He Great Professor always tries to keep his students actively involved his class is easy to follow and personable.

I really enjoy this class. the professor is great and respectful. He is not only teaching me about the knowledge from the textbook, it also teaches us the important things in business or life. I love the video what he shows in the class and the story what he shares with the students.

This class was fairly easy. 10 quizzes and a min. of 10 discussion posts which are easy and cover interesting topics. There are multiple opportunities for extra credit. I took the online class, however, if you'd like you can stop by his lectures. One big project/research paper due at end of semester. Love the flexibility of the online class!

I am currently taking one of his online courses which I have really enjoyed so far. This class is overall pretty easy mainly consisting of discussions and quizzes though there is a project due at the end of this course. The videos he provides are also very interesting! If you have question he responds very quickly with a clear answer.

He doesn't just teach entrepreneurship, he teaches you how to think for yourself. This is the first entrepreneurship class for my minor and I am glad I had this class with professor Straub.

He uses lots of YouTube videos for his discussions that are always actually really interesting to watch and aren't lengthy to watch either. Would definitely recommend!

Larry Straub takes time each week to do a very informative discussion post online. He goes into great detail about the week's discussion and gives us great feedback. What I really enjoy about his class and him as a person is that he puts in effort to help us succeed and it motivates me to be the best student I can be! Would 10/recommend.

He's an awesome guy. Class is pretty long. I took the course online but he offers going in for extra credit. Speaking of, there are a lot of extra credit opportunities. The end of the year is the biggest part of the class which is a research paper/project by yourself or with a group. Take him, but be prepared for the exam at the end.

Professor Straub was an excellent teacher. I took his online class and it was very straight forward and easy to keep up with. There is one paper that you work on for most of the semester that counts for a large sum of your grade. There was no tests other than the Final at the end of the semester. 10/10 would recommend!

Unlike most professors who have assignments and tests constantly, Professor Straub would rather we learn from real life experience. He brings in speakers to teach us about the successes and failures of the real world because he wants us to be aware of these factors after we graduate; which is truly helpful in the grand scheme of things.

Great Professor, It was his first year doing the online class, and he exceeded my expectations!

Dr. Straub is one of the best professors that iv'e had at wichita state. I'm taking the course online; it's well structured and you only have to do weekly quizzes and discussion boards. You get to choose to write a research paper or business plan and there is only 1 test. This class is very passable and enjoyable.

Dr. Straub was a good professor. Tries to keep the class engaged by showing videos and starting the class of with discussion. I appreciated Dr. Straub's honesty of where he stands politically and in life in general. Although, he is a little to middle of the road for me. I do appreciate him not making it another class based on liberal agenda.

Professor Straub came off as a great person in addition to a great teacher. He cares about his students and is passionate about the class. You can tell he teaches because he loves it rather than just doing it as a job. I had Professor Straub for ENTR310 and would definitely recommend him for anybody else taking this class. He is an excellent teacher and communicator. You won't find many professors that can engage a traditional age college student for two and a half hours continuously. At the beginning of the course, I was very intimidated mainly because I felt like there weren't many details and Professor Straub set up his "classroom" very differently than others. As time went on, I learned how he works, and that he is very interactive and caring and wants you to succeed. I love that his is flexible and willing to work with you.

Very inspirational and caring, she has these weekly discussions where you just discuss a topic and really just give your 2 cents. Found these easy but also very effective. I encourage people taking this class to watch the videos she recommends watching because they are useful in everyday life. Great professor even though I never met her lol.

He has been my favorite professor so far, which being at close to Junior level means a lot. As a full time employee with a full time school load, he is flexible on his deadlines which is so very helpful. While this class wasn't very difficult, it amongst some of my favorite classes during my tenure at WSU. Dr. Straub has spent so much time shaping the curriculum around real world application. This is really refreshing, especially as it is an entrepreneurship class! Participation isn't 100% necessary, but you're only hurting yourself if you don't.

