THE funniest, and smartest instructor in douglas. Helps you get a real sense of the abstract ideas...But beware that he will cancel at least 3-4 classes... and if he doesn't have time to cover a topic, too bad! ..he won't cover it. Yet, 100% recommended!

This guy is the best math teacher I ever had. His test are fair as it can be, very similiar to the practice exams and HW. Also he makes you laugh, and doesnt bore you to death.

he is absolutely great... anyone will love him... he always gives a pre-test which is actually the test itself... he won't make memorize stuff(always a cheatsheet comes handy)... HE DOESN't CLEAR UR CALC MEMORY ;)

He is the best teacher I have ever had! I 100% recommend him to anyone who like to have a laugh in class. He is willing to take extra steps to give you a hand if you have any problems in the class with the work or going over the tests.

If ure takin calculas, take it with him. Unlike other teachers, he doenst try to stick it to the students. Funny classes and fair tests. Do the assigned questions for the HW, it will come very handy on the tests.

Oh My GOD, He is just great. I had him for precalc and calc, he is AMAZING. Easy, Very Funny, makes u enjoy math ALOT. He gives pretests, and the pretest IS the test. :) .Take him, U wil never ever regtret. He was the best teach I ever had and will have.

I have never learned so much in a math course before, and I have never had such an energetic, funny teacher. He is very fair, I totally recommend him to anyone in the sciences where you have to take lots of math. I love him! SO GREAT!!

Such a good teacher. He's hilarious and I actually don't mind going to class. His opinions on everything are great. He really helps you understand math concepts, while you also get a few lessons in american politics. I seriously recommend this teacher.

holy crap this guy looks like jerr garcia(sp?) ef'n hillarious guy, very knowledgable about the subject, easy going, funniest teacher i have ever had. Sometimes goes off topic but he will rarely lose your attention. Very recomended

Yeah!! this guy is the coolest dude that ever walked the Earth. Quizzes and tests are very generous and fair. Lenient marker, and extremely funny. Although he does go off topic sometimes. In conclusion: Larry's class=Guaranteed "A"

Great teacher. Cares about students. Vrey friendly. Knows the subject and explains very well. Highly recomended. (But always check your tests after him, he tends to miss things from time to time, so you might lose marks if you do not check.)

Hes tests are fair and he doesnt try to stick it to the students unlike some other teachers, he understands that calculas is hard enough, so he doesnt make it harder that it has to be. This guy is so good that i came from sfu to take a course with him. highly recommended.

Tombo is hilarious, a great guy! kind of an offensive sense of humor, but he is very funny. Super helpful, super nice guy, very approachable. vey clear.

Generous with marks, if you study, you'll ace the tests for sure. Makes class fun to go to, very approachable, won't make you feel stupid at all. I have been at Douglas for 2 years and just finished his Business Math class. He is Awesome, sometimes crude, but very very funny, he made a Calculus class one of my favorite classes to go to. I vote this Larry VERY HIGH !! After 2yrs , he is now my favorite teacher. Easy to understand, makes the class smile!! Great job Larry.

Calc was so much fun with larry its not even funny. Well no, it is funny, he makes class fun....he jokes around...and is kinda crude but all in all he's a great guy.You actually learn in his class..plus u have fun...and CMON this was calc... ..he gives lots of pretests which help and lets us go early if there is a canucks game on hahah THX LARRY

Larry was pretty good. Gets off topic a bit with his funny jokes. He is easy but thats not always a good thing. He gives you an exam booklet for scrap paper during exams. If your smart you'll do what I did on all my test. BRING YOUR OWN BOOKLET and SWITCH THEM ;)lol

He gets off topic, but he teaches you what he;s gonna test you on. If you do the homework tests are easy

Larry is the AWESOMEST prof ever! His class is always and i mean, always entertaining! His exams are 90% similar to the review papers and attendance is not compulsory. He doesnt require you to complete hw, but make sure you know ur stuff.. Overall, he's DAMN COOL!

TOMBO is an awesome prof. He understands that 90% of all students aren't math majors and that this is probably the only course your going to take. Funny, delightful, and he has a lot of subtle humor. Enjoyed the class so much... fun guy and just overall well. IF you take his class ask him about "cheque theory"

For students that MATH is their least favorite. Take him. He is funny and helpful. I failed ALL my quizzes and midterm BUT he told me never lose hope. Half of class withdraw. DO NOT WITHDRAW because he will give you sample problems for finals and that is exactly what will appear on the finals. I passed the course....HOORAY

LARRY IS THE BOMB! he's very encouraging and i really doubt you can fail his class....cause he'll try his best to make you pass!! test are usually pretty straight forward, no new material...always similar to hw. however, the final was a bit challenging, harder than test...=/ I TOTALLY LOVE LARRY, HE'S SOOOOO FUNNY!!!!

