Excellent class to take. There are a total of 10 homeworks, 1 midterm, and 1 final. Need to read the book carefully to do well on the test. We watched a lot of movies and this class was very interesting and fun.

very interesting class, good teacher, pretty easy, only has midterm/final which r not as easy as u would think, i actually studied and got a C, but as long as you do the hw you'll get a passing grade.

Remember to do all your homework... a good idea is to buy the book right away and do the assignments ASAP. Then just turn them in on the deadlines and relax. Tests based mostly on the book, not incredibly difficult but students often underestimate them.

the homework is important!! you could fail both the midterm and the final, but if you do all the homework, you'll still end up with a C. he even tells you this during the first week of classes. the movie clips are interesting too.

Buy the workbook and do the homework. Fun class, you watch movies everyday! 1 midterm, 1 final - multiple choice and its easy. Most stuff you probably know already. Has many contacts in the Hollywood music industry as well. Talk to him.

I seriously loved this guy! He never took role, he shows movies everyday, and homework is due once a week! Visit him in his office hours if ya want a little extra test help. He is a very funny professor and quite passionate about his book and class!

I love him! He is one of the nicest professors i have ever had. has a true passion for what he teaches. class is optional. do all the hw. know the test study guides like the back of your hand! dont let people tell you this class is an easy A. you need to study for it!

He is the nicest prof. I barely studied, and got an A on the midterm (haven't taken the final yet). He's very intertaining and if you want an easy A, this class is a MUST! You need the book to do the homework, but I didn't read the chapters.

This class is the best. All you have to do is go to class (which consists of watching movies 75% of the time) and buy the book to do the homework. You can fill out the answers to the homework while he lectures. Super Easy Class.

This guy is crazy! He's always doing weird things but it makes the class interesting. Everything he goes over is in the book so class attendance isnt a big deal. My favorite class!

One of the best classes I ever too! Easy A- just do the homework. You can do other things in his class to and get to watch some interesting clips and learn a few things about films that you never knew. Take him!

Very enthusiastic, knows just about everything there is to know about film scores. His class introduced me to some great movies that I had never even heard about. Highly recommended.

A fun class if you have the opportunity to take it. Prof's humor is a little lame, but comical at times. Easy class and fun/interesting.

prof. timm was a great professor. the worst thing about class was that his leacuters were very redundent, sometimes a point would literally be said five or six times. homework is easy, tests are a little more of a challenge but no the less pretty ok. very understanding professor, nice guy.

He is very knowledgable and approachable. If you study his review, his midterm is an easy B and his final is an easy A. A lot of material to remember for both exams, but the answers are in the reviews. The final exam review is like 12 pages. Homework is easy and don't bother showing up to every class, just most of them.

Just do the homework and you should be fine. The tests are kind of tricky though, so study hard. He knows his stuff, so dont be afraid to approach him

his film music class is incredibly entertaining! he shows film clips from a variety of movies and shows you the impact that music has on your emotions connected to film. although he doesn't take role, this is a class you want to attend or you are going to miss out on all the entertainment! he is the best teacher i've had and one of the funniest!

He is definately one of the best professors at the University. He is funny, passionate, approachable, and helpful. This class is easy, but you will learn a great deal, especially if you attend class. There's only one midtem and the final. If you follow the study guides you'll do fine. The final seemed a lot easier than the Midterm - I got an A!

Mr. Timm is a great professor. You can tell he love teaching. He is very passionate about his class. He make it fun to be in his class. His class is not hard if you do the homework and study for the tests.

By far, one of the easiest, kick-back classes at CSUF. You get to watch some movie clips, easy homework assignments that can be done during one lecture, and exams that are a breeze...must take if you need to boost your GPA.

take this professor, he is sooo nice and the class is an easy A, and worthwhile in the long run. You have to attend class to do well on the tests, and you also have to attend 4 concerts on campus and write papers on them, but that is the easiest part!

Tightest effing teacher and class!!! Class was really cool and so was he! He actually works in the business so he's super knowlegable and fun to talk to. Take this class! It's not too hard. If you want to do really well, read the book and study for the tests. They come straight out of book and lecture!

DUDE!!! This is the easiest class ever! Unless you dont go at all and miss all the lectures, he wont let you fail. Tests are sooooo easy! Becuz he makes it so easy, you almost forget to do the concert reports, I would recommend doing them right away and getting them over with so you dont forget! Other than that, SOOOO EASY!!!