The teacher gives students the opportunity to make sure they are understanding each assignment, very helpful when answering questions pertaining to the assignments and he gives clear instructions and dates for each assignments that are due.

He really understands that college students are adults going through life. I like how the paper is our final. Not everyone is an amazing test taker, or get nervous and forget information. I am like that even when I study. I think writing a paper as a final shows what you learned and gives you time to get it correct.

I am currently taking ENTR310 as an online student. While the class hasn't been extremely difficult so far, Professor Straub does require you to use your critical thinking skills. He is the ONLY professor I've had, who has sought feedback in order to improve his ability to teach (you got to love that). Take ENTR 310 with Straub, you wont regret it!

Professor Straub's Entrepreneurial Experience course covers introductory concepts of business. The format of the class consists of standard and lecture and discussions. This class involves a lot of writing. There is a discussion post each week that is required to be 2 pages double-spaced, there is also a required business plan/research project (6-10 pages). There are quizzes for many of the chapters, the questions are straight from the book.

This class was quite the breeze. There were chapter quizzes and discussions every week. Discussion participation did matter especially since it was an online class. Professor Straub gave back feedback on discussions which I liked. The class load was not heavy and very manageable. If you are worried about taking it online, I 10/10 would recommend.

Honestly, this course seemed pretty easy overall if you read the textbooks all the questions on the quiz are really easy and fast to answer! If you take it online just be sure to work through the quizzes as suggested so you won't have to try and catch up on the last week. The professor seemed to be willing to help whenever you needed it.

Was a little reluctant on how the class was structured thought it might be a bit challenging, but overall It worked very well. Prof Straub put a lot of thought an time into his lectures many times relating them to current events.

The online, 8-week class of ENTR 310 has two types of homework quizzes and discussion board posts. Discussion board posts are weekly but the due dates are lenient, meaning each is due Friday but i had no trouble turning them in on Sunday. A lot of extra credit opportunities too.

Over all great class. Very few points in the class, but not hard at all to get an A.

Prof. Straub is a great teacher and will provide a lot of philosophical insights to go towards your business mindset. He'll help you keep it real with some truth about how the world really is. This was an 8 week online course so every week, we had one discussion (he recommends 500 words) and one or two quizzes. A brief project in the end.

Easy online course! You can get a 100% on quizzes just by the book. As far as I know as long as you reach the length requirement, you'll do fine on discussion boards. The research paper is the better option for the final IMO. He really cares about his students and gives great resources! You get out what out put in

Probably one of the best, relaxing and fun classes I have ever had. Attendance has alot of marks so do show up. class is never lecture heavy and not difficult. Really inspirational and never makes the class boring.

Straub is a good professor and has real life experience so he has a different perspective than other business professors. There does not seem to much homework required but there was paper due at the end of the semester. Nothing terrible and you could choose from research or a business plan.

This my second year of college and l have to say he is the best proffessor so far. He cares a lot about his student and his lectures are the best. He makes you feel comfortable and his experience when it comes to business helps understand how business works in real life. Do your assignments ,attend class and you will be fine.

He was a good teacher, though the content covered in the course was not very interesting he found ways to liven up the class. It was rough taking it at night from 7-10pm, but he never kept us past 9:30 so it wasn't too bad.

This is one of the easiest classes I have taken at Wichita State. I took this online, and Professor Straub highly cares about his students. He gives lots of real world applications, and always is ready to help students. Like I said, class is super easy, just online quizzes and discussion board posts. There is an end of the semester project as well.

This is an amazing class. The weekly assignments are a two page write up of some topic of discussion, and there is usually options of what to write about. He offers plenty of opportunities for extra credit as well. The class is manageable, and you also learn a lot in it.

I took his ENTR310 class and honestly thought I would hate it. However, he kept the class interesting and it kept my attention all semster! I loved the fact it was a do it at your own pace and that there was plenty of extra credit just incase you do not do so well on the project or final. He was very helpful anytime I emailed and quick to repond.