LARRY IS MY GOD!!!HE'S SOOO AMAZING, ridiculously funny. he tries soooooo hard not to fail anyone in his class. i wasn't a math genius, i worked so hard fo that course, but i still end up failing the test=/ he understands not everyone is good at math... He's tries to give people a c- instead of a P. LOVE LARRY!!! THOUGH HE'S GOFFY ALL THE TIME=)

Great Teacher. People with "clarity issues" should just take a distance ed course. I had no problems understanding him, and his lectures were great. I would take any class he had to teacher if he were still teaching

Really funny guy who tries to put humour into Math. Will go off topic a lot so if you need a structured class...this teacher isn't for you. Does what he can to ensure you pass if you show you're doing the work.

Larry is great at taking the stress out of learning maths by encouraging one to "look passed" the trivial topics covered in standard education, and forward into where maths COULD one day be used. In taking courses with Larry I've learnt that knowing how to means nothing if you don't know why. Ask questions. Guide yourself. Drive your learning.

Larry sticks to the text book and gives a formula sheet for the tests. His practice review tests are very similar to the tests he gives. very easy teacher and easy marker

grade is based on mid term and final. very good teacher and incorporates lots of current events into his math lectures which makes them interesting. He is there when you need him.

Larry is an awesome prof if you can handle his teaching style. His lecture are exclusively examples, which in my opinion is the best way to teach. Had 2 midterms which covered almost all of the material, and he provided reviews that were almost identical to the midterms. Show up to class, listen, do some questions from the text and you'll do well!

Larry is the best teacher. He is really engaging and entertaining. Explains his material really well, even if it is difficult content. Also a genuinely nice and very approachable instructor.

People say that Larry is confusing because in his lectures he is trying not to lead you to any false conclusions about the convoluted area of statistics. He uses real life examples and reasoning to teach statistics. THIS IS NOT REALLY A MATH CLASS. All formulas are given, you just have to know how to use and interpret them. Tests are easy

Larry was really nice, he's super chill and laid back, the tests was pretty easy, he gives out easy marks like take home quizzes, def would take with him again.

I went in to MATH1106 thinking I made a huge mistake. But that changed extremely quick as Larry makes the course challenging in a way that is actually fun. He is funny, and will do his absolute best to ensure that you excel (gives you similar test questions before the test). I would highly recommend that you take this course.

Larry is super helpful and always trying his best to give out good grades for everybody. His midterms are pretty easy, just study his reviews and notes. He doesn't write the final so be careful. But he gets to review it beforehand so he will tell you what is up. Textbook itself is pretty much useless expect for its examples.

Confused but solid teacher, his tests are very easy and my biggest regret was only getting an A- when an A+ was more than possible with him. Won't learn much from his tutorials but he helps you out tremendously for test prep and is a lenient marker.

Larry is hilarious. His lectures set you up to understand the readings. He doesn't go over every concept but instead makes sure that you understand the core idea and the reasoning behind it. I really enjoyed his teaching style and as long as you keep up with the reading he is awesome. He is also a very generous marker.

Larry's lectures are really funny but you learn more life lessons than math lessons. He gives review for his midterms and they give you a good idea of what is going to be on the actual test. Don't skip class because you will miss out on some good stories but also get ready to learn the material on your own time for the final

Larry is a bit strange but hes just trying to make math interesting. Rather than focus on specific problems, hell explain things in the bigger picture. Be prepared to teach yourself from the textbook. However hes super funny, really nice, and gives you marks on test for trying.

Larry is.. interesting. If you struggle with math and cannot teach yourself, do not take him. However, if you can learn statistics on your own, easy A. He's more of an entertainer than teacher. But his reviews are extremely helpful for preparation. I never showed up to class or did the hw until right before the exams and always managed to do well!

Larry makes the class interesting by telling jokes and stories. His midterm reviews are basically what the midterms are so I recommend studying those in particular along with the textbook. If you struggle with math, review notes and textbook bc its hard to understand few of the concepts towards the end. AND he's a very generous marker :)

Went for the madatory credit, stayed for the 2-hour stand up comandy. 10/10.

Larry is one of the best profs I've had while at Douglas. I am by no means good at math, but he made it so interesting and made me want to go to class and learn. He is very funny, and tells great stories of his life experiences. Without a doubt he will let you out early every class. Also you can bring cheat sheets to all exams a so take good notes.

Took this class for my math credit, and was very pleased, I would show up for a two hour lecture, get a 30 min lesson and a hour long comedy show. He will let you out early without question.

I wish I knew how Larry was before I took this class. Im gonna give you the run down so you can save yourself some time: the homework guide he gives you at the beginning of the semester is useless, throw it away because Larry doesnt even know what he assigned. His tests are the exact same as his test reviews, so just study and be able to do those

Larry understands that most students taking his class are only there for the credit. So as long as you show up and try to laugh at his jokes he will like you and be willing to give you free marks in the exams if you go talk to him about a question you didn't get. The tutorials were most helpful for actually learning how to do the work.