Great instructor makes the class very entertaining, homework assignments are straight-out of the book (duh) and gives out a mid-term and final review sheets at least 2 weeks before the mid-term/final. No reason why you shouldn't get an A/B in the class. Highly recommended :D

Easy class. The study guide for the first test is kind of long. study it and the test should be easy. the class is also pretty interesting so it is easy to catch onto what the test is going to be. he also tells you what to underline so that makes notes pretty easy too. Do your homework, it is very important.

Great teacher, he knows what he is talking about. He has interesting stories and the class is fun. There are only two tests, but he gives you a good review. also, there is weekly homework, its easy though, you can do it during class and turn it in after. also allowed to go to any class session if you need to miss yours.

Prof Timm is a great guy. He really knows his stuff and makes it very interesting. No need to go to class except on due dates. Homework is super easy, just make sure you do it because it does add up. Study guide for tests is straightforward. Also offers extra credit. Great professor, highly recommended.

This guys is ha-ha-halarious! He is such a character you will laugh even when his jokes aren’t funny. He is so knowledgeable about the industry and seems to know a lot of people the business as well. Good luck trying to get in his class, it took me 2 semesters. He was one of my favorites.

Very good class. Attendance is not mandatory, but he shows films a lot in the class. Only a midterm, final, and homework. But, the midterm and final are really specific - make sure to know the book well for the exam. But it is easy to get an A or B in the class.

It's sad how people stop showing up just because class is not mandatory. He makes class really fun and he has a very good sense of humor! I loved him! You do need to study for his midterm and final exam. Do all of the homework because it helps. You get to watch film clips in class and they're great

i never attended class so i didnt well on the exams. i did do all the homework and recieved full credit. homework is not hard. do extra credit cuz itll help. overall, easy class and super nice funny teacher. i ended up with a B after getting Ds on the exams. :)

I would have to say that it was the best class I took all of Spring 07 semester. He was funny, kept the class interesting and is very helpful. You don't have to go to class all the time. Just do the hw from the book and take the tests. He is a great guy and I am so glad I took the class! I enjoy the music in movies even more then I did before!

Mr. Timm was a great professor, he was always at class prepared to lecture and made them fun well sometimes the material could be considered boring. He was very open to metting with me one on one and helped me out a lot through this semester.

Class was very interesting. He was so passionate when teaching which made you interested in learning. You are able to recieve ten points extra credit and only take two exams. It's not mandatory to show up but if you don't you might miss something important.

Easiest class in the world, do the homeworks and show up for the tests and it should be an easy General Ed Class. Attendance is not needed.

you cant buy the book used b/c he wrote it & he wants you to fill out the hw assigns & not photocopy them. attendance isnt mandatory. do the hw in the book & the study guide for the test. easiest class if you do the little things he asks of you.

teacher is easy as long as you study for his tests. mainly true false questions and some multiple choice. there are 50 questions for each test. 1 test and a final. got a B in the class after scoring C's on my test and getting almost every hw assignment perfect. attendance not required easy class. i recommend him

AMAZING Professor and Class!! He makes all of the classes interesting & entertaining. only 10 short hw assignments, a midterm, & final. He's VERY compassionate. I had to miss the midterm because of a funeral and not only did he let me choose the day I wanted to take it, he told me I could take as much time as needed. I really enjoyed his class.

Super easy class!! You don't have to attend, he never takes attendance and doesn't really care if people don't show up. Some people find the subject matter very interesting and some don't. However the class is easy nontheless.

Funny, easy going, and humble. He's real prestigious is the music industry. He graduated from yale but never mentions his high status. Overall, you will need to study your ass for the midterm and final. The reviews are about 15 pages long where he only takes 50 questions from it so you must study it all. Other than that, very easy, 10 simple hw's

This professor is Great. He explains the material very well but you need to study for his midterm and final. He is not an easy A. Follow the instructions and you will pass.

He is a strangely funny man. He screamed and ran out of class on the first day of class, it was the funniest thing ever. He randomly tells jokes all the time and is so random but it was funny. Easy class, gets super boring sometimes. Timm is awesome.

Honestly, I only went to class about 5 times...although I missed his lecture, I passed the class because he posts the study guides online. His study guides are filled with all the information you need for tests. As long as you read over the study guides and study, you should be fine. PS his classroom lights are dim so it makes you sleepy.

Timm is so funny and random. He is wonderful and is extremely passionate about what he does. The only work required are worksheets from the book, and the exams are based off the worksheets. Notes and attendenece are not mandatory, but I still can't stay away from this class, it is very interesting and easy to follow. I love it.