Very good class, there is a discussion board every week but it gets you thinking about how this class relates to the real world.

I took ENTR310 online from this professor. His class was very easygoing and pretty simple. I didn't struggle to get a good grade and I didn't have hours of homework every week. My only complaint is that the schedule for the assignment due dates/the layout of the class on blackboard is pretty confusing at first. It's not bad once you get used to it.

Prof. Straub goes beyond the course material and powerpoints to provide interesting discussions and career direction. If you are an online student he invites you to a couple of specific in class dates for special speakers and gives you a few points of extra credit for attending.

He is a very kind person and he is patient. He cares a lot about his student. He gives a lot of extra credit in order to pass the class.

This is definitely one of my favorite courses and professor so far. He is very caring and understanding. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. You do need the book, but this course is not test heavy. He also is lenient with due dates. I really respect him as a professor. Wish I could take more courses with him.

The class has 10 quizzes that have the answers word for word in the textbook. There is also a weekly discussion post that is about a page long. At the end of the semester you will have a big project to turn in, but it is not difficult. The class should be an easy A if you do the work.

He was my online instructor for ENTR 310 and was very flexible. The class had minimal work and even with that, no deadlines were enforced heavily as long as you met the standard. He was great and he taught me more than most professors would. That speaks volumes since he was an online instructor.

It was perfect to pair with a more academically challenging semester where a lot of upper level classes are taken. There is a weekly discussion board that requires a 2 page write up over TOPICS HE GIVES YOU! So you don't even have to really try to think of something. All Quizzes were opening at the start of the year and are easy knock outs and As.

This class is perfect for those who like to know whats going on ahead of time, everything is planned and specified making it nearly impossible to fail. Dr. Straub's ENTR class consist mainly of lectures and group activities. He is very good at relating the course information to what is currently happening in our society. He also provides a lot of "behind the scenes" looks at an entrepreneur's life with stories from the time he was in business. Do well on the quizzes and essay and you will pass.

Entrepreneurship isn't my favorite topic in general, but Larry Straub found ways to involve students and convey important topics in a meaningful manner. I learned a lot in this class. I recommend showing up for each class as he takes attendance into the grade, and much of the course material is presented verbally in addition to presentations.

His class tied into many of my other businesses classes, and even in the relaxed environment, I gained much knowledge. Despite all that, I disliked how he offered extra credit for ratings.

This professor is one for the books. I learned more in his class than I have in any of my others (Im a junior). Not just about business but life. Go to all the lectures. It's late at night but it only meets once a week and pay attention because he has numerous amounts of business experience that you need to hear to stay afloat in this day in age.

He is a great professor. He takes attendance, so it's very helpful to show up and even though the class is at night, it is interesting to listen to him. Quizzes and the final exam are online but there is a 5-10 page project. Overall, not a difficult class.

His online class is very discussion heavy. He gives you a few prompts and you write a couple pages over them. There are quizzes but no real due date for them. Pretty easy class. Just writer your couple pages a week and pass.

Straub offers great personal experience advice. It is nice to learn from someone who not only has the ability to teach but offers relatable thought-provoking subjects to discuss.

The syllabus is very simple and clear on his expectations and grading standards. I personally enjoy our weekly discussion topics and videos that can be very relatable and eye-opening on certain subjects. The whole main portion of your grade is very dependent on weekly discussions and participation. I took the course online, definitely recommend!

He is an awesome teacher for this class. He always invited business people to come to our class and have some talks which are very valuable for students like us. however, due to COVID 19, our campus class was canceled. therefore, we didn't learn much from him

I slacked on his class for most of the semester and he gave me the opportunity to catch up completely. I am grateful and respect him for allowing me to do that. He is extremely flexible and forgiving. I highly recommend him.

I know everyone went through a hard time during this semester because of the pandemic. As a parent and a student who lost a job in January from spirit it was a very trying stretch.
