freshmen say "haha the professor swore!" i took it as a free elective and as far as survey classes go this one was pretty simple. don't buy the book it costs too much and you dont need it.

Intro to Criminal Justice and Criminology were soooo incredibly easy. The class is really long but it's interesting. Sometimes he's funny but if not, it's probably such a bad joke it ends up being funny anyway. He's really lienient and helpful and he'll listen to what you say. If you go to class you get a + or - added to your final grade too.

criminal justick is awesome, and criminology is good too, def worth takin, he scales everything and will not fail you, take this class befoe he retires!!

criminology--he's pretty funny and interesting, tells some insane stories. class def worth taking. i'd take a class from him again.

Dr. Siegel is an extremely knowledgable professor. took his crimonological theory class over the summer on line. found his asignments very challanging, however fair. i woould recommend him any time.

It's a freshman class so its not rocket science but he makes the class fun because he's hilarious! Don't walk over him though or he will get mad. Pay attention in class, read the text before exams. Don't miss more than 2 classes and you will be bumped up a grade.

...I wish he taught more classes cuz he is phenomenal. Makes classes interesting with personal stories and ridiculous jokes. I loved going to class and i didnt miss a single class the whole semester. He knows his material, he even writes textbooks. Smart guy even though sometimes he rolled into class late bc he overslept.

Man he is cool, he really truely cares about his students and wants everyone to get As, if you pay attention, look over the notes (which he posts on-line) and read the book you will get B+ or higher on all tests, great guy, wears same shirt to class every day

4 tests, lowest one dropped. all notes accessible online. if you study and show up for the tests you will probably get an A. he is a pretty funny guy too, and keeps the class interesting when he can

The best professor I've had so far. The class was probably the most informative CJ class I've taken, and I was able to use info learned for all my other classes. Easy tests if you study, and he really will go to ridiculous lengths to get everyone an A. Funny guy with lots of stories, but you do end up hearing the same one liners over and over.

LOVE THIS GUY!!!!!! Absolutely hillarious, but also very smart and knows what he is talking about. He is a little upset about not getting a red pepper yet, but he is a cutie, eventhough he is a grandfather ;)

He's really easy. Easy A. He does take attendance but really all you need are his study guides and you'll get As on the tests no problem.

If you are going to take Criminological Theory, take it with Larry. He's a good guy, works hard to make sure the students know the material. However, I find it rather ironic that he doesn't use his own textbook for the class and yet all of his notes for the online class come from his textbook. It's nice not having to pay the extra money for it.

Great class. Awesome teacher. Very Very Very funny.. Only problem with the class, is that I cant take it every semester :). You'll love him.

Took his class as an elective. Easiest class ever! He gives you a really clear study guide before every test, so you just have to know everything on that sheet and you can an A. Take notes if you dont want to buy the book. But the book helps you pass the exams more than his notes do.

He talks about his Porsche a lot. Sometimes he's funny but if not, it's such a bad joke it ends up being funny anyway. He's really lenient just don’t ask him too many questions. Also just buy an older version of the book. His TA is his slave. By the end of the semester you will be deaf from hearing his high pitched voice trough the microphone.

Best elective I've taken in a while. Larry is a riot with his stories... not sure all of them help improve police/community relations though. He just wants to get across: don't break the law because then you really are f'ked (more ways then one). The chili pepper was made for guys like him. You stay classy Larry!

The class is in an auditorium setting. What he teaches is easy but the notes dont really help. The tests can be easily passed if you do the study guide and memorize all of it. Attendance is required to bump you up if you need it. Super easy class

TAKE HIS CLASS. Expect homework, participation matters, extremely interesting, sense of humor, there for you no problem, clear grading criteria, assigns papers you have to work at but if you have been doing assignments you will be OK, treats you like the adult you are & expects you to act like an adult, very fair & cares a lot about every student.

great stories. Makes material very interesting and is always available to help and answer question. Easy class if you do your two papers and discussion boards.

This professor is the absolute best! I have had him for three courses and he is a very fair and informative professor. He is very knowledge about the course material and criminal justice issues and events outside the course. The lectures are very good and informative and very interesting. He is one of the best professors, if not the best at UML.

Great professor and amazing person. Really cares about the students beyond the class. Def recommend his course!