Timm is great. Requires the textbook because the hw worksheets are from the book, so you have to buy it new. Only points for the class are from hw worksheets and two exams. Most of the time during the lecture he gives you some of the answers to the hw questions. The exams are based from the worksheets.Exams aren't that hard if you studied.

I ditched this class so many times, but he posts a study guide online and as long as you study you will do fine on his tests. The 4 concert reports are a bit tedious because you have pay and sit through all 4 concerts. Overall if you want an easy class you can fall asleep in take Dr.Timm!!

BEST CLASS EVER. You only have to attend the midterm and final, but the material is so interesting for anyone who loves movies, or music, that you ACTUALLY WANT TO GO. I know, wow. I'm a biology major but I'm obsessed with film music now. Best upper division GE course to take, easiest A or B of your entire life.

Super chill and passionate. Easiest class I ever took. I literally only came to class 4-5 times and I got an A. He lectures right off the book, but you def need to buy it if you want to pass. I honestly think you just go to class for the experience of seeing and hearing movie clips and music because you can learn everything off the book. Literally.

Dr. Timm is awesome. He really made up for all the terrible teachers I have had in the past. I looked forward with anticipation to each class. I have thought of chaning my major film after taking this class.

EASY! He has the music on blast! It's like walking into a movie theater. Don't need to be there- I missed alot of days (had a hard time getting up in the morning..but really liked going to class!) and still got a B. Just do the worksheets in the book- those will help you with the test. His lectures are straight from the book and shows video clips.

Probably the most passionate teacher I have ever taken. It is also one of the easiest classes and attendance isn't mandatory but if you honestly have an interest show up, it is very useful if you like motion pictures and music. It's insulting Timm if you only occasionally come to class for homework. Respect the man, fill his auditorium seats.

The best teacher @ CSUF. Attendance not mandatory but still fun to go to class. He has a lot of awesome jokes and tries to keep things interesting. Homework is incredibly easier and he doesn't even read it. Exam 1 was easy but the final has a lot of content to cover. Overall, easy class that you don't even need to show up for.

The most informative and passionate guy I've met on this campus. He has brushed shoulders with Hollywood's finest, yet he has time for any and everyone. He has funny and interesting stories dealing with course material. It's a super easy class you have 2 tests and a few chapter homework assignments. You do not have to go to class but its easier to go bc he tells u literally all the important stuff for his test (rather than reading the extra stuff in the book)

This is BY FAR the best professor I have ever had, and it is such a fun class. The one I'm taking is early in the morning but I don't even care, I always look forward to the days I get to go to this class! Professor Timm is super passionate, not strict, nicest guy in the world and such a goofball. By all means, TAKE THE CLASS IF YOU CAN!!

Sweetest professor I've ever had. Attendance is not mandatory, but honestly, the class is so much fun to go to. I take Mus355 at 8:30 and I love that I start my day off with Dr. Timm. Very approachable, helpful, and passionate about the subject. Take him!

SUPER EASY. NEVER studied for the exams and still passed the class with a 98%. There's no extra credit so that's my actual grade score. Test are straight forward and the answers are obvious.

Professor Timm is the best! He is so nice and so understanding. Definitely take his class. 2 Exams, final is not cumulative and chapter assignments that are super easy. Learned a lot from his class. It was pretty fun and interesting. Good stress reliever from other classes.

Heavy usage on textbook (that he wrote), so no powerpoints during lecture. Tests can be tricky and homeworks were time consuming. Exams are straight-forward, and came from the text, so make sure you read it. Overall, the class was OK.

Very easy and if you study and do the weekly assignments. Our class missed about 2-3 weeks of class due to his ilness, but Thom Sharpe was a great fill in and finished the class well.

You have to buy his textbook to do the homework, no used textboosk. However the homework is easy and straight from the book. He highlights what to study for the test from the book too. Class is pretty interesting, attendance doesn't matter, and he clearly has fun teaching. He was sick last semester, so good luck to his future classes.

Super easy class. Attendance not mandatory, but you have to buy the book cause the homework is in there. It's super expensive and you can't buy it used. Worst part. Other than that, super easy assignments & exams are multiple choice & easy if you study. Class not mandatory. You can tell he's passionate about the subject also, which is nice.

4/5 of the class is gone everyday out of 210ish people. He'll lecture from the book and show clips. 2 exams 10 hw assignments. Easy. A great man and definitely passionate about the film music. Take it if you need a class to relax in.

This class is an easy A and an enjoyable class as well! Attendance is not mandatory, so only 60 people out of 200 would show up regularly. Textbook is mandatory because the tear-out weekly hw assignments are in it. Study guide before the midterm and final, so just study those and do the homework on time and you'll pass with an A.

EASIEST CLASS EVER! You don't even have to go unless there is an exam or an assignment due, and he sends out a document stating those specific dates. Make sure you buy the book because that is where the homework comes from. It was very cool to see movies in a different perspective. I'd definitely recommend him and this class.

Although he's a bit on the strange side, Professor Timm is very passionate about his subject and is never short of entertaining. Also, he happens to be the nicest guy in the world. I was late to the final exam and he still allowed me to take it when I went to see him in his office. Good prof. Great person.

I took Professor Timm in Spring 2014. I highly recommend you take this class with him. He's a really kindhearted and funny person, his assignments are simple and straightforward, and the subject material is actually really interesting. Complete the easy homework, study for the tests (there's only two) and you'll be set.

Midterm and Final. You have have assignments directly out of the book. Must do all of them. I've seen people ace the midterm and final but by not having done the hw they fail. Easy if you study. I slacked studying for the final but paid attention in class and managed a B.

TAKE HIM! This is the most chill class ever! I went less than half of the time to class but I could've enjoyed his lectures. You will enjoy all the movies you get to watch each day. You have to read thoroughly since exams ask very specific Qs. Easy HW, 1 Exam & 1 Final. Reason I got a B- because I didn't study as much for tests and I regret it.

Not as easy as rumer, problem is that there is alot of things to remember for the final. It covers six chapter and you need remember bunch of people's name, films, what special about it. Homeworks are easy, you will get an A as long as you write stuff on there.

DR TIMM HAS A VERY ENGAGING STYLE OF TEACHING. HIS LECTURES WERE CLEAR, INTERESTING, AND INSPIRING. BY FAR ONE OF MY FAVORITE TEACHERS IN MY CAL STATE FULLERTON EXPERIENCE. BRAVO DR TIMM!

This class was interesting and fun. It helped fill my GE requirement and make my semester a tad lighter. WARNING: You have to buy his $100 textbook, due to the fact the homework sheets are in the book. Very interesting but easy class.

He is a very good professor. He does not take role. Homework is due each week for each chapter. But when you get to Chapters 6-11 they are due until the last lecture. Extra credit very easy just watch a movie and write about it. Only two exams, midterm and final, very easy. I took this course for my ged requirement and passed with an A.

Easiest class at CSUF. Straightforward and simple. 2 tests worth 66% of grade and HW worth 34%. If you do the review you will get A's on both tests. Homework is incredibly easy. It's impossible to get lower than a B in this class if you are a normal person.

Took this class as a GE and was really fun as the majority of class time was spent reviewing films. Does assign homework based on the chapters which are easy points. Attendance is not mandatory but gives answers to both midterm and final questions. Lectures can be long at times, but Timm is passionate about what he does and overall a fun class.

midtermfinals are based on the homework. study the study-guides that he hands out. do homework in advance, you can google for the answers. i got an A+. i composed a study group right before the midterm and final to trade study materials, did you know the actress in memoir of a geisha is Chinese, not japanese? that is a final answer.

Easiest upper division class I've ever taken. Barely anyone went to class and you don't really need to, but I did and that's why I did pretty well on the exams. All you do is watch films and listen to music in class. Only downside was the expensive textbook which had the homework sheets. But overall one of the best professors I've had. Take him!

I took Dr. Timm over summer (5 weeks long, 4 days a week) and found his class very interesting and easy. There was only one exam and homework for each chapter which was due on the last day of class. Dr. Timm is extremely knowledgeable and has many accolades as you will find out. Easy A and would absolutely recommend taking him.

I don't usually take the time to leave reviews for professors, but this is genuinely THE nicest man I have ever met in my entire life. He genuinely LOVES his job and teaching his students and is always there for them. His face lights up when he talks about music. Amazing teacher, definitely my favorite I've ever had in my life. He deserves a raise!

Film Music class taught by a real studio musician who KNOWS his stuff. He wrote the book so you must buy it new but he follows it exactly so it is great and interesting. If you don't want to go you don't have to. But lectures are fun, you watch movie clips and interviews and hear funny anecdotes from his experiences.

This class was very relaxing and you got to watch movies! Class was't bad at all and he makes up jokes that are funny.

Film music was very easy. Attendance is not mandatory, but he gives a couple answers that will be on the exams as a reward for students who do attend class. His lectures are fun and interesting. He tells you exactly what you have to know for the exams (only 1 midterm and 1 final).. Love this class! Take him if you can.

Strong candidate for most lovable professor, as far as that's concerned. The instruction is clear and taught with great enthusiasm (even in the early hours), as far as that's concerned. VERY enjoyable/fulfilling class, as far as that's concerned.

Lectures are amazing. He shows a lot of movie clips. He's kinda awkward but in a funny way, not a cringey way. He's very sweet and understanding when it comes to missing an assignment or test. I would definitely take the class again because it was genuinely interesting.

Take this class!!!! Must buy the textbook because the homework is inside and you rip the pages out to turn in. He also gives you a study guide before the final which is super helpful!!

LOVE HIM, take him, even for non-music majors! Even though class isn't mandatory, show up! he is so nice and i felt bad a lot of the time because people would always skip class :/ haha he gives study guides before exams and gives you test answers during class. Take this class if you can!

EASY A. He is funny and the homework assignments and tests are easy. I went to class a total of 4 TIMES the whole semester. 2 days that are test days and the 2 other are mandatory days to turn in homework packets (which are small). Take's questions about the exams DURING THE EXAMS & basically gives you the answer. He's so nice and caring, 10/10!

Great class and professor! He actually works in the industry so he knows the in's and out of film music and has exclusive material you most likely can't access anywhere else. You have to buy the book because you are required to rip out the homework pages from it. Extremely easy, even if you only study from the book and not come to class.

Take this class! You turn in homework twice a semester, and take a midterm/final. I never showed up to class and got an A! The book is REQUIRED. The answers to the homework are all in the book, and you just need to show up to class the day before your test and he goes over a review guide with you. Everything on the test is on the review!

Does not take attendance. Only bad side is that you have to buy his textbook (which he wrote) NEW. You tear out the homework from the book. Only days you really have to go to class is to turn in the homework and exam days. Two homeworks and two tests. He gives study guides, which he goes over and tells you which things are omitted from the exams.

Tim is a amazing and humorous professor. You do not have to attend his class to pass. The textbook is required because his lectures come straight from the book and always refers to them during class.

Professor Timm is great. I only attended the first day, two other classes to turn in homework, and for the final and got an A. The book is required for the tear out homework questions in the back of each chapter. The material is interesting if you actually read it, but this class is as easy at it gets when it comes to a 300 level course.

Fairly easy class. Great teacher, pretty humorous, tries to make his lectures interesting. Study the study guide well and you will be in great shape.

Professor Timm is great! Lecture are always very interesting and he's always animated. Textbook is necessary because the homework is in it and you need it to study. I only showed up to turn in the hw (twice) and take the midterm and final. He provides great study guides so you can look up the info for the tests in the book if you don't go to class

You can tell this professor loves the topic he teaches. Interesting material. I always came to class, but I would say attendance is not crucial. I don't see why not come if you don't have anything else to do? Pretty easy for upper division course.

In this class, you'll learn as much as you put in! This is an interesting class and Professor Timm is truly passionate about music. He's a kind person and makes class fun with all his jokes. Half of the class did not attend lectures but it's an awesome opportunity to listen to good music & get test questions, I highly recommended coming!

I heard great things about him and when I went to his classes, it exceeded my expectations. He is an awesome professor who loves to share stories and his passion about film music. This is his last official semester here and I'm going to miss him. He will come back to work part time.

Phenomenal lecturer. As long as you did the worksheets and studied the material from his study guide, then you are golden. Lecture wasn't mandatory and you definitely needed to buy the textbook. Only 2 tests(Midterm and Final) and 2 specific dates to turn in worksheets. No extra credit offered.( Midterm 100 points, Final 100 points, Worksheets 100)

The class is very well organized as well as well taught. Larry is a great professor who clearly goes over what he needs to teach in the class. His big grading items are two homework packets and a midterm and final. One of the best classes I've had here

He is amazing!!! You will not regret taking him, he is so caring about his students. As long as you do the work (its not difficult) you will get a good grade. He is so funny and keeps students engaged. Also he seems like such a good person which made the class that more encouraging to go to. I went to all the class meetings because hes that cool.

Amazing teacher! Class is not mandatory, but it is really important to go because the final and midterm cover everything that is said in class. I really loved taking this class and watching all the films from 1900s to recent movies. You NEED the textbook, a brand new one. Don't make the mistake of buying used like I did, you need the hmwk from it.

This was taken as an elective but was such a fun class! He is so passionate about music which makes the class 10x better. If I could take him for another course I definitely would! Easy/fun class.

This professor really knows his subject. He literally wrote the book and, not only is the class informative, but it's a lot of fun. You will learn about film music while being entertained. It was my favorite class at CSUF.

TAKE HIM if you want an easy A and knock off upper division units! I probably showed up 3-4 times throughout the semester and still received an A. His grading criteria is very simple and straightforward. You MUST buy his book because you have to tear out the pages and submit them. He provides complete study guides, all you need to do is memorize!

A fun professor, he really gives you a good look into the profoundness of film music. The textbook is a must because the homework packets are inside. The class is not that hard if you attend the lecture and do the homework. Make sure you study for those exams since your grade depends on 2 exams and 2 homework packets!

Loved this class and Prof. Timm, he's super sweet and really wants students to succeed. Your entire grade is dependent upon 2 hw packets and 2 exams. Must buy the book because hw packets are inside. Easy A. 11 homework book assignments and 2 exams. You will need to buy his recent book. Timm is a great professor and his lectures are compelling and it shows from his passion for film music. His lectures also provided a concise understanding of the material discussed in the book. I would highly recommend taking him.

Read the book, watch the lectures, do your homework, and it is an easy A. Not to mention it is actually very interesting!

I can't recommend him enough. The lectures run a little long at times, but he's very enthusiastic and has lots of great stories to tell. You can tell he loves what he does. Tests and homework are very easy if you do the reading/pay attention to lectures. The mandatory textbook is a little pricey though, so keep that in mind.

Professor Timm is an awesome teacher. He is very passionate about his subject which makes it much more interesting to listen to him teach. His video lectures can get a little lengthy, but they are easily bearable with his enthusiasm. It's unfortunate the class was online. If you can, take it in person, I know it would be awesome.

Great professor, it was a shame that we had to watch prerecorded lectures because it would have been great irl. His prerecorded lectures were long but really engaging and fun. The course work was relatively easy just easy textbook homework and 2 tests. Take him for a great and easy time.

I highly recommend this class to anyone that needs a GE class to graduate. You can not go wrong with taking this class. Beware, you can not buy a used textbook for this class because he makes you tear out the homework at the end of the chapters. Besides that, the class is extremely fun. You will learn a lot about the film world.

easy elective class - dont rlly need to watch the lecture videos. there are hw/workbook pages due in the middle and end of semester but all answers found in quizlet. midterm was open-note and based on the textbook - you submit a picture or pdf through email. no quizzes, only hw, midterm, and final! he's pretty old-school but nice and interesting !

Take this class. Prof Timm is awesome and the class is fun and easy. Just do the hw and watch the lectures. The lectures can be long at times so I recommend splitting them up across the week. You HAVE TO buy the textbook, all the hw is in there.

I really wished I took this course in person, but online he made us videos to watch and he would discuss different types of movies and the soundtracks. You had to buy the textbook because there is homework there that you will need to do. He has worked with movie producers too! which made the class so much interesting. Take it ! You won't regret it

Honestly, I really liked class/lectures but it can get heavy with the amount you need to watch. You have to buy the book unfortunately to do the homework but other than that you are graded by the midterm and final which aren't too bad another downside is you don't know you're grade for certain. Other than that great and interesting lectures.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!! The prof. is extremely passionate and knowledgeable. The work (takes about 1hr to complete for the week), midterm, and exam are super easy. It honestly doesn't even feel like a class, it just feels like you're speaking with a friend and learning about cool content. (you do have to buy a textbook $120)

His passion, knowledge, and experience within cinema and film music are beyond inspiring. I can listen to his lectures forever. His workbook is an absolute delight. I'm proud to own it and excited to learn more about film music even after this course. That's how inspiring he is.

Very caring and knowledgeable professor. The workload was very light in this course which was a huge plus. We had workbook questions, a midterm, and a final. The lectures were amazing but long. The content in this course was very engaging. I learned many new aspects of film music. Overall, this course was fantastic.

You can tell this guy is very passionate about his knowledge of film music. Had to buy a new edition textbook which had homework in it (mandatory), but doable. Video lectures were incredibly long. One midterm and one final.

He is very passionate and experienced in this subject. His lectures were also very entertaining and showcased old videos of composers. If buying the book is not a problem for you, I'd definitely recommend taking him if you need an elective. One of the easiest yet entertaining classes I have taken at Fullerton!
